We have an 18 year old cat who requires regular medication. My daughter, who regularly took care of this, recently passed away. The vet was very patient in teaching her son how to administer the cat's medication. Everyone at Sunshine Hills Vet has been very kind and patient with us at this difficult time.

I took my cat here, because of a Urinary blockage. I was desperate, my poor cat was suffering. Did they fix my cat?.. Yes. Will I go back? Absolutely not. I feel I got taken advantage of. I relocated to the lower mainland recently, and am still unemployed. I told them I’m really strapped for money right now, I’m not looking for a free ride, but they billed me for so many things that weren’t necessary. I’m surprised they didn’t bill me for the gum they were chewing during the procedure. I have gotten this procedure done twice before, and was never charged over $300. My bill at Sunshine Hills? .. $764.87. I literally cried. I feel like this Vet is a con artist, preying on people's weaknesses [their sick animal] I feel disgusted I let someone do this to me. So, if you have lots of money to give away. Sunshine hills just might be the place for you. But if you can, shop around, and don’t let this vet take advantage of you too. 2 stars only because the DID fix my cat.

Dr Nelson has been my vet of choice since 2003. The clinic is a little more pricey then others but I believe you get excellent care for your dollar. I wouldn't take my Chico anywhere else! I have also had medical care there for 2 cats in the past who became terminally ill after living long happy lives. Dr. Nelson cared for them with compassion and helped them cross the rainbow bridge. My new cat Hunter will also be cared by them. ❤️❤️

My 78 year old mother who has mobility issues brought her cats here for years. Three days ago one of the cats (aged 17) was not doing well at all. Your clinic, despite repeated pleas from my mother, would not book this poor cat in for an appointment for another two days. An appointment was made at a different vet clinic where the doctor made the diagnosis that this cat was in a lot of pain and had multiple medical things wrong. Unfortunately she needed to be put to sleep. Your clinic showed no compassion for a suffering animal who has been a long time patient. I am thoroughly appalled and disgusted.

This veterinarian does not even deserve 1 star. Our dog that was nearly 16 years old had a recent medical issue and we were looking at euthanasia option. Our pet could not walk, eat, drink or get up yet the vet showed no compassion for our pets condition. I will no longer trust any of my pets care in the hands of this vet. Someone that is there to help our animals when in need failed miserably. We called today Dec 2 2021 at 10am to see what we needed to do to make arrangements for our pet. We were shocked surprised saddened and disgusted when we were told the only time we could bring our pet in for euthanasia would be 8 days from today....December 10. This vet showed no compassion or care for our pet. There was no way we could put our pet through 8 days with no quality of life and likely not even being able to last another day never mind 8.....we were not going to allow our pet to suffer. I strongly caution everyone looking for pet care to really think what you want for your pets care in time of need. I will no way use this veterinarian ever again. Truly sad.
