I've been taking my two year cat here since she was a kitten along with my 13 year old chinchilla (a few times since they don't have a exotic vet there all the time). The staff are super friendly and the vet that works with my cat is super lovely and informative. Honestly I'd recommend them to my friends and family members.

Honestly, they treat my dog like gold yet treat me like dirt. We've been coming here for years, I don't know why anymore. The staff are always short with me, I find them condescending and pretentious. They don't seem to understand how emotional it can be when your pet is hurt. I find them to be money hungry and charge insane amounts. I dont think we'll be continuing our visits here. Maybe they should let Sarah go, I'm shocked at her lack of compassion.

Dr. Huxhum is a kind, competent and compassionate veterinarian. She has cared for both our border collie x puppy and our senior Alaskan husky, and we have been very happy with the care and service provided. If you have insurance the office staff will submit the claims forms for you. The fees are reasonable and I never feel "upsold". All vaccinations and treatments are thoroughly explained and there are no surprise costs. I highly recommend this veterinary office to anyone with furry family members.

Was first time visiting Dogwood Veterinary Hospital! Great friendly staff on hand! They've got dogfood to treats for just about any type of animal that you might have! Took the family dog in for a check up, seeing he's been put up for adoption! Just to make sure everything is going well with him! You do have to follow Pandemic rules by wearing a mask, there is no temperature check! First they do is have you're pet weight done, before seeing a Veterinarian! Then take you into a small room & do the examination!

Seems ok, receptionists weren't very welcoming which was a bit off-putting. No smiles, just kind of seemed like they didn't want to be there. I am not a client there, I only stopped in to buy some accessories, so hopefully the rest of the staff has a better demeanor.

Our vet here has been good. She took us in immediately when our cat had an emergency, even though it was the end of the day and was super helpful in that regard, which I appreciate. Reception here is friendly. Our only two issues were with booking (we were given an appointment that they then forgot to enter into the system and when we showed up, we were told we had to book for the next week....) and with one misdiagnosis. Turns out our cat is not allergic to fleas, he just had sap stuck to his head... Cost us extra money to get meds for the "allergic reaction" he wasn't having but oh well. Hard to get a kitten to sit still long enough to tell what's stuck to their head!

The place stinks. Overpriced overbearing and judgemental. Snide , sarcastic , ignorant and incompetant. Will NEVER go there again. They did absolutely nothing to help with my problem and reported me to SPCA saying I could not afford to treat my pup . Entirely insulting and untrue.SPCA investigated and closed the file.

Gotta say for a place that prides themselves in number one priority is the care of the animals is a farce. I walked in having my little Yorkie whining in pain and bleeding from his back legg from a cut and they turned me away. Told me to go to Nanaimo instead. All the receptionist kept repeating to me was were all booked up were all booked up. How rude !!! What kind of heart do you have when a little guy is shaking from the pain and whimpering and you turn us away ???? Shame on you !!! I’d have a word with my staff if I were you. Word goes around fast ….. Campbell River isn’t a big town.
