This is hands down the BEST vets/animal hospital in BC. I live downtown Vancouver and drive an hour and a bit to see Shelly & the team here. I have been to see so many different vets in the city with my little Milo the Mini Schnauzer. You can always trust their advise, which is not driven by profit - but by animal care the way it should be. I truly would not trust his health and care with anyone else. Also, really great with recommending treatment options, with aftercare follow up, and checking to see if my pet was on the mend. So glad to have such a great place available in the city. Dr Horvat is simply AMAZING!! She was so informative, spent an hour with us at our appointment answering questions and giving us amazing tips for our new puppy Molly. All of the staff that were there are amazing and really treat their clients and fur babies like FAMILY. They take the time to explain EVERYTHING, and give so much love to the animals, they truly treat them like their own. After having a not so nice experience at a different veterinarian when we had to say goodbye to our first fur baby, I'm so glad we decided to go here for our new baby. Thank you so much Dr Horvat and all the amazing staff for really treating us like family. We are so grateful to have found an amazing veterinarian!! This veterinary office is compassionate, empathetic, and by far the best vet my boyfriend and I have ever visited! Specifically, Dr. Ritchie is my favourite! She had very tactfully delivered the news that my cat, Tigger, had some crystals and a sample and organized a treatment plan. However, Dr. Ritchie only evaluates the results of a urine sample and blood work and had not met Tigger herself, so she offered us a complimentary visit to check Tigger our herself. Further, because Tigger likes to hide under the chair in the room, and I was on the ground with her, Dr. Ritchie completed the physical on the ground to keep Tigger comfortable. Finally, when she prompted for further treatment she also offered to discount some of the expenses because we had spent quite a bit to treat Tigger so far. We highly recommend this vet to everyone!!

If I could give this vet clinic 10 stars I would. We adopted a puppers with some issues to say the least. She is reactive, and can be aggressive, but is really sweet if you get to know her. After searching for months for the perfect vet we landed at FVAH. People had raved about them. From the first call to the intake, and then subsequent appointment for spaying, vaccinations, and micro chip they were beyond professional. They treated me and my Quinn like family! They answered every question, did not even blink at how many!! Katie was amazing today!! She really made me feel so comfortable, and heard!! Beyond that the prices were great. I didn’t feel like they were trying to tack on extra. I feel they give you way more for your money. Such a great value. Won’t go anywhere else ever again!!!

I began my client/vet relationship with FVAH days before the pandemic took hold. Not only did Dr. Shelley Horvat see me on an emergency call on a Sunday, she handled our situation with incredible care, professionalism, and heartfelt honesty, going over all the options and possibilities for my senior dog in distress. New to the area, this was my third vet in 6 months. I'm not the easiest client (because of my mistrust of Big Pharma), but we worked together to support her to be comfortable in her final weeks. I received excellent care and contact from FVAH. When the heartbreaking time came to let my dog go, they came to the house (with distancing measures). I’m so grateful I found FVAH. Shelley and her team go above and beyond for animals and their people. I cannot imagine what would have happened had I not found such a thorough, caring, and professional service. Our golden retriever was under the care of Fraser Valley Animal hospital from the time he was 8 weeks old until he left us at 14 years old. Dr. Horvat and the staff at this office always go above and beyond. They are caring and compassionate. When our boy had any medical issues we were always given straight answers and options on treatment, and we never felt judged for the decisions we made in that regard. If you bring your pet to this vet's office, they will be treated like family! I wanted to add some comments about our experience where our beautiful boy had to be euthanized. FVAH helped us to first deal with the process leading up to that day - to not feel guilty about making the decision until we knew that Cyrus was ready to go. We got all the practical help we needed with issues surrounding food and medication. Since we knew the day was coming sooner than later, we discussed what it could look like if we had the vet come to the house so that Cyrus last moments would be in his own home with his family. When the day came, we phoned and arranged it for the following day. Dr. Horvat showed such amazing compassion and top notch professionalism, which was even more appreciated as it was a hard day for her as well, having been his doctor for his entire life. Cyrus left this earth quietly and gently and no pet owner could ask for more for their beloved fur baby.

I HAVE USED BOTH VETS AT THIS CLINIC DR. HORVAT AND DR. CREWS.THE STAFF AND THE DOCTORS ARE VERY THOROUGH. THE HEALTH OF THIS PUP WAS AN EXTREMELY HARD CASE, BUT I FEEL EVERYTHING POSSIBLE WAS DONE, I CAME AWAY KNOWING THEY DID EVERYTHING MEDICALLY POSSIBLE WITHOUT RANDOMLY JUST THROWING TESTS AND MEDS AT THE PUP. THEIR FOLLOW UP WAS EXCELLENT, AND CALLING ME BACK ON REPORTS WAS PROMPT. THE STAFF WAS AMAZING CARING FOR OUR PUP, AND MY PUP WAS ALWAYS HAPPY TO SEE THEM AND WAS NOT SCARED GOING TO THE VET, SHE LOOKS FORWARD TO IT LOL. THE FACILITIES ARE VERY CLEAN,AND COZY HOMEY FEEL. The quality of care at FVAH is exceptional. I appreciate the way that Dr. Horvat takes extra time to help me understand my pets condition and the options available to us. The staff and Drs have a wonderful balance of clinical prowess and empathy for their patients, making them effective and pleasant. In the summer of 2012, Atlas, our family's chocolate labradoodle, sustained a serious rupture of his ACL. The team at FVAH repaired his ligament, and helped him get back to important things like fetching tennis balls and chasing flies! We can't thank them enought!!! I love their facebook page, it's full of useful information and common injuries and conditions related to family pets. I didn't even want to give it a 1 star. I had the worst experience with my CAT. I just hope people read this are have another opinion if they would like to come here for any of their pet needs. Some of the staff is loveable and some the quite opposite. When someone can't even face you to tell you what happened to your CAT behind the scenes. They have no dignity whatsoever. I feel devastated to see my CAT in this condition. Dr.Sarah is and will be super in my books. She took the time to actually talk to my girlfriend. Update: their response to my review completely swerved the fact tgr butchered my kittens paws to the point they were all bleeding from them cutting his nails while asleep. The doctor stepped outside to speak to me, the person who did this to my animal wouldn't even show face. Take responsibility don't try and talk your way out of your carelessness. Every issue could of been avoided.

This place is absolutely amazing from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out the door. The service is exceptional and everyone that works there is friendly and upbeat. I couldn't be any happier to have found such a great place and it all started with reading these reviews. Let me start by saying my little Angel is extremely difficult when it comes to getting her nails done. I tried a Groomer and that turned into a really bad experience for both Angel and I. She ended up with a blood clot in her eye that needed attention from a vet. I don't know what happened at her previous vets but she hated that place and was so scared to go in there. I knew I had to try a new place and that's when I found Fraser Valley Animal Hospital. They were so gentle with my little Angel. I was so impressed with how they handled such a difficult dog. Instead of getting frustrated and stressing her further they loved her and wrapped her in a blanket to make her as comfortable as possible. Their approach worked and they were able to cut her nails and I couldn't be happier. This is definitely my new vets office!!!

Incredible Animal Hospital! Such compassionate staff. Dr Horvak and Dr Bruce, we're so gentle and caring towards our girl who was in her final stages of cancer when we brought her to the clinic. Horrible experience. We went in to put our family dog down and thry asked if they could sedate our dog a little bit so they could get the catheter in my parents said yes. They come back in with her and head is flopped over with her tounge hanging out of her mouth. Very ashamed in how they handled this. a little bit of sedate is very different from the way our dog was. They need to go back to school and relearn all their medical stuff. I dont even want to give you guys 1 star not even half of 1 star. You guys have made my father and I very upset with lack of comunication. LEARN HOW TO TREAT YOUR PATIENTS AND CLIENTS. Never ever coming back here. I hope you guys are happy with yourselves. We have a cat and i'll be damned if we bring our cat to you guys cuz you guys screwed up big time. I never want to see (if we bring another animal to you guys) the pets head not moving and the tounge flopping out of its mouth. it was a horrifically upsetting sight. You guys need to learn communication and how much to give our animals. You shouldnt have charged us the whole price of the meds that you use to put down tthe animals since our dog was already half way knocked out. we didnt even get say goodbye to our dog cuz she was already basically gone when you guys brought her back. Im so furious with you guys. You guys have a lot to learn and you better learn fast. And i'll be telling everyone i know not to go to you guys.

Personally, I would not even give this place a star AT ALL! I took my cat in that was very ill and weak hoping she would get a bit better after a doctor check up and feed back on what to do, next thing i know i’m walking out with a $403 bill and my cat still isn’t feeling any better. I have many complaints about the service you guys provided 1. It seems like all you guys do is scare your patients enough for them to spend the most amount of money because I sure felt panicked anytime the doctor spoke to me, never even tried comforting us 2. ON THAT NOTE, we NEVER saw the doctor in person it was always the receptionists talking to us... receptionist. NOT DOCTORS. When you run a service like this it is ALWAYS BEST for the DOCTOR to talk to the patient and not a receptionist that isn’t as experienced. 3. When my cat had her physical exam, they said come back in an hour and didn’t even have us in the room with her, what’s up with that??? what kind of service does that. 4. they allowed us to take my cat home even when they knew she wasn’t eating as much so that doesn’t make any sense to me but we had no choice because we were told that leaving her overnight wouldn’t make a difference since no one is at the clinic... if i’m leaving her overnight, i sure would love to have her be supervised just incase anything goes wrong. 5. Even after we took her home she still seemed sick and my poor cat almost passed out the next day, so i call and they want to charge me a $70 fee for a new doctor to examine her since her original doctor wasn’t there, are you kidding me?? You already have the information and I get it’s a new doctor but i’m not a millionaire and can’t be spending money just because you guys don’t do your work right, all you guys did was frighten my mother and I and stress us out. IF MY CAT IS ALREADY A CURRENT PATIENT I SHOULDNT BE CHARGED ADDITIONAL FEES FOR NEW DOCTORS TO CHECK HER, that should be your service already! Like another patient said “no compassion for the patients or pets, all about the money, and very poor service with the staff”. I even called to tell them we were really worried but unsatisfied with what was going on and the receptionist had the audacity to just say “okay sweetie (said this TO MY MOTHER) are you coming in today or not,” I SURE AM NOT WITH THAT KIND OF ATTITUDE AND LACK OF COMPASSION I GOT. have a nice day.

All and all it's average. Some vets care more than others. Same with the reps and what not. I brought my cat in loads of times. And also brought her in when I put her down September 2018. There was the option to try and save her. They wouldn't do it because I couldn't pay all of it up front. I could of easily brought $300 in every 2 weeks. I was a 3 plus year user of your services. You didn't even try to offer it. A vet I used to use in Langley let me do that. Because of that. I lost my cat that day. Still blame myself for it every day. And not a day goes by I don't curse this place in some ways. Plus after I held my dead cats body. They gave my cat extra stuff to put her down cause she was super dehydrated. I asked for her to get liquids put in her. To make it easier because it took almost an hour for her to finally let go. I was told there was no point and basically it would of been a waste to put her on liquids. If I was going to pay for it, where is the issue? No one warned me what happens when animals start passing. So I ended up having a panic attack from her letting out her final breaths and the vet actually chuckled when it happened and I screamed cause it scared me so badly.. My biggest pet peeve ever with this place, I left the room after saying my goodbyes to my baby girl, but still watched outside the room. The lady that went in wasn't paying attention to me still being outside the door. And she grabbed my cat my the scruff and lifted her that way and basically shoot her lifeless body like some sick joke. But as soon as she saw me. She rapidly put her down, asked me if I was done. Then rolled her up in the blanket and took her away like she meant something suddenly because she knew I was watching, that it mattered now. Dead or not SHES MY BABY. And was not treated right on her last day. I still say she could of been saved. But because I don't have $$$$ to hand out THAT day. I wasn't given the opportunity. Other than all that. You're getting 2 stars. Because one vet specifically was amazing with me. And with my cat.

Even gave me 3 days of pain meds for my boy when he was neutered which I've never gotten from any other vet. I highly recommend these ladies to care for your beloved fur family members. They even called the next morning to check up and make sure my boy was good. Very friendly and professional staff.

We loved this place when we first came here. Our babies were treated with kindness and respect. I really liked Dr. Bruce but after luna got badly infected from her surgery at another office the care here seemed to decline. I brought her in for multiple exams and I was unhappy with one of the vets who saw Luna (not dr Bruce I think it was dr. Selandar) and she removed the staples luna had (she got staples from an emerg clinic) and then said not to clean the area that was horribly infected. I disagreed but did as I was told and it got worse. I emailed them to tell them this was a huge problem and they wanted to charge us for "culturing" which was to test her for what kind of infection she had. No one cleaned her here either when we brought her in multiple times for exams. It honestly became more about the money than anything. I was so upset with how Luna was not getting better that I made the decision not to come back to this clinic. Its disappointing because I felt they were a right fit for us. But it was always about the money, tests this, tests that. They even wanted to keep my babies on the ringworm medication. I actually stopped giving it after doing it for almost 3 mths and it was gone, never came back. They wanted to charge us over $340 dollars for the medication when they didnt even need it. I get doing tests is a good thing to do but when your cat is so infected you dont want to test it and wait a few days for results. She needed results asap. We brought her to gladys animal hospital instead and they cleaned her and gave her antibiotics without any stupid tests. Luna got better because we trusted dr mundi. Really wish fvah did better for us. They lost very good customers. :(

I cannot fully express my gratitude and love for the staff at FVAH! We first came to them a couple years ago when we finally became fed up with the care we were receiving from our previous vet. Our pets our very much our fur babies. We were made to feel foolish any time we contacted our previous vet with concerns. FVAH came highly recommended so we set an appointment with them to have them take a second look at our Bruce Wayne. From that very first appointment we were sold. The entire staff was so kind, compassionate, and put us right at ease. I didn't think I could love them any more than I already did until this past Christmas when our Korra became sick. Christmas eve we had to bring her in for surgery. Dr. Horvat then brought Korra home with her over Christmas to personally monitor Korra's recovery. This meant the absolute world to us that she would go so above and beyond on a holiday for our pup. We are also so thankful for Dr.Bruce's and the tech's follow up care in the week after. Though the situation was tough, I felt at ease knowing Korra was in such excellent hands the entire time. Our Korra is fully recovered and running laps around the backyard like nothing thanks to everyone at FVAH. And though both our pups have been poked and prodded at the vet, they both light up when they see us pull up to the clinic (it may rank higher on their list of favorite places to go than the park). I started using this Hospital recently for the Reproductive Services offered by Dr. Selander. The vet was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! She never pushes anything on you and leaves the decisions up to you, but does give her advice. ( which is what I am paying for!) I had found a stray cat at my work, and took him home. It was obvious that he was not neutered, and quite malnourished. I called Fraser Valley Animal Hospital first thing in the morning and they managed to squeeze me in 2 hours after I called. They’ve done dental surgery on one of my cats, entropion surgery on my dog, as well as boarded my cats when I had to go out of town suddenly. The staff here is phenomenal! If you have an "aggressive" dog, they'll do their best to work with you to make your dog feel comfortable. I have a rescue dog and he came with some baggage. My old vet always made us put a muzzle on him. At FVAH they were super accommodating and made our boy feel safe and loved, so that they didn't need to muzzle him while doing his check up and giving him his annual shots. Highly recommend!!

Recently we lost one of our pugs after a 7 year battle with cancer. Dr Horvat was fantastic throughout those years offering several different treatments and medications. I strongly believe without Dr Horvat's experience, care and knowledge that we would not have had those 7 happy years with our little dog. When it came time to say goodbye Dr Horvat's team was very sympathetic but professional. I cannot say enough about this practice and would strongly recommend it to friends and family. I started off taking my chocolate lab here when she was a puppy and have been extremely happy with their service. When they moved I thought they closed and ending up trying a couple different veterinary offices in the Abby mission area. I was pretty disappointed each time and left the clinics always feeling unsure. After over 21 years of using FVAH I can recommend them to care for pets with no hesitation. Everyone, and I mean everyone, on staff seems to genuinely care for the well-being of your animal(s). I very recently had to make the decision to euthanize a much-beloved pet and so appreciated the genuine caring and time I was given to make the decision and to spend with my poor boy at the end of his life. A week ago, my little dog ate something that was very toxic for her. When I called the clinic in a panic, the wonderful staff told me to bring her down right away. After the doctor gave Dolly an exam, she kept her in the hospital overnight for medications and fluids. Dr. Horvat called me a few hours later with an update and kept my mind at ease. I picked her up the next day and she was back to normal. The cost of the visit was minimal in comparison to the value of care she received. I really appreciate how quickly the Fraser Valley Animal Hospital acted to take care of my special girl.

I'm new to FVAH and their staff, having brought my bby girl Kasis in last year for the first time to get a lion shave for the summer. Brought her in again this week for the shave as well as blood work, leaving her for an overnight stay. Which I'll admit, was a first, and very nervous about it. But they took such good care of her. From the first appointment we had with Dr. Bruce at FVAH, we felt relief and hope for our Archie after he became seriously ill. Over the next few months, he was treated so kindly and compassionately by all the staff and doctors and to our amazement, he responded to it with quietness and calmness, not the usual traits of our boy! As time progressed, and it became obvious that his illness was taking his life, and could not be cured, we made the heartbreaking decision to euthanize him. On that day, we were greeted with such compassion and sensitivity. We entered a private, cozy, softly-lit room, with comfortable chairs for us and a basket with a cushion for Archie. Dr. Bruce took him away to get him "ready", and then she had a few moments with him by herself to say "goodbye". It warmed our hearts that she cared about him. When she brought him back to us, she gave us all the time we wanted with Archie to hold and hug him and weep. She explained the procedure, and reassured us that it would only take seconds. Even after it was over, I held Archie and there was no rush for us to leave. Our sad experience, under the circumstances, could not have been more positive. I cannot say enough about the goodness of the doctors and staff at FVAH. We are forever grateful for their kindness and caring and sense of "family". And...now we have new kitten named Bruce, named after our favorite vet.

Best vet clinic I've ever been to. We went through a crushing experience with saying goodbye to our cat and they made us as comfortable as you could be in that scenario. They did everything they could for him and explained his issues much better than another clinic we went to for testing prior to visiting their clinic for a second opinion. We brought our other cat there for a checkup and they provided some great diet advice since we were worried about her becoming overweight. There are closer vets, but I like FVAH because the staff is incredibly friendly and I've had nothing but good experiences dealing with the veterinarians there. I recently had an incident with my yorkie which required her spleen to be removed. Dr. H was honest with me about our options and explained the possible outcomes of such a big surgery for such a little dog. She scheduled us in quickly and completed the surgery, took great care of her afterwards and followed up with a couple phone calls to my house to make sure she was recovering well. My staffy doesn't let anyone near his nails, lead along cut them. It has always been a huge struggle.. He is absolutely terrified and screams at the site of nail clippers. We are new to the area and I was on the hunt for someone who could cut his nails. The receptionist on the phone was so sweet and totally understood my concern. On the day of I made my husband take him in and I waited in the car because I can't bare to hear my dog scream. They were in and out in 5 minutes.. There is no better place to go than FVAH to ensure that your fur babies are getting the best possible treatment. Dr. Kerbrat is fantastic and has been treating my kitty Kara for the past few months, continuously following-up on her and getting her health back on track. She goes step-by-step with Kara's treatment and keeps me informed of every option and the reasoning behind her decisions along the way. Kara has seen Dr. Hartman as well who was great at diagnosing dental issues and setting-up a plan to have this taken care of. Kara is a very 'spicy' feline as she is terrified outside of her house but the entire team here adore her and treat her with such kindness and love. Dr. Horvat sees my other cat Nelson, diagnosed his arthritis and has kept him pain-free and mobile. She first saw him as a drop-off without an appointment, phoned me with her examination results and treatment plan and even offered to drop-him off to me on her way home because I don't drive. I have also boarded both cats here in the past and they returned home stress-free and happy. The receptionists are very friendly, helpful and always happy to see you and your pet. Even though you don't often see them, the techs and assistants in the back are on top of their game - quick, gentle and they get the job done while sneaking in some snuggles. We recently took a long holiday and our kitties stayed in the bird room. Coming home the traffic was terrible coming in to Abbotsford from Chilliwack on the #1 highway and I called the office and the vets were willing to stay past closing time so we could pick up our kitties that day. I was willing to pay extra but they did not charge us. Fortunately we were only about 16 minutes late. They understood how much we wanted to see our cats. I have known Dr Selander for 10 years - first when she was at a different clinic. I moved, then she switched clinics so I had to visit a different vet and clinic. I was unhappy with my experiences with other vets so when I learned she was locally in Abbotsford it was a no brainer to switch all my dogs back to her. Reconnecting with her could not have come at better timing! I had a dog that after birthing 8 puppies she had a dead puppy stuck in her birthing canal and one live puppy still. She was able to get my female in quickly and was able to save the last puppy (which of course ended up being my show/working prospect from the breeding). Dr Selander truly cares about the dogs, I was able to reach her and ask her questions any time. She is thorough and trustworthy. Throughout COVID I brought in 4 dogs and 8 puppies and had zero concerns handing them off, I knew they were in good hands. I had asked her to look into getting certified to do Pennhip and less than two weeks later she contacted me back to let me know she had completed the online portion and was ready for the practical stuff. I had a bad experience with poor hip positioning before with other vets and I discussed that with her. She positioned my dogs beautifully and they are x-rays to be proud to share. As a breeder it is invaluable to have a vet you can trust and also one receptive to new information AND genuinely cares about her patients. I wish all vets were like her and highly recommend her to anyone who asks! I have several friends who have started going to her as well now that she ventures into the reproductive field and they all highly recommend her as well!

A VET THAT REALLY CARES Axl is a 10 yr old bulldog. The Favorite One as I call him. I have been living in Abbotsford for almost 5 years and Axl has been having the same reoccurring problem with his eyes . The staff at FVAH are exceptional. We had to put our 16 year old Pomeranian down and as hard as it was the staff provided a private room to spend our last moments with him. Dr. Bruce sat on the floor with us as we cried. There was no pressure to leave the comfort room. Less than 48 hours later our little dog was viciously killed by a pitbull. Our daughter took her bloody lifeless body to FVAH to be cremated. When we picked up the ashes of both dogs, the staff had washed the blood covered collar so we could keep it. Was not expecting that/ They were so very compassionate in a bad situation. We will continue to take our cats there forever and if we get another dog, he will go there as well.

I cannot tell you how impressed I was with the Fraser Valley Animal Hospital. I was babysitting my mother's dog when she developed a very serious condition. I called several vets and no one would fit her into their schedules. The FVAH said that I could come in immediately. They were caring, professional, and knowledgeable. The care didn't stop when I took the dog home as they would call to check up on her to make sure she was getting better. Brought our cat in to treat a uti, (just pre-covid) was told it’s common in male cats and he would need to spend 3-4 days in their hospital, an IV and his glands would need to be expressed once daily. around 9am 3 days in a row I came in to visit him in a cage, in a room with brooms and storage supplies alone with an EMPTY food dish and NO yes I said NO WATER!!! OR OR OR A WATER DISH!! Concerned I nicely brought it up to a staff member who told me someone will be making their rounds for feeding and meds. 3rd day, full of heartbreak and anxiety I went in asked for my cat and agreed to pay for all services and products (NO meds were given as we were told IV was sufficient ) except for what fvah says was “Emergency hospital care” NO FOOD NO WATER ALONE IN A UTILITY ROOM WITH CAGES it’s not the money, it’s the Moral, the love, the passion, care, the obligation to LIFE. These people are doctors!!! In a pet HOSPITAL!!!!! Love our new team at our new vet hospital, no hospital stay, just a week of antibiotics, 2 gland expression visits and he was 100% back to business. FVAH is only shines on the outside!

When my vet clinic retired, I was very nervous trusting my fur children to anyone else. My vets recommended two vet clinics so I went with both at the time. Both were really great with my babies but I just gravitated towards the doctors and staff at the Fraser Valley Animal Hospital. I have never looked back! Dr. Hovat and Dr. Bruce sits on the floor with my Maverick, who has anxiety and physical disabilities...they treat him like how they would treat their own dogs. The staff (Nicole, Robbie, Robyn, Katie, Cara, Rena to name a few, sorry I can't remember everyone's name) are very knowledgeable, kind and will help you anyway they can...and if they do not know, they will find a way to get you the answers you need. I have had to use the Care and Campassion room when my furbaby was euthenized...what a lovely, relaxing and peaceful place to spend your baby's last moments. The staff gave me as much time as I needed until I was ready to say goodbye. Thank you FVAH doctors and staff!

I have been taking my cat there for almost a year now. We adopted her July 2015, knowing she had a history of behavior/peeing issues. A few months after adopting her, she started showing symptoms. So originally took her to a different vet, who tested her for crystals (she had been tested for this before, and came back negative) and again, came back negative. They were good with her, and really very nice, but I wasn't too sure about the medication they recommended. Looking for a second opinion, I took my cat to Fraser Valley. They called the last vet for all the test results, did a check-over of her, and were able to offer a few different suggestions on how to help with her issue. She's been happy and hasn't shown symptoms in over 6 months! The staff there are always very friendly, and they really care about the animals well being. After our trip to the vet, they gave me a call the next day just to ask how my cat was doing, and offered me some further advice. Some people might find the phone calls annoying, but I think it's sweet. They're always very understanding, and I never felt like they pushed me to do and tests (or other wise). I would absolutely recommend them. Thank you so much to all the staff at Fraser Valley Animal hospital for all your time, advice, and care you have given!

I called about a price for both Rabies and Parvo titer testing and was told $165. I confirmed it was for “BOTH TITERS, and not the vaccines?”. She replied yes, the price includes the office visit, blood collection and testing. Upon arriving for our appointment the price of $165 was confirmed. I asked if it was for the rabies and parvo titers, she said yes. 15 minutes later we were told that actually the $165 is only for the Parvo and they can do the rabies but its another $262. I asked to speak to the manager. She said that they could do the rabies test but would be an extra $262 despite previously being told $165 total. She did nothing to try to rectify their mistake. It was not until I mentioned it did she offer to review the price, but I said it was too late. After a few days I called the manager as I was not happy how the situation was dealt with. I asked her what her best price would be and she said $424. She blamed me saying I was very challenging and elevated. She said she was never given an opportunity to offer a discount. I noted that yes, I was upset however I did not yell or cut her off when speaking. I do not know what more she expected from me after my vet bill exponentially increased due to their staff. I said $424 meant she was only giving me a $3 discount. She said there was a $70 office visit fee on top of the $165 I was quoted…but somehow that too got misrepresented this entire time. As a side note, we previously took our dog in Christmas eve there as they were the only place that could see her. I was told to look at her 1 eye they had to charge a full exam. The vet asked to put 1 drop of dye in her eye, we agreed; the vet did not say it was extra and we thought it was part of the visit. Nonetheless they charged us a full exam fee, plus the eye dye, despite not rendering a complete exam. Guess we should have known they are only out for the money.

I have never felt good about taking my beloved pets to another vet however when our puppy got sick on Christmas eve and our regular vet was closed I was really impressed with the staff and treatment he received. We have always had a close family friend look after all our veterinary needs. He has unfortunately retired which left us with the dreaded task of finding a new Vet to trust with the care of our fur family. I chose this clinic based off the review found on this google page, and I was not disappointed. The staff are caring and compassionate, they made me feel comfortable from my first visit when my French bulldog required stitches. Our 5 year old pitbull recently became ill and we did not hesitate to book him the earliest appointment available. The morning I awoke I could tell he required immediate attention and the staff at the clinic were so kind to make time to see him early on a Saturday morning. His diagnoses was not good. The veterinarian was upfront and honest with our options. We did what we could but ended up losing him that evening at the Animal Emergency Clinic of The Fraser Valley.So hard losing a member of our family but I cannot say enough about the experience and care we received at this clinic.
