We recently moved into the area. One of my dogs just became lethargic and stopped eating on the weekend. I called another vet that I had be going to for over 11 years and they were so rude to me on the phone. Offered no advice and told me they couldn't take an appointment for over a week. I called Tuxedo Animal Hospital and they were also booked up, but I explained my dog's symptoms and they told me to bring her in first thing in the morning. I was very grateful and the responsiveness by the staff was truly amazing. Thank you very much! p.s. Lulu is doing very well!

Great place wonderful staff very knowledgeable. Our vet was Dr Jonas Watson i called last week an he's not there anymore but he's opening his own practice. Tuxedo is a great place but we wouldn't see any other vet except Dr Watson we would follow him anywhere.

We've been taking our dog here for several years and had very good experiences overall. During a period of particular frequent visits we mostly saw Dr. Watson who provided good care, honest advice and was realistic about the value of various tests. As others have mentioned we didn't feel pushed to have unnecessary tests or special food. Instead Dr. Watson was open to discussing the risks and benefits (and costs!) of each test so we could make informed decisions. I believe strongly that tests should only be performed when you have a reasonable plan to do something with the results so I was very happy to have these conversations.

Excellent service and care for our golden retriever! Quick and attentive, receptionists are very friendly and easy to schedule with. Dr. Joselyn Bongiorno is very kind and knowledgeable. Could not recommend them more. Our dog had a complication from a surgery at another animal hospital in the city and they took such good care of him when the other hospital had failed to!

Super friendly and great service. Relatively reasonable prices too. Took my 10 pound pup in for a spay, hernia repair and cherry eye surgery and was $825. Everyone there loved her and the vet even debriefed me when I picked her up. All the staff emphasized to call if I had any questions at all. Definitely would recommend!

We are so thankful my fiancé and I came across Dr.Dorval! She is so kind and we felt she genuinely cares, and she always is so respectful to us. We never felt she pushed unnecessary treatment/tests and was the only vet we saw in a 2.5 month span who thought of a very rare condition our dog has, even when other vets said it couldn’t be as it’s so rare. We had previously visited two other vets- and just felt like we kept doing test after test thinking it must be something else. Thanks to her, our puppy can live a healthy life! We are sad as we are leaving to Alberta, I wish we could take us with! I would highly recommend tuxedo vet and Dr.Dorval. Thank you again!!!!

They were very eager and very concerned when we thought there was a good possibility that one of our two Irish Wolfhounds could have ingested something that they shouldn't have. After x-raying the one that we thought was most likely to have eaten the hazardous objects and found nothing they were able to x-ray our second hound, just as a precaution and for our piece of mind. That x-ray also was negative for an ingested foreign objects.

The hospital said it was time for my dog of 10 years old to let her go. She was sick from old age. She died but a week later, we found out that it was a tooth infection and she just needed antibiotics. She was small and the infection went throughout her and it wasn't detected. Tuxedo got more money from us by giving her IV's for fluid and pain injections. All the while, antibiotics would have made her better. They took her life when she wasn't ready. No sympathy and refused to believe it was an infection even after showing them the paperwork. Never, ever again.

Nice people, they seem to care. Managed to xray my dog (a large 100 lbs critter) without having to sedate him and was not upset. They were also very understanding and helpful when he passed away. He never objected to going there, even if they did poke and prod him in an undignified manner, they always gave him a milk bone or two and that made up for everything.

I brought my elderly cat, Harry, to Tuxedo Animal Hospital, where he was diagnosed as a diabetic. The staff was wonderful to him. They were attentive to my concerns around administering insulin to him, and offered thoughtful instruction. Harry is like a new cat: happy and energetic, and I'm relieved and grateful. Not to mention that I found out that he loves going to the vet.

New in Winnipeg, didn't shop around for the prices. Came to the TUXEDO ANIMAL HOSPITAL. I have two small dogs, each of them weight 4 kilograms. Came simply for HEART WORMS VACCINATION. Ended up with 400$ bill. When I disagreed with the amount , got attitude from the staff and the doctor, that laughed in my face. Ridiculously overpriced and other vets offering multiple dogs discounts.

Very friendly staff who are so informative with the pet owners. They will let you know what they see as potential issues to look out for with your pets between visits (immediate treatment they need to do vs what you can do yourself to alleviate symptoms). They all clearly care deeply for each animal that comes through the door. Highly recommended!

We've been bringing our dog here for 12 years (she's a senior girl now!) She has been seen by most of the vets in the office over the years, and had great care every time. The desk staff are friendly and efficient, the techs are great. We have had a few urgent visits over the years, and they always find room for us to be seen. As long as we have a pet, they will be our vets. Highly recommend.

I used Tuxedo Animal Hospital for all of the reproductive specific veterinary care for my purebred dog. This so far has entailed serial progesterone testing, surgical AI, and will include a follow up ultrasound etc. Throughout it all, the staff has been nothing but knowledgeable, caring, patient, and accommodating and took excellent care of my girl! The knowledge and expertise of Dr Joan Stewart-Hay regarding reproductive care is second to none, and she takes the time to explain everything and answer my many questions. Thank you to you and your staff for all that you do!

Excellent veterinary hospital with reasonable rates. You always get to see the vet right on time everytime. This business is technologically advanced compared to other places I have been before. They provide their customer with email or SMS reminder as well as electronic appointment confirmation. Theur specialized food service is also on point. When I ordered food they had it in within 2 days. I would strongly recommend you go there for your pet needs. I especially like the cat that always sleeps in the basket at the reception. We found this place very expensive & not helpful. We brought in our dog for her separation anxiety. The veterinarian did not have enough knowledge to prescribe the appropriate medication. Brought in the CPS, to look up the medication. We both read & decided on prozac. This medication cost $38 /month at the vet. $16/month at Costco !! Our bill for this visit was $80 !!! We have never paid that at any other clinic. When we inquired about it , the office manager was quite rude dealing with us. We will never go back there & don't recommend this place. They seem to be incompetent, rude & expensive!!!
