Dr. Chong shows wonderful love and compassion for all the animals in her care. Our 5 (yes, FIVE) dogs loved her and greeted her with wagged tails. When it came time to putting our golden retriever, Maya, to sleep, she was a welcome and trusted friend, and stayed with us until we were ready to leave. I was a weepy mess, but she never hurried us or left our sides. She was saying goodbye to Maya too, in her own way. I will be forever grateful to her and her office staff. Been going to Camarillo Veterinarian for a long time. 2 and a half dog lives later I am still bringing my furry buddy's there. My 3rd dog is currently the half dog. Only been going for a couple years now. She is fairly young and she is a rescue from Camarillo Animal Shelter so she has some quirks. She still gets the best treatment and she is never scared to go for her checkups. Thank you to the staff. You are all great!

Dr. Chong helped me with my 18 year old outdoor cat twords the end of her life so she could be comfortable the last few months(indoors). Unfortunately there isn't too much you can do for a cat that can't take pills or liquid, well there is but unfortunately the lovely DEA is now watching veterinary medicine as well. I was a head surgical veterinary tech for many years both private practice and emergency. The only one I can remember that was more fair was a Dr Frank Klimitas in New Orleans 18years ago, but he is retired. I often get asked by friends and family where to go and she is by far the most practical, honest and caring I have seen in many years. But if you are a snobby pet owner please go somewhere else!

My male Pomeranian Biggie started to have bloody diarrhea and some vomiting. We were really worried about him with the amount of blood we saw him losing and thought he might have to be held overnight or longer at a hospital because we weren't sure what was going on with him. He wasn't drinking water or touching his food for over 48 hours. Dr. Chong and staff were wonderful in getting us an appointment right away. She didn't perform or request any unnecessary expensive testing and treated him with compassion and care. In the end, we spent close to $300 which was pretty reasonable for: blood test, office visit, anti-nausea shot, and antibiotic. We were also able to take Biggie home after the appointment which was a relief. Biggie recovered and we are very thankful for Camarillo Vet Hospital for their 5 star services. Biggie's blood test came back negative and we found out the problem was Nutro Wholesome Essentials (Small Breed -Adult- Chicken, Brown Rice and Sweet Potato) that was making our dog violently ill. I highly recommend Dr. Chong and will continue to take my pets to her. Please beware of Nutro Dog Food. Research and protect your pet. Nutro has many (recent) consumer complaints about their food making dogs sick. @biggietheblackpomeranian on Instagram

Dr.Chong is kind, knowledgeable, and her love for animals really shines through. She takes her time in explaining, and goes above and beyond for your little one (I once got a call from her on Sunday, regarding my dogs condition, saying she wanted to deliver the news as soon as she ran the tests, and didn’t want me to wait all weekend). My dog Coco went to her on his last years of life and on his first visit, he was apprehensive, but instead of being forced to bring him in, Dr. Chong came outside, and sat down with him on the floor and played with him until he was at ease. Since that moment, every visit we had, Coco would walk in without hesitation. This was very shocking as it was never the case with his two previous vets, in the 15 years we had him. My only regret is that we didn’t find Dr. Chong sooner. We now have a new puppy; Enzo, and his new Doctor is of course, Dr. Chong! ????

Took a chance with Dr. Chong because I didn't have a regular vet. The next available appt. was the following day. After explaining what the symptoms my pet had I was squeezed in at the end of the day. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Dr. Chong is one of a kind. She is truly an "animal whisperer" because she has a calming effect on the animals and they respond to her in a positive way. She is compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. She treats both the pet and the owner putting the owner at ease, takes her time and answers all of your questions and addresses all of your concerns, and you leave with a feeling that everything will be okay. She is a wonderful person and was born to be a vet. She's the best vet I've encountered having pets for over 30 years.

Just started with Dr. Chong after my beloved cat Gigi was discharged from the hospital with chronic kidney disease and a host of other problems. The good doctor sat on the floor to be closer to Gigi and cradled her, a very touching gesture I've not seen from other vets. My Gigi enjoyed and returned the affection. Dr. Chong is a godsend, wish I had known her long ago for all my beloved late furbabies.

I’ve been taking my 4-legged children to Camarillo Veternarian Hospital to see Dr Chong for almost 5 years. One of my dogs is a service dog and has severe skin issues, in December 2020 he got very sick neurologically (maybe stroke) Dr Chong was so involved trying to get him better, even calling me every few days. Sadly January 27, 2021 he passed. He really loved Dr Chong too, he would get excited when he saw us turn in towards her business. Dr Chong and her staff are always friendly, helpful and professional. Dr Chong is a wonderful Veternarian, her unique approach of sitting on the floor with her patient and getting to know them before the exam reduces any anxieties the dogs may have. She is very thorough, knowledgeable, caring and empathetic. Her true love for animals shows in her work.

Dr Chong is the most compassionate Vet we have ever been to. Because of our dog's anxiety to go into the vet, she treated our St Bernard in the back of our Yukon. She brought all her equipment to the car and sat in the back with our sweet dog. She called the next day (Sunday) with the test results and unfortunately, as we pretty much knew, she would have to be put down. But instead of us having to wait until Monday, she said to bring her down then (Sunday) and she would take care of it, so she wouldn't suffer any longer. Again, she sat in the back of our Yukon with us and took care of what needed to be done. She explained everything in detail and we could tell she felt as bad as we did. She kissed our sweet dog on the head and spoke so kindly to her - as if it were her own dog. She gave us the all time we needed to say our goodbyes. We were so grateful for her compassion and how humanely our Hilde was treated and taken care of. She even shaved some of her hair off and put it in a couple of small draw string bags for us to keep. We will be forever grateful to her and her staff .

My dog was bit at a dog park and bleeding from his mouth, I called right away and they were able to see me even though it was almost closing time. Dr. Chong was very sweet and stayed late to get him stitched up. The next morning Loki accidentally ripped his stitches so I called and again they saw me right away to get it fixed. Very friendly and helpful staff and I’m very grateful they took such good care of my Loki!

Dr Chong is the best. She is very caring and takes the time to really examine your pet and talk to the owner. She does the entire exam sitting on the floor because our dog doesn't do well on the metal exam table. I would recommend her highly. She also has Saturday hours which is a big plus.

I took my 14 year old cat Simon in because he just wasn't his usual self, knowing he is getting older, I was concerned that he may have developed Feline Diabetes, and in fact he had. Dr Chong did not make me feel guilty or make me feel like it was my fault. Sometimes this happens. We started insulin, but then on a Saturday Simon took a huge turn for the worse. I called Dr. Chong's office knowing I was going to get an answering machine with names of 24/7 vet hospitals. Fully expecting to have to face that Simon may have to be put to sleep. (It was awful and super scary, I won't go into details). Come to find out, Camarillo Vet Hospital is open on Sat. I had no idea. I called and started sobbing inconsolably, and Dr. Chong told me to bring Simon and that they would wait for me. When I arrived and Dr. Song saw me, she stopped and said, "Oh honey! Are you ok?" and just hugged me. I was so grateful. Fortunately Simon is doing well, and together we have plan of action for Simon. Dr. Chong truly partners with you and does not push or try to up-sell or use scare tactics to get more money. The prices are more reasonable than I could have ever expected. I live in Santa Paula and happily will drive to Camarillo for Dr. Chong to care for my pets. Even my cat Simon likes her. Which is nothing to sneeze at.

After talking to her I felt like she really cared about Buddy and his quality of life. Her staff was professional and prompt with everything, which made the whole experience much easier.
