My dog had a slightly runny eye. Without explaining costs or giving me the opportunity to decline, they tested for a couple of obscure, highly unlikely conditions. Of course, everything was fine and I walked out with a bill of several hundred dollars before I even knew what had just happened. I explained my dissatisfaction and they basically said, "too bad, go somewhere else". I would have been happy if they had offered any olive branch. These are new owners and this is certainly not the good old Elk Lake Vet. Those guys were fantastic!

The stuff was very welcoming! You won’t feel there like at other vets where they just run bussines, but this place really cares about your pet. My small breed dog used to have bad reaction on some vaccinations, and this was the only place who cared and made sure it won’t happen again!! They even kept Max there for couple hours to make sure he is fine for no extra charge. I can highly recommend this place!

We like all the women who work at the front desk - they are friendly and efficient! We had a good experience with the Asian female Doctor at Elk Lake (sorry, I forget her name) - she gave us honest advice for our dog Louis who had a partially torn ACL in the summer. We liked her alot. It seemed like she was very concerned with Louie's well being as well not making us pay thousands of dollars for unnecessary treatment or surgery. Louie is doing great now. We had an AWFUL experience with the male veterinarian at Elk Lake who supposedly owns the practice. He is an IDIOT for lack of a better word. We took our dog Flossy to Elk Lake a few months ago when we were concerned about a lump on her tummy. This Doctor told us that it was pretty obvious that Flossy had breast cancer. We were heartbroken and crying uncontrollably. His "plan" was to spay her "so it didn't get worse when she went into heat", do an ear cleaning and teeth cleaning, x rays and start her on antibiotics, a biopsy ETC ETC ETC. The first bill quote was around $2,000. We said all of those things seemed completely UNNECESSARY - why would we put Flossy through all of that pain and recovery before we even knew what was going on?. We just wanted her to have a biopsy and xray or blood work so we knew what was going on and how advanced it was. To make a long story a little bit shorter, we took her in for a follow up appointment a few weeks later (after we had SOME of what he suggested done) and he didn't even remember seeing her and was SO confused by her file. He asked about 15 times if we had taken he to another vet and how old she was. He then referred us to an oncologist which he should have done from the start who wanted to do more x rays, blood work etc. We drove out there to pick up her xrays and then the oncologist said the Elk Lake x rays were blurry so they would need to be re done. This man is ONLY looking for your money. You can tell he is NOT interested in the welfare of your pet at all. It's a shame because the Asian woman vet seems very intelligent and lovely but if he owns the clinic he is ultimately benefiting. Flossy passed away December 1st. This man wasted weeks of her life giving her antibiotics and if not for us saying NO to unecessary SURGERY Flossy would have no only been battling cancer but also recovering from being spayed. He's an IDIOT.

The staff and veterinarian at the Elk Lake Veterinary Hospital were all highly professional, kind, and supportive of our guinea pig health emergency. The clinic was clean and accommodating. They worked around our emergency beautifully, and Wilbur the guinea pig received great care. Dr. Petra was also wonderfully supportive with my children, talking them through Wilbur's condition, showing them how to care for him, and evincing such compassion. I highly recommend this vet - it's the only one we will be going to!

In a city with so many animals, and therefore animal services, one would think there is very little difference between Vets....Elk Lake Veterinary Hospital is certainly the exception. From the moment you step onto the property, you are greeted with an environment that seems designed to make you feel both at ease, and around animal lovers. The office is clean, filled with a beautiful ambiance, and staffed by cheerful, loving people. Dr. Wormack, the Vet I saw with my own elderly rescue Pug Shilo, seemed as if she had raised my dog herself all these years, as the compassion and love shown was intuitive to the point of utter familiarity, although this was our first visit. Not only do they offer a FREE Dental Exam for your Pet, but unlike other Vets, they also offer discounts and options in order to go further with treatment. At no time did I feel like my Pug wouldn't be given the best care, no matter what the route we took was. Truly cannot say just how wonderful of an experience this was, and certainly will be the place I take any future furry friends of mine.

The main office is closed to clients, so they have the parking lot set up wonderfully for appointments. They have giant umbrellas to keep the spots cool while you wait. The vet comes out to the car, chats casually about the plan (she played with my puppy while getting any info from me), then takes the pet into the building while you wait on the shaded parking spot. After the appointment is done, the vet brings your pet back to your vehicle, chats about the results, then the office assistant comes out with the invoice and payment device. To me, it all felt so smooth and professional, I wouldn't mind if they handled things this way even after the pandemic! They deserve a lot of credit for getting things working so well. If course, I miss being in the exam room with my buddy, but the vet really put me at ease, and honestly, he probably behaved better with just her in charge!

We have used this vets for the past 6 years for our 2 dogs. We have only ever received the best care. Apart from one visit where I felt like we were slightly "over prescribed" for a vomiting dog (but, perhaps it was better to be safe than sorry) I love that the veterinarians at Elk Lake really think about what the animal actually needs. My 2 fairly nervous dogs have never had any issues with the care received. Recommend wholeheartedly.

Dr Gage was very knowledgeable and professional, very kind at the same time. She quickly discovered what was wrong with our Samba and she gave us medication and instructions. It was all very clear. She also noticed that Samba might have some allergic reactions and so we put Samba on hypoallergenic diet. So far so good. She is feeling 99% better and even likes her new food. Thank you!

Wonderful experiences this past week with both Dr. Warnocks, first during a routine exam and vaccinations and secondly, two days later, in more of an emergent situation. Both vets and each tech we met really exuded care, concern, and professionalism. The care plan was discussed thoroughly with me before decisions were made, there were no surprises, and I felt like my dog’s best interest was of utmost priority at all times. We are grateful to have such fantastic vets.

Dr Randall and his wife are true humanitarians who care for there clients and there owners....they go above and beyond....They are truely angels ..My dog got very sick very suddenly and Dr Randell came to our house to see her...called me to let me know results very quickly..the following morning he called to see how her night was and with the information that we discussed he came to pick her up since i do not drive and took her to have emergency surgery...during the day he updated me on how she was doing , when she was going into surgery and after we talked about how she was doing and then he brought her back to the house...They always have time to spend with you in person or on the phone...you never get the feeling that it is a business but a calling that they have....About a month before this we had to have my sons cat put down very suddenly and they allowed him over two hours to make the decision without any pressure, answered all his questions, and when the time came to let her go there was compassion for our beloved family member and us...If you ever have any doubt about vets they will put that to rest immediately...I will never be able to thank them enough for all they have done for a furry family members and for us...They have become part of our extended family and we love them with all our hearts...Thanks you Drs Warnock.... You are truely wonderful human beings with devotion sympathy and compassion for what they do...It is not there jobs it is there callings.....And last you will never doubt that each animal that comes to them for care is always treated with respect love devotion and most of all love ...they are part of there family....GOD BLESS YOU BOTH

I cannot give this place enough compliments! Got my 2 years old male cat vaccined and neutered here. Unlike other places, the doctor here gave him two shots that could last for 3 years. It saved my money as well as the panic of my cat baby!! Also after the neutering surgery my boy recovered in less than two days without any problems or painful experience.
