The entire staff is so kind and professional, and Dr.H is very thorough with her explanations. She discusses things in a way that makes sense to pet owners who may not have as much veterinary medicine knowledge. As new clients, we're very impressed with everyone at the clinic and look forward to bringing our furbies back again. (The furbies: maybe not so much, but a promisive treat will sweeten the deal)

We love the imperial road animal hospital. They take amazing care of our kitty every time we bring her in. Because of Covid, you aren’t allowed to go inside any vet clinic with your pet. What’s great about IRAH is that they give you a tablet so that you can watch the entire appointment from your car and chat with the vet while they do their exam. It’s so nice being able to converse with the vet as they see your pet, and honestly it’s just a lot more reassuring being able to actually watch the entire visit. I really dislike having to hand my fur baby over and not really know what’s happening behind closed doors. At IRAH you don’t have to worry about it. The vets and vet techs are all very knowledgeable and friendly. We love Dr.Mandy! She has been so amazing every time. Would definitely recommend this clinic for all your fur baby’s needs (:

Unfortunately we had to put down our very dog, at this vet they very caring and understanding. I would highly recommend the Imperial Road Animal hospital. The other vet wanted to charge us for an examination although her quality of life was clearly gone, her back legs no longer worked and there was nothing that could be done to fix her legs. 5 star recommendation for sure!!!

Vets are good but the young blond girl at the front reception is a miserable, uncaring, unpleasant person to have greeting the clients. She has the people skills of a rock. Couldn't care less about your pet. Needs to understand the concept of compassion. I'm taking my business and my money elsewhere.

I'm gonna start out by saying I love the people who work here, I love how much they care about my dogs, and I love that they will always make time to see us. The people here truly love animals and it shows. They offer amazing prices and can tackle any issue with everything from a kitten to a horse. They also have a 24 hr response line that will put you in touch with an on-call vet for emergencies to discuss your issue. If you are in the London, Aylmer, St Thomas, or Tillsonburg area I highly recommend this clinic for your pets.

HUMAN & CAT TRAUMATIZED ASK ABOUT SIDE EFFECTS TO YOUR PETS before getting shots or medicine!![- even rare side effects]The service would have been great in that case because the vets are very friendly.. but the costs when our cat got sick after her vaccines were disgusting for not even finding what was wrong-stating a reaction to the vaccine is impossible [aka, nothing is impossible]. Also, during one of our check ups the vet or assistant was clipping our cat's nails and were trying to go fast and clipped our cat's cuticle/toe. UPDATE: Our cat is traumatized from the vet clipping her toe and years later still cannot clip her nails unless you hold her down or burrito her. And she had another adverse reaction- vomiting, not eating after her vaccine again this summer. UPDATE: After bringing the cat into the vet again, they confronted and demanded I take the review down. Changed it from 3 stars to 1 star. Thanks for not being better and accepting a critique.

This was my first time here. I took my puppy Moose for his first check up.The entire staff was so nice and friendly. They made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. They gave Moose a needle and a thorough examination and he didn't even know. He and I love them and would highly recommend them.

To start off, I am not a client of Imperial animal hospital. I called in need of urgent help regarding my very sick cat. My vet could not see us and her health was declining quickly. I called and they got us in that morning. They were so nice on the phone, and the only place that would see us ASAP. Although my sweetheart had to be put down, they were absolutely amazing and so caring. I can't thank you guys enough for your help and kindness through such a difficult time. RIP Houdini

I've been meaning to give this review for a while. On December 3rd We unexpectedly had to put our beloved Shih Tzu Cherokee down. We knew we were going to be devastated when we eventually lost her but not this devastated. We were so impressed by Dr. Mandy Wiltsie-Thoonen and her staff. They all new Cherokee well. The care and compassion they exhibited was above and beyond. With an equal blend of sympathy and empathy Dr. Mandy euthanized Cherokee whose final minutes we're relaxed. & dignified. When your veterinarian tears up you know you've come to the right place. As I was walking back to the car with my wife and daughter we unanimously agreed that if there are no dogs in heaven we want to go where the dogs go.

Took the dog in for her first vet visit in many years, she’s generally healthy but had a recent issue with her leg. We were able to get an appointment in a very reasonable amount of time. The clinic is beautiful and very clean. The tech and the doctor were both very kind and patient. We didn’t feel any judgement for not being regular vet-goers, and the doctor and tech that we saw were very good at giving recommendations and explaining everything. This is definitely going to be our regular clinic!

I brought my 100lb American Bulldog to this vet for a check-up because we had recently moved to the area as I wanted to discuss some of his chronic skin issues due to his breed. Dr. Amanda Wiltsie Thoonen was fear mongering and rude regarding our well educated choice to feed raw since he was 3 months old. We waiting for 40mins to see the vet and once we did she essentially blamed us for his ear/skin/stool problems even though it is well documented that this breed is extra sensitive and often has these specific problems. I will never take any of my animals here again. I will continue to drive the 2+ hours to take him to our kind, supportive vet in Toronto because our boy deserves the best.

Secretary is rude, and unfriendly. Lots of hidden cost, they do not give you quotes up front, or what quote they do give is inaccurate. I was expecting a bill of $350-400 with tax, which turned into $555. Charging way too much! They should have a list of prices for clients to see upfront. So you are not floored when you go to leave.
