Last night my best friend called in to this supposed 24hr vet clinic because her beautiful dog was suffering from some of the worst seizures a dog can go through. She called because for 1 she had been going there for a year and she needed help at about midnight. All the doctor could say was "he will be fine" , "just leave him be and come in at 6 when we open" , "just give him more drugs". As my friend sat on the phone crying because her best friend was dieing in her arms she was confronted with zero compation from a vet that didn't care. He said to her that it wouldn't be worth it to bring him in and atleast TRY to help him. What vet in his right mind wouldn't atleast TRY to help a dog that is dieing!? Isn't that your job!? Do you not care?! Now because of his negligence my friends dog passed away. Who knows maybe he could of saved his life or maybe not, but in a case like this that doesn't matter. If you dedicate your life to be a vet and help animals but refuse to help when a client has no where else to go, that in my eyes is as pathetic as can possibly be. I hope you loose sleep at night and realize that you could have done something to help. Now my friend has to explain to her 2 young daughters why their best friend isn't coming home. Thank you.

We brought our family dog in to this establishment and an individual named kuldeep Chahal was called in to perform surgery on my dogs foot. He did not secure the flesh and only did a horrible job stapling his foot. The original bandage fell off his foot requiring me to go in one day later. I found out it was infected due to to much moisture and would require redressing. Due to the irritation of the infection my dog worked around the cone at night and tore his bandage to get at the infection. I really didn’t understand until my vet placed him under and repaired the damage. suturing both the flesh and the pad. He is on track for a great Recovery due to the amazing work of the second vets care to detail and quality of work. When I confronted doctor chahal he told me it was an emergency and that stitching the flesh first didn’t matter. We are currently pursuing actions against this vet and would ask people to contact me with concerns they have had. I would also like to say if you have the option to go else where I would due so the added pain and suffering to my boy was not required had he done the repairs correctly the first time.

I have to give a HUGE shout out to the staff and vet here! My families dog was basically sent home to die by another animal hospital and I refused to let that happen. I called Cheam View and spoke with a woman on the phone who was ready and willing to help us with getting answers and getting our dog healthy again! As soon as we brought him in they hooked him to an IV Flush and administered medication. After being told that our dog would need a blood transfusion and surgery by another animal hospital we didn't know what to expect but he recovered from what was possibly mushroom poisoning and is back to his old self!! Thank you to everyone that cared for him and took such good care of not only him but us as his family!! This will be his vet from now on if he needs anything!

Best vet experience I've ever had. Such friendly vet assistants and vet. Dr.Chahal is such a great vet and you can defiantly tell he cares a lot about the animals. I have 3 cats and he always treats them so well and gives them a kiss. Best place to take your animals for sure!

My brother was really happy with the service he recieved when he took his cat in for an emergency visit. He said he was shown the xrays too, which is something that never happens! Definitely think I'm going to be bringing my kitties when I need to.

$250 for a "FREE EXAM"?! That's a complete rip-off! Free is free...it doesn't magically morph into a $250 charge. And then an additional $250 to spay?! You've got to be kidding me. SMH Save your money, people. Go to any other vet in town.

WARNING, DO NOT COME HERE FOR ANY EMERGENCY SERVICES. I am absolutely appalled by how I was treated by dr.kuldeep chahal during this super emotional and traumatizing event. My poor puppy’s (9weeks old) got into something which resulted in them getting super ill (one was life threatening). I came in at 7am with the puppy’s and I specifically told they lady working I only had 925$ she had assured me that this was fine and we would work this all out and they would save my puppy’s. So I paid and left, NOT once did I receive a phone call about added on procedures I had to make all contact to know what was going on. At 830pm I was told the puppy’s are ready to come home. I came to the vet with the pups mom to pick them up. When I got there I was told that I needed another $600 dollars to be able to take them home and another $1477 owing. I told them I could leave them with all my contact information (even my sin and driver license #) and I would come back in the morning with with ALL the remaining money that my mother was willing to help but she had fallen asleep and I couldn’t get ahold of her. I felt the puppy’s had been through enough and needed to be home with their mom. They refused to return my puppy’s to me, even manipulating me into giving them the healthy mother dog. To get back all my dogs including the mother WHO WAS NEVER EMITTED I would have to pay. At 10pm I left without any of my animals. I returned in the morning 8am with ALL THE OWING Amount then I was told I would not be allowed to take my dogs until the vet came. My mother who I am glad was with me had to threaten with police action for them to release the dogs. When I got my dogs home they were acting hungry I put down food they attacked eachother for it which they NEVER do which means they were super hungry they ate sooo much. So that leads me to believe the dogs were not fed while there. Also while talking to people I know and my personal vet I realized they have a bad reputation for over charging and taking advantage of people in an emergency situation. I will be reporting this to authorities.

A late night emergency for our pet was handled clearly and calmly reassuring us we did the right thing by bringing him there immediately. A thorough examination and treatment had our pupper %100 in about 18hrs. Vet was informative and clear on the possibilities up front. Stressful times of course but if you find yourself in need of emergency vet be reassured this is absolutely the right place to take your pet.

Whenever trying to call this clinic, I'm immediately put on hold. I'm not asked if this is an emergency or nor not. They just answer and go "Cheam View Veterinary, HOLD" and then put me on hold. Tired of this, so unprofessional. At least ask the question its not that hard. I did end up holding or 20+ minutes and ended up hanging up.

Melissa and the other wonderful staff stayed by his side and took such quality care for him and truly truly love each and every pet that comes in. We took our dog to this vet on December 11th because a big lump appeared in her groin and she was vomiting. We suspected it was a hernia but the vet here very confidently told us it was not. He then proceeded to ask us what she had gotten into because he thought she had a blockage. He didn't seem to believe me when I told him that she hadn't gotten into anything. He wanted to do x-rays etc of her stomach to look for a blockage. We declined because we knew she hadn't gotten into anything. Since it wasn't a hernia we had them do a cytology of the lump. They said we would get a call with the results in 48-72hrs. Well, long story short, we wound up at another vet over the weekend who immediately told us it was a hernia and that she would need emergency surgery. I wasted $275 at this vet for them to a) tell me it wasn't a hernia and b) take a sample of my dog's intestines and c) not even have the decency to call me with the results (it's been almost 3 weeks) and say that they messed up. Don't waste your time here, rather drive a bit further to a more qualified 24hr vet.

I brought my dog to this vet for an after hours emergency. She had eaten something on a hike/bike trail, and she was showing symptoms of being poisoned. After seeing her, the vet thought it was likely that the dog at human feces with high levels of THC (from someone high on edibles). Given where we were hiking, and how the dog was acting, it seemed to make sense, and in the end, I believe he was right. She was simply stoned. For that, I give the vet credit. For everything else - these guys were absolutely terrible. The details are too many to recount here, but generally speaking, this vet over-treated and over-medicated my dog. After consulting another vet, they could not believe all the extra injections and medications they gave her (7 shots, 5 different medications, in only 8 hours) - and the two medications they wanted to send me home with. When I asked what each of the medications were for, they responded with hostility and a very condescending attitude. Dr. Chahal also wanted to do tests on a mysterious "lump" he found on her back thigh, and I caught him just before he was about to sedate and x-ray my dog - without my permission! We brought her in for emergency poisoning - not anything to do with her leg. She wasn't limping at all, and was in no way indicating any kind of pain. There has never been any kind of lump or bump there - I checked thoroughly and regularly for weeks - and today (about a month later) she is as healthy as could be. The vet bill came to just under $1,000, when according to other vets I checked with for this kind of emergency visit/stay, it should have cost about $600. My gut tells me that they gave her everything they could, and tried finding excuses for unnecessary treatments and medications. And when asked to justify what they were for, they were argumentative and would not give direct and clear answers. As one other commenter posted, they talk around in circles trying to explain what they gave or did to your pet, like an overexcited sales pitch. But when asked to justify any treatments/medications, it seemed like he was grasping at straws. Dr. Chahal was also inconsistent in his explanations, switching from one line of reasoning to a completely unrelated one. I believe they saw an opportunity to milk an emergency situation. There was no lump or swelling on her back leg - nor has there been since then. She was not limping, and not indicating that there was pain there. How on earth could he justify sedation and an xray to just "see" if something was wrong?! They were about to go ahead with it when, by chance, I checked in and stopped them. To me, these guys appeared super shady, and I will drive to an Abbotsford or Langley clinic if I ever need emergency care for my dog again.

I would not recommend visiting this place unless you want to be spoken to in a condescending fashion while the staff guilts you in to unnecessairily spending. Heres what my experience entailed. I brought in a 2 year old DSH feline to be seen for dental issues. I brought this cat from Ontario where I was a volunteer and foster care provider at a rescue, so ive delt with many clinics, both honest and dishonest. I was told that i booked him to get checked out and that i sasaid he has FiV. This is a bold faced lie, he never has tested positive and i brough vet records record, since his birth, to show proof. They still went ahead and did blood work and tests for FiV and charged me $318 for a vet visit that should have consisted of a visit ($20) and 2 scripts ($45) before booking him for a cleaning next week but now ill be going to cottonwood with its 137 great reviews. I refuse to use a service that is emotionally abusive towards its clients with full intentions of inflating costs.

First visit today for a check up on our 2 pugs and the first thing I noticed was they really care about your animals. Other places we've been to, made us feel like we're just another customer with money. The staff was very friendly, and knowledgeable, I know I can trust them with our dogs. "A vet is guilty of PROFESSIONAL NEGLIGENCE if they don’t meet the standard of care based on what other vets would reasonably do in the same circumstances. NEGLIGENCE is harm, loss, injury, or damage of some sort. For example, a vet might prescribe an inappropriate course of treatment and your pet dies or is PERMANENTLY DAMAGED as a result." This is EXACTLY what happened to my poor dog at Cheam Veterinary Clinic. My golden retriever had an issue with his ear. We mistakenly took him to Cheam View Veterinary Hospital. However, after a few days, my dog's ear started to look a lot worse than it did before we took him there. He also would whimper a lot and just lay on the floor looking sad. So we called the clinic, and they "tried" again. The day after that he looked even worse, So I took him to a different vet to see what had happened. Well, according to the real vet, Cheam Veterinary Clinic had just charged us $2000.00 for 2 botched surgery attempts and on top of that, according to a real vet, BOTH surgeries were perfomed WRONG. Also, the real vet told us that because the surgeries were done wrong, they cant fix any of the damage done by Cheam Veterinary Clinic without doing greater damage to my dog. According to the real vet, because of Cheam Veterinary Clinic's negligence, my dog's ear had started to go necrotic (tissue dying) causing him extreme pain and as a result of the botched jobs, will now most likely lose most of his his ear AND hearing. According to the real vet, my dog had been in extreme pain because of the butchery done to him at this abattoir. So I called Kuldeep Chahal, owner of Cheam View Veterinary Hospital, to let him know what happened, but he did not appear to be at all surprised, like this was not the first time he had experienced something like this, which was very strange and very concerning. His response to this horrific tragedy was to lie and then deny any responsibility, accountability or liability and said that, even though he owns and works at the clinic, AND claims that all he did was 'assist' in the procedures, (B.S!!! ) , that none of it was his fault. Your clinic, your responsibility, whether you like it or not, ethically AND LEGALLY.!! I said I ought to take you to court. He said go ahead and sue me, I have insurance. REALLY? That's how you respond? Instead of trying to fix the situation or make it right, all he did was argue with me and basically, express that he didn't give a damn about me, my dog or anything that had happened to him at his clinic. When I asked for my money back he told me to go pound sand. I have filed formal complaints with the BC College of Veterinarians and the Better Business Bureau. If you take 5 minutes to search this place online, things like this are apparently a REGULAR occurence!! WOW!!! Why aren't the police and the province after this guy and his wife? (owners). AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE A PLAGUE. DO NOT TAKE YOUR POOR ANIMALS TO THIS WILLFULLY NEGLIGENT, APATHETIC, LYING, COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT, SLAUGHTERHOUSE!!!

My friend took her dog in today to get him healthy again. he wasnt feeling well at all and their vet that they usually go to didnt have the doctor in today. NEVER EVER go to this vet even if your pet is on the verge of dying. My friend tried to call them to see what's wrong with her dog and to get updates and she kept on being put on hold. How the heck is a vet allowed to do this??? Her dog is her child. This is EXTREMELT irresponsible and I wouldn't trust this vet ever again. Her dog ran out from being terrified and her dog is never like that. Please dont go to this vet ever.

I can’t say enough good things about this clinic! My 4 month old Rottweiler pup, Zeus got terribly sick in the middle of the night. I have previously had to drive to langley for emergency care but I’m so glad I discovered Cheam View! It was around 1am and my call was answered readily. They accepted me right away and told me to bring my puppy in. The doctor took a very thorough history and explained everything in great detail. They started the treatment immediately and turns out my pup had ingested something poisonous. I was very impressed with Dr. Chahal as he regularly updated me and patiently addressed all my concerns. Super friendly, kind, & knowledgeable staff.. and they surely know how to treat a patient and their worried families. A big THANK YOU to Dr. Chahal and team for accommodating me at a very difficult time and saving Zeus’s life! And to my surprise they charged me way less than what I had paid for an emergency visit a few months ago!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND !

I've been taking her to a vet closer to home, but on the weekend things became more serious and a friend recommended I take her in to Cheam View, as that's where she takes her cats and they've always been wonderful. The doctor and staff took such wonderful care of her, she was at ease with them, and they actually figured out what's going on with her after all this time! She's been to two other vets and neither even did blood work. I'm just so thankful for Dr. Chahal and all of the staff that treated Nala and gave her love. They put both of us at ease and I can't thank them or recommend them enough.

Staff and Doctor were very helpful. Charges were surprisingly reasonable. Communication has a little room for improvement but a good experience nonetheless.

What an amazing Dr and staff! I was in total crisis after my sweet 15 year old chihuahua/Pomeranian was viciously attacked and almost killed by another dog. We were camping and from Calgary when it happened so I knew no one here. I was directed by police to this clinic and Dr. Chahal was honest and caring. He was convinced he could save my dog, so after 3 hours of intensive surgery, he made it through. A different vet would have put my dog down. The tech staff were completely involved and caring. There were so many people who told me I was in good hands here. Yes, there were wait times, but everyone was willing to wait as he was so good. Seven days later, my 15 year old best friend is healing and walking! Dr Chahal said “I can save him” and he did! Thank you so much to this clinic for allowing my little guy to keep living his life. Please…don’t give up on your dog! This clinic is awesome!

My kitty bear had emergency services here when he had an allergic reaction. They were very informative, kitty did great following visit. They also made me aware their neutering costs were less then my local vet. I decided to book here, procedure was smooth, kept my cats cone on for 10 days. From when I brought my kitty home I could see the end patch up was almost unnoticeable unlike my last kitty. Following the meds, (I think there was 4 days following he had meds) he was lethargic in soreness I assume maybe half a day (he had only been acting lethargic and whiny when the meds were getting to the 12 he mark) and then he was almost back to normal. I checked his ear tattoo everyday, and because the scabbing hadn't gone from that yet I assumed the same with the incision point so I left the collar on. The scabbing on the incisions point is just falling off at 10 days, however my kitten doesn't seem to mind! Great place!! Went to my regular vet after Bear had another allergic reaction, they were twice the price and I couldn't afford the full work up. Luckily I could afford to treat him symptomatically and he was back to normal the next day, however for future appointments, ill be attending cheam view. So much more care without the worry that I can't do everything necessary for my little ball of fur. Thank you for being affordable and allowing us all to keep our pets healthy

The main vet is hard to understand, and highly manipulative. He pretended to let out a tear when I had to put my beloved dog to sleep and then 30 seconds later, I hear him in the next room over, laughing hysterically. I couldn’t believe the facade this guy would put up. Staff is ok but very slow. Money was never an issue but even after charging me $1400, they couldn’t even get to a proper diagnosis and by then it was too late for my dog. Go elsewhere if you can. I sure wish I did.

They do great work, but charge a lot. Most Vets do shots all together especially after being neutered, or spayed, but not these guys. They charge separately just to get that extra money. I now have 4 cats that need shots, and boosters but will have to wait.

Love this vet. Dr. Chahal and his entire team truly care for the animals they work with, and it shows in everything that they do. I had been happy taking my pets here for the last year,and after my recent experience I know I won't be choosing another vet for as long as I am in Chilliwack. Dr. Chahal saved my dogs life this week, performing an emergency surgery to remove her severely infected uterus. If it wasn't for our decision to act immediately and Dr. Chahal's performance during surgery, she would be gone. I can't say enough good things about this vet, and highly recommend them.

I didn’t want to write this but after reading reviews it sadly seems I’m not the first it happened to. December 20th, around 2am, my dog started losing her bowels but was still breathing. I frantically call this place, being the only “24 hour” vet remotely close in dire situations, and tell the vet how I believe my dog is dying and needs help immediately, and for him to say nothing besides “we’re closed”. Which led me to having to drive to the second closest one in Langley which was over an hour drive, where they told me after looking at her that her heart stopped beating shortly before arriving. I’m not saying that this place for sure WOULD have saved her. But they definitely had the chance to try and help, and didn’t even consider taking the time to help. I don’t think this guy has love for the pets that he does deal with, and I would avoid going here at all costs, even if he gives the chance to take a look at your loved ones. If you want to take your pet somewhere that will take care of your pet past normal closing hours don’t waste you time here, take it to the 24h one in Langley. They took great care of our little one, gave us our time/space saying our goodbyes, and really showed their condolences to us and made us feel comforted.

Dr. Chahal is great in an emergency situation he is available 24/7. Emergency vet fee is $55.00 compared to other places $155.00- $180.00 He has saved my dog and cat. Quality of care for my pets was above and beyond. He did all the procedures that were appropriate and necessary. His vet assistant Jasmine is kind, compassionate and very good at listening to your concerns.

As our dog was potentially nearing her last days, we were originally going to another clinic in Sardis. We were so disgusted with the "care" we received there that we came to Cheam clinic for a second opinion. Here we were treated kindly and professionally by Dr. Chahal and ALL the wonderful staff here. I was very impressed with how Dr. Chahal listened to us and tried to do his best to help our dog without suggesting ridiculously expensive and unnecessary treatments since our dog always had a strong heart murmur from birth. We did have to put our beloved pet down, we were treated with the utmost respect and understanding through the whole process. I will definitely bring my next dog here.

We took our 11 year old cat here recently for a abscess drainage, we were initially told they would be using a local freezing on the area to drain her infection, fast forward to us picking her up 8 hours later only to be met with our limp, barely breathing sweet girl. They put her under anesthesia not once but twice and failed to let us know that this is what they would be doing. Claimed that her infection had spread and that it could take some time for her time come to, she had been normally eating and drinking and playing all morning prior to her visit. She passed away at home the same night we picked her up. The contact was minimal, the information was lacking, and the overall remorse was disgusting. We paid a $300.00 bill only for our cat to die hours later in our home. We will never come back or recommend their services.

We had an emergency situation with our fur baby fluff last weekend where we ended up having to take him into cheam view because they were the only vet open within an hour drive of us. They got him in within hours of our call, were so caring, and had found issues with fluff that our regular vet hadn't found. From the emergency to the ongoing issues, they treated in all with an overnight stay and 5 days of meds. Fluff is a completely different cat now, he doesn't meow as much, hes happier, healthier and his coat has been amazingly soft since he came home. If I ever need anything for my fur babies this will be where I take them from now on. They went above and beyond. Thank you so much!

My 10 year old cat escaped our house and was hit by a vehicle and brought to this animal hospital by a neighbour(my cat was there for 2 hrs) With a broken pelvis and two broken rear legs the vet advised me off his injuries. Offered up some extensive things that they could try and do. But after hearing that if I hadn’t called back with in the hour they would have put him down anyways so I made the decision to put him down while in children’s NICU with my baby. The receptionist was about to tell me the cost and then stuttered and shied away in mid sentence and explained she would send the receipt via email. I assumed a price from a past experience with euthanizing a small cat and, though, at the time thought the lady’s behaviour was off I had a lot going on and didn’t think to get clarification. I was billed over $300 and given no receipt or explanation for the higher charges. My experience with this animal hospital just doesn’t sit well with me and based on that I wouldn’t recommend it.

Worst experience.. Today marks 1 year we had to put down our sweet dog who was only 3. The vet kept telling us all she had was weak bones and we would tell him it something more, but he wouldn’t listen and would tell us just to give her a vitamin (that cost a fortune). Our dog only got worse.. We ended up taking her to a different vet in Sardis who confirned our dogs knees were completely shot.. If this was caught in time all our pup needed was a knee brace to strengthen her knee and build her strength back up and she would still be with us today ❤️ This vet in Sardis was completely honest with us and not trying to sell us stupid vitamins that did absolutely nothing except empty our wallet. I do not recommend this vet at all. I wish he would have been honest and not trying to sell us on vitamins that only benefited his wallet!! He has caused so much heartbreak!! Do not go to this vet!!!

I brought my puppy here for a health clearance and vaccinations and was happy with the service recieved over those 4 visits. A month later, I returned with my puppy who had developed a limp. The doctor could not see the limp and was unable to make a diagnosis. I was prepared to pay for diagnostic radiographs but felt that I was rushed out of the clinic with pain meds instead. The client in front of me was extremely rude to both the doctor and the techs and that probably shook up the whole team, but I feel like I was turned away without any answers. I got a second opinion from another vet who determined the cause of the lameness and has referred my puppy for surgery. Timing is critical when working with young, large breed puppies. The techs here were lovely to deal with and the practice is very reasonably priced for basic care. I just wish my concerns were taken more seriously.

This is the ONLY vet I will go to now. The doctor and all the staff there are amazing and very accommodating. Unlike other Veterinary Hospitals (I won't say who), they actually care about the well being of the animals who come to them. The first place I went to only cared about money when I brought my dog in after he was attacked by a bear. Whereas, this vet hospital saved my dogs life and I am very grateful for that. So thank you! My cat suffered from large cut on his tail. Valley vet told me it was very bad and his tail needed to be amputated (we booked the surgery). I contacted Cheam the night before to see if I can come in without an appointment for another opinion as this was a major surgery. When I arrived Dr Chahal took one look at the tail and told me to cancel the surgery, and that his tail was healing fine. My cats tail is completely healed and he got to keep him tail

I always visit Cheam View Veterinary for examination or any kind of treatment of my dog and a cat. I highly recommended this place to everyone. Dr. Chahal and his staff is amazing. I had been to many vets in a town but, they couldn’t diagnose my dog’s problem. They kept me telling something else and Dr. Chahal told me that my dog has a heart problem. Dr. Chahal and his staff treated my dog so well and at reasonable prices. My dog is doing good and i am happy :) I recommend you to take your pet to this place and you can notice a difference.

I had an emergency while camping at Jones lake, where my dog had a worrisome head injury. I rushed him down the mountain to this clinic in September 2020. The staff were friendly, caring expedient and they listened to what had occurred with empathy. I am no stranger to vet bills and big surgeries. Occasionally vet 0ffices have tried to take advantage of me but it is not common. My dog Piper, a Shetland Sheepdog, also the best dog in the world, is a tripawd and has also had two heart surgeries, one in Vancouver and one in OSU, Oregon. This clinic could have gouged me, they could have completely taken advantage of my desperation and they did not. The vet actually came in early at no extra charge. This Veterinarian and the clinic/business had strong integrity. This is exactly where I would take Piper if I lived locally. Trust me, this business will succeed on their good principles and I strongly recommend them. I am sorry my review is so late. From the front desk to the back office what a great business. My dog was very lethargic and peeing blood and had been sent home by another vet pretty much to die. A friend told me to take him to Cheamview. As soon as I walked in and told them my story they took him into the back and started him on an IV flush and other meds. After almost 36 hours of these treatments he was able to come home with me. The doctor and the staff are excellent and caring. This is the only vet I will trust in the future.

The doctor and staff at Cheam View were amazing when I brought Sally in on a Saturday evening. She had eaten some rocks while camping and was displaying all sorts of weird symptoms. I'm not from the area and I don't know which vets are good in Chilliwack/Hope. Cheap View took care of her and showed me her x-rays and explained everything to me. After almost 5 years we’ve made the difficult decision to take my cat elsewhere. She started having urinary issues and problems passing bowel movements a couple years back. Initially I’ve got to say the standard care was phenomenal. She would always come back happy and healthy from a visit. Whether it be that so many people got pets during the pandemic and they’re overwhelmed, the quality of care has seriously deteriorated. Vet is increasingly uncommunicative, doesn’t give you instructions for how to make your pet healthy in the long run. Provides “solutions” that are just bandages. Getting hefty bills with no explanation of what treatments are happening, and when you call or ask - one worded answers. Took her to another vet this week, found out she had a past dental infection that was in her records from this place that the vet NEVER told us about. I took her for a literally dental exam and they said everything’s good. But the records show otherwise. She’s also severely dehydrated and has colon issues. I’ve shocked and disappointed that this could even happen. Vets have an onus to speak on behalf of our beloved pets and I swear she would have died under the care of this place. If I could give zero stars you bet I would.

My pet had an allergic reaction. First thing this vet said is "omg that is really bad." Cut me off when I was telling him about when we noticed the swelling. He wanted to give him a number of injections...IV, muscular injection etc. and told me it would be a matter of time before he started throwing up blood which never did end up happening. I went with my gut and left. Called and went to another place, totally different advice, medication and experience...they actually checked his heart, gums, temperature and ears. I would never recommend Cheam View.

I frantically called in at 2am as I heard my 4 month old kitten choking on something, to my absolute disgust this man listened to me explain my kitten's situation and promptly hung up without saying a thing, 4 times. Unfortunately my kitten, Evie, passed away afterwards as I couldn't manage to revive her after managing to remove whatever she was choking on. Any sort of guidance and advice on keeping her alive would have been greatly appreciated, what a sorry excuse for a vet, person, and "24 hour emergency service". Not to mention all these childish replies to people's reviews of your business is pretty pathetic.

I am not one to post negative reviews but this has been the worst experience I have ever had with a veterinarian. I had a dog fight situation and my dog required medical care and stitches. I was referred by my regular veterinarian only because the new staff member there didn't actually speak with my vetrinarian and explain the situation, regardless I have spoken to my regular vetrinarian and have been reassured this will never happen again. I was given Cheam View as an emergency contact and was thankful that I could bring my dog in right away. Everything was great upon arriving, my dog was taken to the back to be assessed and I was given an estimate of $1050-$1850. I declined xrays and at that point Dr. Chahal circled the $1050 and crossed out the $1850, I reviewed and signed it. In hindsight now I should have asked for a copy or taken a screen shot. I was then advised I had to make a deposit of $1000 before any treatment was even started. My dog was taken in at approximately 3:20 and I was assured that I would be called with an update. At 5:30 I made the first call, as I had not heard from them, and was advised she was still waiting for surgery. I then called again at 7:30 and was advised she was in surgery . At 9:30 pm I still had not received any sort of update, so I called back again and was advised I could pick up my dog at 11:00pm. I also asked the receptionist the final cost of my bill and she advised me she was working on it and would call me back, which no one ever did get back to me. At 11:00pm I arrived to pick up my dog and was advised that my balance was an additional $675. I was completely shocked, as I was expecting maybe another $100 for medication from the estimate I had been provided of $1050. It was explained to me that the surgery was more involved. I was honest with the staff and said I could pay an additional $200, explained I had to make financial arrangements and would pay the remaining $375 at her suture removal or earlier. The staff member went back to speak with Dr. Chahal , came back upfront and told me my dog wasn't ready to go home and I could get her in the morning when I came back to pay my bill. I was extremely upset and asked to speak with Dr. Chahal, he came upfront and says he stands by his estimates, brings my estimate back and the $1050 had been manually changed to $1550. I was really angry as that was NOT the estimate I signed. He and his staff member then went further to say I was mistaken, calling me a liar, and that it was changed while I was there and that if I had paid the balance I could take my dog home, so she was basically being held ransom. On top of that I would have been charged for an overnight hospital stay. By now I am furious as I understand that an estimate is exactly what it is, an estimate, but to have it manually changed after the fact, then be told I was "mistaken" is complete BS. I have worked with a surgeon for years and give estimates everyday, not once has a SIGNED estimate ever been changed once the patient has signed it. Then, to be told when to pick up my dog, arrive to get her and be told she isn't ready to go and when questioned why I wasn't notified earlier and told they were "too busy'. I called both Dr.Chahal and his staff member on that and said I called 3 times and someone answered the phone every time, so how can they be too busy to have the courtesy to call if your dog isn't ready? I was then flat out old I cant take her home because of my balance owing. By this time it was a heated discussion as Dr.Chahal was not making any attempt to listen to why I was upset, the fact the estimate was changed and the excuses why I couldn't bring my dog home. By now Dr.Chahal is telling me I can take my dog and pay at suture removal, so as far as I am concerned he isn't concerned about the dog or the owner, only the money. At this point I want NOTHING to do with this clinic again so I go over my financial means, told him he got his money and that I want my dog. Make sure to get a copy of your estimate as it seems to be about the money

Took a stray cat that lives behind our building in for a wellness check, booster shots and dematting. I was able to make an appointment for the next day, which was a Sunday. It's open 24 hours which is very convenient for me. The assistant and Doctor did a great job with her and I was able to wait inside the large lounge. 20 minutes later we were on our way. Very professional and friendly care for us both. I'll definitely be going back. ????????.

Cheam View used to be a good clinic at one time. However, Dr. Chahal has changed and became money hungry. He said my dog, Jazzie, was in complete liver failure and said he didn't know how long we would have with her. He gave us a new medication for her and she was on that for a few months. We decided on going to a new clinic and found out her liver is okay. Found out the way they do the blood test for that at cheam is inaccurate and the animal has to fast before its done. Dr. Chahal should have known that. Jazzie was on a medication she didn't need which could have harmed her if she stayed on that. I've learned my lesson on going there and advise no pet owners go there if they value their furry friend.
