I am really angry and disappointed with the lack of concern over a open wound on my back of my dogs leg. I am new to town and don't have a Vet. I spoke to a really nice Lady a couple days prior who said to call Saturday morning to bring my little dog in for someone to look at his injury. When I spoke with a woman named Kim on Saturday morning she was far more concerned about the scheduled vaccination than the open wound on my dogs leg. Absolutely shameful that a pets injury is not a concern. Would not ever want to take my dog to a Veterinary office that doesn't care about my pet. Luckily I found another Vet (CR Veterinary) who scheduled my dog in right away. At least they showed some care and concern for my pets injury.

Overpaid for services rendered , but the worst part is they did not administer a remedy. The services were blank slate cure alls that did nothing. Would not recommend!!!! My dog could have been made very ill buy their negligence, charcoal is not a cure all,definitely not worth 300, nor does it absorb iron.

Such a caring staff. They took such good care of my kitty. I loved how clean their offices are. The staff was very friendly and lessened my concerns about my kitty. I loved the follow up calls after his surgery. They will be my number 1 choice from now on because of their love and care and knowledge. Answering all of my questions. Great clinic with patient-focus care providers. You can tell the staff loves animals! Front desk staff is very friendly. Nurse and techs helpful, while the vets are real professionals who take the time to explain procedures. Our cat needed an emergency surgery and the vet on guard (Dr Richelle Kendall) called us to explain the potential outcomes/options. A few days later, as our cat was getting a follow up visit, his regular vet, Dr Kelsey Cunningham, stopped by to see him. This is a great clinic.

The staff at coastland refused to see our guinea pig because their “pocket pet” doctor was on vacation and none of the other veterinarians felt comfortable seeing her. We had our guinea pig into see them a few months ago and we paid almost $800 just to end up with pain meds and antibiotics….the same thing was happening to her again she clearly just needed some medications we didn’t even care about the cost, the receptionist pretty much said “sorry about your luck” try another vet, maybe in Nanaimo. Our little guinea pig passed away the following day.

I took my cat in for an appointment yesterday with Dr. Van Wyk and I was very impressed by the experience. Despite COVID measures in place, I was greeted straight away and taken into the exam room right on time. I went in for a quick yearly checkup to make sure my high-maintenance cat is healthy and the exam was completed quickly and thoroughly with a clean bill of health! The staff were all friendly and efficient, and it was a pleasure to deal with everyone. As someone who has just moved to Campbell River, I will definitely be returning.

The vets and staff here are AMAZING! I heard about them shortly after moving to town, when another dog owner that I met on walking trails highly recommended them. They’ve been kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and taken excellent care of my dear pup. They even called a couple days after treating an injury to check on how he was doing and see if I had any questions. I can’t recommend this vet hospital enough!

After being a client for 15 years I had a pet emergency this morning requiring him be seen the same day (I called at 10am). They informed me that they were "too busy" to see my pet even though it was an emergency and suggested I "call around to other offices". That is completely unacceptable the they do not treat emergency nor do they value long time dedicated clients. I will never be back. I call Campbell River Vet and they took my pet immediately. I just have to say that I feel really, Really fortunate to have found this place! I have had animals for 20 years, and I have never had a series of Vet experiences before like I have here. This is absolutely the best animal hospital you could ever find. The front desk staff are always friendly and helpful, but the main thing for me is that the vets are amazing! We have dealt mostly with Richelle and Zita (and a bit with Robin), who are the smartest, kindest veterinarians that I have ever met. I feel like the care they give is above and beyond. All of my experiences have been outstanding. They are extremely thorough, super knowledgeable, and really caring. We have three animals (one senior), so we have plenty of opportunities to visit them. Unfortunately, we have been twice in the last two weeks. But thanks to their fantastic work both of our pets are back in good health. So thank you Coastland for taking such good care of our fur babies! You guys are the best!
