Life is sometimes Hard, My Cat doesn't always know when I've had a bad day. He just comes up starts purring and wants some cuddles. My cat is amazing cause my troubles seem to float away. My cat was having a bad day (limp and fever) so I went up to him and and tried baby voice and cooing, my cat again helped me by purring. He still wanted me to feel good and I wanted him to feel good so I took him to Courtenay Veterinary Clinic. I'm pretty sure all of the people there know how to purr cause both me and my Cat are feeling better, thank you for showing this love.

Been visiting more often then we would like BUT the staff is always excited to see Mace! They always complement how well behaved he is. Mace has a tough time walking INTO the building but once we’re in he’s all kisses and love. The staff always makes his visit priority and makes sure he’s leaving in better shape then he left. They always call to check his he’s doing after (if it’s more than a regular checkup) such a caring place ????

Caring and knowledgeable, great clinic. My dog got sick and they squeezed me in, and I still had fantastic service. The staff were kind and caring. The veterinarian (Dr. Chappell) was knowledgeable and open and curious and kind, and I found her very trustworthy. She spent a long time discussing treatment options with me. My dog has a history of stressful vet visits, and her visit to Courtenay Vet was the calmest I've ever seen her when being handled by clinic staff. I'm very grateful to Courtenay Vet for squeezing us in and the care they gave us, I highly recommend them!

The staff and the vets at the Courtenay Veterinary Clinic were very kind and gentle with our elderly cat. They treated us with such compassion on our very sad day. The vet explained everything so that we could focus on giving comfort to our pet. A few days later we received a lovely card from them. I highly recommend this clinic.

We were on our vacation when our dog jumped out of the car and ripped her dewclaw nail off. Luckily we were 5 minutes away from Courtenay vet, and they managed to get us in right away to help out our pup. They were all so incredibly nice and caring, and set us up so we were able to continue on our vacation! Thank you to Dr Ruiz and the whole Saturday team! Ava is happy to be on her way again!

I love this clinic. I moved here a few months ago and had trouble finding a vet willing to take on new clients due to covid. I called these guys and they fit me in within two days of the call! They were so friendly and made me and my chihuahua dolly feel so welcomed! Dolly got a standard examination and when she was finished the vet walked me through everything she found (perfect bill of health but she needed to be spayed and have a tooth removed!) After that we talked about booking in for a spay and they made me feel comfortable and didn’t pressure me at all to book one or the tooth removal they just recommended it and talked me through charges and everything. Booking with them was the best decision i could have made for Dolly! They treated her with kindness and did an awesome job on her stitches and stomach it’s barely noticeable! She’s now at home recovering! They told me to call and ask as many questions and told me they would check her if I had concerns! Kelly (one of the vet techs) and Meg (the vet who worked on dolly) were so incredibly kind and sweet and made the experience 100% better! Thank you guys for everything you did for dolly!

Show me the money. I have never been charged for a follow up visit on my dogs, until now. And to not be told about the charge or that there would be test charges until it's time for me to leave is absolutely rude. So if you like unexpected charges, this is the place to go. I might not be so upset if my dog was cured but no that has not happened either.

The front desk staff are always helpful. Love that they do phone chats as well to keep tabs on how my dog is doing. So helpful especially now that my dog is very ill and that special attention is appreciated.

Went in there today with a sick dog and a new born baby, only to be turned away because i didn't have 86 dollars to have a vet look at them and apparently they were fully booked and to get a vet to even give me advice I would have to pay an additional 60 dollars for an emergency. My belief is that veterinarians take up their job because of their love for animals but all I saw at this place was a money grab a young family sent away because they couldn't pay, by some very rude receptionist From what I experienced i would not bring my loved animals to people who don't seem to care about their well being only their payroll

We now take both our dogs here and all the staff we've dealt with are so kind and caring! Had our puppy neutered and they called a couple of times to check on him afterwards. A few months later, the very day we were leaving for a camping vacation out in the bush, we noticed our one dog had a bad scratch on her eye that needed attention before we left. I called the clinic and they said "how fast can you get here?" We got there in 10 minutes, they saw us after only a few minutes wait and set us up with medications to use while were were away. So thankful for such quick efficient service when in dire straights. PS: I think the person who left a 1star review was being very unfair. Sounds to me like they showed up unannounced wanting something for nothing and are trying to make the vet sound bad... simply not fair.
