I know I can always trust the Team at Annapolis Animal Hospital to take the best possible care of my fur babies. I am always anxious when they get sick & need to see the Vet but know that I could not be bringing them to a better place. Great service begins as soon as you go in the door!
Attentive and carrying with our cats
They tell you one price then hit you up for more.. My friend was covering it. She volunteers at the animal shelter..not a great move
My sons cat was very sick. Sadly He had to be put down. The vet was very comforting. Explained everything to us. My son received a letter in the mail from them. Everyone was very kind.
If I could give a lower score I would. We had made a very hard decision to put our 19 year old dog down and went in there to put him down on Saturday. Was asked if he was a client which we weren’t and then we were turned away with them saying that they wouldn’t be able to help us till Tuesday and they were too busy. Was told to go to another veterinarian office. We were extremely upset since this was a already a upsetting decision. Thankfully we did go to Cornwallis Veterinarian Office and they took us right in. Made my doggy very comfortable and welcomed and the staff extremely friendly and understanding. They were shocked what I had told them about what the this office had said to us as well as all my friends I have told too.
Great visit. Just moved here from New Brunswick and didn't know how severe the tick problem was. The vet was very informative and took great care of my dog...????????????
Great hospital
Love the chubby chicken
Great vets. Been a loyal client for 20 yrs
Always so helpful with appointments and home care!
Dr. Robinson was absolutely wonderful to deal with when I brought my Guinea Pig in. She really took her time to research and make sure everything we were doing was going to be the best course of action.
this place is so good.. Dr Rachel is amazing! if you need your furry friend taken care of with love then this is your place and she is your Vet????
Excellent vets...friendly staff...so good with my cats. Dr. Rachel Robinson is wonderful!
Awesome with clients and pets most of all
Wonderful veterinary clinic. Expert, efficient and empathetic staff in a beautiful new building.
Always professional and smiling . Great staff great service and reasonable pricing . I never leave with unanswered questions
My boy Zeus LOVED going here as a puppy for vaccines and they were all so great with him. I literally had to fight with him to get him to leave the last time. He plunked his butt down on the walkway and wouldn't budge. Kept trying to go back to the door. Unfortunately I need to call tomorrow because he has a cracked claw and I'm hoping it dosnt ruin his love for going to the vet ????????
Awesome staff, great care
Great service!
My sweet baby Keleigh who was dumped but was found by me and has been stuck to me like glue since day one. I'm a c1 c2 incomplete quad and she is so finely tuned into me that she has saved my life numerous times but because shes a cat Che can't be classed a therapy so I would qualify for extra financial assistance for her medical care. Wish theres was a program for people in my situation. She has saved my life so many times and yet still unable to qualify for the funding. Anyhow i find the vets nice and caring and in the old clinic they helped me get in through the back on there old ramp and in through the back door. Thankfully the new clinic is wheelchair friendly..
I started taking my dog to Dr. Dana Power a year ago and she has exceeded my expectations. Dr. Power heard my concerns, took them very seriously, researched endlessly and tested thoroughly to determine a diagnosis. Unfortunately, I just had to put down my 5 year old dear Bella, but only because she had a structural issue that could not be resolved. Dr. Power was diligent, compassionate and very dedicated. Thank you to Dana and her team for helping me work through this sad issue.
We have only been bringing our animals to AAH for a short time, however, the service we have received has been great. We had been taking our cat to another local animal hospital for approximately a year and they were unable to diagnose the issues our cat was having, therefore, he had been suffering for almost a year with incredible pain. The first time we took our cat to AAH they were able to diagnose the problem immediately and had him in for surgery the same month. He did have some complications afterwards, but they have always been able to get him in right away to look after him and make sure he is healing properly. He still is in the healing process, but Dr. Stephanie Power has made it so much easier for us and him during the whole process. We are so thankful to finally have a solution to his problem and it wouldn't have happened if we continued bringing him to our former vet. We have five pets and will be bringing them all to AAH as long as we are living in the area. The prices are reasonable, their schedule has always been accommodating, and we have received nothing but excellent care for our animals from all of the doctors at AAH. Thank you so much! You have no idea how much of a relief it has been knowing our animals are being taken care of properly. M. Cole & S. Brunet
Absolutely lovely staff, all of them ❤ Particularly supportive and helpful when bad things happen
Very professional staff, kind and caring
Just fantastic with our dog
Awesome place
Was excellent when we had to put our dog down. Appreciated the personal touch
I find this place great, very professional and friendly, give good sound advice, on the pricey side but we’ll worth it :)
My cat was ignored and I was overcharged based on this particular vet believing the incorrect information they received from another vet. I paid for the consultation then was refused medication for my cat. I called for three days and the vet wouldn't even call me back. I am not inaccurate. My cat had infection because of dental issues, and your vet refused to even call me back, let alone give me a prescription for antibiotics. I had to go pay for another consultation at Berwick to get antibiotics for my cat.
The staff and atmosphere was great. I took my puppy for his vaccinations and check up and they were really caring and helpful with him! I will definitely be coming back and I would recommend Annapolis animal hospital to everyone :).
Name is misleading, it's not a hospital. During a time sensitive emergency I wasted my time calling. After wasting what felt like 5 minutes listening to a stupid COVID announcement (I'm pretty sure we all know to stay home if you have a fever... If you didn't grow up knowing this, you ought to have heard it by now) I finally spoke to someone who said they didn't have any available appointments. Having moved from Ontario, this was unexpected. I found another nearby vet that took us in right away and offered 24hr emergency availability... That's what I want for my family members!

Love the people grate service
Very helpful staff. A special thank you to Angela.
Great care. Friendly staff
Great service
Good Friendly Staff. Sent me a card after i had to put my pet down with some forgetme nots to plant
The animal hospital always has my cat food and medicine my cat needs to help him
I had called around to a couple of different vets for pricing and to see if I could get advise and this was the only office that actually took the time to ask me what was going on/what was wrong with my kitty. that was definitely the touch I needed that day from Andrea as I was very upset. when I got to the office, I was very happy with the surroundings. I first met andrea (my new friend), the tec (I apologize-I can't remember her name) took me/kitty directly into the room; check was done on her, inside and out LOL and explained what she was doing and answered any questions I had--- when dr. Stephanie came in, she was just as kind and explained everything as she was checking kitty over and answered questions. I did not leave with any un-answered questions; was told to call if any concerns and i'll be bringing her back for a follow-up a week (kitty had very bad allergies). when I walked in the office, I was in tears (so worried) and when I left, I was smiling :) and 4 days later, my kitty is also smiling doing so much better.
Very helpful
I had an emergency with my German Shepard late one Sunday evening. As soon as I arrived the staff took control and performed the surgery which ultimately saved his life. Extremely educated and professional staff! We are very grateful for AAH and all they did for our boy!
Just one more place not taking new clients working at it. Very helpful in finding any help for anywhere else thank God for glooscap at least they're willing to help people
Was treated very kindly by the vet and assistant, even with my handful cat! 10/10 would recommend
Excellent customer service
They've neutered 2 of my boys now and both times the cats were active and happy soon after I brought them home. They were kind to both me and my boys and even gave a follow up call about a week-ish later just to make sure they were doing well after surgery. Would definitely recommend them to anyone!
Great place, we are switching from Bereyick to here as they are much more able. They may cost a tiny bit more but your paying for quality care and good up to date knowledge
Awesome staff.
Dr. Dana has been very caring and kind to our fur babies. I just wish visits weren't so expensive.
Great staff my dog loves them
The care is excellent, but they make money on unnecessary procedures. They wouldn’t provide a refill of a medicine I lost without a second exam. The first exam had been four days earlier. They also stated that a follow up appointment was free, but then charged me for doing a procedure during the appointment without stating it was not included in the follow up. I was ready to pay top dollar for my pets, but I won’t put up with sneakiness and deception. I doubt I’ll ever return.
Very helpful. Central location.
Great vet clinic with great vets and staff
They over charge and don't stand behind price quotes. Always a hidden cost
Very saddened by the lack of help I received the other night. If the veterinarian is not willing to be on call throughout the night then it should not be offered as a service. Very disappointed.
Great prices and they got my very squirmy dogs nails done in 20 minutes.
The staff are awesome...welcoming and the cats calmed completely down ???? Thank You
I deal with Dr Rachel Robinson she is an awesome veterinarian I will not go to anyone else,
They always give the best care.
Great vet's. They care about the animals they look after...and the owners of the pets.
Very careing
When my son dog developed a infection . We was new to area and went over 1 hour and a half to this vet. My fault I read the distance wrong . The vet visit was good, dog was helped and they was kind . My problem was when we all was in self isolation... the dog infection returned. The drug store in our area would definitely fill any prescribed drugs here. I called the vet 2 days later I sent pics. ....same infection nothing different. I was charged $50 to have a video conference and they refused to send a prescription so I had to leave 4 very ill grandkids . 2 sick parents and a dog that is in need of meds . After driving all the way there . It was AMOXICILLIN. REALLY ......... . after the first visit if almost $300 . Plus fuel and time . This time it was fuel again and $209. So this cost $510 . If I had been smarter I would have cancelled the call paid the $50 and drove 30 mins to my vet . Wont be returning.....
Nice to know you have emergency service available. It is so comforting. Nice to call and speak with a person.
First off, Rachel, the vet, is lovely and very skilled and this review is absolutely not a reflection of her. However, we can't get over the outrageous fees this office charges. A consultation is $69, while follow up consultations are an additional $32. If you want to purchase a general dewormer for your cat, you need to bring him or her in; if you have two cats, you have to bring both of them in. And, you guessed it... You pay $138 just for the opportunity to buy the dewormer. Just to contrast this with our vet in BC whom we regretfully had to leave before when we moved to NS... Our vet charges $45 per consultation. Any follow up consultations are free. We have tagged on other animals countless of times to a visit, and were never charged for the second animal. You need dewormer? No need to bring the cat(s) in... You get the idea. The fees are insane.
I love Annapolis Animal Hospital, I have always gone there and wouldn't have it any other way. Although I don't love the fact that I had to make an emergency trip to the vet last, however they deserve all 5 stars because of how they treated my Izzy. I have 2 cats and 1 dog and they are my children .. so I only want the best for them. Thank you so much
Friendly, affordable & safe place to take your fur babies!
Friendly staff
They are great to help you with your pet.
Very compassionate and reasonable
Very professional facility , took the time with pet to ensure a calmness was achieved to make the visit comfortable therefore making return visits less fearful keeping the anxiousness at a minimum , as well making sure the pet owners questions were addressed effectively. Would recommend anyone to visit with young or older pets to a wonderful animal clinic, certainly a 5 Star rating.
Do not ever take your pet to this office! I my cat in due to a urinary problem and they did numerous things they said would "make it better" after a week being there he was not better and they said he would need surgery to fix the problem or would have to be put down. Not wanting to loose him I chose to do the surgery. They then told me that I would have to take him to the city to have the procedure done. I was not okay with this as I knew there where vets in the valley that could do this surgery. I then told them no that I would be taking him closer to home. They then told me that he would be better off in the city (where i would be paying almost triple the price for the surgery). Once getting him away from them and paying an outrageous bill, I have taken him to a different vet, where WITH OUT THE SURGERY, he is doing so much better and may not need the surgery after all. All they want is your money, and do not care about the good of the animal. I will NEVER go back there again.
A few years ago my family took my cat into this vet because she was having issues using the bathroom on her own. The vet (Dana Power-OWNER) gave us 2 options, she could be put to sleep or she could have a fairly costly and intense surgery that would require removing half of her bowel. After some serious thought we decided to go with the surgery, she's the only pet we had ever owned and we were all very attached to her. The first few days after the surgery were tough because she was not eating or sleeping and we attributed it to 1 of the medications she was on, we called the vet and explained the side effects she was having and the vet told us to discontinue that medication but to keep her on her antibiotic. After a few days she began eating and sleeping again, everything seemed to be going well for her. We then began to notice that she was bumping into the corners of furniture and could not seem to sense where certain voices and sounds were coming from. The pupils of her eyes became very large and turned a turquoise colour. It was like nothing we had seen before but figured it was probably some of the medication that seemed to be causing her discomfort still in her system even though we had stopped giving it to her a few days before. When we brought her in to have the staples in her stomach removed, we mentioned that we thought maybe she had an eye infection or something because her sight seemed to be getting worse. Dana then took cotton balls and started throwing them towards her face...when she didn't blink or move her head, the vet told us that it appeared she had gone BLIND and would be irreversible. We were shocked and pretty upset so I asked if the medication could have caused this, she said that it DEFINITELY DID NOT and it was probably due to her old age (she was 13 but never had any issues with sight until her operation). As soon as we brought her home I grabbed the medication we had her on and started google searching to see if blindness was a side effect. It took me less than a minute to find something that looked familiar to me, a medication called 'baytril' causing blindness in cats when given in high doses. I thought I recognized the name but it was not the medication I had in my hand so I went to get the antibiotic we had her on and sure enough...baytril. I began to read up on it and the dose for older cats should be LESS THAN 5MG PER DAY, I checked the prescription and the vet had her on 50 MG TWICE A DAY! We immediately contacted Dana to inform her of my "findings", she said that it must have been a mistake. A MISTAKE?! She didn't give us 1 cent of the $1200 back, she didn't even give us a sincere apology. Her offer? "You can bring her in to have her checked for liver damage". As if I would EVER bring her back to that monster. Less than 1 year later, my cat was put to sleep as she was having liver failure. Dana Power is irresponsible and heartless. If you care about your pets, please take them elsewhere.
They are an awesome group of people. They cover all the details when it cones to your pets needs. They go above and beyond the call of duty!!
Very unprofessional business. If you care for your animals please take them anywhere else. They care more about charging you a ridiculous price then they do about the animals they serve. They'll tell you on the phone that re-checks are free and then charge you $50 saying that they don't remember saying that it was a re-check appointment. Our cat has suffered for months and they would only give vitamins, refusing to give antibiotics until the next time so they could charge you more again.
