In a word, they listen. I was able to ask "stupid" questions and they answered without making me feel stupid for asking them. The desk staff are friendly and willing to find out if they don't know. The vets are knowledgeable and give you all the information and invite you to ask questions. I LOVE they are trying to get people to use an App! Forward thinking, caring and friendly. I feel lucky they are close by, because I would drive a long ways to get this kind of service.

We had a very difficult day when we had to say goodbye to our nearly-16-year old border collie, Lucky. We'd had Lucky since two months old. After his health deteriorated rapidly during the final days, we made the heartbreaking decision to put him to sleep. Lucky had been a very healthy dog up right until the end....so healthy that we did not have a regular vet. After a recommendation from a family member, we brought Lucky to Eagle Hill to perform the euthanasia. Both staff and doctor were extremely compassionate in their end-of-life care for Lucky. They let me have all the time I needed to say goodbye, and took care of all the paperwork and payment in a private room away from the main lobby. Everything was explained clearly and in advance, so there were no surprises during the procedure. I would recommend Eagle Hill for anybody looking for a compassionate vet for their animal companion. Should we get a pet in the future, they will be my go to for veterinary care. RIP Lucky ... 2003-2019. :(

Unfortunately last December 23rd we had to make a very tough decision to put down our beautiful angel Hallie. It was very hard on our entire family, especially my children. The staff there were very compassionate and understanding and explained everything to us about the procedure so that there were no surprises. I felt as though they really did care about animals, which is what we all hope for in a veterinarian. I now bring my two new family members (cats) to this clinic for that same amazing care. Although my pet generally received good care at this animal hospital, I would caution others to check the medications prescribed for their dogs. My dog was on medicam for an extended period of time and after researching it more closely, I realize that I should have pushed for another, safer medication. This drug is very hard on canines with kidney disease. I take personal responsibility for not advocating for my pet harder by doing more thorough research on the medications prescribed for him.

Eagle Hill has gone above and beyond for my cat. I went to another vet in Maple Ridge and they were so dismissive and terrible, they suggested surgery right away. Went to Eagle Hill and they were so understanding of my concerns jumping to surgery. Gave me a few options and cost 1/10th of the estimate the other vet gave me. All the staff were so kind. I am eternally grateful to the staff who helped give me piece of mind and my kitty home safe and healthy ❤️

Was told that there were a couple vets that were ok with natural health. The vet that I saw was supposed to be one of these vets. She was nice until I mentioned feeding my dogs a raw food diet.

I went to this place initially for my now passed dog, the first visit and vet there that we saw had tests ran and told us his heart was “perfectly healthy” but he was already doing bad when we brought it and he was getting worse so we went back, and the second veterinarian there that we saw had a completely different answer, said his heart had been enlarged for a while and that he wasn’t gonna make it basically. Rinsed our pockets for nothing business should be shut down and the first one I saw should have their license revoked. I have many friends with stories about this place too. I went here based off the reviews and I wish I hadn’t they were able to put him down properly that’s about it.

The staff was amazing when we had to bring our "special needs" dog in on an emergency. The staff was more then willing to follow specific behaviour training plan we had in place, as well as allowed us to assist with medical procedures, therefore, reducing the additional stress on our dog. It was one of only a few vets that will take the time to get to know your animals and work at keeping them under threshold, which not only benefits the animals experience but also ensures that everything remains positive all around.

We've been taking our pets to Dr. Westendorf for 10 years now! He's semi-retired now so I often see other vets in the office. They've treated my four dogs for all kinds of conditions: kennel cough, teeth cleaning/removal, vaccinations, etc. We have found them professional, courteous and have fit us into their schedule without appointments when there was an emergency. Dr. Westendorf even came to our house to put our big dog to sleep when the time came. Can't say enough wonderful things about them!

My 6 month old kitten was having seizures, had a very low core temp and had stopped breathing on me at least 3 times before I got here. I honestly thought she dead not coming back. All I could initially say when I got there was help her. Please, help her. They did. She came home that night and was watched very closely. We brought her back the next day for a check up and to have the IV removed. As I type this Dhommy, the kitten they saved, is asleep on my chest. Thank you so very much.

It was VERY obvious the front desk lady on the phone just didn’t feel like doing absolutely anything. That is what I call bad customer service. When you are too lazy to bother to do your customer service, you fail at customer service.

We recently adopted a dog from Mexico. We went to our old veterinarian first and he was very nervous. We were unable to go inside with him due to their covid-19 polices and they were unwilling to make an exception. Instead, they offered to sedate Chili and give his vaccines that way. Eagle Hill Animal Hospital was much more flexible and understanding. They allowed us to come into the clinic, wearing masks, and sit with him during his vaccines and blood draw. The veterinarian was very kind and gentle. He took his time to make Chili feel more comfortable. We are so grateful for their compassionate care.

We did not have a good experience with Eagle Hill/Hill n Dale. They misdiagnosed our cat's condition for 4 years. I won't get in to specifics, nor attempt to drag them through the mud publicly, as it is clear from reviews here that EH has provided relief to numerous families and have helped many animals, and I know the job they do is not an easy one. What I will say is that, if you are an EH client and you don't feel that they are giving you the time you need and aren't looking in to things thoroughly enough for you, then press them to do better. Don't just accept the first fast answers they offer. If they still can't/won't provide what your pet needs, then don't hesitate to find another clinic that will. Better sooner than later. There is a vast selection of veterinarians in the Fraser Valley, and likely one out there that is just right for your pet.

Just another vet only there to take money. My dog has struggled with skin issues for a long time now and instead of figuring out the problem they used guess work to try to solve it. Medications that didn’t work, expensive food and a steroid shot (that was only supposed to be given when the skin was clear I should add) once a month that offered no solution whatsoever. All the while racking up hundreds of dollars in bills per month with no solution being found. Felt like I just wasted my money on guess work. Wouldn’t recommend seeing them.

Service is great... But their prices are out of line with almost every other animal clinic I have visited, by a few hundred dollars. Asked for the rabies shots for my dogs, forced to pay for a "checkup" as well. I just asked for the shots, why are we going through this? Edit: after receiving a reply... My dog went in for rabies updates, had to postpone because of a different thing that required antibiotics. Fine, get the drugs, fix the dog, get the shots. Dog had a general examination at first visit. Time passes, dog is fixed from antibiotics, phone to get rabies shot... Cost is the standard 35 plus tax... And another general exam! He just had it and you know it but you won't budge on it. Fine. I'll go elsewhere. You say everyone does this... Guess what, they don't. My business does not belong with a company that Nickle and dimes. The service was great and friendly. The prices however, are way out of line despite what you claim.

These people almost killed our dog. After months of putting our dog through bloodwork after bloodwork and writing wrong prescription after wrong prescription, never returning our calls with results, demanding more and more tests, we went and got a second opinion and was immediately told what the issue was and we can already see the difference in her after 2 days. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR PETS!! They had no remorse for the damage they caused and our dog would have died if we didn’t get a second opinion! I just I wish we had gone somewhere else sooner.. Dr Westindorf was our vet for 20 years here and we will always hold him in the highest regard but since he was forced out, this place has become a complete joke. Save your pet the pain & suffering, and save yourself some stress and money, go somewhere that will actually try to help and do their job.

I have been using eagle hill for a while now for regular checkups and unfortunately a few urgently needed appointments. My dog had ripped her nail one morning and it was pretty bad and of course bleeding. Due to my schedule I wasn't able to take her to the vet when they had an opening that day, nor was I able to stop the bleeding and cleanup the nail. Eagle hill was accommodating and I was able to leave my pup there for them to look at and clean up the nail and see if she would need the nail removed. (you pay a hospitalization fee I believe but it was worth it). I have never had hidden costs in my vet bills either.

I brought my cat in for a pre-surgical exam and found the staff to be friendly and efficient. As a bonus, we discovered that my cat had already been neutered, so after a quick flea treatment we were on our way. Great place. Clean, bright, and friendly. Would recommend.

I'm new to mission and tried to book an appointment at eagle hill for all the fur children so we would have a vet close to home. I had requested and "check up" and routine vaccines for 2 dogs and 2 cats, but due to Covid and the fact that I wasn't even allowed inside the clinic they only saw my one dog who had a limp on her back leg. They took money for X-rays, no vaccines, and said surgical intervention was the only thing they would discus. (ps:this dog is now on full time CBD and a few months in a brace and has not even a hint of a limp anymore) Then this past Sunday I called with an emergency 1/2 hour before they closed. Explained that even though they hadnt seen this specific dog, I was a client and I needed help. Even though she needed stitches, and had half her eyelid ripped off. They refused to see her based on the fact that "they didn't have a file for her". The only reason this dog doesn't have a file is because she has debilitating separation anxiety, and is extremely fearful of men which is why she never visited the clinic alone during Covid in the first place. We now use a fear free clinic in Abbotsford, that not only understands the word emergency, but will treat a sweet fearful dog right down on the ground where she feels safe. F this place. I have never in my life been treated this way by an establishment which in the past has taken money from me. My old clinic in Langley not only saw me after hours when my cat was poisoned, but saw me on a Saturday Sunday AND STATUTORY HOLIDAY WITHOUT ANY EXTRA CHARGE because they were in it for the right reasons and wanted to make sure the treatment they administered was working before he was too far gone. So Eagle hill staff. I'm glad you got to go home on time and I hope your dinner was excellent. I understand we all have families and a quitting time, but sometimes compassion and moral ethics towards the animals you're allegedly here to serve should take precedence.

I am so happy with my experience with Dr. Lisa Watt at Eagle Hill Animal Hospital! My dog was in crisis when I called. They got me in quickly and Dr. Watt made an initial diagnoses which was then confirmed by tests that they were able to do while I waited. We're on a treatment plan now, and my dog is no longer in crisis. Knowledgeable, compassionate, professional. I highly recommend Dr. Lisa Watt!!!

My dog is my pet, companion and also my service dog. I have been taking her to this place since I got her. Almost 12 years ago. She has never been sick s day in her life and we have only gone in for regular visits for shots and such. On Thursday,June 3rd I called them as she had been unwell for a couple days. I was very concerned as you can imagine. After giving our names and explaining her symptoms and my concerns, I was told they could not see her for 8 days. I told them that was no good and explained again how bad she seemed and the amount of yes. we had been going there. She then said I could come and drop her off on Sunday. I declined as I need her and she would hate being without me for so long. Again I was told not until next Thurs. I phoned another vet in Mission and they said I could bring her in right away even though they were very busy. Needless to say they are my new vet now and will never take a pet of mine to Eagle Hill. The good thing is they lost a good chunk of money by not being a loyal company. Don't go here if you are looking for a vet that cares about your pet.????????????????????????

The doctors and staff at Eagle Hill Animal Hospital are so kind and caring. I super appreciate that they are open weekends (including Sunday). When my poor little Stella ate part of my husband's sock, instead of jumping to the conclusion of needing expensive surgical options, the suggestion was 2 tbsp. of olive oil at home and "wait and see". While I was skeptical, sure enough this option worked for my puppy. I fully trust and respect the staff at Eagle Hill and highly recommend them to everyone. You won't find a more caring staff that are willing to be cost effective with their treatment plans when it makes sense.

Her spay went very well, and my total was well within the estimate. I can only imagine how hard it is for staff to deal with clients without being able to see them due to Covid, but they made the experience as good as possible under the circumstances. I felt my questions were answered and her treatment was excellent.

Eagle Hill is the best vet in town. I have a rescue dog and with the new covid protocols I was worried about my dog going into the vet alone, but the staff was so kind and patient with him. He even walked out of the office with his tail wagging. The staff is friendly and helpful and they’re very fast, I wasn’t waiting in my car long! I can't say enough good things about Eagle Hill! My dog has always had anxiety when visiting vets in the past, but with Dr Jarrar he was comfortable. The receptionist and other staff were all super friendly and. accommodating The costs were reasonable and everything was explained throughly. The vet followed up with lab results and even called a second time to clarify everything from those results so I could better understand what was happening. I look forward to bringing both my dogs here for any veterinary needs they have in the future.

Absolutely horrible experience! I and my husband came with our kitty Buddie yesterday on December 4th, 2018, 2:30 pm My kitty went through painful and lengthly euthanasia with 3 x shaving, 3 x probing and 2 x injections before the poor kitty died. I can call it hell. The comments from the doctor were: he is fighting for his life, it is not uncommon for old cats. We left the place with broken hearts. I called the vet later that day with the complaint and was put on hold. The doctor returned my call, but he had nothing to say that would make more sense to us. During the painful process I felt and I saw a lack of compassion for the poor animal.

We moved to Mission almost three years ago and I had to find a local vet for my cat, Marley. Eagle Hill had the best reviews so I tried them out. With the exception of a one time, late night emergency visit for a new kitten we got, I have been going to them exclusively ever since. Marley was gradually losing weight and becoming lethargic. I brought him in a couple times and tests looked fine. Last week he was having a bad day. Laboured breathing, sleeping all the time, vomiting and not eating. I called hoping to get him in that day and sure enough they got him in that evening. After the recommended testing it was discovered Marley was suffering from heart disease among other issues. The doctor explained the prognosis and what life would look like for Marley if we decided to try and treat it. We made the hard decision to put Marley to sleep. The compassion and reassurance that we were doing the right thing was extraordinary. They walked us through the entire procedure and gave me all the time I needed to say my goodbyes, despite the fact that they were closing for the day. They did not rush us and they made it as comfortable for us and for Marley as they possibly could. They sent a sympathy card in the mail along with Marley’s paw prints which was amazing. It happened to arrive today which is the ten year anniversary of me bringing Marley home. I will continue to use them to care for our younger cat and highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you to the staff for caring for our fur babies and for caring for us in our time of need.
