I took my cat to see Dr. Sired regarding what I thought was a cyst that opened and wouldn't heal. My cat needed surgery as she actually had a basel cell tumor, and as she is a senior, I was scared for her to have surgery. Dr. Sired answered all of my questions, listened to all of my concerns and took them into consideration when coming up with a treatment plan. I felt reassured knowing that my cat was in good hands and I couldn't have asked for a better vet!

I have been taking my animals to Doctor Lee since we moved here in 2002. When Dr. Lee is not available I feel very comfortable with Dr. Sired (Dr. Jen). Never seeked out another vet as I have never felt the need. Best place in the North and highly recommend to anyone that is looking for compassion, discussion and the best care your animals could ever receive.

Dr. Lee took great care of our bunny who was not feeling her normal hungry self. Dr. Lee was very patient and thorough with his exam and took time to explain to me what he thinks is the cause of bunny's health issues. This clinic has exotic animal veterinarians (who would have thought our bunny was exotic) where most veterinary clinic only treat cats and dogs. Staff was very friendly. I'm very thankful I came to this clinic and will start bringing my dog here too. Bunny is back to her old hungry self. Thank you Dr. Lee for your expertise and kindness towards my bunny. Great vet, and very reasonable pricing. I took my Shih Tzu puppy in to deal with his ear infections. The vet took him to the back to clean, and groom the hair inside his ears. When the vet tech came back out with Chewie he had a huge smile on his face (despite the whole ear grooming thing).

Excellent service. I am pleased with Dr. Sired who deals with my cats and Dr. Lee who deals with my guinea pigs. They are attentive, gentle with the animals and explain things well. If Dr. Sired says she will get back to you with some information she WILL get back to you. One of my cats tends to make googly "love eyes" at her. Dr. Lee was very gentle with my guinea pigs. It was endearing/funny to hear him talk to them. The receptionist Kim is also very nice and efficient. I also appreciate that they take part in the program with the Edmonton Humane society where am adopted pet's first visit is free. Besides participating in that program they have been generous to me twice.

Only vet we found around our area that provides service to rabbits. It's an on older clinic but staff are very friendly and helpful. Edit: Paid techs to cut my animal's nails. Both dew claws missed. A little annoyed since I paid for a service that was only partially completed.

We had to take our energetic Boxer "Hudson" to the vet for his annual vaccines. We were looking for a vet who would treat our four legged family member as a life rather than a commodity. Dr. Lee spent his first 20 minutes with Hudson, petting, playing and familiarizing himself with him. What surprised me the most was, that Dr. Lee didn't have to ask me to restrain or distract Hudson while he administered the injections. He was very gentle and seemed to genuinely care about how our dog was feeling. He acted like he had nothing better to do that to get to know him. Additionally, he provided great advice on certain aids that would help us train Hudson without adding in the cliche "if you purchase this product from our office..." We will go to this office for the rest of our time here in Edmonton.

I have been seeing Dr. Lee here for about 6 years now... LOVE him to pieces! He takes his time with the animals and will even sit down and explain medical conditions to you. Lately my guys have been having health issues and I have had to call once or twice to ask questions about a medication. Dr. Lee himself always called back within the hour... even when the assistants said he wasn't in! Which impressed me to the extreme! His prices are also the best in the city from what I could find and I hear he does payment plans as well. I wouldn't suggest any other vet in the city.

The location is very important as it by a bus stop and it is very lose to 97street and castle down road. Staff are friendly especially the maintance ladies. Always clean. I do not live there but my friend does. The cost of rent is very reasonable compared to the market rate.

Dr. Sired and Dr. Lee are so awesome! I’ll take my animals to either of them. One of my dogs has recently had a lot of issues, she had to have her eye removed and has issues with her heart, Dr. Sired took such wonderful care of her. Both my dogs are very old so I’m quite paranoid whenever I find a lump or bump on them or anything. She is always so patient and understanding that I’m so paranoid whenever I find something new with them, even when it ends up being something minor.

They were so professional and understanding. They went out of their way to make ink paw prints which turned out beautifully. And they even included a fur clipping. These guys are amazing!!! Very impressed with Dr.Lee and the staff at Castledowns Animal Hospital. My husband and I recently moved to Edmonton from BC and I did extensive research on the vets around town because I was very close with our Vet back in BC and I have exotic animals. I took one of my rabbits in for teeth trimming and a wellness check and he went above and beyond any vet I have ever been to in the past. He talked me through every single detail and addressed my concerns in such a calm, professional, and friendly matter. He was extremely gentle with my rabbit and showed genuine compassion for him and myself. The front desk staff and vet assistants are also very friendly and informative, I felt very welcome in an unfamiliar environment. 100% recommend Castledowns Animal Hospital!

We brought our small dog to see the vet twice. One due to vomiting and diarrhea and another as a follow-up for an ear infection. Dr. Rasmussen and Dr. Neville checked on our small dog these two separate times. Both were very friendly and accommodating, took time to explain step by step what we have to do at home and patiently answered all our questions. Their charge was reasonable. Follow-up was free of charge. The vets and their staff are all friendly and welcoming. All in all our experience with them is very good and we highly recommend them!

I love everything about this place. I got my first pet as an adult, a young cat named Moscato. I knew she needed to get checked over, spayed, given immunizations and I found this place. They have been nothing short of professional and efficient and caring to my cat! My cat always comes back home relaxed and the people working here were even so nice to send us a welcome card in the mail! I plan to always take my pets here so long as I live in or near Edmonton!

With the exception of one year, my dog has received all of her yearly checks here for the past 7 years. During her check up in late June, we decided to have a small lump removed on the side of her face. I arrived in the morning by 8 am as instructed, to drop off my dog for the procedure .......staff didn't arrive until 8:15. No apologies by the front desk staff they just ignored their own tardiness. I was annoyed. Six weeks later, I realized I had made a mistake not getting my dogs bordetella vaccine, when I called to enquire I was told it would be another $110. I thought this was excessive considering I have spent over $600 there in the last two months so I called back and asked if they would waive the exam fee. The front staff I talked to never bothered to get back to me. The front staff is your welcome mat, if they aren't welcoming and doing their job then customers will be unhappy. I am very dissappointed with the service I have received this summer, enough so that I will consider looking for a different veterinarian next spring when her shots are due.

I've took my pitbull there since 2009 when she was a pup and had no problems. But last summer we took her in for an ear infection and the vet gave us drops witch ended up making my dog deaf and they would do anything except say we're sorry. The old vets who use to work here were good I can't say the same about the new ones. I wouldt take my dog back here

Dr. Sired and Dr. Lee are amazing. They are very knowledgeable and caring. I recently had a check up with Dr. Lee for my cat; he provided me with helpful information to ease my concerns and was very gentle. He informed me before doing every part of the check up on my cat and let her stay in the carrier so she was comfortable. Prior to this recent visit, Dr. Sired is my regular doctor and she is just as great as Dr. Lee. I wouldn't take my cat anywhere else.

While the vets here are amazing. If your pet requires surgery, the prices are outrageous here. For a FHO procedure castledowns vet quoted me at 2500 dollars, I called around and ensured to do thorough research and not just take my cat to the cheapest vet. I was able to find Tri-Municipal Veterinary Clinic in Sprucegrove. The vet there was amazing the service was beyond what I could hope for. AND TO TOP IT OFF THE PRICE FOR THE PROCEDURE WAS LESS THAN HALF OF CASTLEDOWNS VET (1100). Def give them a call if your pet needs surgery!

Highly recommend. My guinea pig got a big lump at her abdomen. Another vet said not much they can do; suggested euthanasia, or use pain killer for life. My friend introduce me to visit Castledowns Animal Hospital. Dr. Rasmussen did abscess lance & drain at our first visit yesterday. I do not know will my pig be recovered, but at least she moves and feel much better for now. We love our pets, why give up easily? Also, the charge is very reasonable.

I took one of the golden retriever at my care to this location on emergency visit. The clinic was fully booked for the day but after discuss the symptoms with the nurse. Dr. Neville instructed me to visit the clinic immediately. After carefully examination, Dr. Neville discovered multiple issues with Ane Ane (Golden retriver) and have to make recommendation to put her down due to her conditions and age (14 years old). It was very emotional and difficult situation since the owner still in Australia and will not be back in time. Dr. Neville discussed the possible outcomes with the owner on the phone and provided all the supporting documents to aid the owner to make the difficult decision to Ane Ane's best interest. All the staffs displayed love, compassionate, and understanding throughout the process. Knowing that Ane Ane is not just another dog but part of the family and also friends to many others. I witnessed the professionalism and unconditional love to the distress animal from Dr Neville and her staffs during one of the most difficult moment in my life. Ane Ane no longer suffer and she is at a better place now. I will recommend anyone who take their pet seriously to visit here knowing that they offer top notch quality service that I don't see anywhere else. Thank you again for everything you did for us.

There are very few vets in Edmonton that deal with exotic animals and reptiles. The one that we normally go to was on vacation, and I felt that we needed to see someone about my leopard gecko right away. Dr. Lee was amazing. He spent an hour with me and went over everything so thoroughly. I was so impressed with his exam and his thorough questioning about her enclosure & care. I was so impressed! My family and I want to say God bless to everyone who serve at the hospital for the miraculous work done for Luna. 4 months ago Luna was unfortunately involved in a hit-and-run. We were told that Luna’s right front leg had to be amputated by 3 different hospitals/clinics. Long story short, Dr.Sired ensured us that the leg would be saved. I really appreciate how Luna was lovingly treated and how Dr. Sired ensured successful progression after every treatment. I appreciate how everyone has always treated my family with the utmost love and respect, we appreciate all of the warm and welcoming smiles. Now our Luna is doing excellent, she is using her leg more and more each day. She can go up and down the stairs all by herself. It’s truly amazing thinking back to the beginning of Luna’s recovery process. Dr. Sired promised us that Luna would be able to walk at the end of this. We trusted Dr. Sired, and have seen that what was promised came to be. Once again thank you and May God bless each and everyone from the hospital.

I always feel comfortable going there because I know our pets will be looked after . Dr. Lee is amazing he never rush your appointment. He is always very thorough about everything. He takes the time to explain everything and answer all my question and trust me I asked a lot of question .I can honestly tell he enjoy what he does. He connects with the animals and the owners . He's very upfront and will not reccomend procedures that are not necessary . Today our standard poodle went in for surgery to remove a perianal tumor adenoma . Not only that we did got superb service but he even removed 3 growth and didn't charge us extra for removing them . Our standard poodle was well looked after today as well . Castlediown Animal Clinic is one of the best in our city . Their honesty , integrity are never in question . Excellent clinic through and through . The staff are amazing , very knowledgable, friendly and very accommodating. Thank you for being the best .
