Horrible place , they had no sympathy or compassion ,I just wanted to save my dog amd they wanted to euthanize him and didn't want return him back to me in his own last dying minutes , regret ever going there , should've taken my chances and driven to Langley as my regular vet recommended, whom never suggested euthanasia, but to drive Langley .

My 11 year old dog has been in and out of our regular vet office in Victoria for the passed 4 months with skin and eye infections due to allergies. I've put a lot of time into trying to find answers and solutions to his discomfort. Dr.Steinbach spent easily a half hour discussing and explaining how and why this happens. I didn't ever feel rushed and I felt incredibly informed, where I previously was always left feeling like I wasn't being listened to and was just another appointment to get through. Dr.Steinbach didn't rush us in or out and it was obvious that he has a passion for both animals, AND investing in continually learning about them. This is my first impromptu vet visit in another town in over 6 years and I can honestly say, that I'd be happy to ride the ferry over and back, just to see him again with our next ailment. Thank you for expressing an interest in a solution as well as passing on information in a professional and understandable way. Highly recommend!

They are the best. They are like a family doctor for my dog! They liaise with specialists to save you from having to make lengthy drives and they are very professional but welcoming. Love them!

Very disappointed in their false advertising on their website. Their website states "we welcome “drop-offs” where you can leave your pet with us and we will address the concerns presented when our schedule allows." My dog has a history or bladder stones causing urinary blockages and has been urinating frank blood since last night while I am on vacation in the area and they flat out turned us away telling us to go elsewhere. They didnt even offer a drop off appointment, they should change their website to reflect the services they actually offer.

My dog has been going to the vet for a few years now for check ups and regular vaccines and when we had an actual emergency and needed assistance they turned us down so my dog had to suffer from pain for hours until we find another vet in this town who starts working before noon. ( which apparently is only 1 in town) I guess we will have to look for another vet. Thanks for your compassion and dedication to your regular clients.

Have been bringing our rescue dog here for a few years now and have always received the best service and care. Our dog was so nervous (having been a rescued stray) but the kindness and patience of all the staff, along with Dr Steinebach’s skills & experience have made all of our visits easy. Over the years of pet ownership, I have found that some vets are great with animals but not people and some vice versa, but this team are great with the clients at both ends of the leash!

A SCAM IF YOU GET DR STEINBACH Gave me false and dangerous information for 300 dollars. Took my pregnant dog to Dr Steinbach, he suggested an ultrasound instead of an X Ray which I know now in hindsight is what she needed at her stage. We do the ultrasound and he says there are 4 or 5 puppies in there. I had some questions and he was very impatient with answering them even though I just paid 300 dollars for him to tell me an indefinite and wildly incorrect number as I will later find out. He then tells me to get her in for a C section if she doesn’t have the puppies in 3 days. Again, wildly irresponsible and extremely dangerous advice from a “professional” because she’s not due for another week and a half. I ignored the C section advice obviously. Then when my dog went into labour a week and a half later, I kept waiting and waiting for a 4th and potential 5th puppy. I waited up all night. I even took her to the hospital because it never came. Paid for an X ray to find out that there was never a 4th or 5th puppy. Dr Steinbach is impatient with questions, incompetent and playing with lives here. If I had listened to him about the C section, my dog would probably be dead along with the puppies. He needs to stop practicing because he is quite honestly a dangerous person to be handling sick animals.

We have been with Valley Vet for 16 years. This clinic restored my faith in vets and staff who put the animals first. They have always been so kind and patient with our dogs, previously one black and one chocolate lab. They helped us through the very tough end of life transitions for both dogs with nothing but the utmost care and compassion. We now have a little staffy pup and she has already become so well loved and cared for by these wonderful people. The docs have a very conservative approach meaning that they don't force their agenda. They consider what is the least intervention we can introduce with the most positive effect for the animal. They give you all the possibilities and their outcomes and empower you as the guardian. They are all incredibly kind and vastly knowledgeable. I will continue to praise these vets and their staff, they are the best!

My dog is typically apprehensive of new people, especially with her ears. Took her in for an inner ear infection and she immediately warmed up the vet and her staff. Thorough checkup with proper diagnosis and treatment. My dog is feeling much better and was actually EXCITED to see the vet today for our follow up appointment. Highly recommend this place. Their passion for animals and customer service is top notch. Thanks for taking good care of our pup!

ABSOLUTLEY TERRIBLE PLEASE DONT GO HERE !! I promise you I am not one to ever write bad reviews because I work in the service industry and I beleive if you have an issue with a company you should deal with them directly and not shame them on social media without giving them a chance to explain or recover the situation first. However, in this case Valley Vet failed to recover the situation or show that they cared at all so Im letting you know about my experience as a warning and also because I chose this vet based soley on its high reviews. I took my cat in to see doctor Steinbach on Friday morning at 11 AM for a blocked urinary tract. She examined him and gave us two quotes step one was manually drain the bladder and put him on medication ($800 ) and if that didnt work he would need a cathetar put in (1500) PLUS he would have to go to the Langley emergency clinic for 3 days at $600 a day plus medication. So we go home get a phone call around 2pm and are told the first procedure didnt work and we were looking at $3000 to help out poor kitty or he wouldnt make it on his own. So I ask her for some time to talk it over with my boyfriend and see if we can come up with $3000 that had to be paid today, she told me I had five minutes to decide so we said yes go ahead with the procedure and we will figure it out. I ask her if they offer any type of payment plan or if there are any other options such as : can we take him home and watch him ourselves or can we take him to another vet in chilliwack that we can actually afford ? We were told no our only options were to put him down or send him to Langley for $1500+ so after a long discusion we decided that was our only option was to have him put down because we just couldnt come up with the money that quickly especially right after christmas. So we tell her our decision and she says well if your putting him down then its better if you surrender him into our care and we will take care of him with the cathetar in but then re-home him. After we already paid $1000 for the procedure. So my options from valley are : pay $3000 immediatley or were giving your cat to a new family. Now keep in mind he has the cathetar in now , hes doing good he just needs to be watched so it doesnt come out but i dont have $600+ a day to pay someone to watch my cat. They say thats my only choice or they will re-home him. We decide to send him to langley and somehow come up with the money because Im not paying to fix him and have him given away. So in a last attempt I call Cheam View Vet and they said to bring him in right away, they examined him and sent him home with us to watch him for the night and to bring him back in the morning. He does great through the night and they kept him there the whole next day and overnight, he is there now and doing great. I called valley the next morning and asked for his blood tests and urine results they said they wouldnt be ready until monday which i relayed to cheam vet and they said no way they use the same lab and they should already be in. So I go into valley vet clearly upset and ask to speak with the doctor and have her explain to me why we werent given any other options except to have him put down or rehomed and why my test results werent back yet. The receptionist put me in a room to wait for the doctor , I waited over 20 minutes and no one came so I told the recptionist what had happened and that I was extremly unimpressed with how they handled my situation and made us choose between $3000 or putting my car down/re-homing him when clearly we had other options. Cheam View Vet has been amazing and so helpful and its cost me less than a fraction of what Valley was bullying me into paying. So a big shout out to them and if your considering Valley Vet, DONT! Go to Cheam View Veterinary on young road they are amazing and saved my cats life, took such good care of us and cost an actual fraction of what Valley was charging. Valley vet put us through so much unessecarry emotional turmoil and stress they were an actual nightmare. We felt very taken advantage of.

My cat would be dead if I kept going to Valley Vetinary Services. I took my 18 year old cat to Valley Vet in Oct 2017 because she had a small tumor, Dr. Steinebach extracted a sample & confirmed it was a spindle tumor, he was not 100% confident in removing it & advised that it wasnt the best option. We agreed to let her live out her life until she is in pain. Sept 2018 the lump was bigger than a tennis ball, fortunately when I booked for a check up Valley Vet was not open so I called Cottonwood Vet, Dr.Mueller at Cottonwood was 100% confident in removing it, they removed the lump a week later (for half the price Valley vet quoted me) and my cat has never been better, Cottonwood Vet saved my cats life.

After moving to chilliwack I tried one other vet she was only interested in doing tons of tests on a 12 year old dog. Didn't seem interested in anything we had to say or his past problems. This vet was absolutely the opposite so nice will be going here from now on. She listened and gave us an estimate first. She was amazing.

I was on holidays when my dog all of a sudden couldn’t walk. He wasn’t eating, and had been throwing up. I took him to Sardis animal hospital carrying him to the front door. He weighs about 60lbs. I could see the receptionist behind the counter who just kept looking up and did not rush to help me. Finally when she got up and walked to the door taking her sweet time, I was turned away and was told they could not help me as the doctors were all busy. I was there with my two kids. I found this to be completely unprofessional and quite rude. My dog was in distress and they turned me away and told me to find another hospital. I won’t ever be recommending this place to anyone. Terrible service!!!

Dr. Steinebach fixed a knee issue my dog had when he was a 18 months old. I was skeptical that my dog would have a normal life (he is a larger breed) and that he would end up lame. I am glad to say that the joint repair was successful and my energetic dog has lived an active normal life. He is 8 now and shows no signs of slowing down.
