I cant say enough good things about CR Vet, Dr Melissa Knowles and the team. I have had a rough year having to put down my 17 yr old and 15 yr old dogs within 4 months of each other and still have my 13 yr old that has issues. The attention and true concern from dr knowles is like no other. Multiple phone check up all the time working with me around my budget but still ensuring she gets what is necessary. She also understands that im a bit neurotic with my last one. All the other ladies there are great as well! Thx guys ❤️

Capable pet care, but very, very expensive relative to other vets. The facility is nice, but aggressive upsells ('buy additional services within 30 days to receive a discount - hurry now!') and high cost versus others makes this place a pass.

My 16 yr old Border Collie WAS a patient here for over 10 YEARS. She developed an obvious infection and was in bad shape. I called to see a vet and was told the soonest anyone could see her was a week later. If I had not found another vet she would be DEAD NOW. I prefer Dr. Pol to the APPLE STORE.

As a new resident to Campbell River, I was unsure where to start in regards to looking for a new vet. We have a year-and-a-half old dog who we care about very much - he is our fur child! The woman who answered the phone (Sam) was very professional, positive, and helpful, so we decided to choose Campbell River Veterinary Hospital as our vet of choice. Dr. Carly Ruiz was very knowledgeable and took time in our initial assessment to answer any questions that I had. She checked over our dog thoroughly and suggested he have all of his vaccinations at once to save having to pay for a second appointment, which was much appreciated. Recently, our dog experienced an acute allergic reaction that involved severe swelling of the face. I called the office and the staff saw him immediately and made him a top priority. He was given excellent care, and I was in and out within an hour. They asked me to stay so that they could keep an eye on him for a bit, even though they were closing. The care my dog received and the professional, friendly, helpful service I received at Campbell River Veterinary Hospital has been absolutely excellent - I would recommend them to anyone looking for someone with which to entrust the care of your fur children :)

CR Vetrinary Hospital will give free consultations to dogs and cats, but not for any other species of life. Staff used the term "first time customer" when referring to me and my animal, instead of being referred to as patients. Very unprofessional and unethical. It is very apparent that this facility is not driven by the desire to help animals, but rather the desire the to make money. What's next, daily deals, and "fix two animals for the price of one"?

Not Impressed. Called the emergency line, spoke with some one at the answering service. I could barely hear them, it was like I was on speaker phone and I could clearly hear the other operators and It was confusing to me in a stressful situation. I stated my emergency, and requested to see the vet. It has been 2 hours and still have not received a call back . Thankfully After waiting 15n min I called another vet. They call us right away. Our dog is recovering . It's unsettling to know if they were our only option our boy could have died in my arms waiting. Will never go here again.

A few weekends ago, my Great Dane, Bella was not acting like herself at all, so I called the after hours service who contacted the vet on call to get in touch with me. Dr. Cunningham called and met me at the clinic shortly after. Not only was she incredibly caring and supportive, but she also answered the 100 questions I had for her, ensuring I understood everything that was going on regarding the tests and other procedures she felt were necessary for a proper diagnosis. The Clinic Manager, Sheila came to assist Dr. Cunningham until one of the Technicians, Colleen arrived, as X-rays were necessary. After sedating her, Dr. Cunningham and Colleen picked her up and handled her so carefully on the X-ray table, even though Bella didn't care too much about anything once the meds kicked in. During the entire visit, it was obvious that the number one priority was to keep Bella comfortable at all times, which really put me more at ease as well. Dr. Cunningham is an incredible veterinarian and I would recommend her to anyone, no questions. The quality of care that Bella received that evening was excellent and consistent with the care she has received during previous visits to this clinic. I will always take Bella to this clinic, and would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Cunningham, Sheila, and Colleen for taking such special care of my girl late into the evening, and for taking the time to explain everything to me along the way. We saw an improvement in Bella the very next day and now she is back to herself, which means the world to me!

You will not find a better vet than Dr. Vasile Dzsurdzsa. He is absolutely exceptional and provides services above and beyond even what the best vets out there will offer. It's obvious that he is not only extremely competent but also that he truly cares for animals. We can't say enough about how happy we are with having the pleasure of having him as our vet.

I had to bring my little Chihuahua Gidget in for an emergency visit and they got her in right away even though they were quite busy. Another unscheduled visit a couple of days later due to a worsening condition, same thing. Saw her right away and were very caring and staightforward about her treatment and prognosis. No sugar coating but in a thoughtful manner. Unfortunately she couldn't be saved and when I had to call them the third time early in the morning they once again got her in right away and let me hold her while she went to sleep for the last time. Every time I was there I felt like these people really cared about my little dog and wanted her to get better, but they were also very honest about there being a point at which treatment should be stopped and that was important because it didn't make me feel like I was giving up on her when I knew it was over. Anyway I got a card from them a while ago but didn't open it until today and it was very sweet, it had a little seed filled paper to plant and grow some forget me nots. I would definitely recommend this vet.

We recently moved to CR. This was our first opportunity to have our 14 yr old Bichon seen by a vet at this clinic. The staff are all very friendly, and professional. Dr India Fay was absolutely wonderful and put my anxious dog at ease in no time. She was very attentive, professional and thorough. First rate!

We're new to Campbell River and had a scare one evening with my 8 year old shih tzu - called the emergency after hours line and spoke to Dr. Woodward who met me at the clinic. He was great with my dog, seemed to really care and took the time to explain things in terms I could understand to me as he examined her. I went back for x-rays during regular clinic hours, and everyone in the clinic was so friendly and helpful. Dr. Woodward took the time to go through all the x-ray results right away, answered all my questions and again, just really showed he cares about the animals. Thanks so much to everyone for making a scary experience much less stressful!

I would like to take the time to thank all the staff members of Campbell River Vet Hospital | Animal Clinic Campbell River For there Caring & Compassion during or time of need. Our 16 year old cat named Sukura all of a sudden was in distress. They took him in right away and after an examination let us know what was happening. They gave us options with out any pressuressure. In the end we had to put him down as there was nothing that could have been done. They were very understanding and allowed my husband to be with our cat as he took his last breaths. It was very kind of them to do that with the social distancing. They were also very gentle and respectful as they handled our big cat and put him into the card board coffin when my husband was ready. Thank you is not enough for what you all did for us.
