Because of the close location I have brought my dogs there a few times and everytime it was a HUGE waste of money and I got NO answers. It could be this or this, it could be that or that, come back in a few days. Brought to my other vet and instant diagnoses and he was booked in for surgery. Brought my dog in just past the 24hour labour mark and was told to either go home or bring her to emerg. She did a check and couldn't tell if she was going to deliver soon. Good thing I live a minute or two away because after 5 minutes prior to feeling my dog and saying do whatever my dog gave birth. Had I took her to emerg she would have delivered her babies in the back of the truck.

Dr Cecilia Dobrescu is hands down the BEST vet there is. She is amazing and kind, my dog loves her. The staff are all amazing and so sweet. On top of being super amazing, the Christmas spirit is still alive this wonderful woman helped me at a time of need. No need to get into specifics however it’s nice to know there are still some incredible beings left in the world. I can not stress enough how much I appreciate her. My last visit was great! Vet was great. I usually come here although its far from me. I only wish they were a little bit more accomodating. I came here a few weeks ago and tried to drop in without an appt as it was on my way but i was willing to wait. I was trying to multitask as i have a hectic day. I was on my phone because i have to take the call from my insurance. I didnt like the tone of the old receptionist who greeted me. She said she was too busy that day and if Im done with my phone she would book me an appointment. If it is an emergency she would see me and wants me to book back instead. My son was with me and I was hoping she would talk to my son so we can schedule the appointment. The call ended up longer than i was hoping for so we ended up not scheduling an appointment and just left. My husband was urging me to book my dog closer to my home. I'm glad I did not because of the vet we saw recently. A receptionist could make or break your business. So choose them wisely. When dealing with clients you should know how to watch your tone. Be a little accomodating. A smile in your face could make a difference.

We have been taking our three animals here for a few years now and are so pleased with the care and professional treatment we receive. Most recently our pups got into a pound of butter and as one of our dogs has pancreatitis this worried us quite a bit. Dr. Cecilia without hesitation told us to come in, even though they were close to closing. When we got there everything was ready and thankfully our pups are both ok :) The staff really care about your animals and it shows. Thanks to the Albany staff and Dr. Cecilia for being so kind and treating our animals the way we wish all vets would !

Staff are incredibly welcoming and I've been bringing my kitten here since the day I adopted him. Currently he's going through "feline adolescents" as I like to call it and was having a difficult time with his most recent visit but the techs did an amazing job to get his nails trimmed. Dr. Cecilia is such a wonderful veterinary who is patient, caring, compassionate and needless to say GREAT at what she does that we are extremely happy and relieved that we have found her! When we brought in our sick aging dog, he was scared and exhausted from the digestive issues he has been battling. Dr. Cecilia took her time asking us a series of questions narrowing down the possibilities of the causes. She then recommended the next-step which pinpoints exactly the sauce of the problem, upon which Dr. Cecilia offered different options of treatment plan. Her professional service is exceptional, her rate is reasonable, her heart is KIND and we can definitely tell that Dr. Cecilia cares about the well-being of our dog. She is like a veterinary who is also a dog whisperer. Did I mention that Dr. Cecilia managed to feed our sick old puppy some low-fat dietary dog food upon knowing he hasn't had any appetite for a few days? And our dog ate it! I don't know any doctor who would take their time to perform such kind acts when their clinic is busy packed with appointments. She even stayed beyond her operation hours for us so that we understand what to do to take care of our dog at home. I highly recommend Dr. Cecilia and we are definitely switching our default vet clinic to Albany Veterinary Clinic under Dr. Cecilia's care!!!! Thank you Dr. Cecilia for your healing hands and kind heart. Your team of staff members as well :)

I Just would like to take a minute to thank everyone at Albany vet clinic ,They took the time to check out our dog chub chub unfortunately she was very sick and we could not afford to get the big test done on our precious dog to find out what was really wrong with her but suspected it was cancer as she went down hill very quickly on February 5th 2019 we had to euthanize her,Albany was very nice to give us her paw prints and a very nice card we thank you very much ,Also Albany uses a very very good Memorial place part of the Family memorial services this place is the greatest Albany transferred her over there and we called Part of the family on feb/7/2019 They had not cremated her yet so we where able to go there spend another hour with our chub and watch cremation bring our chub home 2.5 Hours later , this all was a great experience in a very dark few days for us so thank you all at Albany clinic,The Ursel Family

They were there for us in our time of need when our regular clinic let us down in a big way. They helped put our sweet cat to sleep when she was sick. Last week, during this pandemic, they made time to give my dog worm meds and they were fantastic. This is now our usual clinic and we love the service so much.

Dr. Cecilia is fantastic and has been very accommodating, even in these difficult and unusual times, and has saved us from the Emergency Vet more than once. We have been going to her for 9? years and we like the relationship we built and the stability of having the same vet at the clinic. She has been wonderful with our dogs and we hope to not see her too frequently, but are also glad she and the Albany team are there to care for our beloved fur babies when we do go in.

I'm so grateful to the staff for seeing my cat today. I called 5 clinics trying to get my cat in as I suspected she had a UTI. Every clinic I called was booked and couldn't take me, however when I called Albany, even though they too were fully booked today, Dr. Dobrescu spoke with me on the phone and told me if I was ok to drop my cat off and leave her there for a couple of hours she would take a look at her between her appointments. No other clinic I called today offered this type of customer service. I am so appreciative, I will definitely continue going there and highly recommend them.

I was a bit taken aback by the price for a dental estimate but the quality of work and communication regarding the surprises in my cat's mouth made up for it. The final cost was lower than the low end estimate and my cat was well cared for during her time there. They provided photos of before and after both printed and emailed. I have 4 pets I'm sure I'll be back. UPDATE I did go back a couple times but the last time was with my cat as she seemed unlike herself. The Dr missed arthritis in the her xray and did not tell me her blood tests were of concern but sent us home with meds and food for crystals. She declined over the next week and I took her for a second opinion elsewhere. I will NOT be back. My cat nearly died when we could have started diagnosis earlier.

When we arrived for our very first appointment with our new puppy, the receptionist was kind and patient with her. Dr. Cecilia was great, our pup took to her right away. Now for the last month i have been taking my dog Ty that is 13 years old to the albany veterinary clinic. She is the most amazing vet i have had the privilege to deal with she has been working with Ty he blew both his ACL's in his knees 2 weeks apart. I was looking at $8000.00 in surgery I had no choice but to talk about options it was the worst day I have had in a long time she talked me out of that very quickly. So acupuncture and cold lazer therapy has him walk again his left leg is the worst of the two because the pattella is just moving freely because the tendon is gone. So we will be looking at a brace for his left leg. He is doing so well that she is doing a case study on him to show that there are other treatments. So if any one needs a vet look up Albany Veterinary Clinic and Cecilia will take care of all you pet needs she is amazing.

Dr. Celia is amazing! I have 4 cats and can always trust that they are in good hands at this clinic. All staff are always pleasant, compassionate and knowledgable. One assistant even came to say goodbye to my cat when I picked her up after a procedure, she wasn't even working with my cat but hung out and talked with her while she was recovering. They treat your pets like family !! When I had to unfortunately put one of my pets down a couple of years ago they made house calls before hand and euthanized him in our home so he was more comfortable ! Amazing clinic !

There is literally nothing bad to say about this clinic! I started seeing Dr. Cecilia a couple years ago when my dog Nahla started having seizures. Recently Nahla became sick quite quickly and we went through a difficult week of trying to help my fur baby get well. Dr. Cecilia was amazing, she did all the appropriate testing and guided us through the week with general concern. Unfortunately my Nahla did not make it. I phoned the doctor on a Saturday night and she opened her clinic to help me and my family in such a crucial time. I will never forget that. We’ve been with Dr Cecilia at the albany clinic for a few months now and we are very happy with the services! The clinic staff and Dr Cecilia always make sure our visits are smooth and all of our concerns are being addressed! We brought our 6 months old pug/boston terrier puppy, for a neutering/cherry eye removal procedure last month and had a great experience. Our pup does not stay in the kennel and we are not comfortable with him in a kennel so we wanted to be with him after the procedure. Dr Cecilia gave us a room to stay with our pup for hours while he was recovering and made sure we are all comfortable. The surgery went great and we are very thankful to the clinic for everything they have done for us! We always recommend them to all of our friends and family!

I’d like to take a moment and praise Dr. Cecilia and all her amazing staff! I fell upon this clinic when my nieces cat passed away and needed to find a close by clinic that would do cremation.. Fast forward within the year I have now switched all my pets over to this clinic! Back in December they helped my 10 year old Pitbull and removed a mastic tumour. Cost wasn’t horrific and they took such amazing care of her. Most recently I brought my 20 year old cat in to see if we could do something to help her stay with me a little longer because I was not ready to say goodbye, but unfortunately she took a turn for the worse in the next week... On Monday May 31st 2021 I showed up with out an appointment holding my girl who was very much struggling and was taken in right away! Dr. Cecilia and all her staff were very sympathetic and took very good care of Tobey and I while I said my final goodbyes. Today I got to go and pick up her ashes and I received a card personally signed by all staff! Tobey would have been 21 yesterday and I am so grateful for the time I had with her, but I am also so very grateful that they all made this experience bearable for me! Thank you all for being you and for actually caring about the animals and their people!

Came here because we live close by. So far, so good. Our cat had a knee surgery. After she had some complications, and needed a second surgery they did what they could to keep it as cheap as possible. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.

After several years of having pets and different dogs we have had our share of dealing with different vet clinics. Doctor Cecilia and her staff came highly recommended by several of my own clients which is what brought us to the Albany Vet Clinic. Everyone at the clinic has been extremely helpful/knowledgeable and most importantly very compassionate. During some very hard days of dealing with our sick puppy Maxx over the past 4 years, the staff and Dr. Cecilia always went out of their way to help us and did everything they could to help us along the way looking after our sick dog and eventually through our grieving process. Friendly staff with exceptional courtesy to you and your pet. They actually understand that a pet is more then just an animal and they give them the treatment as if it was a family member seeing a doctor. Took our puppy here, vet suggested to get a urinary test in house and said they are inconclusive and that we would need to pay again for the test to be sent out. The vet also does not ask important questions to see what is wrong with your pet or give helpful solutions to see what is wrong with your animal. Would not recommend coming here.

Feeling as though the Veteranarian and staff love your animal as much as you do and knowing that they are going to do everything in their power for your furry loved ones, this is something that is hard to find now a days. At Albany Veteranarian Clinic, you will find this and so much more. Dr Cecilia Dobrescu is the most compassionate, honest and hard working vet you could ask for. Dr Cecilia and her staff were there for us anytime day or night and weekends. After having a terrible experience with another vet we decided to give Albany a try and we were so grateful for what she did. Not only did she quickly diagnose our cat but was there for our cat while we tried to find the right solution for his urinary blockage. After perfectly diagnosing him and deciding on a plan of action she gracefully sent us to guardian animal hospital. Although she was capable of doing the surgery she wanted him where she knew he would be better looked after around the clock. After 2 weeks and multiple catheters we finally have our beautiful boy home and he is doing great. It is such a peace of mind knowing that she is there to answer any questions we have and for magnificent aftercare. We could not have gotten through this tough time without Dr Cecilia, her wonderful staff and her kind husband. We are eternally grateful for Dr Cecilia.

Frustrating that every time I call it’s a lot work to find my dogs file. I had a go nowhere chat with a woman sometime ago who explained that there can only be one primary owner. Checking my certification of vaccines I see I am not on that either. It’s a new age folks! Not all people have the same last name. You need to get with the times then maybe there would be less frustration. I’m glad I noticed the certificate of vaccines did not have my name eitherCan’t imagine trying to cross the border into the USA with our dog by myself with nothing relating me to our dog. Frustrating to say the least. We will find a more progressive place

I even got to help out one time when staffing was low. So she needed my help wrangling my pooch. (Think that would’ve been worth a discount ????). Honestly though, very happy with my experience

If I could give them 10 stars, I would...I've been taking my pups there forever n when I recently lost my pommie, who had died in my arms that morning, Dr. Celia was right there for me. She came to me to pick him up since I couldn't possibly drive..the techs n reception called thru out the day to check on me...they arranged for his cremation...they helped me work out my bill payment...they were and ARE completely phenomenal. I'll never bring my babies anywhere but there. Thank you for helping me thru the nightmare of losing my Meeco...

Even though I have moved to a different part of the city, I still prefer to bring my cats to Dr. Cecilia. I feel like Dr. Cecilia cares about the wellbeing of my babies and makes that her priority. She always has the best interests of the animals she cares for at heart and it shows with the way she treats them. Her and the staff are also very good with people too. ;)

I really loved this clinic at first and had a good experience with my dog here, they even had us referred to a fear free clinic for him. We took our new kitten in for her first round of shots and an exam, I noticed the next day that she was scratching her ears a lot and looked in them and they were completely black. The clinic was closed so I did one of the book an appointment forms online and stated my concern on ear mites. No one got back to me. My dog had an appointment with his new vet a few days later and I spoke to her about our kittens ear and she told me it was almost certain to be ear mites. I called Albany and I couldn’t get her in for 5 days. I found another clinic that could take her in right away. The sample they took had thousands of ear mites. I felt really sad for her cause this should have been caught when she had her initial exam. I was charged an exam fee and there was no way for her ears to get that bad over night. I called the clinic the next day to let them know about her having ear mites and was even told that it should have been caught when she had her exam and someone would call me back, the receptionist was super nice and took down my number but no one called me back, this is a good clinic but I felt like my concern wasn’t taken seriously

Came here from Delton Vet (ugh, money hungry and long response time) after a friend highly highly highly recommended Dr. Cecilla, and it was the best! She was so hands on with everything!! My dogs were really cared for. It was my first time but I could tell from the other customers coming in, she knows them and remembers their pet names (even when their pet was not with them). Not to mention, less expensive. So my dogs were going to a boarding kennel... I asked Delton if vaccinations are updated. Stupid Delton, said yes. We got sent away by the kennel because it actually wasn't!! Had no time, leaving for ON the next morning! Went to Albany and explained the situation, they squeezed us in without an appointment. We could not thank her enough. And we could not hate Delton enough.
