Drs take great care in the medical treatment and diagnosis of pet/family member. My pets and I are always treated as valued and appreciated clients, We are new clients and are very happy to have changed to Lake Cumberland Animal Hospital. Thank you Dr Crosslin for such excellent care. Update: have been a client for two years now and still very satisfied and happy with Lake Cumberland Animal Hospital. LCAH has a wonderful staff! They were able to get me in the same day when I noticed a large lump growing on my dog (thankfully it was just a hematoma and nothing worse). They were super friendly and the doctor explained everything very thoroughly. They even called back a few days later to check up on her, which made me feel even better about bringing my pup here.

Great Vet/great service/friendly staff!! We are from out of town and our dog got into rat poison... thanks to this vet accepting us as a last minute walk in, my dog is getting the treatment she needs and will be fine. I absolutely recommend this place! Couldn't have asked for better service.

We woke up on Saturday morning to our precious Boston Terrier having a nose bleed. We couldn't get her in to our regular vet and had to drive 40 miles to get to Lake Cumberland Animal Hospital. We were worried to death and left in such a hurry, we arrived over an hour before our appointment. Everyone was so very nice and they actually got us in 40 minutes early! I literally prayed for us to get a vet who had owned a Boston Terrier and that is exactly what God gave us! I cannot tell you how wonderful this doctor and her assistant were! They made myself and my husband so comfortable and most of all, they treated our Niki like one of their own! We have truly found a new vet. It'll be worth the drive just for the great service! I'd recommend these people to anyone! And if you're reading this, thank you all so much for everything you did for Niki!

We have been taking our pets to Dr. Donovan for several years, they have always received excellent care for exams, medical needs, and boarding! In May we had a family emergency late in the evening. I called Dr. Donovan, and Lynsey met me at the clinic and settled our 6 kids inside. 18 days later, I picked up 6 happy and healthy pets! With tails wagging, they still pull us into the clinic when we visit! I chose them for my dog based on good reviews and the fact that they always have a doctor on call 24/7; that fact was priceless to me. We have since moved out of state and miss them terribly! First of all Cynthia Donovan DVM is just wonderful, her vet tech is also great, so very helpful and nice and accommodating, I have 3 dogs all of which are different sizes, so the NexGard chews, which are not cheap!!! they offer buy 3 and get one free which is very helpful being on a retired fixed income, they worked it to where I could still get the 4th one free, until you’ve done everything they’ve asked by bringing each dog in for exams before prescribing, which also is very spendy, (BUT) when you come back in to deal with the receptionist girls they will absolutely not accommodate, no if ands or but’s!!!!! And all with nasty looks and attitudes, they definitely do not do this business justice.

I had a little yorkie that was hit by a car September 22 on Saturday no vet was open but this one we had to drive from the Wayne and Clinton county line to get there when we walked in the place the people acted nice but we got to filling out the paperwork and they said befor we can see him we need the money up front we were like ok how much they said just to see him and some X-rays would be 180 dollars and that’s not accounting the medication or or surgery we said we only have 100 dollars to are name we begged them to see him but they said no we even asked if we could leave the dog there and they would work on him while we went to get the money we said we had some money saved up but it’s at are house which is 2 hours away you’ve got our dog we’re going to come back we begged and begged but they wouldn’t see us a place that’s supposed to save the life’s of our best friends didn’t see us because we didn’t have the money currently my little Yorkie is fighting for his life because they wouldn’t see him if you are going to take your animal here don’t waist your time they don’t care about the animals they only care about money i begged and begged and repeatedly said that we would be back with the money if you just see are dog they kept saying no,no,no I couldn’t believe what I was seeing a veterinarian hospital refusing to see my dag it was whimpering and shaking all over but it didn’t even faze them they said no money no service if your going to take your animal here remember they don’t care about the animal they only care about money

The worst vet experience I have ever had. We rushed our puppy to the vet (this was over a year ago and I just got the strength to post. I think about this often and realized others should know about our experience.) because he had a near drowning while we were on the boat. He was knocked into the water by another family pet. When we walked in, they did immediately take us back but after zero examination, other than the fact that they saw he was vomiting, the vet looked at me and my husband and said, "well, your dog is going to die". We were both frantic already because we have had dogs on the lake since we were little and it was such a freak accident/shock. She gave us zero reassurance the whole time while they did x-rays and put him on oxygen. After about 10 minutes of treatment, the vet approached us and told us that they were about to close and we needed to leave to go to our local emergency vet which was 1.5 hours away. She gave him Lasix and within 5 minutes (and $500) we were shooed out of the door and told just to put the air conditioning on high but he probably wouldn't make it anyway. Let me tell you that our boy is now 1.5 years old and strong as an ox. In a way I am thankful we were told to go somewhere else because if her effort was given, he never would have made it. If you want a vet that actually gives their all to your animal, in any situation, never walk through those doors. This was such a devastating day and we still think about it often because we love our baby so much. To the vet that I will always remember for the worst experience, I hope you read this and feel absolutely disgusted with yourself because you should. Our family will continue to enjoy Chad and ensure we never allow anyone we care about or even know to bring them to your office. I hope this post helps shed some light on what kind of people work at this facility.

Some say well that's just a dog, oh I jump for breath and I not so nice correct them and let them know they are my children and that's how I treat them and talk to them in that way ..
