Appointment was over an hour late starting,my cat was in a crate for over an hour because of their poor planning. Covid restrictions there meant my cat had to go in alone where he was frightened and wouldn't let them touch him apparently. They wanted over $300.00 to cut some mats from my elderly cats fur as they would need to give him anesthesia so we took him home and cut them out ourselves. Poor service, and extremely expensive.

I've never been to this vet with my lab but called after my dog ate a package of candy (and wrappers) that was left out by mistake. Dr Neilson was very friendly and helpful over the phone. Thank you . Update: Have dealt with Dr Neilson a couple more times since my original post. He's a very thorough and caring vet who puts a lot of effort in to his work. I feel very comfortable taking my dog to his clinic.

My dog was wrongly diagnosed and I purchased over $100. worth of medication which I could not get my dog to take. She had been diagnosed with an intervertebral disk disease and could not stand or walk. I took my dog to a chiropractor in North Vancouver (who also works on animals) who said it was not her spine but rather her pelvis. He made adjustments to each side of her body and she began walking again. I ask the Greenwood Animal Hospital if they would refund me the medications cost and they said no. This is a veterinaries' decision not a law of the land....after all dogs are notorious for eating all kinds of things that are not fit for human consumption. I have also had a different veterinarian refund medications not needed in the past. There is no justification in not taking the medications back and refunding me the money. I given a wrong diagnose for my dog and +++ expense for medications not needed. I am very disappointed in all accounts.

Went here to get some tick stuff for my pup because upon moving to Nova Scotia I was informed that ticks in this province are really bad. Anyway the woman I dealt with here was really not friendly at all. I tried being friendly, tried having a sense of humor but this woman was cold. She seemed very unhappy. She made me and my dog feel uncomfortable and unwelcome there. Plus their products are way over priced. Haven't returned. Nor will I.

We have been dealing with Greenwood Animal Hospital since May of 2015. We were stuck as we were forced out of our home and had no place we could leave our pets while we worked. They stepped up and took our puppy in during the day and took our cat in full time. They have taken great care of our first 2 dogs and cat and now take care of our current 2 girls. We have a vet in our town but we drive 1/2 hour to get our kids where we know they will be safe. Thank you Greenwood Animal Hospital

I am livid right now. I requested cremation for my pet and paid $400 for the service. Because staff did not fill out the paperwork when necessary my pet's body has been in a freezer for over a week and not sent to the appropriate location for cremation. I was supposed to receive her remains yesterday but she hasn't even been sent yet. They are saying she will now be sent tomorrow, and I will receive the remains next week. That will make it 2 weeks. Do not request cremation services here. I feel so disrespected as I grieve this loss. They did not even initiate the call to tell me of their error. I had to do the tracking down of her body. Never again.

I have taken my cats to the Greenwood Animal Hospital for the two years I've had them for their annual checkup and shots as well as getting the one microchipped that wasn't. Okay vet, knowledgeable but he was kind of rude. He didn’t deworm my kitten, instead I just was sold the medicine with no means to administer it. Kittens need a set of vaccinations and I tried to set up another appointment for the next one while I was in the office after my appointment, but it was towards the end of the day and they were reluctant to do it then, and told me they’d send me a postcard for a reminder. I found a different vet instead.

Incredible visit today with staff at the this vet! My dog needed her booster and a yearly exam. Price was reasonable compared others vet we've been to and Jennifer answered every question I could possibly have. There was no judgement that we could only afford the visit for the dog and she coached me up on weight control for the older cat at home. I was sent away with a smile on my face and free samples in my pocket. I am very happy I decided to give this place a try, even after reading the other negative review. Today was only our first visit but this is now the place we go.

I d guive it at least one star if they cared to guive my puppy an appointment to get her second vaccin.but as most veterinary..they wont . and proceedures will occure for refusal to provide nessessary care to a puppy. Especially if by the all veterenary near by only i can access by their refusals, puppy ends up sick. I ve seriously had it with veterinary none sens. I did not ask for free care , just normal routine payed for care ... All animal clinic vets shall be ashamed of them selves . most likely , if i cannot get a vet that truly care enough for animals, i will have to spend double on emergency care, shame.. None have a good valuable excuse for such refusal. And i have to guive one star to undeserving clinic.but i truly mean zero

I had been bringing my elder dog there for a year she had skin problems she had seen at least 4 different vets. Some of these visits were over 2 hours. But all my visits to find out what the issue was never solved. The vets all only wanted to pump my poor girl up with pills. I tried to take a stance to do some tests. Finally I could not keep up with the vet bills and due to covid no other vet would see my girl. She was suffering. I had to put her down. When we made arrangements for putting her to sleep I asked for a paw print. I just received it in the mail today. I'm devastated and heart broken. I got a tiny sheet of paper with her paw print on it and the beeps didn't even get her name right. Please if you love your family pet avoid this place like the plague

Very livid and disappointed. Had my baby of 13 years put to sleep in March, they said they would send out the pawprint. It is now July and when I called about the pawprint I got the run around for two days saying they couldn't find it. My mother went in yesterday and was given nothing but attitude and only to be told it was thrown away. When I called today o got attitude and for them to say they threw it out. They told me they tried to call us which is an absolute lie as they had two numbers to call. When I stated she was lying she said when she called the numbers were disconnected which was another lie as my number had been in service for over two years and my parents over 5 and not once in these few months were they ever disconnected. They have no compassion as to us getting the last memory of our pet. Good to know they have zero sympathy for the whole issue and can just get rid of something like that. I will NEVER take an animal there again because I don't feel like getting treated like trash. Thanks for breaking not only mine and my mother's hearts but my four children's as well...

The only good thing about my visit was that I found out that I am better off going to the animal hospital in Berwick before I spent any real money at Greenwood Animal Hospital. I visited there last year for a checkup and to get flea and tick medicine for my dog, as we had just moved to the area. After being let in 45mins late for my appointment, I finally got in to see the vet. I had asked multiple times for the flea and tick medicine (the main reason for my visit) and was brushed off or rudely ignored during the exam. After the exam, the vet tried to push some of their "anti-cavity" specialty food because my dog had "lots of plaque buildup." I refused and again asked about the flea and tick medicine, only to be told that I can "just come back and get it another time." I got a second opinion about the alleged plaque buildup from another vet, and was told that it was "minimal at worst" and "does not require any action". I was so infuriated by my experience that I now am a faithful customer of Berwick Animal Hospital.... and I could literally hit Greenwood Animal Hospital with a rock from my house. I'll do the 20 minute drive for proper customer service. Top dollar vet, with bottom dollar service and pushy sales tactics. I usually sympathize with vets and people in the service industry, but my visit was so frustrating that I refuse to return. First impressions are everything.

I know you guys are doing a good job of doing the right thing, it is just that I had a dog named Rory and he got token there by my dad for reasons I do not understand(he was not sick.) That weekend we were at our moms. When we were driving home to my dads he told us that he had to take Rory to the vet where he had to be put down. Now I can not have another dog because I can not suffer through the same thing again. Of course my dad got another dog. Her name is Chloe. I do not spend much time with her. Should be charged with animal cruelty!! I have never before been so disgusted and shocked! Today I arrived with a very sick dying kitten that the neighborhood kids found in a bush. I was caring for it until a local animal rescue group could pick it up. It needed medical attention fast and Greenwood Animal Hospital refused care unless I paid a $150 up front as an emergency fee. It was 5:15 and they were Open until 6 because they had no more appointments that day, they demanded the additional fee. I explained the situation and asked if they were just going to watch it die . I received a shrug. I left with three devastated kids in tow and raced to Kentville where she was treated. The vets that were out back that I was told "could absolutely see her if I pay the fee" " should be ashamed of themselves!

I have mixed emotions on this vet clinic. I was there to put my cat down after having her for 12 years. My appointment was for 11:50 am. I was told to call when I was in the parking lot, which I did 5 minutes prior to my appointment (11:45 am) and was told the tech will call me when ready. That call came at 12:05 pm. From there, I went into the clinic right into a room where I was told the vet will be there in a few minutes. Vet came in at 12:25 pm. Explained my cat situation, she checked her heart and felt her tummy and said it was her liver not functioning and agreed with me to put her down. She left the room, an employee came in to take my payment and left, and vet and a tech came in a gave my cat the injection. I left the clinic at 12;35 pm. So, was I impressed with them being behind schedule and the wait time? Absolutely not. They knew what my appointment was for. It was stressful and very emotional enough going there to begin with. In the end, it took the process 50 minutes and, for me, that was 50 minutes too long considering the process took less than 10 minutes. As a positive, both the tech and vet were empathetic when dealing with them. My rating is based on my emotions based on the service that was provided. Their tardiness and wait time was inexcusable under the circumstances. Anyone who has had to put a pet down, know their emotions are running rampant, because their pet is family, some it's there child(ren). RIP Wicca. We love you ❤️.
