I had been told specifically to contact Menzies pet hospital in my search for a dog, and found they had breeding services, and sometimes had rescue animals for adoption. I emailed the vet clinic no less than 3 times requesting my searches, and if they could help, as well as have them become the resulting fur baby veterinary team and how to become a new patient policy. I have NEVER even gotten a response, as it seems to me my repeated requests and questions were not important enough to even solicit a polite response, such as, no they don't do this or that, and not taking new patients, or whatever their policy may be. I can only imagine if they treat POTENTIAL CLIENTS like they don't matter, and can't be bothered, how do they treat ACTUAL CLIENTS? As a result, when I moved to Chilliwack, and was blessed enough to get a dog who is older in age and could use a good veterinarian, finding I live extremely close to Menzies pet hospital, left me with doubt in their abilities and I can not be bothered to give them my business, as my dog is the number one priority in my life, and deserves better. I am considering moving to Abbotsford or Surrey so I can find a decent vet for my #1.

I won't be back to this vet. On my first visit, for routine vaccines, I was taken by surprise when the receptionist said she would help me out by taking one of my two cats for me, and then took my cat into some back room instead of the exam room. When I asked for an exam room, she acted like that was a strange request and put me into the tiniest possible room, which was obviously not clean. Second visit (for the second vaccine) involved both cats being taken into the back for some time, and then brought out to me when they were "finished." My cats seemed fine, but if you won't treat my cats in front of me, I don't trust you. A pet owner should be there for everything except surgeries. No complaints about the vet himself, Dr. Mann, whom I saw very briefly on my first visit, and seemed very knowledgeable and professional. This office has a strange way of handling animals, and I don't like it.

I've been here for 3 yrs now and always had the best care for my kitties , Always comes through for them and good results without paying too much, Very fair prices, I've never been disappointed. De Mann always tries the lesser first like antibiotics to see if they work before going into more serious test. At least he tries that, most vets will just be too happy to give you a $2,000 price on care. That's what matters in good care and good price. I will definitely suggest this place. Just got my newest addition spayed and she's doing great, like nothing happened but is getting monthly Rx for eating up her side fur. I love this place and the staff are great also.

We have been customers at Menzies ever since another vet who we were using wanted to wait 3 days for an appointment when our dog was ill. Menzies told us to, of course, bring him right in, and they took very good care of him. When we had to have our pet euthanized (many years later, thank goodness), they were very supportive and empathetic. Now we have a new pet that we have had to get vaccinations for. They are always great about answering other questions that have come up, and have not charged for extra examination of our new pup. Also, they are taking precautions during Covid which we appreciate!

Moyo visited Doc . Mann at Menizies Pet Hospital on Friday afternoon - for her annual shots, and to chat about her itchy skin. From start to finish the staff were wonderful - friendly and kind, they even allowed me into the examining room with Moyo (masks on!) as Moyo doesn't like being separated from me (She's a Service Dog). Doc Mann is great!! I loved how he got down to Moyo's level on the ground and fussed with her, talking to her and he appeared most knowledgeable and efficient. She was seriously ill and barely breathing when I took her there and Dr. Mann stepped in and within a couple of days she was back to normal. Our dog was hit by a truck in our driveway and had a broken leg. We were advised by our regular vet that she would need surgery to repair it. Due to the road closures and flooding, we couldn’t find a vet clinic who performed surgeries locally. Menzies was the only clinic that could helps. Working with the kind staff, we felt supported and calm because we knew they would help our dog as soon as possible. Thank you for helping us care for our dog!

I love this vet! They are super kind and helpful. I have been coming to this vet for at least 3 years (our first kitten Pancake). I wanted to update my review (updating from 2 years ago) because we are taking our next kitten in (zero) and they gave me all the information I needed. They work with us around our work schedule. Pricing is fair. I also found that they're building is always clean. Our neighbors got a new pet and asked me where I should go. I always say Menzies. If you love your pet go to Menzies.

I had a meet and greet with Dr. Mann after recently moving from Kamloops to Chilliwack. Having a special needs Frenchie (congenital hydrocephalus, grade 2 laryngeal collapse w/ elongated soft pallate surgery, hiatal hernia, grade 2 dental disease w/ 16 recent extractions and a plethora of other issues) it is important for me to be ensure I have the best care for my boy. Dr. Mann was very knowledgeable and I felt his confidence in his ability to treat my dog for his multiple medical concerns. He ended up having a ear infection (it always seems to be something so it’s important for me to have a vet that when I call I can actually get my dog seen - which Menzie’s offers!) and he did a ear flush, got him on some ear drops and as well gave him some allergy meds to try (to hopefully prevent the issue). My dog wasn’t happy at first - he really snarled at Dr. Mann. Dr. Mann was so good with him - he picked him up in his arms to calm him and really tried to create a bond. I feel very confident that my boy’s care is in the best hands with Menzie’s and if you are looking for a new vet, I would highly recommend giving them a try.

Dr. Harpal Mann is the best vet I've ever met. He did the Spaying of my female dog and it went super well. My male dog is doing super after having very difficult health issues I've battled for a year. Very precise application of the right solutions. No more monkeying around. I became an emotional customer at one point a day after surgery when my dog was in pain, and I didn't have extra pain killers. Apparently he was on a 24hr pain killer and I somehow never heard them tell me. But it wasn't strong enough. In the end they calmed me down and turns out my dog just got past worst point of his pain so got better quite rapidly, a big relief for this emotional parent. That's all that matters is that my dog is healthy. And I feel for the staff at Menzies having to manage all the dog owner's emotions when they watch their animals having health problems

This place was a great improvement on our experience with Cottonwood Veterinary. Our three dogs were scheduled for 1/2 hour appointments, one after the other. The staff were friendly and loved the dogs. They took them right in, on time. We didn't go into the examination room with them (perhaps a COVID protocol), but the staff shared with us comments that the vet had made and were able to answer any questions we had. We were out of there within an hour for all three dogs, unlike our last visit to Cottonwood, which ate up almost three hours. Highly recommended!

I can't say enough about this doctor and the staff. They are not only excellent with your pet, but are sensitive to the anguish and confusion, you are going through also. I thought I might have to say a final goodbye to my beloved Louie, and I was assured that it wasn't a stroke and to give it some time. Turns out the doc was spot on. My pooch had what you call, "Vestibular Disease", "Old dog disease". He is now back to his old self, after a week of being in their loving care. This will be the only vet I will go to for our 3 pets. Thank you so very much!! Highly recommend!

I came in super early at opening before the veteranarian was in because I was worried about my littl dog, and the front desk called the vet and she came in a bit early to look at her. Really good experience. Some vets just want your money and treat you like a transaction but here they really treat you and your pet with care and respect.

Great experience treating my pet, however twice the price of cheam pet hospital. Don't really understand why. For simple tests to determine if my cat was having an allergic reaction they wanted over 600 dollars, more then half my paycheck. I opted for them to treat him symptomatically, which still cost 200. At cheam pet hospital, I got the full work up including x-rays, blood work and meds to take home. This all cost under 300.

Frustrating, tried making two different appointments for each of my dogs on two separate days. Both times I was told there was a 1-2 week waiting list, when both needed veterinary attention. Where as I call Family Pet Hospital in Chilliwack and was able to schedule an appointment same day. I called Menzies to request the weight of one of my dogs so the other hospital could prescribe medication, just to be told they were closing in 5-10 minutes, and that I should call back the next day.

Dr. Mann explained all my options over the 3 days my dog was there. They were open to questions and me calling to check on her. I can't say enough wonderful things about this vet and his staff. But they were super reassuring, answered all my questions, were very understanding. Great safety measures in place for COVID_19, putting pets and people's health first. Staff is great with frightened animals separated from their owners while being examined, and Dr. Mann is one of the best surgeons in Fraser Valley.

Rushed my dog to the closest clinic when he collapsed. They saw him immediately for which I was grateful, and did an initial incorrect diagnosis suggesting that while I could do tests they likely would just confirm what they suspected and they likely couldn’t help him. I chose to test him and was quoted approximately $600 by the vet. I admit that I didn’t look closely at the form I signed with the quote from the admin staff, as I was very distressed with his condition, but was shocked when the final cost was almost $1000. Throughout the day I kept in touch to find out what was happening. The final call from the vet was difficult to understand as I was in a parking lot at the time, which I mentioned to him. When I went to pick Mickey up I expected a report with their findings or that the vet would come talk to me. Just 5 minutes previously I told him I would be right there. With nothing received I requested a report but by mid morning the next day called again as I had nothing. When I finally received the report there was no prognosis without further testing which would be between $600 - $950. I gleaned more information from the radiologist report, and read info I was not given by the vet, even though I had to look up a number of medical terms. My dog is now very constipated, there was no warning that this could happen, what to look out for or what we could do to be proactive. I’m assuming this was because of medication he was given. The radiology report mentioned every thing looked fine with his bowel, and he had no previous problem. It has been a stressful time for our family with being told his apparently terminal diagnosis which still isn’t really clear without spending a lot more $. I don’t know if there is anything we can do for him except put him on insulin, though we have been told he has a heart condition and possible lung cancer. There are a lot of positive reviews, but I’m disappointed, I will take him to another clinic for follow up. They were very quick to do tests, but the follow up and consultation were poor.

Our Brenda can be a very challenging little personality (much to our surprise) and they had nothing but patience and love in their hearts in trying to make our baby Rottweiler feel safe. I had called to receive anti worm medicine for my cat Luna a while back. The receptionist said to apply the entire tube into the back of Lunas neck. The next day I noticed a terrible chemical burn. I called the receptionist and she just told me to call the manufacturer of the prescribed anti worm medicine. She Didn’t offer to bring Luna in that same day or ask any questions. I contacted another vet in Chilliwack who took it serious and made sure Luna was okay, they mentioned it was way too much medicine for a cat Lunas size and instances like that can be very harmful sometimes even fatal. I reached out to Menzies shortly after again, only for them to offer an exam on Luna which they were going to charge me for. I will take my pets else where from now on and no longer recommend Menzies pet hospital to friends & family.

my dog had a paw issue and the shakes. no vets were open except Menzies i went there first thing in the morning as Bubba did not eat or drink the day before. with no appointment, Menzies Pet Hospital fit me in within half an hour! gave me antibiotics and pain killers for Bubba and a free follow-up appointment in a weeks time. Dr. Mann is honestly one of the best vets we have come across after having moved several times. When we first went to Menzies, it was for a second opinion. We had taken our dog to another vet across town and he said our best option is to put him down or go to a specialist. And when we spoke to Dr. Mann, he said our dog requires a simple surgery he has performed many times and what do ya know our little trooper is fit and healthy as ever. My son was told his dog needed TPLO surgery, the referred animal hospital said "it should not be more than $10,000". I brought his dog to Menzies for a 2nd opinion. The Dr looked at his x-rays. He took the dog for a walk and watched him run. He told us that there were less invasive recovery options, surgery should not be considered at this time. The Dr and the staff were pleasant, professional and explained the healing process for his injury and gave us some tips for his recovery. I would definately recommend Menzies.

Our little dog Teddy had a terrible experience at a local groomers. He was nicked in several places and having very sensitive skin he was very itchy. The poor little dog just about went crazy scratching constantly. The vet gave him a shot that worked almost immediately to take away the itch and supplied an ointment to dab on sensitive, raw areas. Within a couple of days he was back to his old self. We were so very pleased with the care and attention Teddy received from the staff and the vet. Being new in Chilliwack we are so pleased to find such a great facility for the care of our pets.

Excellent trustworthy staff. Truly care about your furry family. I bring my cats here whenever they need dental cleanings, check ups, vaccinations, or emergency care. Saved my kitten, took care of her as soon as i came in. So thankful to them.

We had to take our cat, Max, in to see Dr. Mann. As always Menzies Pet Hospital took excellent of our Max! They were able to see him within a few hours of my call and they are taking social distancing very seriously. Once you arrive you give them a quick call and our they come to retrieve their patient. I went home as I live very close and once Max had been examined and treated I got a call to come pick him up. I paid over the phone once I got to the parking lot and they then brought Max out to me. It was great! Thank you all.
