This Veterinarian corresponds to the category of Animal hospital.
Great veterinary care that's reasonably priced. I didn't feel like I was being upsold on unnecessary things like the last vet I took my pets to.
Super friendly staff, very covid conscious
I enjoy this place, and my cat enjoys this place too! If I am away for an extended period of time, I'll leave him in their care at the kitty condos. When I pick him up, he isn't too clingy afterwards (as he would be if I left him home alone) he retains his good mannerisms, so I know he is given plenty of attention.
We've stopped by a few times to pick up hypoallergenic food and ear solutions that our old vet didn't keep in stock. Even though we haven't brought in our dogs for anything yet, they still have a file and are keeping track of our needs. We'll definitely be coming here when our dogs have medical needs next.
This place is amazing, shows you how to administer medication to your animal and makes sure you are comfortable doing it. Very nice.
Theresa was really good with our cat; she easily gave our kitty the shots and clipped her nails and did a thorough inspection of her teeth, gums, and overall health.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend for anyone needing a place to take their cats and dogs.
Dr. Chu is great to my two cats. She is knowledgeable and one of the hardest working people I have met! She will always take my phone calls if I have questions or concerns and is willing to help you out. She is straightforward and honest and does not sugar coat the truth and I like that about her! It helps that she doesn't over charge either.
Very honest and fairly priced services
If I could give a 0 I would.... NEVER USE ALL ABOUT CATS AND DOGS vet clinic!!! I sit here in tear as I found out my old sweet Buddy has Diabetes that was awful enough to find out and will be hard enough for me to deal with/process for one day, but I had to find this out AFTER I got an earful from the vet about how horrible of a pet owner I am?! I don't take my cats to the vet regularly they are inside cats old and happy to sleep around all day if they are fine and happy we do not have yearly vet visit, if my cats are sick or I think they are sick they are at the vet ASAP hence the reason I took him in I was concerned, Buddy is fat he has always been fat but has always been fine and healthy! Should I have put him on a diet probably but due to the craziness of life I did not... I get into the place and the vet comes in and after asking me a few questions like is he up to date of shots ect ect she proceeded to tell me how horrible of a pet owner I am and it is her duty to tell me.... she compared it to me having a 300 pound 12 year old child and that she would get child protective services to take this child away from me.... I was in shock total shock after telling her that she was being rude and I take very good care of my animals she just kept going and going and going I had to pay her $400 for my visit today I walk out with hurt feelings and a cat with diabetes and do not know how to treat him so I need to book another appt with another vet to learn how to deal with his disease
In it strickly for the money. Do not care about your pets!
My dog really loved the vet and she was attentive, informative and good with him. Love the hours too.
Dr Chu is very good with our pets and always listens to our concerns. With 3 pets and some unfortunate health problems in the last couple years she's helped us a lot. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
I wouldn't recommend Dr. Chu. She seems to know what she is doing, but her communication needs a lot of work. She doesn't fully communicate what needs to happen or appropriately follow-up. I always left feeling judged and confused. Your milage may vary
No real compassion for extremely sick cats.
Pretty good service. Poor communication between reception staff and veterinarians. That's why they lost a star.
Never heard back after trying to schedule an appointment in person. I was told that I would be notified "after they found my file" but I'm still waiting for this call. It looks like this transition to Cumberland might not be going so well and we may have to look at getting our dogs looked after elsewhere.
Probably the least compassionate and caring vet I've ever had to use. I needed a vet during later hours in the afternoon and you were all that was open. I regret every penny you got from me. When people are worried about their pet the last thing they want to feel is a vet criticizing them.
Great vet care. My cat loved it.
We have a chronically ill cat, and we used to take him to Dr. Chu regularly. She was kinda rough with him and quite rude to us so we quit taking him there and started seeing another vet.
Do Not Recommend! The vet was extremely condescending on the phone and in person, ive only had bad experiences here. Severly lacking any empathy, dont waste your time or money here.
Dr.Chu is amazing with our fur babies.
Dr. Chu is passionate and kind. I took my cat there for the vaccinations, surgery and emergency visits. She is super efficient and always bill reasonably.
Dr. Chu is condescending, rude and shows no empathy whatsoever. She and her assistant were very rough with our dog who suffers from anxiety and her stress increased drastically as the exam progressed. I’ve never seen her that upset. She yelled and cried when Dr. Chu handled her. She then told us that our dog was overreacting. We asked several questions which she dismissed and our appointment was over before she properly examined our dog. We will not be returning.
receptionist was really rude to me on the phone
Have had wonderful experiences here with cats and a dog. The vet on staff is wonderful and she always gets an answer to my crazy pet owner questions. Am comfortable and confident taking my animals here!
Great vet! Efficient, fair prices and really good with my big dog Kodi. Staff are all friendly and knowledgeable as well.
Rajah was well taken care of as well as all our other furbabies we brought in.
Great veterinary care and wonderful staff.
If you change hours or close, update your website. Apparently they’re closed until June 6th?? Or forever? Who knows. I tried calling from opening hours listed on their website and just got a voicemail about after-hours emergencies. Trying later, the voicemail eventually mentioned they open at 9am currently, but after 9am I still got the same after-hours recording. Tried today and still got the same recording saying it’s after hours. Please update your website if you are changing opening times, or fix your phone system. I was calling yesterday for an emergency, and today to get my dog’s files to move to a new vet. This is extremely poor communication, especially when you have a website where these things could be explained and noted so as to help customers know what’s happening. Still not sure if you’re even in business so hopefully I can reach someone eventually if it’s just that your phone system is broken. Very disappointing to not be able to contact the vet when the emergency you hope never comes actually arrives, and reflects poorly on the business if a customer can’t even figure out if you’re in business anymore or not from the messaging received.
Teresa & team at All About Cats & Dogs are passionate & professional about your pets health & often go beyond expectations! Your furry friend is not another number at this clinic, as they really do love animals & make an effort to build a relationships with the owner. They take time to provide the right advice at a very reasonable cost. All About Cats & Dogs is also highly involved with local animal rescue groups. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Love this vet! Been there for my two cats (shots and neutering) and a German Shepherd dog (shots). The services are great and the staff are very friendly. Dr. Chu is very helpful and informative. Would 10/10 recommend.
A very kinda and welcoming environment!
Great vet clinic
We love Dr. Chu and all the staff at All About Cats and Dogs! Our dog Winston had ear and eye problems and when we took him to see Dr. Chu she made him feel so at home. We had winstons issues sorted out and it turned out to be allergies. The service is so great that Winston knows when we turn the corner where we are going and he gets excited. Thank you to Dr. Chu and all the staff you have a lifelong client in us!
Rajah was well taken care of as well as all our other furbabies we brought in.
Terrible, impatient, unprofessional and utterly pathetic. That vet is a disgrace to the vetinary community. She was rude, wanted to rush through the appioment and not flexible. What kind of vet is not flexible and empathetic? Not all animals are fast learners or the same and others have their own unique personalities. Some are slower or in this case I went with a friend who brought in their pet, note that this animal came from a traumatic past and they got him as a rescue. He is the sweetest and a smart little guy but he is a slower learner and gets frightened quickly, I was very disappointed as to how they managed the situation and how unprofessional the vet was. I typically never write reviews online, even if the experience was terrible but in all honesty what my friend and I exprienced was utterly horrific. You may think that the vet is here to help your pets but I just think Dr Chu is here for a paycheck.
I had a very bad experience with Dr. Chu. We brought our puppy in, half hour to close and just needed a quick exam and likely some eye drops for our dog. She turned us away and told us they weren’t taking any more appointments. Not only that, but they were very rude and non empathetic. I will make sure to tell everyone NOT to go to that clinic. Awful!!!! If I could give it a 0 I would.
Was here to get a health exam and paperwork done for exporting a cat. Super helpful and very friendly. Dr. Gudelot and her team saved our day!
Best vet in Saskatoon.
Buy cat food there as cheaper than most places
Teresa is quick with her appointments, and puts up a good front with her customers, but treats her employees terribly. She has a quick temper, and I've witnessed her lose her calm and blow up at her employees (who are clearly new to this job) in front of customers. In the middle of speaking with me, she picked up a phone call mid sentence! She answers personal calls all evening and offers little to no assistance in the evenings.
Person answering phone told me I needed a groomer, not a vet. She didn't ask questions, she made assumptions. I felt that she was dismissive, condescending & lacking compassion. I was asked "well did you try calling your own vet?" She did try to be more pleasant in the last seconds of the call, however, it was too little, too late. I guess they don't need new patients, it would have been 5 cats in total, had I been impressed, & if they got my Max in Friday.
Seek Veterinary assistance from some one else. Dr. Chu's interpersonal skills are terrible. Her practice is seriously lacking compassion and empathy. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Absolutely love this vet! Teresa was very friendly and amazing with my cat! I’ve never felt so comfortable taking my pet to a vet as I do here. She is great with pets and I definitely recommend going here if you want a vet that truly cares about pets and is very informative as well as reasonably priced.
This has been my cat since I have had a pet and my cat loves the vet here
My dog loves going there. The people who work there are extra special and the Veterinarian you can tell just loves all pets!
Fantastic clinic with very professional caring staff. Have taken my dog here for a few years and get great care/service. Highly recommend.
Simply put, save your money and bring your pet to a vet that cares about their health, not just their own wallets.
I've been taking my dogs to Dr.Chu for 6 years now. I couldn't be happier! She never tries to push anything unnecessary and always has the dogs best interest in mind. I completely trust her opinion when it comes to my dogs! I also appreciate the fact she's involved with many rescue organizations.
Noticed I had left a bad review in the past. Correcting it now. The staff is awesome. the vet we see is great. My cats agree
This experience happened 7 years ago but it still bothers me so much I feel I should write about it. My hubby was biking with our dog on a leash, she ran in front and he hit her. She had an abrasion on her leg. Hubby took our dog to Dr Chu, there she said she had no time that day but to bring her in anytime after 10am the following day. Without looking at her leg, we were quoted $400 for stitches and knocking her out to patch it up. The following morning I took her in at 11:30, as I was at a Dr appointment and she said anytime after 10am. When I got there she proceeded to yell at me and scold me for not having her in at 10am. She said she has no time and to bring her back the following day. I was done after that, I was at a doctor's appointment hearing mystery daughter's heartbeat for the first time, not galavanting around. I asked when she wanted to see her the following day, again she said anytime after 10am. I said that is what she said about the current day and that obviously wasn't the case. She said obviously that means totally come promptly at 10...ok...took her to a different vet that same day. The new vet was amazing, said she didn't need stitches and that she'd be fine. It healed with no issues and you can't even see it! So the new vet wasn't rude and saved us money. I'll never go back there.
Awesome vet clinic. Took my dog in. I will switch vet now.
All About Cats and Dogs is a great no-frills veterinary clinic. They have been able to see us on short notice, even before we were clients of theirs, and don't try to push any extra fees or services. Highly recommended!
Best vet I've been to, you can really tell how much she cares about the animals. Very informative and courteous, been going there for about 10 years now.
Dr. Chu is awesome. We couldn't ask for a better vet for our cats and dog. She is very thorough, caring and professional.
I was very worried about my dog getting spayed but wow the end result was amazing! Fears squashed
Vet was knowledgeable and friendly, gave me lots of great advice and consideration for my cats' health. Staff at the front were great and gave me an estimate on a potential future procedure. Overall great experience, glad to bring my babies here!
My vet was friendly and knowledgeable...the front desk person not so much.
The staff have been very accommodating and friendly whenever I have been there. I have bought food from them as well as vet services. MY cat recently got spayed there and she had almost no bruising or irritated skin. Dr. Chu did an amazing job. The hardest part has been keeping my cat's movement restricted!
I was very shocked and disappointed when Dr. Chu recommended euthanasia for my dog without any sympathy at all. In fact, she said it like it was like daily mundane tasks. I don't remember receiving any emotional support from this place.
Good staff, made my kitty feel loved!
We had a very negative experience taking in our 9 week old kitten for her first checkup and vaccination. Not only did the veterinarian scold me in a rude, unprofessional way about my kitten’s feeding habits (her original owner had her on a raw food diet, and in order to make a smooth transition to my home, I decided to keep her on it for the next little while). I had even brought in the raw food package to give the veterinarian a look at the ingredients and certifications the brand has as well as the additional supplements that we are adding but did not get the opportunity to show her as she was very rude and wanted to rush through the appointment. I was hoping for the opportunity to discuss the possible concerns with raw food and what we could be potentially missing with a professional but unfortunetly, the appointment was cut short as she, during the scolding, was pulling out viles of vaccines and had the needle out ready to inject my little girl without even telling me what the vaccines were! As a paying customer, I would have appreciated the explanation of the vaccines, what they were for, and what the potential side effects/symptoms are before they were administered. I felt extremely uncomfortable there and ended up leaving before any of the vaccines were given. Luckily, I was not charged for the appointment. To be fair, I was in the exam room for less than 5 minutes. Which goes to show how quickly she was trying to vaccinate her and get us out. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. I just got back from another veterinarian in the city and she was fantastic, explained everything thoroughly, gave me a lot of very good information about a raw food diet, and understood that in the end it was still my animal and discression, but wanted to make me aware of the potential risks. Just because they are animals, does not mean they should be treated any less. Our animals deserve just as good of care as we do.
