She (the other vet) looked at the test results and confirmed that my cat was okay and had nothing he told me! Then as soon as she saw my cat, she immediately noticed a serious infection on her paw. She was as upset as I was that he just put on a little bandage. She asked if she could give him painkillers right away since he was in pain and she was going to have an emergency operation. All for about $ 300, very good service and I felt she wanted my pet's best. 3 days later everything was fine .. !! One of many stories, I never go back to Savaria's again, can't even believe it's still open. (Original) Allez ailleurs si vous voulez de bons soins pour votre animal ainsi que des gens honnêtes.. Plusieurs mauvaises expériences avec plusieurs animaux différents, j’ai appris ma leçon. Service inhumain de la part du vétérinaire, il est très brusque et ne se gêne pas pour gonfler votre facture au maximum en plus de faire des soins inutiles (et même pas les bons!) La dernière fois ca m’a coûté plus de 500$ d’examens, mon chat avait mal à une patte.. Il a mis un pansement sur la plaie sans trop la regarder (50$ pour un bandage bidon) .. Puis il m’a dit que mon chat avait des pierres aux reins, de l’hypothyroïdie ainsi qu’un début de diabète et très déshydraté.. J’ai refusé qu’il le garde puisque j’avais un mauvais sentiment (j’ai dû signer une décharge crève coeur comme quoi je refusais d’aider mon animal!).. Il a refusé de lui donner des soins à moins de le garder toute la nuit en observation. Ensuite je suis allé à un meilleur endroit plus éloigné, il a refusé de transmettre mon dossier jusqu’à ce qu’elle le menace par la loi.. Elle (l’autre vétérinaire) a regardé les résultats des examens et m’a confirmé que mon chat allait bien et qu’il n’avait rien de ce qu’il m’avait dit! Puis dès qu’elle a vu mon chat, elle a tout de suite remarqué une grave infection à sa patte. Elle était aussi fâchée que moi qu’il ait juste mis un petit bandage. Elle m’a demandé si elle pouvait lui donner directement des antidouleurs puisqu’il souffait et qu’elle allait l’opérer d’urgence. Le tout pour environ 300$, très bon service et je sentais qu’elle voulait le bien de mon animal. 3 jours après tout allait bien..!! Une histoire parmi plusieurs, je ne retourne plus jamais chez Savaria, je ne peux même pas croire qu’il est encore ouvert.

Took this big goob here. Really appreciated this vet who was not intimidated by a working dog. Didn't "push" anything I wasn't interested in. Did everything I asked, awesome vet. Reasonably priced. 10/10 will keep using this vet when I'm in Chateauguay.

This is the only place my dog has ever been afraid of vets. Been there twice (more than a year apart) and it was the same with two different vets. Both times the diagnostic was "probably cancer, need to operate to make sure it's not". It obviously wasn't and it wasn't necessary to operate.

Didn't call when my kitten was done with her surgery. Had 2 groups of 3 people that could habe called us for the update of our kitten, Apparently they "forgot". Was very rude. Would never go back. Worst experience. Save your money and go to any other vet but this one.

No solution for my Bella. Even after 4 visits for same problem. I distinctly got the impression they only care for making money. It is NOT a chronic disease, it's just a bad habit she has to scratch between eye and ear. Only solution is to take away nails. I understand why it isn't normally done, but in her case it would have been for her own good. Not for me or my furniture that's for sure. I got turned away with explanation of 'she's older than 2 years old" but that was after making me wait and see... When i first brought her over she was only a year old.

I went here to have my kittin spayed. They told me they would call an hour after surgery;they didn't, in fact,the day after the surgery,when I called to inquire for a status update and why I was not called, they call me a negligent animal owner for not calling and offered a weak excuss saying 'we over booked' as if thats an ok excusse. By the way,they only called me a negligent animal owner after I called them out on their weak excusse for being over booked. Dont over book if you cant do the job competantly. And certainly dont insult your client for you not following protocols of a most basic nature which is,call when you say you will. Of corse they absolutely could have called the day after but did not.why,laziness. When I went to get my kittin,when speaking at the desk,the staff pretended not to understand me. They then only gave me my kittin after I paid,an insult in it of itself. Once o paid,a staff member wrnt to get my kittin.my girlfriend who was with me at the time pointed out how the staff member 'mad for me calling out her lame excusse'was petting my kittin as to further upset me. When this didn't work,the staff member became visually irritated. Recap: Staff lies to you. Staff offers excusses for why procedure is not done. Staff tries to upset you if you call them out on their lame excusses and uses techniques to agrivate you. Conclusion:if thats how they can treat you over the phone AND in person,how much better is your animal behind closed doors? Chilling thing to ponder, I know. Please dont come here. The aggrivation and intolerance by the staff is not worth the 100-150 $ you will save.

Stay away if you can, your pet will thank you. The staff was utterly condescending. I'm an SPCA volunteer and have had many pet behavioral training and I can assure you this: the staff had no knowledge (or complete disregard of) feline and canine behavior. They treated cats and dogs that came in like we did back in the 80s. They had no desire to try and reduce cat stress levels, to entertain agitated dogs, etc. I was there for 30m and I did better with their patients than any employee did and even other clients mentioned it. Now here's the kicker: when I picked up my cat, they gave me medication (without offering a bag, I had to put it in my pockets). They said to follow the instructions on the sticker. They almost forgot to remove the tape for the IV! They had to pull the cat back out of its carrier to do so... seriously? 4 weeks later, I call back because the stitches are still there, and here they go telling me the stitches had to be removed AFTER 10 DAYS... And the irony is they seem to think I'm the one who didn't listen to them. Again, never again.

I have an anxious dog. The vet asked me to calm him. Usually, they have someone who do that, qualified in animsl behaviour...he did not touch my dog...i showed him the injury on its body. He did not checked the injury. He gave me some antibiotics and ..that's it! I did not feel like I had a professional consultation. 3 stars for the reception. I had not a paper for recommendation, adverse reactions...cheap service. I'm gonna find another place near Chateauguay.
