I had great experience with Dr.M and his team at Truscott Hospital. I don't normally write reviews and this might be my first or second review. But I have to recommend this place to everyone who sees my comment. My cat was having a severe fever and felt very sick (no food no drink and kept sleeping). I took him to Dr.M asap on a Sunday afternoon. Dr.M was able to narrow down the issues very quickly and. Dr.M and his team worked overtime to save my cat as well. Unlike other viet places, Truscott Animal Hospital makes you feel like home and Dr.M gave very professional advice. My cat has become much better and starting to eat and run around again. 10/10 recommended!

I've been taking my rabbit to Dr. Meawad for a year now and his entire team is excellent. They are compassionate, do a great job and rates are reasonable. They will always explain what he is doing to help me understand what they're doing. I would highly recommend Dr. Meawad for any cat, dog, rabbit and other pet needs. Update Oct 23. About two weeks ago I noticed Momo my rabbit refusing his treats including his favourite parsley. He also stopped eating hay. After about 24 to 48 hours I booked a last minute appointment to bring him in to see Dr meawad. He believed it may be gastrointestinal stasis but highly suggested xrays to confirm. We went ahead and he explained it was as he had deduced. He administered medication and because the following day is a public holiday. He referred Momo to a nearby emergency clinic if Momo were to not respond well to the medication. DR also called us that evening and followed up the following morning to ensure Momo was recovering well. Such a caring and attentive vet doctor I could not ask for more. Thank you so much! I highly recommend Truscott for your pet needs.

Coming to Truscott Animal Hospital was one of the better decisions we've made since getting our dog. After a recent scare with an infection and a quote from the Emergency Hospital that would have forced us to make some tough choices, a friend referred me to Dr. M. At the first visit, he spent over an hour working with our dog and getting him to eat, got some medicine into him and did far more to treat the dog than anyone had to that point. I'm happy to say that he is back to full health and doing great, but Dr. M has been excellent about having followup visits to check on progress. You can tell that the people at Truscott Animal Hospital really, genuinely care about the animals that come in and will work to make sure their patients stay in the best of health. We've made the switch and have no regrets!

Was very impressed with the staff and they were very welcoming and friendly. I would recommend to all pet owners, both my dog, Zeko and I came out happy after each visit. I know my dog is getting the best treatment from the staff. On our first visit, I was stressed as I am a first time pet owner, yet the staff made me feel comfortable and I was happy when I saw the staff treat my dog with love. The doctor came out and explained everything to know about the visit and answered all my questions about what to expect as a dog owner.

The follow up and the aftercare service was way above our expectations. They addressed all of our concerns and were very attentive. Highly recommended. Dr M and all of his staff are extremely hardworking, knowledgeable and caring. We’ve been working together on a tough case regarding our pup. Our home observations of our pet are taken very seriously as part of the diagnostic process which goes a long way to establishing the feeling both you and your vet are doing all you can to help. Dr M has also been very flexible and accommodating, and anything but remote. If you are in the area and are looking for a new vet, give Dr M a try. Oh and the resident cat, George is extra cute even by vet cat standards.

my cat "Pudding" had an urinary blockage about six weeks ago, from the research we did before, we brought him to Truscott Animal Hospital that is nearby with excellent review ratings. We were greeted by the staff outside of the clinic because the covid lock-down, then she brought Pudding inside for the examination. While we were waiting outside, we saw Dr. Meawad came out discussing pets' situation with other pets owners. you can feel his energy and passion about what he is doing. He certainly gave us the feeling of assurance. Shortly after, he came out again to discuss Pudding's situation and gave us the possible outcome and the initial estimate. We left Pudding there, rest assured he is in the good hands. In the next 48 hours, I received the follow up call and additional adjustment of treatment plan. everything is transparent, up-front and from our knowledge - good priced. after two days, we went to pick up Pudding, Dr. Meawad spent a good amount of time to explain pudding's condition in detail and gave us the follow-up actions and potential future treatment plans. We are extremely happy with the service, experience, and knowledge of Dr. Meawad and staff at Truscott Animal Hospital. Certainly we will recommend this place for anyone is looking for a good vet for their pets. .

The staff was able to squeeze my sweet CeeCee in on a very busy Saturday as it was an emergency.The doctors were very sensitive to my emotions concerning my 20 year old cat. Not only were they full of knowledge and recommended some necessary tests, they were not forceful and gave me time to make decisions . This is a very good place! The vet is so kind, caring & professional. He really cares about the customers & always wants them to leave with a good experience. If you’re dissatisfied with something even in the slightest, he’ll make sure to fix it ASAP along with the employees so you can be satisfied & happy. From all the staff to the best Veterinarian anyone can ever ask for, this place is the best!!!!! Dr. Medhat is a very caring loving and humorous man, he goes above and beyond to help his customers and their pets! The female vet is also very good. He makes you feel like he has known you forever, he really cares for your pets and not just a in and out-- give me your money . Today, in spite of Covid Restrictions and long wait times, I felt that my dog Toby (a large boxer breed) was very well taken care of. A big shout out to Josie (the vet assistant) for taking the time to call a specialist clinic and get us an early appointment.!!!!!FIVE STARS IS NOT ENOUGH and I am a customer for life!!!!

I absolutely love this clinic ????. Doctor M is such a kind, compassionate loving doctor. You don't find a lot of good quality vets these days but he is one of the best. You can see he REALLY loves his job and loves the animals he works with. He cares for them like its his own. Even his staff share the same love for the animals. The clinic prices are affordable and reasonable. They seem to care for your animal more than the money unlike some other veterinary clinics. My cat Ivory had a tumor, very big in size and I was devastated when it happened. She needed to get it removed. It was a big operation and it needed to be done right. I am glad that I found him and he was the one that did it. I can't even imagine any one else. He and the staff handle my cat with care and compassion since she was in so much pain. They made her feel comfortable and calm her nerves. The surgery was successful and her stitches and recovery was incredible. Her incision was big but because he did such an amazing job no marks were created or left behind. Her stomach was clean after stitches were removed. It doesn't even look like she had such a surgery. They are all such amazing kind hearted people and I would recommend them to everyone. They deserve more than 5 stars. They deserve 10.

I first met Dr. M. 2 YRS ago when my Golden Retreiver Abigail got cancer. He did everything he could to save my sweet girl, and ease my financial burden . He cared about both of us. 2 weeks ago my now 4yr old Dogue De Bordeaux/Rottweiler cross, Bailey's 2 back molars needed care due to a slab fracture and tartar. Thanks to Dr. M. and his staff performing an extensive dental cleaning, no extractions were required. I now know how to brush Bailey's teeth to keep her healthy. I have had dogs and cats my whole life and this is the best care for my pets as well as for me I have experienced from any past Vet clinic. I have witnessed this for myself and many clients.

Dr. Medhat Meawad And his team Has been absolutely amazing. Our dog Benji was up at the cottage and had a huge laceration on his leg requiring 21 Staples. We had stitches put in in Peterborough which ended up getting very infected. We took him to Dr. Medhat and he had to drain the pus and redo the sutures with 21 Staples. The first time the stitches were put in it looked horrible. When Dr. Medhat put his staples in it looked very professional and well done and clean unlike the first time. Benji had a quick recovery because of because of Truscott Animal Hospital. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone with a pet. You can tell they really care.

My experience here was so-so. We have our usual Vet in OakPark, but this location was closer and had great reviews, so we decided to try it out. We had an appointment for 3:30 PM. Another patient walked in and had an emergency so they had to go ahead of us. Understandable, no big deal. I think we eventually saw the doctor after 45 minutes. Even when we got to the examination room, he was in and out of the room as if he was trying to do multiple things at once. Our dog had been having skin problems, itchiness, balding, dandruff etc. We told him our puppy had a case of mites when he was younger, his immediate answer was "dogs don't get mites, only cats do". The mites were diagnosed by our original vet and yes it is a common thing for dogs! He told us his skin problems were due to food, although he has been on a salmon diet for most of his life. So we bought the hypoallergenic food that he recommended and still nothing changed after 3 weeks. We went back to our original vet and they did indeed confirm his mites were coming back as it was apparent in his paws and ears. They gave us some medicine and we put him back on his salmon kibble. Our pup has been looking so much better. Clearly people have had positive experiences with Truscott Vet, but this place just wasn't for me.

Doctor M, explained the operation thoroughly, as well as the recovery process. The operation went well, and three weeks later our dog is recovering well. Dr. Meawad, the owner of this clinic, is very friendly and cares about the animals and the owners as if they were his family members. It was the Civic Day long weekend when our 3 month old kitten had a serious digestive problem. He was treated at the regular vet on Friday just before the long weekend but his condition took a quick turn on Sunday morning and he continued vomiting and diarrhea and eventually lost appetite and did not want to move. I was very worried especially he is very young and called the local walk-in emergency clinics but one of the clinic told me that they are fully booked and that I will have to wait until midnight to be seen and she did not even show any compassion as I explained his condition and begged her to take him in. Other place gave me a really high estimate which I cannot afford.... I was hopeless but kept searching and happened to find that his clinic was open on Sunday in the long weekend. When I phoned the clinic, Dr.M himself answered the phone as he was about to leave the clinic to spend the weekend with his family but he kindly said that he can wait to see us. As we rushed to the clinic, he welcomed us with the clinic cat George. Our kitten received the necessary treatment there and he had a quick recovery after that. We really appreciate Dr.M’s compassionate care. He truly cares about his patients. Also his friendly smiles made us relaxed and felt that our kitten was going to be OK. Thank you Dr. Meawad for treating my little kitten! He has become very healthy and growing well now!

We brought my 15 year old dog here when she was suffering from kidney failure in December 2020. I honestly wasn't very optimistic due to her age and her condition and the Doctor was very honest and realistic but also reassuring. He saved her life. February 2021- she's acting like herself and it's almost like nothing ever happened. She's happy and running around with puppies and playing, she definitely doesn't show her age. We will bring her back here for any other treatments or check ups she needs in the future. Being with Truscott AH has been extremely frustrating. Everytime my dog and I went in for an appointment it felt like we were being rushed. They always were too busy handling too many clients at once and this made them unapproachable. It has also been a headache dealing with trying to receive proper documentation from them for my insurance. When I took my dog in to get a heartworm test. They said if we don’t get a call in a couple of days then he’s fine. When I requested for medical records, they did not provide any test results or mention it in his patient chart. This led to my insurance denying our claim. They did not even care enough to call us back even if his test came back negative. There were also times where they didn’t tell us upfront the costs. I wanted transparency and proper communication but did not receive that. I’m glad I switched vets when I could. This vet is an absolute nightmare.

It was really hard to find a good trusting vet as I have never took my cat to a vet :( but over here at Truscott Animal Hospital they sure know what they are doing! As soon as we walk in we’re not only greeted by the reception but also a super cute cat named George! They treated my cat and I with lots of love, care and patience also did a fantastic job with making sure he is doing good by giving us updates over the phone. I was hesitant to bring my grumpy kitty but this location was within walking distance and reading the supportive understanding of the costs I had to try... well it was the best experience. The experience of the support, the understanding and the compassion for my compassion of 19yrs was beyond words. He tried to save her but unfortunately I had to put her down. The work he did to help me and my Meeka are beyond words. Meeka passed on June 17th. I miss her dearly and his the Animal Hospital sign I felt I lost another family. This hospital feels like home. The doctor is extremely educated in all animals and provide financial assistance to help one have the best care for their beloved fur babies. I highly recommend Dr. Meawad is beautiful inside and out and for the kind words he said to my son “you know you have a good Mom.” Was so kind. And when he allowed my friends to be with me for her last breathes, to tell another friend how caring I am was just so nice to see someone recognized me as a good person. I loved my Meeka and would do anything for her. I miss her but knowing he understands my grief is the best gift of all. Thank you to everyone who tried to help Meeka. Thank you to the front staff for their great compassionate customer service. But thank you to the doctor and his wife as he must have gone home wayy after 9pm that night and I truly understand how hard this type of work can be on the family so I appreciate the services as caring and as compassionate the doctor is and I’m only one person can you imagine he is like this with everyone. Welcome to the Community and I feel so privileged the hospital was here to help me with my buddies last few months of her life! ????????

I can honestly say I found my forever Vet after today. I’ve never taken all three of my cats together to a vet- but oh man did Dr. Medhat make our lives so much easier. The staff and the doctor took such care of our fur babies, individually inspecting every aspect and ensuring my babies health was the number one priority. I’m a student so finally, it’s a bit of a struggle. Dr. M totally understood our situation and didn’t try to push us into any treatments without informing us of the price and asking for our consent. Even then he was so considerate in giving us the best prices in town for such an amazing service. You can tell the staff and the doctor really care about the wellbeing of the cats more than anything and I couldn’t be happier to have him as my vet for Kiki, Kutty and Evee???? Really happy about our recent switch to the Truscott clinic. We moved from Toronto to Mississauga and I was looking for a new vet for our senior cat. Of all the clinics I looked at, Truscott just seemed to be the best choice, the care they feel for pets seemed evident just through their website. I emailed them and they promptly responded saying we'd be welcome to book a visit anytime we were ready. When we did take our senior cat in for her annual visit, they were very pleasant. We did have to wait a short time because Dr. Meawad is very busy and he'd just come out of surgery, but in the meantime we were seen by a tech who did all the admission work for our cat, and meeting Dr. Meawad eventually, we were pleasantly surprised by his evident compassion. The clinic we had taken our cats to in Toronto spent half the amount of time with us and we always felt pressured into buying something or paying for some extra test, but Dr. Meawad didn't push us into any extra bloodwork, and didn't charge us for another visit when we came back later in the week for vaccinations. Overall, we paid about half of what we were used to paying in the city. Looking forward to forming a long-lasting relationship with this clinic and our cat!

Then we found out about Truscott Animal Hospital and we read so many good things that we decided it's worth to drive a bit further. And we were definitely not disappointed. The staff and Dr.M are amazing! They are very attentive and treated my cat Salem like he was their own. About a month ago Salem was VERY sick. We had contacted our regular vet and gave them details of his condition. We were told to observe him. Two days later, on a Sunday morning, his condition declined rapidly and our regular vet was closed. We had heard about Dr. M from a family member as well as being recommended by many people on a community site. We called him and he took Salem in right away. He took x-rays and found that Salem had swallowed several hair elastics that were causing intestinal blockage. We didn't know if he would survive. Dr. M said he needed emergency surgery. He made sure our cat was stable and then did the surgery that day. He told us it was still a very serious situation. He let us see Salem (safely) after the surgery and called us at 10pm to let us know that things were progressing well. We were lucky to have found someone to react so quickly. He was compassionate and extremely patient with us as we were concerned and stressed about the rapid decline in Salem's condition over the 2 days prior to his surgery. We are very grateful to Dr. M. and his team. Truscott Animal Hospital is our new permanent veterinary office. Our family and Salem want to thank you for everything! He is back to his old self again and we couldn't be happier!

We brought our 6 month old kitten in to be neutered in May. It was our first time dealing with Truscott Animal Hospital and from the very beginning when we started to deal with Danielle it was a 10/10 experience. She made us feel comfortable with our decision to bring him there and answered what probably seemed like 100 questions. Before during and after his surgery she kept us up to date and even sent us some pictures. We met his vet when we went to pick him up and he was very welcoming and assured us that we had a very smart kitty on our hands. We will be taking our 11 year old shih tzu and 5 year old shih tzu there in June and we are looking forward to a long and welcoming relationship with this hospital. Thanks for everything. On Feb 16 2019 I came home from work and noticed Jupiter was walking around drunk like. I frantically called him and said be there at 5 pm. I thought he was already there but he came in just to see Jupiter. Gave him a thorough check up, cleaned his ears and gave him drops. Then he had a recheck appt a few days later and he was on antibiotics. After the round of meds Jupiter is a brand new cat. Jumping everywhere, playing and he got his meow back which he loss a few years ago. He is caring vet and he knows his stuff. Highly recommend and the best vet in Mississauga.

My family and I noticed the animal hospital had opened very close to us. Our cat, Moe, was very ill with an abcess and thankfully the vet was able to take us in right away. He was very kind with Moe and took his time explaining the situation. Unfortunately Moe started to decline and we thought we’d lose him. My family and I were very upset but Dr. Medhat was very generious to us and Moe and recommend after much care to watch him for 24 hours before making any final decisions. Thankfully Moe started to slowly recover throughout the night. With the help of Dr. Medhat our kitty Moe is much better. Definitely will be back to him for any issues. These qualities shine through in the care he shows his patients and their families as well as in how he treats and interacts with his staff. We got a call from the kids to come home and check on Diesel, we came home on Saturday early afternoon and saw our English bulldog had still not come out of his crate or eaten yet, we finally got him out and noticed a large lump on the side of his face! We panicked and called Truscott animal hospital immediately and said I know diesel has never been to you but we need medical attention right away, without hesitation Vanessa (your staff member) said bring him in right away the vet will see him! We got there and were greeted with love and smiles. Diesel got attention instantly from the vet and Vanessa they were AMAZING the vet was so gentle and kind to our boy keeping him calm! He treated what happened to be an abscess! Sent him home with meds and a follow up to make sure he was gonna do better! We brought him back today (Monday) as you asked us to, and again the welcoming, warming greeting we got was incredibly! I have since moved all of our 3 English bulldogs records to them and will only be using them as our new vet also it’s so close to home for us too! It’s so important to find a vet that your comfortable with to take care of your babies and be confident that they are getting the proper treatment they need to get better! My dog had a tumour and I did not trust my previous vet. I had found the Truscott Animal Hospital online and based on the great reviews I went in to quote for the surgery. I spoke with Dr. M and he had promised me that my dog would be taken care of and go through surgery without a problem. Above all, Dr. M offered to remove a lump that my dog had on his chest with that he included a complimentary teeth cleaning since he would be under anesthesia. He made a surgery as well for my cat when his nail got him injured in one of the paws. He is really a compassionate and an amazing Doctor and all the staff are great as well. Always thankful!

The staff is made up of very caring and meticulous professionals. They went above and beyond for our dog when he was rushed there following a seizure and were available for us to check in and get updates regularly. He's old, almost 14, and they rescued him from a very critical stage and quickly too. They also gave us easy-to-follow instructions on how to properly monitor our dog's glucose levels (he's diabetic) with demonstrations and guidance, whereas other clinics charge for this service. They are extremely compassionate and will treat your pet (and you) with the upmost respect and support. I also agree with another reviewer's observation that the clinic is very clean and sanitized (I've been to some that are not!). My family strongly recommends this clinic.

I want to start by thanking Dr.M and his amazing support Staff for all their efforts to ensure that Kitkat is still able to see today. It was a long journey that started the in early February 2020 when Kitkat was diagnosed with Glaucoma in both of her eyes, which meant she could end up blind. I felt so guilty, totally devastated and scared to death. At this point Dr.M took both Kitkat and me under his wing and said that we were going to win this battle one way or the other and treatment began. For two weeks Kitkat got 2 different pain medications twice a day, eye drops in both eyes three times a day (24 Hrs) and saw Dr.M every third day. At the end of two weeks Dr.M told me that we had saver Kitkat's left eye but the right eye was lost to her so it would have to be removed and the surgery was on February 26th at 7 AM, I picked Kitkat up that evening around 5 PM . When we got home Kitkat pretty much took things into her own paws and did everything in her own time as I continue to give her her medications and eye drops in her left eye the same as we did prior to the surgery.The eye drops will continue for as long as Kitkat is with me. We saw Dr.M every two to three days for the first two weeks and the once a week for the next couple of week. It took a little while for Kitkat to get her peripheral vision working properly but once she was feeling better with her vision in sync she was back to her old self and giving Maggie her sister a run for her catnip. Without Dr.M and the other Ladies and Gentlemen and their patience and loving care of both Kitkat and Me I dare not think what the outcome would have been. P.S. Always been great since our pup was only 6 weeks old -now 10 months. He's a mix lab with very picky appetite and sensitive stomach. His first incident was when he was 4 month old. He had gastro -vomiting and diarrhea and for a puppy it was very scary. Called Dr. M and went to see Boomer right away. Same night his diarrhea stopped and started eating again. Now Boomer is 10 month old, he had gastro again from eating a wet food we gave him (same brand as his kibbles tho so we thought he would be ok) overnight, same thing happened but this time there was blood in his stool. Dr. M see Boomer right away and gave him his superb treatment like always. Now Boomer is eating again and his stool is no longer diarrhea just hours after seeing Dr. M. He quickly made a diagnosis and provided her with treatment. He also followed up with me the following day to provide me with the blood work results, as well as saw her a week later to confirm the medication was working and she was doing better. I had previously attended another clinic which tried to force me into unnecessary things that were not needed and it made me grateful that in this time of stress the doctor only wanted to do what was absolutely necessary. My 6 year old cat Moonie had a blockage and I had to take him to the Emergency Vet in Mississauga/Oakville at night time. They discovered he had bladder stones and said he needed surgery. In the morning they called our regular vet's office who couldn't take him and told me to call around looking for someone who could do the surgery. I was super stressed and asked my friend who works for an adoption agency for any recommendations. She said to call Truscott Animal Hospital. I called and was greeted by very friendly staff who took my information and said she would call the vet and get back to me asap. She called back shortly after saying they could take him that day for the surgery! I was SO relieved. Transferring Moonie there from the Emergency vet made me so worried, but as soon as I arrived, they took us in and I got to meet Dr. Meawad. He is very friendly and caring, and took the time to explain everything to me. The other doctor (I didn't get his name unfortunately) was coming in later that evening to perform the surgery. He called to update me once it was done and was super nice and patient with my many questions! In the morning Dr. Meawad called back to give me another update and went through the plan for the next 2 days for recovery. Moonie stayed there a total of 3 days to continue to be monitored to make sure everything was successful with the surgery. When I picked him up I got another update from Dr. Meawad and also got to meet a technician (I also didn't get her name) who guided me through the medications I would need to administer and answered more of my questions. She was so kind and was a joy to speak to as well. Moonie went for his two check-ups after the surgery over a two week span. He is doing well! Overall, my experience there was really great. I got to meet various front desk staff during this time too and they are all really nice and have beautiful smiles to greet you in. I really feel like Moonie was taken care of like he was part of their family. They all commented about him in some way, and I found that very comforting to know that they all played a part in his situation-- be it performing the surgery, to monitoring him, or to just trying to make him comfortable. It is a great place and I recommend them for your pets!!

I called the 24 hour animal hospital and they told me they could not see her they were too busy, I called ever Vet office in Mississauga and everyone was close I called Truscott animal hospital and of course no answer there to, at this point I really didn’t know what to do next, then my phone rang and Dr M called me I told him what had happened and he said come right in, he opened his clinic to help her. I really wanted to like this place. After rounds of research and reading reviews I was excited to visit this place hoping it was going to be the one. I sent a few emails for price inquiries but they did not respond to my last email so I called and booked an appointment. I waited 45 mins from my scheduled appointment, which was fine because it seemed they were very backed up so I wanted to be understanding. Vet was super friendly and answered my questions. At the end of the session there was some back and forth miscommunication with the reception, and the vet ended up listening to my concerns and resolved the situation which I thought was nice. After payment I asked to be contacted for some quotes and information. Was really hoping reception would get back to me after what had happened but they did not, I and gave them ample time to get back to me. They had sent me a prebooked appointment which I had not asked for though. Every day that passed from my initial visit just made me more irritated about the situation. I am disappointed with the communication with this clinic and just made me feel they were more of a business than a place who cared for me and pet. Back to square one to finding a vet.

So calm with him, very patient with him as he gets skiddish with new people. I took my dog to my previous vet, as she had almost a 104 degree fever, was lethargic and had a very bad infection in her mouth. After my previous vet checked her, he advised that I take her to the emergency immediately, as she wasn't doing well. I got her checked into the emergency the same day and they did a check up, blood tests and couldn't find anything wrong. They gave me a quote of $1200-$1600 for the visit. including an overnight stay. After refusing the overnight stay, they charged me $600 for the blood test and check up and advised that she would possibly need more tests which would cost anywhere from $1500-$2000 per test. Due to not wanting to wait for emergency doctors to determine what was wrong, I booked her an appointment with Truscott Animal hospital the next day after getting a referral from a friend. They took my dog in the afternoon that same day. The doctors and staff were very friendly and checked my dog. Within 20 minutes they discovered that she would had gingivitis and the infection was causing the fever. They gave her antibiotics for 10 days and booked an appointment to follow up on her progress. Within 2 days of seeing Truscott Animal Hospital, my dog is back to her normal self with no fever and no sign of infection. Truscott Animal Hospital saved me a lot of money and took the time to determine exact what was wrong with my dog without having me go through unnecessary tests. I would highly recommend Truscott Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a vet which truly cares about your pet!

I phoned Truscott Animal Hospital on September 4th 2020 because my dog was not feeling well and I knew that there was something wrong with him. The receptionist that I spoke with asked me a lot of important questions and then she consulted with the Doctor. I was told me to bring my dog into the office that afternoon. This is my cat Marisha in the picture, about a year ago I tried to get her spayed and she woke up during surgery which made me scared to get her spayed again. A few weeks ago she began showing signs of pyometra and Dr. M tried to approach the problem with antibiotics but that didn't help so we decided the best option would be to spay her again. Brought our 11 year old girl in to see dr.meawad in November with a quickly growing mass. He got us In and surgery done within 2 days. Very respectful and doesnt push anything onto you. Provides alot of information and knowledge of what's going on and next steps to take, and allows you to make decisions from there. Surgical site healing beautifully and minimal scarring. Dr.Meawad does what he can to help with cost and providing families with tools needed. Our girl started having seizures this morning(boxing day) and he saw us right away and helped stabilize her with as minimal cost as possible. Where can I even begin?!! If it was not for all the wonderful doctors at Truscott my dog would have past away. My vet in my area refused to see Oreo since they were busy for the next month! So much more experiences with bad vets that don’t care about the animals. But, then my fiancé suggested we go to TRUSCOTT and it was the best decision I have ever made. THEY SAVED OREO’s LIFE! Oreo just had a few more hours to live but Dr. Medhat took action right away. All they cared about was taking care of my dog not just grabbing my money first. They always made sure to let us know of the costs in advance before doing anything. The prices here are affordable and way less than my previous vet and that’s because they understand that you can still own and love a pet without having thousands of dollars to save up for vet bills. There’s nothing I can say other than Dr. Medhat is an amazing vet and their staff is extremely friendly and cheerful!! We called because our 3 month old puppy had an upset stomach and we were worried about her. Vivian answered the phone and helped us through the whole process. She told us what to feed her, and to monitor her for the next 24 hours. She was fine for the first 24 hours, but then a couple hours later she wasn’t feeling good again, so when we called to let them know Vivian answered the phone and knew us right away. She told us to come and get her checked up, and to come back in next week for a check up. When we went for the checkup, we let them know that our puppy ate a hair tie about 27 hours prior, and they shifted their full focus onto her. They let us know that usually it takes a couple hours for these things to digest and go to the organs, and because she’s still young, the hair tie may not pass so easily, so she might need a surgery that costs around $2.5K. Instead of running straight to the negatives and giving her the surgery, the doctor suggested that we try to induce vomiting and get it out that way although it cannot be determined that it’ll work. So we tried it, and it worked!! They easily could have said we need the surgery and gotten $2.5K, but they care more about the patients and their well being, than money. This vet truly feels like family!! Vivian and Dr. Medhat are miracle workers, we can’t imagine going to another vet, and we don’t trust anyone else with our pet the way we trust them!!

My cockatiel was on the verge of losing his leg due to a thick aluminum tag that he had from his breeder. The leg became swollen to a point where he was unable to stand on it. He would constantly keep it raised. We came to this animal hospital to have it removed. They did not have the tools as this type of tag was not regular procedure. They were with us for over three hours, tried everything they could, and tried to make calls to any other vet clinic or animal hospital that could get the tag removed. Eventually, they brought in someone who had an expertise in tools, and had a tool that could remove the tag. Even after all of this, they only charged us the price of a regular visit. These are people who genuinely care about animals. They care about the well being of your pet above anything else. I would recommend this animal hospital to everyone and anyone with a pet.

From fitting us in with our emergency situation last minute to the care, compassion and dedication we received from every team member. Today is the civic holiday in August.
