After dinner our 2 dogs fought each other with one being severely injured, Steeples had the after hours care and took our dog in immediately He received treatment Meds and was sent home to heal, They called Next day to see how he was doing, since Then Steeples called a week later after his drain was removed to see how he was and will continue to monitor his progress. I am thankful they were able to take our boy in. He is doing well considering his injuries and will be on a long road to getting back to where he needs to be.

Dealing with Dr. Cameron Richardson has been a pleasure. I feel my four-legged family are kindly and compassionately cared for by him. All my questions have been thoroughly answered and I've never felt rushed through an appointment. I prefer to deal with one vet only as I have found this tends to eliminates misinformation and mistakes regarding all my little guys as has been the case on more than one occasion previously. Your front staff have been efficient, accommodating and compassionate always, as well as your techs. I've been given copies of all lab work promptly which is due to Dr. Richardson understanding my need to have all knowledge available concerning possible medical conditions that tend to occur in seniors, The only regret I have is that you do not have one of your vets on call during the night as I feel Sprout would still be alive and with me now if someone would have been able to see him on the 30th of December when I had to watch my beloved little dog suffer and gasp for each breath throughout the night only to die in my arms at 6:45 am.

We took our dog Tessa for her first visit to Steeples for her annual shots. The practice is under renovations and I was impressed that everything inside and outside was extremely clean. We saw an Australian Dr. She was very thorough and gentle. Offered great suggestions. I hope when we return we get to see her again. I found the front desk staff seemed to be to busy to spark up a personal conversation as we were new to the practice. I would highly reccomend Steeples Veterinarian!

my old man, Chevy, is 14. he's always had bad ears and I've had to clean them weekly for years. recently he would yelp in pain when I did so he took a visit to see Dr. Willow Burns. she diagnosed him and gave him an ointment, after his first treatment he was no longer yelping when I'd clean his ears. the dryness went away that accompanied this on his ear flaps. he's a happy old man again. definitely our Dr now.

We took our wee 5.5 pound chi to have her spayed and some baby teeth pulled. The staff were terrific. The tech gave us a run down on the procedures they gave us some pain meds for her. She healed up so fast! 2 days after her operation she was right back to her self. I highly recommend Steeples!

My puppy was very sick. I could not afford hospital care, which was optimal, so the staff coached me on the best home care to give my pup the best chance. They sold me all the things I needed to care properly for puppy at home. Puppy is hanging in there and it looks promising. Thank you SO much. Steeples exceeded my expectation of my first appointment with my newly rescued pup. He is highly reactive, fearful of new situations and in general, kind've a mess behaviourally. Steeples respected my wishes to not bring him through the front entrance, the doctor came out and was able to meet him near the car which made him feel so much more relaxed. He wagged his tail and happily greeted the vet, we slipped into the side door avoiding all reactions (which made me so happy because more reactions = higher cortisol levels), she was responsive, friendly, kind and just so wonderful with my old dude. She didn't push him past any discomfort, she was quick and thorough ensuring that all my concerns were looked after. I was able to slip him back out the side door and head in by myself to pay which made the entire experience sooooo much less stressful than it would've been had they not respected my dogs needs. I am over the moon happy with this first experience and they have a client for life now! Thank you Dr. Mackie and the entire staff for such an incredible first experience for Hemi and I!

This was our first visit. We were very happy to see proper covid19 protocol being followed to protect us as a community. Our cat was not impressed with the car ride, or the excort into the building, but, he settled in quickly with Dr. Sawatsky and made no move to bite????????. My family wants to personally thank and recommend highly this great vet clinic. They are so caring and considerate. How lucky are we to have such loving and positive people that take care of our fur babies... and sometimes lizards and other species... From the vets, to the techs to Andrew and to all of you, nothing brings more joy to our hearts than to say "Thanks for your endless and tireless work." Steeples vet is AMAZING. My dog isn’t allowed at the creston vet because one of the staff member doesn’t like me, my dog got a HORRIBLE ear infection and I had to take her to steeples and they were extremely professional, kind and ethical. Cheaper than the vet in creston and they care about the animals and not just the money. We emailed back and forth between visits to keep up on the situation as it was very bad, but they fixed her and I got some money back. I would recommend steeples to ANYONE, after the extremely unethical service I received in creston. The only vet in creston and my animals can’t have emergency service because a staff member doesn’t like me- and she doesn’t like me because of her own actions- not mine. Ethics are beyond their comprehension. Not just someone els has to bring them in- they flat out are refused. Steeples all the way, 100%. Ten million thumbs up.

Was a terrible experience!Brought my sick ten year old dog in who was suffering from bloat,after x rays and ultrasound and blood work was told he had liver cancer and should be put down.Was made to feel like a neurotic old lady who loved her dog to much.There was no follow up,nothing to maybe make his last days better.Was never mentioned that it could be nodulat hyperplasia,which is serious but not malignant!Went to holistic vet who put him on some liver supporting herbs and a better diet than the crap that they push for dog food.I dont expect miracles,but my dog is doing much better.He is still with me and enjoying the rest of his life.Seems obvious that Sawatsky doesnt have that much interest in animals!And Dr. MIke really needs to work on his cageside manner!!Both are very insensitive.Would never go back!Seems to be all about the bucks!

My Rottweiler took a long road trip from Alberta to get ultrasounds done at Steeples due to his liver failing. The staff was amazing but most of all the Vet was very honest with her opinion and knowledge. She spoke about the conditions he might run into in the future as well as preventatives. This quality in a vet should be a standard expectations but it is hard to come by. She wasn't able to cure my dog. But thats not her job. She was able to educate me on the condition my dog was in, relay the results of the testing and tell me the options without making me believe it's a life or death situation. I walked out of there feeling confident to rehabilitate my dogs health vs. Feeling the burden to spend more money on my dog. I've been to many vets for various specialties and pets. By far this has to be my best experience. Steeples is great! I hope to return :)

Yesterday was one of the hardest days to endure, our beloved dog suddenly lost the ability to walk on Saturday, after taking him to another vet that night without any answers, we brought him to Steeples first thing in the morning with Dr. Ort attending to him, in less than an hour she provided us with a complete factual prognosis (it is not one any owner wants to hear) she took so much time to explain what was happening, her compassion and answers to our questions made the decision we had to face - logical, although heartbreaking. Our beautiful boy died surrounded by us, peacefully. It is the mark of an incredible Vet when something like this happens. I would like to thank her and the staff at Steeples for their compassion and care to our boy and us.

My 8 yr old dog had some very subtle signs. Loss of appetite, and desire to exercise much. I'm so glad and relieved I took Sophie in. They located a small tumor on her spleen. This can be devastating for a dog. They were very honest with facts. I proceeded with the surgery and am so glad I did. Major props to the vet who performed the surgery, she gave me great confidence in her ability. Last but absolutly not least, the very hard working and knowledgeable vet technician was delicate and sympathetic to both Sophie and myself. It really is no wonder I've been using Steeples as my number one go to veterinary clinic for the last 15 years.

We brought our puppies in to Steeples for their rounds of vaccinations. While receiving vaccinations, we asked about spaying/neutering. We were told to wait a year for our medium sized female dog. I asked if they're sure about that because it seemed like a long time given her size and I want to get her spayed before she goes into heat to reduce the risk of cancer later and avoid accidental pregnancies (we have a younger, intact male pup). They disregarded my concerns and told me I should definitely wait a year. Our pup is 9 months old and in heat...there's no turning the clock back now and I wish I had trusted myself and gone to a different vet clinic.

Very disappointing service! Treated poorly and did not feel welcome or confident with the service. Called with questions and concerns, receptionist was nice, but haven’t heard back from a vet and it’s been over four days?! Not very professional! The last three visits we were dismissed, not informed or advised on what to do. And charged an arm and a leg.....for what!!!
