Weve been evacuated from our home due to forest fires and my dog ended up really sick so i had to have him put down they charged me over $400 for it then they wanted almost another $200 for me to have my dogs ashes this is absolutely disgusting we had to spend money to get to safety then we spent the last of our money to put him down and the vet doesnt even care ... im so hurt and disgusted on how they couldn't even offer us to pay the rest when we get more money so my family could have our dogs ashes and give him a proper burial when we can go home .....after this mess they found or dog. And had him cremated and now we have him to take home when we can finally go . Thank you so much

We recently moved to Abbotsford and I had my first experience today with Dr. Vipan. I am really impressed with this clinic! Dr Vipan took the time to address my many concerns with my elderly dog in such a kind and caring way. She also made him (and myself ) feel really comfortable in a new vet environment. Brought my 8 year old dog there for the first time last week after we found a lump on his face. I was super impressed with everyone. Becca was fantastic. The Doctor was great. She was easy to talk to and not pushy about procedures or spending a ton of money. I felt comfortable and taken care of. I could hear them talking in the back to my dog and there really seems to be a genuine love for animals in this office. Thank you Alpha Animal Hospital for being so great when we needed help.

I had to take my dog in for surgery to Alpha Animal Hospital and I was extremely nervous but the minute I walked into the office the whole staff makes you feel very comfortable.The staff & vet are loving caring and professional by the time I dropped off my dog and walked out of the office I was feeling so much better. They talked and treated my fur baby like he was their own.The staff is there to answer any questions or concerns you have I’m fairly new to this vet and I’m so glad I picked them to care for my pet . My kitten was brought in on 3 different occasions within 10 days. First I was told she didn't have ringworm, which was not true. Second, she was given multiple medications for her cold which didn't get better. When we brought her in again and she tested negative for Upper Respiratory Infection, instead of testing her for MORE to actually find out what the problem was, they sent us home with an immune system booster. That was it. By the time she got more sick and I had to take her to 2 other vets, it was too late. I am extremely disappointed that they did not try more, or test her for more to actually find out what was causing her to be that sick. The front desk girls are lovely. I am disappointed in this Vet.

Very unsatisfied with this Veterinary Hospital. The doctor did things to my dog that I didn't even approve. I wasn't able to go to the back with my dog so I had to sit and listen to my poor dog cry while they poked him with needles. I asked the doctor what they had done to him and he said they had done blood work on him without even informing me before hand, they just did it. The staff, the doctor especially wasn't even compassionate.

I went there to get my puppies 2nd and 3rd set of shots. Dr wasn't friendly and was very rushed but had time to try to sell me tick and flea medication in the middle of January for my then 10 week old puppy that never went outside (I've heard of upselling but this is absurd)! AND he tried to tell me that he needed deworming every month! Upon paying they didn't give me a discount their website said and then said they would give it the next visit. Next visit same thing, vet wasn't friendly, rushed and tried to upsell to me, didn't get a discount and I wasn't very happy. A friend told me his experience at the same place and it frightened me! I didn't go back. When I found a new vet they couldn't believe what sequence my puppy's round of shots were, also said they DON'T need flea medication in January and don't need anymore deworming because it had already been FIVE times!! The doctor at my new place CARES about animals, NOT money. I wouldn't recommend taking your animals there, even for the cheaper examination rate, I would pay triple the amount for a caring doctor that likes my animal!

This vet's office was FANTASTIC! We ended up in trouble with our dog... She was pregnant, but with only two puppies. Being small at only 7lbs, we knew we could be in for trouble. We had two vets that we had previously dealt with for years who were supposed to be on standby for us in case we needed an emergency c-section and both of them bailed on us with excuses like "I would like to spend time with my son tonight". This vet's office was amazing. The vet was there in a matter of minutes. The whole team was kind, knowledgeable, and they did what they could to keep us involved. They gave us all the information we needed and they treated our dog like family. I was so impressed with this vet and their team - we will certainly be switching vets offices. Thank you so so so much for taking such good care of us, our baby, and our baby's babies <3 edited to include: Becky was great - she was full of knowledge and she has a way of making you feel comfortable even when you're on the verge of panic. Our animals mean everything to us and she made sure that we knew that our dog meant something to her too. This vet's office really does care about the animal - they didn't see dollar signs when we walked in, they saw two distraught people with their sick dog and they took action immediately. I 110% would recommend this vet's office to anyone and everyone.

After lots of time spent researching where to spay my precious kitten, I chose Alpha based on their google reviews. I booked the spay package quoted at $160 + microchip $45. I left that day spending more then $300 & they sent my carrying case and two $100 cotton blankets to the ----. I drove to the ---- to get my Blankets back but no luck. The microchip the vet sold me on getting is useless, the women who maintains the front told me after I ALREADY paid that I would have to register the microchip for another $45 within a weeks time. Before surgery they said that my INDOOR only cat HAD to have Rabies vaccine by law before they performed surgery, The ---- said this was untrue & money grab as the cat will never be outside or cross a boarder. In the past month another vet I will keep nameless has been bringing her back to health from being OVER VACCINATED. HealthlinkBC States "Even indoor cats should be vaccinated as they may escape or they can come into contact with bats that enter houses. If your pet has physical contact with a bat, consult your veterinarian" The rabies vaccine is recommended, but not required by law in BC.

I called Alpha when my bunny, Teddy, became lethargic and stopped eating and drinking. They were able to get him in very quickly. They gave him fluids as he was very dehydrated, and gave me medicine to take home and give him. They were very kind and professional, taking time to explain everything and not trying to upsell with more unnecessary tests like some other clinics do. Teddy is back to being his normal happy self and I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much. I would definitely bring Teddy back here ????

I brought my cat for deworming here & was given "Profender",. Once when I returned home I googled & saw under the same "profender" it had harmed several felines & some had Rashes, Skin irritation, Shivers, and even SEVERAL DEATHS among the ones who received it. I immediately called the Vet clinic to inform of the severity of this Profender. But before even I finished my sentence the front desk female clerk said "OH no that is NOT profender it's the many other deworming medications & never the Profender. I asked her to check by Googling. Then she tells me 'No I can't see any complaints" Then I had to read the complaints people had said about it, & her response was' OH that was so Many years ago. I had to say NO it's not so many years ago , from 2017 until year 2020 so many complaints are on the list. I am talking here in January 2021, so how could this became so many years ago? Finally she tells me "Oh okay we will let the manufacturer know this. She doesn't need to let the manufacturer knows it is ALREADY UNDER THEIR PAGE. I was so shocked by listening to all the lame arguments she had to give me. BE AWARE, IF SOMETHING HAPPENS OR GOES WRONG WITH YOUR PET UNDER THIS HOSPITAL'S CARE, THEY WILL "NEVER AGREE OR ACCEPT TO THEIR MISTAKES. PERIOD.

We moved to BC last fall and were very fortunate to find a great vet Clinic very close to our home. ALPHA Animal Hospital is GREAT, very caring and a lovely facility too. Our Afghan hounds are always very relaxed when they go there.The clinic staff & Vet ALWAYS follow up on every visit, we like that too.

I had to take my cat in at the last minute during the week as he was not feeling well. The vet and her assistants were so welcoming and made me feel reassured that they would find out what was going on with Panda. Turns out it was a large hairball obstructing his intestines - which they were able to remove with surgery. It was a costly procedure (but not unreasonable) and they made sure that Panda was fully recovered before closing his patient file. I will definitely recommend this vet to anyone in East Abbotsford

The first time we used Alpha: our 18 year old Bichon Froese came to the point we had to tearfully say goodbye. The vet from Alpha came to our house to avoid the dog having more stress going to the clinic. The vet was so compassionate knowing the strong tearful emotions my wife & I were experiencing and I can't say enough how great, respectful & professional he was. We now dog sit our daughter's dog Sunday night to Friday. We had to use a vet a couple of times & obviously used Alpha - I found regardless which Vet we see, their service, medical knowledge, care & client centred service continue to be outstanding.

I had a great experience here. Clean and a newer facility. We were greeted by a friendly Debra and placed in an exam room. Dr. Vipan is knowledgeable and was thorough with her exam. Steve our little baby felt comfortable through the entire session. Did not push us much on diagnostics. A simple change in diet was the recommendation and it worked. Steve and I will ever be ever thankful to this clinic.

Prepaid for all shots and spaying, but quickly regretted it as I've switched vets since and am very happy with my new choice, but still had to go back for those procedures. Vet has little to no bedside manner and actually gave my dog her first round of shots while I ran to grab some paperwork and she told me she would wait. When it came time for spaying the assistant told me on the phone that they were neutering her and she was just in helping with the procedure. How did she not recognize the sex of my dog? Very troubling

I like Becky at the front desk and how polite she is but that's all that's nice about the place. Not impressed at all. I brought my dog in just to see if she was over weight and had breathing problems. I was at work and they called me, left a voice mail saying your dog could have a tumour. First of all that's confidential and should not be leaving voicemails like that ( I had confronted alpha my complaints). I listened to the voicemail at work and freaked out, thinking I can't work now!! It ended up not being a tumour just alot of fat and needs excersise .. Like wow, thanks for all money spent on exams and pills for nothing!! I would do anything for my baby to be healthy and they took full advantage of me, I'm not impressed.

My dog fell down from the stairs and was limping quite bad. The ladies at the front desk quickly took us in and explained the procedure nicely. We took some X-rays and realized he dislocated his shoulder. The vet put it back in place and after a couple weeks now he is doing much better. I was quite pleased with their service and would highly recommend it.

Honestly the vet and staff at Alpha Animal are some of the most understanding and accommodating vet I have ever had. I am a university student so money is usually tight but they work with me to help make sure Romeo is taking care of that can be within my budget. I really appreciate it! I brought my dog in when he hurt his foot during a walk. It had two spots where puss was oozing out so when I brought him in they said somthing is in his leg so they will need to do surgey to get it out and clean it. $1500 surgery which did absolutely nothing. They kept giving all these expensive pills pack after pack which ended up costing me like another $650 which also didn't do anything. This went on for 2 months. Finally I decided to go to Elwood Animal hospital and they also did another $1200 surgery but they actually ended up getting a stick out of his leg and it healed and he's perfectly fine now. Alpha animal hospital took over $2000 from me and in the end it was just a waste of money cause they didn't do the surgery properly and my dog was still in pain and was limping they were not helpful at all and didn't seem to know what they were doing.
