Great value and staff. The vet is lovely, knowledgeable and a great communicator. In Toronto i was paying north of $350 for the same care i get here for $195. Unsure how long I’ll be in Victoria, but as long as I’m here this will be our vet!

Rick cohen in reality is not ready for vet sainthood.A 5 month old shitzu puppy was in emergency with heart monitor and oxygen due to going into shock after his first grooming appt. No evidence of electrical or poisoning access but limited response,limp and foaming at mouth.He was asked by a third party and He refused to see the pup as a consulting vet during his regular visit to Central Vic Hospital. The puppy was not his regular patient. Liam recovered but Rick's professional ethics and heart was compromised by his ego. That is who he is unless he benefits financially or publically.

We've been coming here with our cats since we moved to Victoria. The front desk staff are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Dr. Rick and Dr. Lisa are both so compassionate and understanding. They are always happy to answer all our questions (even if it's on the phone, days after our appointment), think of creative ways to help us afford treatments, and stay supportive and honest through the process. We're so appreciative for the care they give, especially through Covid times!

I was calling almost every vet clinic in town looking for my cat’s specific prescription food (flooded highways and covid have made this more difficult lately) and I left a voicemail with Admirals. They returned my call that day & left a voicemail saying they did not have stock/ explaining that all the vet clinics have the same supplier so it could take a while to order it in/ but they went the extra mile and called another animal hospital for me to enquire about stock there (and confirmed that they had it). Overall, this was greatly appreciated and among the best service I’ve received after calling over 12 vet clinics. I will definitely consider this clinic in the future for my cat. Thank you.

Dr. Rick Cohen is a knowledgable, thorough and compassionate professional. He always takes the time to explain what he is doing and is very gentle with our pets. We have three dogs with significant medical conditions. Skin issues, GI issues, severe arthritis, and neurological issues. Rick has managed all our dogs various issues with skill and has always been willing to go the extra mile. He will always refer to a specialist when necessary. Rick and his staff are top notch and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Rick has been our vet for our two dogs for a few years; he has been a tremendous help throughout any health issues that have arisen, and he genuinely cares about animals (not just in it for the money.) I can’t say that Chewy is super excited to come but the treats they have always entice him a little and Dr. Cohen is great with him.

An extremely kind and responsive approach to an aging dogs last days. The Vet was accessible by phone, gave important advice and was very kind as was all the staff. Putting down an old friend is very hard but if you have to do so having supports in place for compassion for your pup ..and you ... as well as knowing you are doing the right think back because you have the info you need is deeply important.
