Dr. Kadri is very friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Our cat got really sick last year and he helped us through all of it. The staff is very friendly as well. I highly recommend this small veterinarian clinic! Note: only 2 spots by the side of the clinic and if you park during work hours across the street, someone will complain!

This is a clean facility with kind and friendly office staff and a warm and friendly vet who obviously cares about animals quite a bit - the reason I am giving two stars instead of the five that many loyal clients have is because unfortunately in my case the quality of veterinary care my pet received just did not measure up. I brought my cat in to inquire about dental work, and during a routine physical exam Dr. Kadri discovered a mass in my cat's abdomen. Based on how it felt, and the fact that my previous vet had not noticed it during a checkup six months prior, he diagnosed it as a rapidly progressing cancer and advised me not to invest any more finances into my cat's care beyond keeping him comfortable for the few short weeks or months he expected him to live. He prescribed me antibiotics for my cat's teeth, and to his credit did not charge me when I brought my cat in at his request for another physical examination to monitor the mass. The problem is that my cat continued to live without any obvious signs of discomfort (other than his poor teeth) for upwards of two years - during which time Dr. Kadri observed that the mass was actually shrinking, but never once suggested that it may not be cancerous after all or that, to properly care for my cat, this issue might be explored further. A few months ago, my cat suffered what Dr. Kadri believes was a minor seizure - however, Dr. Kadri's solution was to prescribe such a high dose of anti-seizure medication that my poor cat could not walk properly, was falling over into his food bowl, and wet himself in his sleep. Dr. Kadri advised that I halve the dosage, which I did - although the problems persisted and I discontinued the medication after a few days. I am left wondering how it is possible for a veterinary professional to prescribe what was obviously such a grossly inappropriate dosage of medication. Despite what I still firmly believe to be the vet's best intentions, my confidence in his ability to care for my cat was diminished and I ended up trying another clinic. The renal carcinoma diagnosis that Dr. Kadri stood by for two years turned out to be cysts on the kidneys. This took two appointments and one ultrasound to diagnose. At this point, prolonged pressure had damaged one of the kidneys. I wonder if perhaps something could have been done differently had this been explored at the beginning. At the very least, had my cat received proper dental work that I was advised against years ago he would have enjoyed an even better quality of life up until the end. In conclusion - if your pet is healthy and only needs routine vaccinations and check ups this is an excellent clinic that will provide you with excellent care. However, if you are in the position I was in caring for a pet with chronic illnesses, please go with your gut and if something doesn't seem right don't be afraid to seek out a second veterinary opinion. Whatever vet you choose, make sure your pet's treatment plan is based on more than good intentions and an educated guess.

My cat had an emergency surgery in late October last year, and in the recovering process, he started experiencing very intense diarrhea, which made me very concerned. At that time, I was taking my cat to another vet, who didn't even answer the phone in the time of need. Thankfully, after some research, I found Dr Kadri's hospital, and after reading so many positive reviews, decided to call and take my cat there. Right from the first time they answered the phone, I felt welcome and felt that they really cared about animals, which was a relief in that time of stress. They booked the appointment for that weekend and when I got there, they immediately took my cat and I to an examination room, which was great, because my cat stresses out easily when he is around strange people or other animals. They performed routine procedures, like weight and hydration levels. Shortly after, the doctor came in and asked about my cat, the reason of the surgery and how he was doing post-surgery, after I explained to him that he was having severe diarrhea, he immediately asked me if he was on a special diet (since the surgery was to my cat's digestive tracks). Unfortunately, he wasn't, he was having his regular food, that was of course too strong for his sensitive belly at the moment. To make sure, Dr. Kadri performed an exam on my cat, which was rather uncomfortable for him (but had to be done) and then diagnosed him with irritation due to his food being too strong. This part is kind of an anecdote, because the doctor was performing the exam, and I think I was much more stressed than my cat, which was reflected in my poor handling of the situation, since I kind of got on the way and my cat bit me so hard, that I was bleeding so much and ended up taking antibiotics for like a week. When that happened, the doctor finished the exam end proceeded to clean my wound and apply some antiseptic (Sorry Dr Kadri!). Anyways, the doctor took really good care of my cat (and me), sent us home with new food and antibiotics for my cat, explained to me how to give the pills to my cat and asked to come again one week later to see the progress. Now my cat is back to normal and, as per the doctor's instructions, we are focusing on controlling the Totoro's weight. Thank you Dr Kadri and all the staff at Richmond Hill Animal Hospital!

I don't usually review businesses online, but I was so surprised to read the negative review below that I decided to share my story which is about my positive experience when getting a similar procedure for my dog. I have a 10 year old pug named Charlotte, who developed really bad breath earlier this year. I tried everything to get rid of it, but when I went into see Dr. Kadri I discovered she needed a couple of extractions. From my line of work, I know that quality veterinary care is expensive and I was pretty worried about what the procedure might cost. Understanding my reservations about price, I was encouraged to call around and get other quotes. Even after investigating the costs at various clinics that also had high review ratings, I still saved nearly $300 overall on the lowest price elsewhere, making it well worth my drive north from downtown. Further to this, once at Richmond Hill Animal Hospital everything was clearly explained to me, as well as the possibility of any additional cost that I might incur in case of emergency (which I was glad to know about in advance of moving ahead with Charlotte's surgery). Since everything went smoothly, there were no additional fees charged. I was also incredibly nervous about the operation, since my pug is a bit older and I knew that complications could be something we'd have to deal with. Dr. Kadri was amazing at keeping me informed every step of the way, which worked to sooth some of my anxiety. He personally called me at multiple times throughout the process to keep my in the loop, which is something I have not had happen before, but really appreciated. After the surgery I noticed a dramatic change in Charlotte. She was like a wiggly, bouncing puppy again. I now suspect that her teeth may have caused her great discomfort and once they were extracted she was back to her younger self again. This made me feel like I made the right choice in going ahead with the surgery. We had a really nice check-up after the procedure, at which point I decided we would definitely be back to see Dr. Kadri for future appointments. Again, I'm super surprised to read the review below, but considering the reviewer is publicly attempting to extort this hospital in order to have it taken down, I suppose it should not to be taken very seriously. I just thought it seemed wrong to stay quiet about it since from my personal experience I can verify that it is 100% untrue. I love when the vet and vet assistants converse with the animals, it shows they actually like and care about animals. Also love the fact they have free roaming cats in the office, yet another indicator of how much they care.

I've been taking my cat to Dr Kadri for over a year now and every visit I've come in for, I've been treated like family. Jill, the receptionist, is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I was so surprised when my dog Mimi (who has anxiety and doesn't like strangers) was so calm and trusted the doctor! I'm not sure which doctor it was that helped us but it was the first time she was able to actually relax and not freak out when a stranger was near her, and keep in mind he was examining her and performing tests on her also! Planning on bringing her back and always will!! The staff are just so passionate and caring I think that the animals are able to sense that :)

Dr. Kadri is an amazing doctor. Not only does he have my dogs best interest at heart, but he also has my best interest. My dog Coco is very nervous and does not like other animals or people, whenever I bring her to the vet she is so happy to be there and the last time she actually jumped into the doctors arms for a snuggle (totally unheard of for Coco)! He always gives me quotes before proceeding with any procedure to make sure I am ok with the cost. I like that approach because it allows me to make the best decision for my dogs and wallet. The clinic was recently beautifully renovated and all new equipment installed. I know that when I take my dogs to the Richmond Hill Animal Hospital they are getting the best care for a fair price. I would recommend this vet to anyone.

The receptionist, Anna, was unprofessional in responding to an inquiry and was unhelpful. I've reached out to ask about an estimate to care for a kitten with gastrointestinal issues, which I am looking to adopt from the Toronto Humane Society. I've asked if I can pass along the medical disclosure summary to get a rough budget of the costs for caring for this kitten which THS recommended. I had a cat who I raised from a kitten with my family prior to moving out. I was fortunate enough that it was relatively healthy from the start. The response I got from Anna was that I needed to bring the kitten in for paid examination despite my explanation that I have yet to adopt the kitten. I tried to unsuccessfully explain that I was concerned about the costs in the event that I cannot afford the supplements and medications, where I may have to turn down the adoption so that the kitten may have a better life. And that I was asking for a rough estimate, specifically for stool softeners that are not readily quoted through pet stores. I asked if there were any technicians or vets that could review the disclosure and give an estimate but Anna responded that they were too busy to look at a document without the guarantee of a paid examination. I am very disappointed to see such a highly rated veterinarian clinic with such unprofessional service with a receptionist. My old vet in North York had no problems reviewing and providing some help but they are just too far away. I had just moved into the area and was looking for a new home vet and clinic but this experience made me look elsewhere.

My dog CC never feels his needles and I was happy he recently got a mild sedative for xrays, blood tests and his infected ear cleaned, so he never felt a thing. After so many different vet clinics & doctors who only care about the money rather than the pets... when I've found this clinic, I stopped looking for anyone else. Ever since then I've been treating both of my dogs there and I am more than HAPPY with the services. Dr Kadri & his staff are super nice, experienced and know what they are doing. Although, some people been complaining here that they charge a lot need to understand that, they also need to live of off something & they are worth each and every penny they charge their clients. No clinic is cheap & if they are, you better be careful because no doctor or vet studied so much & know so much to end up working for free or barely make any money. We chose to get pets and we all know what it is to be sick & pay a lot of money for medication but they are as important as any person in this world & if you have to pay a lot of money for medication, either get insurance that will help pay your bills or stop complaining. You chose to have a pet so take care of it until the end! There are times where I can't afford my pets bills and need to go into a debt for that week, but that's life. So stop complaining about the clinic charging a lot, think how you'd feel if you were sick & had to pay for your own expensive medications. Unfortunately, my dogs had many problems since they were born with theit weak stomach, skin etc.. but EVERY TIME Dr. Kadri finds a way to treat it and in many cases saved me A LOT OF MONEY by not prescribing medication and suggested a natural solution. And each time my dog was cured (thank god). This clinic is the best, they are there to HELP your pets but also very understanding of each and every client's situation. We love you guys as much as Spike & Bella love their visits at your clinic!!!

Having a first pet is stressful, but luckily Dr. Kadri made it easier with the guidance, advice & care he provide to take good care of my baby Gucci. I did my homework before choosing a vet; I interviewed some, to find the right one for my puppy & Dr Kadri was the one. He’s helpful, professional & honest. He loves his job & adores pets. He performed the surgery neutering my puppy, it was perfectly done by laser with only two stitches, my baby had no pain and/or any after surgery complications. I always heard stories about surgeries went wrong but no, not with Dr Kadri, he is experienced, knows what he’s doing & he’s there when you need him or have any question. I have been bringing my dog here for 1.5 years and have not met the vet once. Due to covid restrictions they do not allow clients in the office which to some degree i understand but from my understanding no other offices operate on this matter. Every time i have come here they take my dog in for less than five minutes and emerge with a very expensive invoice which thus far i have not questioned once. If i have questions from the vet he speaks to me on the phone and tries to answer it in less than 60 seconds and brushes me off. I am travelling abroad with my dog and brought her in for a rabies certificate. They send me out with a certificate the vet did not even bother to look at and sign. I came to get it endorsed at the CFIA and they said they need the vets signature. They called the office and were told there would be no vet in the clinic till noon. So i had to wait over 3 hours at the CFIA office. They charged me $140 for a health certificate, which the doctor did not even bother looking through and signing. When i called them they continued to tell me there is nothing they can do. I have not seen an office that is so careless towards their patients. I have put up with never meeting my dog’s vet, having her seen by a different doctor every single appointment, but this to me was the last time at this office. I made a mistake trusting this office with my dog since neither one of the doctors actually care about what they do and just want to complete the appointments in the shortest time possible and charge their fee.

Meeko (my puppy) and I, had the pleasure of meeting the Richmond Hill Animal Hospital team; Doctor Ibrahim and Kadri were so incredibly professional, genuine and thorough with their care and assessment of Meeko. I initially had Meeko assessed by Dr. P from Tower Hill-Bathurst Animal Hospital: my experience was not pleasant there.. Meeko's assessment took just about 7 minutes, and the charges were questionably hefty - whereas when assessed by Dr. Ibrahim (Richmond Hill Animal Hospital), Meeko's assessment took between 45 minutes to an hour. Kayla (the receptionist/technician) was so helpful and instructive regarding my questions and concerns of raising a new puppy. As well, Zoey (the receptionist/technician) took the time to demonstrate (on Meeko) how to properly cut his black nails. I recommend Richmond Hill Animal Hospital - because of the fact that the team, unlike other vets, is NOT solely after money; rather they provide genuine, quality, and professional service. Thank you Doctor Ibrahim and Kadri, and team! We look forward to our future visits.

Terrible vet with no heart or care towards animals or there customers !! U r all just a dollar sign to them !!! I found this out when my small pomeranian got out of my backyard and my gf called around to see if anyone called animal hospitals saying they found a dog !! She hit the jackpot when she called Rh animal hospital !! They told her a lady called in saying they found out dog:) They got the lady to bring the dog into there office which I found funny and didn't understand why they wouldn't just her our number so she could bring him home ?? But at that time we were just happy he was safe so we started walking to the vets to pick him up. (we don't drive) so we walked which took us about 45 minutes cause that's how long it took, only to get there and he told we have to pay a 15$ boarding fee cause it took us almost an hour to get there???? I was in shock!! I told the vet that I did not bring any money with me for a wasn't told I had to pay for them to hold onto a lost dog for 45 minutes !! Which at this point the vet became upset and became really rude and shoved my little pomeranian who has arthitis mind u right into my chest and told me he can't do this again ..... I was confused on what he ment cause that was the first time we ever stepped foot in there ??? If u want ur dogs to be looked after by people who actually care about animals and there clients ! THIS IS DEF NOT THE PLACE TO GO!!!! And I will never bring nor refer anyone to this animal hospital !!!! Ur only a dollar sign to them (not family ) as they say on there website !!! Lol

As a member of a dog rescue I work with veterinarians throughout Southern Ontario and a number of the United States ~ without a doubt Dr. Kadri is in a class all his own. I often say I wish we could clone him and have a Dr. Kadri in every town where we have foster homes. Every member of the clinic is compassionate, caring, and professional and they do their utmost to help each and every dog and cat that enters their doors. Dr. Kadri has such a way with the animals and his instincts are always right on when it comes to diagnosis and treatment. He is extremely generous with his time and care of the rescue animals and I feel it is important for the community to know how much Dr. Kadri, Gillian, Jill, and Kristen do to help the rescue community. We love Dr Kadri. We adopted our Edward (a cat) from him and he has taken such good care of him (and us). In fact, Dr Kadri's office gave Edward his name and it really suits him! This past week, Edward had his physical and seemed to be upset about being touched on his lower back so he hissed and tried to bite (not his usual behaviour). Dr Kadri spoke to him in a gentle tone and scratched his head and didn't leave until Edward was calm and content. As we were leaving, his staff came over and said goodbye to Edward. We are blessed to have such a great doctor with great staff to care for our fur-baby.

Dr kadri was a very helpful vet for my dog who had a very bad issue. He also did a well job of giving many medicine for my rottweiler dog and now he is better. I also have a question if you can do surgery for bunnies?

We were lucky enough to meet Dr. Kadri in 2006 after a series of unfortunate encounters with several other vets. Until that time, many of the doctors our dogs had seen would jump to the worse, and most costly, solution for any ailment they had and in many cases, did more harm than good, to the point where our dogs had severe anxiety over going to any clinic to see any doctor. And then one day, we met Dr. Kadri and all of that changed - he was caring, patient and understanding, and most of all, our dogs loved him. Deciding to have him as our "familly doctor" was easily the smartest choice we ever made as pet owners. No matter which location Dr. Kadri worked at, we stayed with him exclusively as he showed nothing but love, respect and compassion for all of our dogs, no matter what illness they walked through the door with. We have relied on his care for anything from broken nails to cancer, skin disorders to cherry eye surgeries, allergies to neutering, and when our dogs had puppies, Dr. Kadri was there every step of the way ensuring that everything would go well not only for us, but especially for our dogs and their puppies. I would highly recommend Dr. Kadri's services and expertise to anyone looking for a vet for their pets - Dr. Kadri has followed our dogs for close to 8 years now, and has become an extended member of our family. As pet owners, nothing is more important than knowing that no matter what happens and no matter what goes wrong, our dogs will always have the best care under his watch.

To say the least, Dr. Kadri is a Phenomenal doctor and his medical team are exemplary! I brought my dog, Canela, who suffers from epilepsy, in a critical condition. We had given up hope, having been turned away from other clinics or given grim diagnoses. But the doctor and the nurses welcomed me and Canela with open arms and devoted their hearts and experience for a solid hour and a half to treat Canela and figure out the best long-term treatment plan for her. They reacted swiftly, demonstrating impeccable knowledge and practice, to handle one of Canela's seizures that occurred during our visit. The doctor gave me several options for treatments, keeping in mind the financial aspect, which is so thoughtful as well! The next day, the doctor called me and my mom SEPARATELY to explain the test results he run for Canela and to plan our next steps. In other words, me and Canela have never been treated with so much care, support and professionalism the way Dr. Kadri and his medical team treat us. He saved Canela, and now she is happy and healthier more than ever before! My deeply heartfelt thank you, Dr. Kadri and his outstanding team! You are sent from above!

Dr. Kadri has been my vet for over 8 years now and I think he is the best in the business. I have nothing but good things to say about him and all that he has done for my 8 year old Yorkshire Terrier. He has never steered us wrong and we have been through several emergency situations. He successfully diagnosed my dogs specific allergies which prior to his diagnosis resulted in severe stomach issues, weight loss and hospitalization. He is always professional, kind and courteous and extremely knowledgeable. He truly cares for the animals but just as much for the owners. He is practical and logical in his approach and does not try to up sell or over charge like so many other veterinarians do. He goes over and above the call of duty and often calls to follow up on his patients after visits to the clinic. I can recall many situations where my wife and I have called him in a state of panic and he actually returned our calls after hours and once even when he was on vacation out of concern for our dog. In my experience it is rare to come across such practitioners and it is why myself and several of his clients have followed Dr. Kadri to where ever he is practicing for both checkups and dental needs for our pets. I have referred Dr. Kadri to several friends who were dissatisfied with their veterinarians and where looking for someone new. They have all thanked me for the referral and like myself continue to be long term clients as well. I believe the accolades that he and his Team have acquired speak for themselves and I want to thank Dr. Kadri and the Team for all of their continued hardwork and dedication to their clients.

After a visit for routine shots and a groom to the Vet clinic I noticed something wrong with his eye. Three days later he still had an inflamed, red, closed eye. I brought him back to Dr. Kadri, he looked at him and diagnosed him with feline Herpies of the eye. I did some research and learned that it is contagious and is caught from another animal. I started expensive treatments on a regular basis which included shots at the clinic and a vitamin C drop "immune booster" that I gave at home. I started to questioning why there was no improvement. I question the amount of money I was spending... The "sitting fee" even though I was receiving services for the same issue, he would still charge me that fee?! I asked to be given the RX to purchase myself as this was also getting quite expensive - he said that i could have it if i bought it from him. I said how can you want to help if all your worried about is money that I've run out of treating something thats not getting better?! Dr Kadri did not like that very much and we began raising our voices at each other in the clinic. I have a right to knowledge and education into my animals health, this diagnosis seemed inaccurate. I started questioning and doubting the diagnosis after months of expensive treatments with no improvement. I took him to another Vet Clinic... my cat was there diagnosed with an Ulcer of the eye caused by a physical scratch, and not Herpies disease ( which I might add... came from after that visit mentioned above at the office!!) there is nothing at this time I can do to fix it. His eye has since become discoloured and foggy. I am relieved to now know exactly whats wrong with my cat now. Vets take advantage or pet owners... because they realize these pets are "our family" we will listen and do anything to help them. DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE.

My boyfriend and I picked up a puppy from the outskirts of Toronto, we are from Halifax. We were a little concerned about our new little one and not knowing anything about the city I did a simple google search for the closest clinic to our hotel. I am so glad that we went to this clinic.
