I love this place they treated my girl with such love

Although I've had solid experiences in the past, but when I call to get a dog looked at with serious issues and am told they can't do anything because she hasn't been seen in the past couple of years, it leaves a lot to be desired. To put more salt on the wound, when this same dog needs to be euthanized they still say they can't help. Whomever is running the phones or managing this place needs some lessons on empathy.

Staffed by multiple owner/operator veterinarians with numerous vet tech's & receptionists. Operates clinics in Wallaceburg & 2nd Clinic in Chatham on Park Avenue.

Everyone was so friendly and amazing with my boy. He can get a little anxious about unfamiliar situations and new people, but the staff was so lovely and chatted with him and made him feel comfortable. He sure does love to be called handsome, so that was great. I also loved the term that Dr. Emily used, saying my boy was a “king shit” personality with other dogs, which is so accurate. It gave us a good laugh.

My cat almost died, they gave him top notch care and gave discounts wherever possible to cut back on his very high bill. They always found a quiet place for us to visit with him. To this day over a year later staff that cared for him that haven't seen me for a while ask hows he's doing when i go in to pick up his meds and food. They truly care and it shows everytime they see your pet.

I think although their work is thorough, the prices are far from justifiable. I've been to a number of different vets over the years who all range in prices but ck vet was out of the water expensive. I was most shocked when we had to call for after hour emergency and the vet was willing to charge us $200 just for her to show up to the clinic, not including the cost of the inspection or treatment. We were also told that cost will go up every hour. I can't support a vet who's only working to drain their customers of their money.

Extremely professional and wonderfuly friendly. Our family dog was put down becaue of the incompetence of another vet in town. We came here for the cremation and they gave our old girl so much dignity and respect. More recently my 9 month old dog became very ill, they were so helpful and were very candid and upfront with what the problem was and gave us the right advise. Happy to say my dog is back to her crazy happy self. It may be more expensive than most of the vets in town but in the long run you're getting a more professional enviorment and staff.

We don't know where to begin....EVERYONE was amazing and took care of our Baby with love and affection. From Dr Caitlin, Barb, and all the staff in Blenheim (where the journey started) to Dr's Ingrid and Amanda and ALL the staff in Chatham: Donna, Chris, Michelle...we just wish we could remember everyone by name! Everyone was kind, professional, friendly, and VERY supportive. We can't thank all of you enough for what you did for our Buddha-Boy. MOST of all for making him well again, but also for loving him enough that he wasn't all freaked out being left there (as we were afraid he would be after his months in a kill "shelter" years ago). It was his first time away and he came out happy and healthy. My sister and I are thrilled with all of you and we can't thank you enough! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!! You guys are ALL rock stars to us! Boo Boo sends his love and thanks as well!

I took my dog today for a consultation that only took 10 min. and I was charged $85 + tx. I was shocked when I heard the price. The respond I got was "you should check how much your family doctor charges"!!!!! So I ended up calling a couple different vets in Chatham and the going rate for a consultation is actually $45 + tx. They charged me almost double!!! This hospital over charge, I wouldn't recommend it! Call around first and you will see for yourself. I'm never going back!

Took my cat in with weight loss issues. They pressed for running blood work that should not have been done never followed up with any care going forward. Using COVID-19 as an excuse to not provide care is awful you don't see or even talk with a vet but they'll still take your money. Very caring and unprofessional.

THEY SAVED MY DOG!! After getting our first family dog, 2 weeks ago, we realized that he wasnt eating. He was becoming more and more weak, up until the point where he just layed in his kennel, and refused to go outside. On the day we decided to bring him to the Chatham vet, he nearly fell of of the deck when we forced him to go outside.(we were not being mean...he had not been outside in 11 hours) He was walking into things and almost falling over. He finally layed down and wouldnt stand on his own. We decided it was time to bring him to the vet. After 2 nights 3 days in the I.C.U, we were told to prepare for the worst. Thanks to a blood donor dog, Reese is home now. He will always have his auto immune disease, but hopefully he will not get sick again. Thank you to Dr. Amanda, Kaitlyn, and Kerri, and everyone else that helped behing the scenes!!

Not good for emergencies. While this vet does have excellent services otherwise they are not good for emergencies and refer to Walker Rd Animal Hospital in Windsor. If by chance they do take your emergency they are always booked full EVERYDAY so they charge an additional $400 just to have your EMERGENCY brought in. That's rediculous. I remember years ago it was not like this. They could usually squeeze an emergency in during the day they took emergencies at night and yes they charged more but not a rediculous $400!! I am appalled by this and what its come to. If you have an emergency best bet is Windsor they're open 24 hrs and will take your pet even when it's an Emergency.

I am new to Chatham and had emergency with my dog. I understand that Covid-19 situation is difficult on everyone myself included but this Vet clearly don't care about animals. Chatham and everywhere are reopened long time now. This vet refused to see my dog. This is unprofessional. They don't care about animals unless you're their regular customer. Do not recommend!

I want to thank CKVetnary Hospital. About 9 years ago we got our cat Stan who even nine years later is still amazing. Every time we would go in with Stan everyone loved him and some even remembered him. We always felt safe. Stan always felt safe. Earlier this year, they saved my guinea pig's life. Getting treatment for exotic animals is extremely difficult without leaving Chatham-Kent, and I'm really grateful. Although the staff is there a pleasant and caring I have to admit after checking around town in 20 minutes outside of Chatham Area the charges of my bill are extravagant . Very disappointed in the outcome and handling of the whole situation. Very Saddened and heart broken my darling was put to sleep. My yellow Lab had a sudden airway obstruction and I found the emergency care our pet was given was amazing.He later had surgery in another hospital and developed complication 3 days after surgery. Once again emergency care was given and all the staff and vets we dealt with were amazing.What was truly touching is how the vet went out of the way to keep in touch with us even over the weekend,by giving advise and checking on his progress. Our darling pet actually passed away after 1 week but we appreciate all the support and love we recieved from the vets and staff of Chatham Kent Veterinary hospital.

Faced with a life or death emergency and just relocating to the area I was referred here from the Blenheim animal hospital. My German Shepherd was diagnosed with stomach torsion and bloat and would have been dead in an hour. Special thanks to Dr. Emily Durbin DVM and staff for saving my boys life! Everyone make sure you have health insurance on your pet. It sure comes in handy when you are faced with a large Vet bill. Five stars here!!

So far, after only one visit, with my boys, it's nice. It was difficult (with this being my one and only time being here) because of the pandemic. But the girls were great . Very informative, lots of info over the phone and even check ins a day after their shots. They are doing what they can to provide excellent care during this time. Hard to hand over your fur babies to someone you have never really met though.

I highly recommend this veterinarian hospital. The vets and staff are amazing. If you want the best love and care for your pets this is the place to be.They were amazing with my border collie mix. They new what was wrong and fixed her up nicely, they even go out of their way to make your pet feel as comfortable as they can,they will even sit on the floor with them. They are great.
