I have been to 5 different vet offices and this is absolutely the best. The office is nice and clean. Staff are very friendly. Doctor Dawson is extremely responsible and he really cares about the animals (I can tell some vets don't care much indeed after seeing a few of them). One of my cats had constant diarrhea. I was worried and got medication from Dr. Dawson. His staff followed up to see if I had concerns. After knowing my concerns Dr. Dawson contacted me a few time to find more details and get updates from me until my cat recovered. I was very thankful to have a vet who cares about clients' animals as his own. I wouldn't say this is the cheapest vet office but the quality and service are worth what you pay.

I brought my cat here after reading favorable reviews on Google. I was ushered into the examination room immediately upon my arrival, and was seen by Dr. Dawson within minutes. I ended up getting some bad news, but Dr. Dawson was kind, realistic, and empathetic. He gave me options and outlined the cost of each so I could make an informed decision. I would highly recommend the entire establishment.

Terrible. That's all I can say. I gave it a try because I live here. The doctors medicine made my puppy sick. They gave me wrong information. I was declined help because apparently they didn't have the 'charts and information' and they aren't able to complete something that many other hospitals were able and willing to do. When I tried to come in for a simple bandage change, that I called and informed the receptionist which said it was 'okay!' I went to my scheduled appointment early and when it was time they took my puppy in and 5 mins later told me to not come back anymore because they've told me and the other amazing hospital (Mississauga Oakville Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital) many time that they haven't received the charts and whatnot. After the Mississauga Oakville Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital sent the information 3 times prior. I would only recommend this Hospital to people who hate there pet. There is nothing that could change my mind. All I have to say is if your pet is in serious pain or it's an emergency and you aren't sure where to go I'd highly recommend the Mississauga Oakville Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital. They 100% take care of all their patients no matter how severe the problem. The wait is long of course but it's because they take care of each and every precious pet that comes in. That's all I have to say.

Over the last almost 20 years, Dr Dawson has treated our 5 dogs, and my daughter’s dog and cats. He is thorough, but doesn’t recommend things that aren’t absolutely necessary. He is compassionate, responsive, and always follows up to see how his patients are doing. And his staff like Kerri are wonderful. I wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else!

Dr. Ross Dawson and staff are the greatest!! We have two dogs received due to a change of life experience, and Dr. Ross was their primary Vet. Even though there is a Vet location 5 minutes from us, we gladly make the road trip from Brampton. Appointments are always on time (always get in earlier than scheduled), everyone's friendly, personable and pay close attention to detail. The hot dog treats (I actually make them for my fur babies also) actually assist as a de-stresser and make appointments a pleasure. The Animal Hospital of Milton is worth the drive from any location!!!

When choosing a vet for your furry family member, you are trusting their health to someone who must be able to diagnose and react quickly without the ability to communicate with the patient. This means you must TRUST in that person to make the right calls and that’s harder when your not the patient or have had a bad experience with a clinic in the past. Without an ounce of doubt I would recommend Dr. Ross and his team to guide you through your pets lifespan and know that they will care deeply and be honest and transparent with you about necessary treatments and procedures along the way. I’ve never been “upsold” services or felt that my timid pup has tested their patience in the past ten years of care. Anytime we’ve needed their services outside of standard checkups, we’ve been grateful to hear from someone that evening or the next day asking how she’s doing. They put their patients well being above all else and it shows in the small gestures that are not necessary, but go a long way when youre concerned or anxious about your furry friends well-being. They have been the Best choice weve made since we became pet owners and I know they will be there for her until the end.

My cat has been quite ill.The staff at the Animal Hospital of Milton have been fantastic. The vet is kind and understanding. Even though I did not have an appointment Ross examined my cat and provided treatment. The clinic is open later and on Saturday which is very good since I work in Mississauga. I told the vet I needed to look at my finances/research before buying meds. When I called back, they said I needed to pay for a WHOLE OTHER 100$ APPOINTMENT. I said I just needed to purchase the meds, my dog had already been looked over. The receptionist was rude and said I must pay the $100 before accessing the name of the meds. Refused to even remind me what the name of the meds were. Really felt scammed.

WOULD NEVER TAKE MY PUPPY HERE AGAIN! 1) Overpriced 2) Service is mediokre - I found the vet to be uncompassionate and short 3) Charge you for things they haven't even done yet I never do reviews but i made the time to do this one! I felt like it was necessary... I took my puppy in for the first time to get his 16 week booster shots. They required a $95 deposit to secure a spot to see the vet and they said it would deducted from the invoice. It was not, the vet pocketed the 95 dollars for a 5 min conversation and he didn't even come out to say hello. They also charged me for a stool sample that they were going to collect in six weeks time... which is unheard of at the previous vets i have been to. #neveragain

The person who took my call was extremely helpful and sounded genuinely concerned/interested in my pets situation. They gave me as much info as they could over the phone, and then offered me a time slot to bring my cat in that same day. They even called me back later that morning to let me know someone had cancelled and offered me their earlier slot, if I wanted it. They require payment for the first appointment upfront because they've had issues with people booking and then no-showing throughout the pandemic, I found this to be fair. The actual appointment went just as smoothly as the booking. Due to COVID-19 people are not allowed inside the hospital. Upon arrival you will see several signs they've placed outside detailing the guidelines. You call on arrival and meet one of the nurses at an outdoor shelter where they will bring your pet inside. You return to your car and then the Vet will call you to discuss what they are doing/next steps. The vet explained everything clearly, gave me options, explained the risks involved, and then ultimately gave me his professional opinion on what the safest/most cost effective option was. Not once did I feel like I was being upsold anything and he was focussed specifically on the issue I brought my cat in for. He gave me a chance to ask questions and once a course of treatment was decided, he said he would call me back next week to see how it's going. Would highly recommend. Will continue to bring my cats here in the future. All the staff seem very efficient, knowledgeable, and like they genuinely care about animals.

would like to know how i took my cat there 3x times and was never informed about his case of ear mites?? i went to a new place that wondered how the previous place was an animal hospital but was not able to do a proper check up (not once but three times in regards to something that couldve been very dangerous for my fur-baby). the doctor i spoke to was very nice each time i went however it is very expensive for the most minimal of tasks. i switched away from these guys to another clinic and they gave me a hard time about forwarding my file to the new place and the girl on the phone was SUPER snappy. the only problem i had ever had with this place (when i was with them) was the expenses but after my last interaction with them im glad i made the switch.

This vet is well worth the drive as we are out of the Mississauga/Oakville area. 2 years ago my Rottweiler torn her ACL however it was very difficult to get a real diagnosis as we did several visits to vet near our home as well as as a vet downtown where we originally lived. The vet downtown confirmed the torn ACL however the surgery that they recommended was quite intrusive along with a $5+k cost. The vet here offered a less intrusive surgery with a shorter healing time along with it being half the cost. Our dog healed beautifully and bounced back to her normal spunky self and able to do all the activities prior to her injury. I do not trust any other vet other than this one. I can count on him to provide honest feedback on how my dog is doing and what is actually needed.

I want to start that I never write reviews but this needed to be posted. Last week I had a horrible experience with this vet. The vet after calling me back was very rude and actually hung up the phone on me while I was still talking. He is not a compassionate doctor, very short and the apt was literally 5 mins long. There was things he missed while doing the apt that I had to remind him. This place is a cash grab and they don’t have any passion for animals. This is got to be the worst I’ve ever seen.
