I have been taking my Siamese cat to Gorham Animal Hospital since he was 12 weeks old. They have been amazing with him and always provided great service and care. They are very knowledgeable and are always available to answer any questions you may have. I would highly recommend this vet to care for your cat or dog.

Amazing animal hospital. They have amazing staff who truly care about the animals and their owners. They treat the animals with respect and try to make the experience as good as possible for them (lots of treats as rewards, trying to limit the animals fear, etc). The clinic also helps support a charity/ organization that help owners care for their animals if they are unable to afford the bills (applications required to apply for it) by raising money each year. They go above and beyond to help clients with their pets. I put my cat down early November (during covid and restrictions- not letting the clients in with pets, except for euthanasias) and because it was nice out they brought out a table for us to use so that my whole family could be present (and not just 1 or 2 inside) to say goodbye to our baby. They made clay paw prints for us at no cost, as a memory. They also sent a card in the mail with condolences. In honour of my pet passing they also made a donation in his name to OVA Guelph university to help fund research into medical advances for pets. They really do care about the pets and their owners well being. They make sure to have a rapport with everyone, and make an effort to really get to know everyone. Amazing animal hospital.

Recommended for service excellence. The animal hospital staff delivered more service than I expected, calling once a day to check on our success pilling our cat, and giving us excellent tips over the phone, until we had regular success. They also offered to look at weekly pictures of our cat to observe for signs of improvement. On top of that, they surprised us with a Christmas picture of our kitty that they took while she was there for her visit, and surprise emailed it to us. Sweet.

They may know their stuff but the vet is unreliable, and push their food when it needn't be done, except to make them extra money. This is the only vet that makes my dog uncomfortable and aggressive. I won't go back and do not recommend.

I love Gorham Animal hospital. I’ve always received amazing professional care for all my animals. I can call the office anytime of the day and they will fit me in at my convenience, even in a emergency. Our past dogs have passed away but, Sheri and her staff always took amazing loving care of both Chanel & Mowgli. “Now just recently we have a new puppy”(Scarlett) she is part of my family, we are super delighted to welcome Scarlett. Due to Covid Scarlett has to been seen with me outside waiting. I have complete trust with Sheri and her staff that they will take excellent care of my little fur baby with lots of cuddles and love. One more thing, all the Vet Techs are super loving and friendly when they come out to my vehicle to bring my Scarlett in for her appointment. 100 happy fur baby Mom. :)

I had a very bad experience with Dr. Sime and found her to be very abrasive and judgmental. She seemed to be very keen to push antibiotics for an issue that turned out to be dietary. I was not impressed with the standard of care or the medicine practiced at this facility and would neither recommend them or return after my experience.

I have always had a great experience here. They saved my dogs life when she was choking & thank god I lived only a minute away. But if it weren't for them taking her in their arms within seconds of me arriving she wouldn't have made it. And for that I will always appreciate this veterinary clinic. I registered my 10 week old pug puppy Lola with this vet as my family dogs also went here growing up. The vet was great with Lola and spent a lot of time before and after the appointment answering the long list of questions I had. She gave us a timeline of all of her puppy shots and when I called to book the next appointment they checked in on if she had reactions to any of the shots/nexguard tablet given to her. I feel confident bringing Lola to Gorham Animal Hospital! :)

We recently lost our 3 YO GSD to a fungal lung disease, there was nothing anyone could do as he was dying before our eyes. I received in the mail a letter from the University of Guelph indicating that Gorham Animal Clinic had made a donation in our dog's name which I found to be a very caring gesture. I had a wonderful experience here. I dropped off my dog as soon as they opened the door and picked him up when they were closing the clinic. He was in for the whole day. The staff played with him and fed him and the doctor checked him and took a long time to explain everything she thought we needed to know. She never made us purchase any of the items they carry. We had a rather urgent matter and we got an appointment right away. We were concerned about how our cat would handle the visit as she is not good with strangers but she did absolutely great. Our options were given to us with an estimate which made it much easier to decide on the course of action. Everyone at Gorham Animal Hospital are there to help and are great to deal with. They know how to make a pet comfortable in new surroundings. Our cat is now on the road to recovery and once again a happy cat!

Wow! I went to Gorham Animal Hospital based on the reviews and definitely regret my decision. NEVER trust reviews you read. Dr. Sheri is the rudest vet doc I have encountered. Never did I once feel she was genuine. She quoted me $1000+ for an ultrasound for my small dog. Instead I got a second opinion about the condition that my dog was in from an internal medicine SPECIALIST. Where I did a consult, ultrasound and x rays for less than $1000. I called Gorham Animal hospital to get sub fluids which she had previously told me I can pick up anytime I run out doesn’t need a prescription. ( I had the kit already) I wanted to give my dog sub fluids before his surgery date. She refused to let me buy the sub fluids and told me she needed a report from the specialist. She was angry I didn’t spend the money at her clinic it was obvious. Unacceptable Will not return.

Dr. Sime and staff were extremely helpful and accommodating in the last moments of our dogs life. We felt we were all in good hands while making a difficult decision. At no point did we feel pressured to do any medical intervention. Dr. Sime explained everything thoroughly. She obviously loves what she does. When it's time for another pup there is no one else I'd rather have look after them.

Dr. Sheri takes things personal when asked questions which is extremely unprofessional for a doctor. On 2 different occasions she expressed that maybe they weren't the vet for me. She's rude and so is her staff. I would not recommend Gorham Animal Hospital. She has no sympathy at all only cares about her own EGO. Took over 2 weeks just to review my dog's bloodwork results and that was with me following 3 times. Good news is there are great vet's in the area and our dog will get the best care.

My wife requested my dogs file to be sent to us as she stated we would not be returning. Gorham animal hospital sent the file which contained FALSE INFORMATION. She took it personal which is extremely unprofessional for a doctor as this is about my DOGS HEALTH. We paid everytime she went to GORHAM animal hospital. Money was never an issue the issue was about her overcharging and when confronted she was extremely rude. She has no sympathy at all. My dog was DYING. My wife has always been respectful towards her as she understand people have bad days. But it seem everytime talking to DR SHERI it was a bad day. She failed to understand that it was never about me but my dog. If she understood that I wouldn't have to go independently about it. We felt helpless so I made the best decision to take him to a specialist that specializes in cases like my dogs every day. Instead of putting her energy trying to explain herself she should put that energy towards the animals. I do not want anyone to go through what we just went through. ANYWAYS GOOD NEWS My dog had his surgery at TORONTO VETERINARY EMERGENCY HOSPITAL. I COULDN’T BE HAPPIER with my choice and highly recommend them. The staff has been amazing , informative and they are all extremely passionate towards animals.
