You can really tell when a vet is more about animals then about the business side of things and Martintiwn is a vet office with a clear mission of helping animals and money is NOT the #1 priority. BEST VET AROUND!!!!

I love the people who work here. They always try so hard to help out our beloved pets. They take great care of every fur baby I've brought. Professional, caring and very respectful ! I'll always recommend their services!

People praise this place because they go out of their way not to charge you any money even if your pet’s life is at risk! They do surgeries without x-rays in hopes that they can save money (I know because my cat had to be spayed twice, because they assumed she only had one ovary due to not finding the ovary while they were doing surgery the first time... this could only happen if they didn’t check before cutting her open). They wanted to give my kitten a shot without even weighing her. All my pets who were fixed here had their throats hurt for 6 weeks afterwards because they were too rough with the breathing tube, something which I have NEVER heard of from any other vet. The final straw which has made me transfer my file, is that they didn’t tell me my cat needed a new vaccination! Instead they seem to assume that everyone is cheap and would rather not be reminded?? What kind of establishment is this? If a human hospital did things like this it would be shut down instantly. I care about my pets like family so I’m taking them somewhere else. Please think twice before going with the cheapest vet in the area. You get what you pay for.

Booked our dog for surgery to have benign lumps removed about a month ago. Called today to see if the surgery was still confirmed and they told us there was not going to be a surgery and that this appointment was just a check-up. We live 1800 kms away and only booked because it was cheaper here than where we live and we have family here to stay and visit with. What a waste of a trip just to find out that one of their receptionists screwed up when they booked the appointment. 0/10 would NOT recommend.

The cost is low but the service is not good. I called to get my puppy in for her second booster shot needed in 3 weeks and was told I would have to wait 2 months until they have an appt. and restart her vaccines like she had never been vaccinated before. Then another receptionist called me back and said that person never said that, she was right there when we were talking. So basically called me a liar. Really?? Wow! I called another clinic and they easily explained it to me and gave her an appt for the appropriate time.

After spending about 7000.- at a hospital in Ottawa (not naming names but I will give a review there as well) and then wanting to amputate the same leg they did surgery on and do another surgery on other leg which was missed the first time of doing X-rays on an 8 month old puppy, I am very thankful to have found Dr. Ian McNaughton at the Martintown Animal Hospital which did a great job for a low price and the puppy is running around playing after the second day of surgery still having all four legs.

After visiting uncaring and money hungry vets in Cornwall we needed an emergency visit over the weekend (Easter long weekend, too) and decided to call Martintown. He saw us within the hour and spend the following hour thoroughly examining our dog. After medication, exams and xrays our "emergency visit" was still half the cost of a regular visit in Cornwall.

Love this place!!!????????Dr Ian McNaughton is by far the best Vet I have ever met. I trust no one else with my babies. He and his staff have been nothing but amazing and I am so berry thankful for them. I live about 30 min from martintown animal hospital and have no personal transportation, but when my babies are in need I always find a way to get them there, the best care from the best vets! Ian is gental but stern with a magic touch lol. When I bring my cats to se him it's like they just become calm and clay like and let him do whatever he's gotta do, even if they don't like it. It's amazing lol. I HIGHLY recommend this Animal Hospital even if you do have to commute it will ???? be worth it for you and your animal children Emotional. Physically and Financially

Spent $1100 on a tightrope knee surgery for my dog. A week later my dogs knee swells up and has a reaction to the meds, It was an emergency. I called for appointment and I’m told to go elsewhere as they are too busy. I do not recommend Martintown animal hospital and urge you to go elsewhere.

They missed a bone shard in my young dogs leg, so now he faces amputation. They out of the blue when we called for a horse emergency said they no longer do horses. They're not good at updating the change in their protocols until we have an emergency.

Had to take Daisy to the Martintown Animal Hospital as she broke a tooth???? Can't say enough good about this place. Took a look at her and told us that her tooth was broken, but it was fine that we didn't need to do anything, no surgery etc. Charged us an extremely reasonable $25 and no extra surcharges. Decent people there who don't take advantage of pet owners, good for them!

Dr. Ian saved my dog Leo’s life not once, but twice. He is the most honest and humble vet that I’ve ever had in my many years of owning pets. He will tell you exactly what the problem is, what’s necessary and what isn’t. He will never do testing or other procedures unless it’s necessary (unlike other vets who simply work for the monetary gain). He is extremely knowledgeable, experienced and calm in his approach. I only have wonderful things to say about him and his staff. He truly always has the pet’s interest in mind - for example, instead of keeping Leo at the clinic all day (which would cost a fee) he suggested that we return him home where he would feel more comfortable and our love to help in the healing process. This is just one of many examples. We are VERY lucky to have him as a vet.

My daughter brought in her Boston terrier this morning as he needed emergency surgery. It is a beautiful thing to see vets that actually care and not gouge people who are in a crisis, unlike the hospital she visited yesterday who inflated the cost so much that her pet would have died because the funds required a second mortgage. The vets here are simply amazing!!! Great prices and the vets are so great with my dog.. even when I had to put down my Guinea pig cause her quality of life wasnt there anymore the vet talked to me and made me feel better about my decision.. the staff are amazing here too.

We have been coming to this vet since we had a hobby farm in summerstown, meaning we’ve known this vet for YEARS. We decided to PERSONALLY ask the vet/owner himself if we had 5 cats in total and 2 dogs if we would get all their vaccination done and spained them all here if there was some kind of discount.. he answered yes, saying after we bring them all in, only the last visitation will get the 15% off which we were completely happy with! Once we come for our last dog to get spained we ask about the 15% off and then the lady tells us the vet is too busy to talk with you right now when you come to pay he MIGHT be around? Why lie to a costumer to get them to come with their 7 animals to just go back on your word or not even putting it in the system. This place is a money making scam that doesn’t feel the need to give you all the info at once.

Went inside and got all his equipment and came back out, kneeling in the wet grass, and game him a full exam. Went back inside and came back out and administered three shots. I’m a local dog breeder and I have been working with the Martin town vet for 6years. Owning a lot of dogs and breeding I can’t tell you the complications we have had and Ian always pulls through. It don’t matter the time of day, emergency c-sections at 2am, 6am whatever no big deal. I can’t recall the amount of times rushing in with problems cause the puppies arnt doing well. His stapled my Dog at 12am because we had a dog fight and she was gushing blood. He came out to my home to put our beloved dog down that was old extremely sick. We didn’t want to make her do the drive. His had his staff personally deliverer me medication and formula because I couldn’t leave my new born litter and mama at home. His save countless of puppies lives and just recently saved my dog from dieing. Bad things happen and sometimes there is nothin we can do, I’m grateful to have Ian there to do Everything possible. I like how straight forward he is, if you want the truth he will tell you. Don’t hate the messenger hate the game
