We have only had positive experiences at Fairview Animal Hospital. Each staff member is kind and caring. Our dog has been seen by two of the Vets there and we were impressed with the time they spent answering our questions. They truly care about the animals they see. We appreciate their follow up calls if our dog has had to go to an emergency clinic, for medication reminders or to follow up after our dog has been in to see them about a specific issue. A trusted animal hospital.

The veterinarian was very clear when he communicated with us and gave a fair and thorough breakdown of the costs for a minor operation on my Guinea pig. My animal was taken very good care of. This was my cat's first time at the vet since I got him and it was amazing. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and professional, and the space is clean and organized. When I arrived for my appointment time, they were ready for me and I got to head straight to the examination room with my cat. Dr Ramey tested my cat for a few things she thought may be related to his symptoms and we ended up with an explanation. She got him set up with proper medication and he already seems to be feeling better after only a couple of days. They were very gentle with him and even helped me out with shaving his fur mats. I will never go anywhere else. It was suuch a positive experience all around. Thank you Dr Ramey & the Fairview Animal Hospital Team :)

We have had our dogs wonderfully looked after for various injuries, problems, and a surgery and they have always gone far above and beyond with their care, attention, and helpfulness. Their work and facility is fantastic and they are very accommodating and reliable. Even one of our sick goats was diagnosed and treated here when we were in a tough situation. The team at Fairview have been so kind every time we have come for a visit. My dog has diabetes and sometimes needs a quick check to make sure his sugars are in line. They squeeze him in if I call and need him looked at. They also worked with me on his food to help control the diabetes.

Dr. Varinder cared for Noah overnight and made an action plan to take care of his painful tooth right away. Surgery went well & all my questions were answered. Very reasonable pricing. I have nothing but wonderful thoughts and a grateful heart for all the fine People at Fairview Animal Hospital.We are generational family-having lived and in this neighbourhood for so very long.Within the last 25 years alone.the staff at Fairview Animal Hospital have taken wonderful care of our beloved critters.That list includes --Sara Wee-Wox- MollyK--Tasha-Nugs Canute and just recently--Meara. At this time Nugs and Meara are the only ones still with us.The staff has made a huge contribution to the fact that Nugs still is with us.She is 9.5 years old and many people never would have given her those extra 9 years.The Drs were and still are amazingly wonderful. Nugs is the Golden and Meara is the little white kitten. Dr. Harris took care of my Golden Retriever from his first vet appointment until his last. She was with us the entire time (11 years), making sure he got the best possible care. I trust her advice over everyone else's. She has become a family friend and is truly a wonderful person who loves animals big and small. When my partner and I got our new rescue dog, a Rat Terrier, there was no question who her vet was going to be! Fairview Animal Hospital has also taken care of my family's cat for 11 years and counting. Couldn't be happier going here and won't be taking my pets anywhere else.

The staff here are absolutely wonderful at taking care of our menagerie of eight kitties! They care about our stress-aggressive cat as much as our easy-to-treat ones. They’ve helped us with basic checkups, vaccinations, a scratched cornea in our peke-faced kitty and chronic non-flea itching for another kitty. I can’t recommend them highly enough! I had to take my Bernese MD to a vet on a Sunday. My own vet was not open, and Fairview got us in, asap, without charging an emergency visit fee. Both Dr. D, and the girl who works with him, were SO amazing with my family and our dog. They went WAY over and above the call of duty, and didn't charge us near what they had a right to do. They loved on my girl as if she were their own, and even bathed her before returning her to me. I could tell that my dog so well cared for! This vet clinic is one to remember for sure. we took our dog to get spayed, it turned out to be the most devastating decision we've made. we were quoted a certain price for the procedure and when we arrived to pick her up it was the classic bait and switch,, he attempted to charge us double of the initial quote, i wish this was the worst part of my story. later that evening (after picking her up) she began bleeding profusely from her incision. we rushed her back to fairview animal hospital where he informed us she was bleeding internally and that he couldn't operate alone so he called in a second vet from the aldergrove area. a day later we were able to pick her up , when we arrived we were told she was weak from surgery , which is why she was struggling to use her back end,. when we got her home we realized that she wasnt struggling to get around in fact it appeared she wasnt able to use her hind end AT ALL, we took her back to faiview the next day to inquire about her hind, we were told this was normal for this size of dog after an operation. not convinced of this at all we took her to aldergrove animal hospital where it was confirmed he had paralyzed our dog!!!! aldergrove animal hospital also requested our records and when we were furnished a copy of them we realized that he completely lied on them. even so much as to say when we left from our final visit the dog was in good/fair condition!!!!! this man is dangerous and if you love your pets like we do TAKE THEM ELSEWHERE our dog will never walk again thanks to FAIRVIEW ANIMAL HOSPITAL our lives changed forever because of his negligence we've contacted the college of veterinarians and hopefully we can stop him before he cripples or even kills another families beloved pet * the back end weakness (you mean paralysis) is not part of the spay surgery....... and * and there are always complications in surgery.... which one is it bud? did the it have nothing to do with the spay or was it a complication? the sad thing about all the lies you tell people about your negligence is that your lies are actually being twisted up so much they are now contradicting themselves, the silver lining to this post is, every pet related business i have told my story too about you, has already heard bad things.... in a small town like this, if you don't start taking responsibility for your negligent actions that cause others harm you wont be long for this town, i am not done telling my story about you

Amazing service. I have a dog who has suffered with allergies for several years. We had been to different vets trying to figure out what could help her. We had tried many products, medications, and foods, and she had little to know relief. She had taken all of her hair off her legs and paws and she had hardly any energy (she was living her life like a cat; sleeping all day). One day I was out for a walk with her and someone stopped me and told me her story. Turns out she had 3 of the same breed of dog and two of hers appeared to have same issue (an untreated allergy with hair missing). This kind stranger told me about Fairview animal hospital, and what they did for her two, and how they are so much better. I went home and made an appointment, and wow, my dog, now less than a year later, has her hair back, her energy back, she's back to being a dog! We visit Fairview animal hospital every 25 days for a quick and painless injection, and it's done the world for my wee doggo. Can't say enough about this place.

Won't be back, front desk staff argued with me over the breed of my (purebred) dog, and still marked him under the wrong breed after arguing. Staff communication is horrible, when I went to get my dog's stitches removed from his head, the vet was looking under my dog and asked if he had been neutered? To which I replied no, you're removing the stitches in his head...would have expected the vet to know what he was doing... Id rather drive into Langley or Abbotsford to go to another vet in case of emergency again. Will never be back.

Our most recent vet appointment went better than expected and the vet was super great and friendly! She was able to fix up my oldest snake! Highly recommended for your reptile needs!

I brought my dog to Dr. Dain-Harris at Fairview Animal Hospital for the first time last week, and the experience could not have been improved. The staff were welcoming and very quickly took us to an exam room, a great bonus for my reactive dog - some vet offices have very crowded waiting rooms with lots of animals, and this is hard on timid ones. Dr. Dain-Harris did a very thorough exam and explained the issue very clearly. Both she and the vet tech were both competent and warm, making me feel that we were in very good hands. I have no reservations whatsoever in making this my new vet clinic.

We see Dr Harris for my bad cat & Dr Dibblee for our prized chinchilla! Dr Harris also treated my childhood cat until it was her time, (9 years ago) the professionalism & compassion shown during that time was more than above & beyond! Miracles happened & I spent almost an extra year with my beloved Kitty thanks to the optimal care! I swear Dr Harris loved my Molly almost as much as me & the love kept her here longer ❤️ Dr Harris is beyond patient with my naughty boy who has had issue after issue (temperament, gastro, bladder, eats things he shouldn’t) over the last 7 years, I don’t trust many people with my special boy. She has done a remarkable job! When my chinchilla came into my life I was so happy to find out an exotic vet was at my local clinic, and she was able to see Dr Dibblee! She had taught us so much about our little sweetie & she had been living her best life since being seen! We unfortunately were not feeding her the proper diet back then & they got us back on track without judgement! I would highly recommend anyone taking their beloved pets here! I would see the doctors here myself if I could! ????????

Unfortunately my only experience with this hospital was when my rabbit Pippin was extremely sick, I took him there. They were very straight forward and let me know that no matter what they did he might still pass away, they explained everything very clearly which I really appreciated. They let me know as soon as he passed away everything that happened, and were very sympathetic. They explained my options and helped me a lot. When I went in to say my final good-byes everyone was giving me their condolences. They even went above and beyond and sent me a card expressing their sympathy. Even though my experience was very sad they were extremely helpful and very caring.

Took my baby kitten there and was told to pay for for my next appointment in advance so I did and when I arrived to my next appointment I was told to pay more for things they didn’t explain. I was told he needed one needle at first but then ended up finding out he needed 4-5 to be spayed and neutered there. All at $92 per needle. For someone who is a first time cat owner it was not clear what he needed and found the costs were always increasing as well as the treatments he needed.

We called around to get one of our rats, Zeus, in for treatment for an eye issue and Fairview was very quick to get him in and took great care of him. He's an old boy but is doing quite well. I would definitely recommend this clinic!

I'm always happy with my visits to the Fairview Animal Hospital. All the staff genuinely care. I greatly appreciate the time they take to answer my questions and explain different therapeutic options and outcomes. Everyone has always been compassionate and accommodating when my dog is ill or needs emergency care - which is incredibly helpful since I'm also in distress when my dog is not well. Lastly, they follow-up! They always give me a call following any treatments to make sure my dog is responding well. Even after I took my dog to the Metro Emergency Clinic in Burnside (outside Fairview Animal Hospital's operating hours), the Fairview staff still called me the next day to follow-up and make sure he was doing ok. I would highly recommend this vet!

I always request an appointment with Dr. Harris. I think my 2 cats remember her and feel comfortable with her. All of the staff are great!

I find the Fairview Animal Hospital staff to be compassionate, caring, and very honest. There have been several times when I was expecting an expensive procedure for my dogs and they have told me it wasn't necessary. They keep my dogs healthy and happy, and don't try to take advantage of pet owners who will do anything for their animals.

I own a 3 year old "rescue" dog who can be reactive, especially with men. He could not be approached by the vet safely at his first appointment for his needles so she perscribed medication to be taken before his next appointment. The vet and her technician were extremely patient with him and persisted until he was successfully given his needles. I will be training to use a muzzle so the dog can go out in public for walks safety. I feel supported by the staff as I undertake this challenge

I am ever so grateful and a big thank you to Dr. Darvinder D at fair view animal hospital. A very kind, genuine and gentle man. Our kitty, Calli, went missing on Dec. 6, he told us we could put a poster of her in his window. Cali was found 12 days later, just a week before Christmas. She was too skinny and she had been bitten on her ear. We took her to this wonderful Doctor for an exam. He had her fixed up quickly; stitches in her ear, spayed, caught her up on all her shots, antibiotics and pain medications for a super unbelievable reasonable price!!! It’s a Merry Christmas for us! Highly recommend their services!

Tricky in Covid times to feel like you are getting good care sometimes but this was a really great experience. Went back the next day with a few concerns about my pup’s reaction and saw Dr.Harris. Again, amazing care and support and I felt very reassured everything was ok. I highly recommend this vet clinic.

I have been taking my pets to the Fairview Animal Hospital since they were on DVR. I have always gotten excellent service, the staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable. In particular, my dog Grace had several visits over the years, and I am thankful for all the help, advice and sensitivity that I received for her. Great service, and products as well! The most recent patient I have brought in is my cat Ani, a rescue who suffers from arthritis, among other things. I did not want to treat this with with drugs if possible. I was guided to the "Mobility" formula of the Royal Canin pet food, and have been rewarded as Ani has steadily become more mobile and playful. I will always prefer to take my pets here, and would recommend the same to anybody.

I have 3 Doberman’s and a Rat terrier. All had different problems and I went to Fairview animal hospital. Was very happy with the the service I received. The prices were very reasonable and the staff were gentle and caring with my animals. 2 of my dogs had surgeries and the vet called every morning for the first few days to make sure they were doing well. As a pet owner it’s very refreshing to see a vet so passionate about his work and at the same time , not hand you a bill that’s going to break the bank. Where ever you live this clinic is worth the drive. Very happy to have found this vet !!! 5 stars

I took my senior cat into Fairview Animal Hospital the other day and was seen by Griffin and Dr. Mika (?). I had had my cat into the Hospital a number of years ago but this was the first time I met this medical team. They were both very professional, knowledgeable and compassionate about my cat's situation. They recommended the best procedure to be followed explaining the benefits, cost and otherwise, of doing certain tests at this time rather than having to return for another consultation. They also explained when I would receive follow-up information. I am very pleased with their service and would not hesitate to visit them again should the need arise. I took my senior car into Fairview Animal Hospital in preparation for traveling into the US. Victoria, the vet assistant was very helpful, weighed and documented Winnie’s particulars and told me what the doctor would do in Winnie’s appointment. Then Dr. Harris came in and examined Winnie. They were both very gentle and compassionate. I received what I needed for travel and Dr. Harris even suggested an alternate medication to relieve some of Winnie arthritis discomfort. I would highly recommend Fairview Animal Hospital.

EDIT Feb 2019 The reception desk you see at the office was sold to Fairview Animal Hospital-Dr. Varinder and he has chosen to ignore my phone calls and not pay for it. Take your chances, if you use a vet who cannot afford $650 for a desk, you may want to think about what else he is skimping out on. I would never take my pet here. Also the other posts look like they are from people who know the owner. I can go on and on about this guy. April 2019 Update: as a result of me posting this on Google review, and weeks of asking for the money, he has finally paid only the basic amount, not the interest that is still due. Payment came only after months of asking him to pay, and listening to the countless excuses.

Went to Fairview Animal Hospital this past Sunday as my dog was having a flare up of his pancreatitis and our regular vet was closed. We saw Dr. Varinder Dabri and I told him my dog had pancreatitis that had been diagnosed a month before by our vet, and I was looking for antibiotics and fluids to help him. He told me he had to run a blood test to be sure and to come back later to get him after he got fluids. The entire time during the exam I did not feel like he was listening to what I was telling him about my dogs health history, which proved to be exactly the case. I had to call the office to get an update when he was supposed to call me, and it took an hour for him to call me back. When he did finally call, he avoided answering the questions I had about about the tests that were done and all he kept saying was that it looked like my dog has Cushings but that I needed to pay for another test to confirm it. I told him I was not going to do that and had to ask three times what time my dog could be picked up at. The entire phone call seemed like he was just trying to push for more tests. I arrived near the end of the day to get my dog per my instructions and Dr. Dabri was not even at the clinic any more to talk to me about my dog or answer any questions. The tech had no idea what was happening with my file. She processed everything and when I asked about the missing antibiotic I was supposed to be getting, she had no idea what I was talking about and had to call (presumably) Dr. Dabri to see. She then gave me amoxicillin (which is for something completely different than treating pancreatitis- my vet even told me to stop giving it to my dog and prescribed the proper antibiotics). I called my regular vet the next morning to tell them what happened and to book an appointment for a second, because I just didn't trust what I had been told. My vet contacted Dr. Dabri's office to obtain a copy of the records prior to my appointment the following day so they could review what had been done and the test results. When I arrived at my appointment with my vet, I was told Dr. Dabri and his office never sent the records. Thankfully I had asked for a copy of the bloodwork that was done when I picked my dog up, and my vet was able to review that. He advised the other markers were nowhere near indicative of Cushings, nor does my dog exhibit any symptoms of Cushings. I would not recommend Dr. Dabri or his clinic, even in an absolute emergency. They seem to not care about the animals and only about gauging you for money to run tests. I found them evasive about my questions and he offered no explanation about the test results whatsoever, so I don't know if he was trying to hide the fact there wasn't a true concern but was looking to get more money out of me, or if he genuinely doesn't know what he is doing. I was HORRIFIED when I saw the search results when I googled his name. These are common complaints dating back almost a decade. Please do your due diligence for the sake of your pet and research who you take them to before going to Dr. Dabri.

I could write a long, sad novel detailing the series of poor experiences we have had with this veterinary clinic. In the interest of efficiency, I will simply say that this vet has consistently failed to be competent, honest or responsible with the health of our pet. I acknowledge responsibility for continuing to patronize this business for so long; I wanted to believe there was some equity in their history with our pet. But from bungled prescriptions to misdiagnosis, unnecessary and inappropriate testing to unprofessional communication, this vet has missed every conceivable mark. There are have been a couple of doctors that have been nice to deal with. Sadly, the bad so vastly outweighed the good, here. I would strongly recommend against using this clinic.

I’m beyond sad that it’s come to the point where I’m having to post a negative review about this clinic. I’ve been taking my dog here for 6 years and spent a good chunk of money at the clinic over the years due to her health conditions and have never once questioned a bill. We had always had great experiences up until this summer. Dr.Mica unfortunately was unable to appropriately address our growing concerns re our dogs chronic diarrhea. I had to suggest a diet change and specific food which is something I feel she should have done from the beginning. Even more frustrating is their unprofessionalism when it comes to handling a complaint. The reviews stating they only seem to care about money appear to sadly be on point. I was essentially double charged for something and it took an unreasonable amount of effort to get this addressed and refunded. Finally, after having them transfer my dogs file to another clinic I spoke with Charlene the manager who stated she felt it was best I take my business elsewhere. She was aware I had already transferred my dogs file so her saying this was unnecessary and used as a way to put the blame on me which was beyond unprofessional. Instead of making clients feel like their concerns aren’t valid she could have apologized for the inconsistency I experienced with charges, communication, and ultimately care within the clinic. Had this been the approach taken I feel I would have never felt the need to escalate my complaints. I was refused information on how to escalate my complaint multiple times when asked as well. This experience heavily outweighs the good over the last 6 years. I urge people to seriously consider choosing another vet clinic. This clinic needs to do better as people and their pets deserve better.

I did not get my cat’s problem resolved at a vet I went to because all vets are very busy. She would not even look at the pill pockets, and never has. The cost of the pills was a waste of money. Fairview Animation hospital gave her a needle for the medication which is what she always gets. I called the other vet to see if I could bring the pills that had not been opened back for a refund, and did not get a response.I have been going there for 39 years, I highly recommend them. They responded as soon as I called. THANK YOU

I needed to get my dog's nails cut, I tried over and over to do it myself. She fell off my lap the last time. I took her to Fairview Animal Hospital, they cut her nails in just a few minutes. She allowed them to clip her nails because they provided her with treats. The best part of all was all they wanted for payment was a donation to a charity that helps out people pay for vet appointments who are financially challenged. How wonderful is that?

They fully explained their findings, gave me options for treatment, offered advice for things I could try on my own, and did all this for a very reasonable price. My beloved 15 year old dog took a turn for the worst rapidly over thanksgiving weekend. Shes 90 lbs and a car ride would have been impossible. I tried all 3 palliative home care euthanasia vets, and called many others. Sadly i read, we are “closed for holiday” and others told me new west was “too far” of a distance to go for a dying animal. Sigh.... thru a friend of a friend i was graciously hooked up with Dr Varinder. He came to our aid in less than 24 hours. Hes was kind , compassionate and professional . I worked here for a short period of time and I can say that the front desk staff are not professionals and do not have adequate training. As for Dr. Dabri, he is rarely actually in the hospital (leaving early) only spending a few hours in the facility for necessary procedures or being in his office. The animals being held are not appropriately monitored. I would not recommend bringing your pet here.

Our local vet recommended Dr. Dibblee and Fairview Animal Hospital after an eye infection made it necessary to remove on the left eye of our African hedgehog, Rosie. From the very beginning I was impressed with the thoroughness of the team as well as their willingness to accommodate us as we do not live in Halifax and had to travel for the surgery. The facility is lovely and very clean and all of the staff are friendly and, attentive, and caring. The vet tech who oversaw the anesthesia was very kind and thorough and made sure that we understood everything the procedure would entail and our options. Dr. Dibblee is an incredible doctor who explained everything to us and our options while being very sensitive and did everything possible to ensure that we and Rosie were as prepared for the surgery as possible. The surgery itself went incredibly well; the eye socket is very neat and closed up and looks clean and healthy and Rosie is back to her happy self only days after treatment. I honestly can't believe how well she looks after such a major surgery. Fairview provided clear instructions and easy guides for after treatment and the dosing of medications. They have been consistent and thorough with follow ups since the surgery via phone, email, and text which I really appreciate. Overall, I cannot praise Fairview Animal Hospital enough; they genuinely care about animals and do everything in their power to ensure the best outcome for pets and their families. I would recommend Fairview to any pet parent and I am very grateful for their assistance.

I've been taking my pets to the Fairview Animal Hospital for many years now. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming, it is always easy to book appointments (I usually request online and they confirm right away), and their prices are very reasonable! They also really care about your pets and will follow up after your appointment to see how your pet is doing, if necessary, and they send reminders for the next time your pet should be seen. A few times, I have also emailed them about my pets problem (with a picture if possible) to see if they recommended me bringing the pet in or not - it's nice to be able to save a trip to the vet and some money if possible, and they also give as much advice through email as possible and don't try to talk you into taking your pet there unnecessarily to make a few bucks. I appreciate their service very much!

I just want to start off by saying WOW! The team at Fairview is so caring, kind, gentle and they really are there for the pets health vs. money. My baby (kitty 3yrs old) had to stay for two nights due to a blockage... I took him home and sadly I had to bring him back.... you would think most pets would have a freak out going back there.... Not my little babe, he was so happy to be going back because he knew when he was there he felt better, that he was left in good hands... P.s. the first day I left him there I felt so much guilt I bawled my eyes out for 5 mins before I could drive away..... so worried about how he would be treated. Seeing how they are with him and how he is with them makes my heart so warm. They treat him as he is part of their family. If you have a chance to use them as your vet, you'll never want to find another! I hands down recommend Fairview !!!

Snowball was very sick and meowing loudly while walking with a arched back trying to go to the bathroom. She had some urine drop our several times. I saw some on the floor which looked like it had blood in it. I tried two emergency hospital, but the wait was about ten hours at one and five to six at the other. She was freeking out so I went home. I called Fairview hospital the next morning and they called around to see if I could get her in that day. While on the phone a cancellation call came in and they booked her for that. A couple of hours later she was seen. X-ray and Antibiotic shot later she was home.Doing better. Most of all for them, she did not give the doctor a hard time! Thanks to Doctor Dibblee and staff.
