You will be able to see the reviews of people like you who buy the services and products of Kingsdale Animal Hospital (Veterinarian) in Cambridge (Canada).
Now this firm receives a rating of 4.6 over 5 and the rating is based on 127 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is basically the top, and it is based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may think that the assessment is quite accurate. If people have bothered to value when they are happy with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to place reviews when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Veterinarian corresponds to the category of Veterinarian.
Awesome place. The girls there are so lovely and supportive.
Reasonable rates and good service!
My dog's vet is here, it's a decent place with a friendly staff and doctors.
The absolute best vets I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with
There are no words to describe our gratitude to the whole Kingsdale team. We will never take our pets anywhere else! They are truly dedicated to their patients, all of the staff are. We had a really rare situation with our 1st puppy and we had to let him go. I can't imagine getting through it without the team at Kingsdale. Thank you thank you thank you! Our new puppy goes here now and we couldn't be happier!
The vets and staff at Kingsdale are amazing. They take care of my dog as if he were their own.
These people go above and beyond.
I took my cats to this vet during a span of two years, where I was overcharged and agrivated by my experiences here. I tried to adopt a stray cat and brought him to this vet for care after I saved him from the middle of a busy street and this vet called the humane society on me trying to get him taken away even after I told them I was keeping him. They ended up finding the previous owners of this cat and contacting them for me without my knowledge, and the previous owner didn't want their cat back and dropped it in the middle of nowhere. I kept the cat and he is in a much safer home. My second cat is elderly and started having some health issues last year. I've heard good things about other vets at this location, but I had Dr. Montgomery and google told me more about what was wrong with my cat than she did. She suggested expensive tests and had no idea what was going on when I googled his symptoms and knew right away and wanted to look at treatments. My cat is hyper thyroid, which she did test him positive for but she also told me that he probably has cancer or heart failure as well and she told me I would not have very long with him. She also threatened to call the humane society again on me when I told her I wasn't going to put him down when he was having a little bit of breathing difficulty and I wanted to treat him until I felt he was suffering (I know my cat after 12 years, and he wasn't suffering). She was completely insensitive, rude and out of line. After taking my cat to a different vet, my cat was found completely healthy (minus the hyper thyroid) and he was taken off all of the other useless drugs Dr. Montgomery perscribed him trying to get money out of my family. A few months later, my cat's breathing is completely normal and he's happier than he's ever been. I also know that Dr. Montgomery mistreated my cat when I wasn't there because he was terrified of her, hissed at her and cowered in his carrier whenever she came in the room, but before I came to this vet in 12 years of this cats life he has NEVER hissed, bitten, scratched or even growled at anyone before. I would not recommend this vet to anyone who wants good care for their animals or a full bank account. (Update: A year later, I still have my rescue cat, and my elderly cat is still a completely healthy and happy boy - and this is still the worst vet in town.)
I was really happy with my initial experiences with this vet but recently I’m left to wonder how much they actually care. I am dealing with an accidental pregnancy.. When I called and explained the situation I asked to have a puppy count done. I explained that my female is very small for a pug and we’re worried she won’t be able to deliver her puppies safely. The receptionist that I spoke to was very nice and understanding, she even advised me the best time to bring my dog in to make sure there was more than one vet in the clinic because they like to get more than one person to do a count so it’s accurate. When I brought her in for her X Ray to have a puppy count done I received what felt like a generic phone call.. x amount of puppies and here’s your bill total. When I tried to ask a question the voice on the other end in an unfriendly tone informed me that my appointment was with a technician and if I had questions I should have booked an appointment with a vet. I was under the impression that when I booked and voiced concerns that I was going to be speaking to a vet. Maybe that was my bad for not asking but I felt like my dogs well being was a last priority and it wasn’t a very positive experience.
Amazing care, reasonable prices, and they take the time to explain the whys and what's. Down to earth and not vague with explanations. Each time I have gone there with Merlin I have left well informed and with the feeling they actually care. I highly recommend this clinic
Kingsdale is a professionally run clinic with dog boarding at competitive r ates. We use them mostly for weekend stays. The fact that they are associated with a Veterinarian gives us confidence they will provide the care and attention to our dog's dietary needs.
Say to a very special job in looking after our Cockapoo she is so sweet well trained and well-mannered she has changed my life and I'm grateful to her hope she will outlive me thanks Kingsdale animal hospital for everything that you do have a good day
Recently, I brought my kitten for three vaccines and a neutering, I had many questions and the staff was super helpful on explaining, providing feedback after appointments, and recommendations. Everyone was polite and professional. Big shout outs to the ladies answering the phones! very nice, helpful and a good sense of humor.
Best vet in town ???? I've been taking both my dog's there since puppy's and I will not go anywhere else. And groomer is awesome ????
Dr H and all the staff are the best. We wouldn't take Roxy or any of my animals anywhere else
Very friendly neighborhood. The day care is awesome
Only in it for the money... We took my cat here and she was diagnosed with diabetes, the vet INSISTED on checking her blood sugar every 2 weeks, and charged us $50 for every single appointment, even if we were only in the office for 20 minutes. We kept the kitty on expensive insulin shots for 3 months, and she never got any better. The vet kept insisting on continuing treatment, but my cat was clearly suffering and we asked to have her euthanized. We were treated very poorly during the entire event, and after all the grief we were told there was NO OPTION of taking our cats body to our family farm to bury her, and we HAD to pay the $200+ to have her cremated (in a mass-cremation, so we didn't even get her ashes back). Every other vet we've been to has allowed us to pay for the euthanasia and then bury them at home. Horrible treatment, horrible vet, cannot say STAY AWAY enough. *I was directly contacted by the Vet's office and have corrected some information. My experience was back in 2013, so things may have changed since then.
The staff are always so friendly and remember me. I never feel like any problem is too small to bring them. Pets are in really good hands
Our cats have been clients of Kingsdale for many years. They, and I, have always received exceptional care. The team has been there for us through normal times and medical emergencies and I cannot speak highly enough about them. They are transparent, calm and clear. Willing to take the time I need to discuss different treatment options or different tests that may give us more answers. The Kingsdale team always goes out of their way to ensure our sick animals are comfortable and supported. I've seen a few reviews stating that "they're in it for the money" or "they don't care" but the amount of hours the doctors and other staff have been on the phone with us and emailing us to discuss diagnosis, tests, and, unfortunately, loss cannot be motivated by money. They have gone out of their way to accommodate our animal's needs, squeezing us in to ensure our cats get the care they need. Everyone at Kingsdale deserves a medal. Especially for the amount of times they have had to listen to me cry on the phone.
Exceptional veterinary care for my dogs. Pleasant staff and caring vets. Explain and give options for pet health.
Location: easy and lots parking Knowledge: smart people and friendly Price: expensive for little animals, don’t know about bigger ones. Staff: friendly, helpful Clean, yes, very Will I go there again, yes.
After having to leave behind a vet we loved it was tough to settle on a veterinarian when we first moved to Kitchener. Once we found Dr Alyson Clark at Kingsdale Animal Hospital we knew we had found her! Recently we had to say goodbye to our dear Sitsi. Dr Clark was so gentle and understanding during this difficult time. We highly recommend this animal hospital.
We received excellent care. Standard pricing, clean environment and friendly staff.
Kingsdale is amazing, the staff are awesome! They really care about our fur babies. Brought my baby there for end of life, Dr. Montgomery was so caring and took me through the entire painful process with great empathy. Now we have a new fur baby and we trust them to give same amazing care and attention. Highly recommended!
Prices have gone up drastically in the past two years. I won't be bringing my pets here anymore. The receponist didn't seem very excited to answer my questions about simple procedures and their costs.
Dr. Hinsberger and staff are the best in the city hands down
All the staff here are really great, from the girls at the front desk to the veterinarians. We really enjoy working with Dr. Hinsperger. He will really listen to your concerns and offer different options, and then support you regardless of your decision. As a pet owner and true animal lover himself, he is great at putting himself in your shoes to understand all the factors that should be considered for each case. I have also worked with Dr. Montgomery once or twice, and she is really great to work with as well. A nice extra service they offer here is boarding for your cats if you're going out of town.
Friendly staff and great vets. Very pandemic aware with excellent measures.
Excellent service. We have 4 cats, one of which has a neurological disorder cause her to lack the use of her back legs. The vets are patient and explain the issues they discover clearly and are able to recommend the best actions immediately. They do not try to push unnecessary operations or prescriptions. There cat nail trimming services are also indespensible. Will continue to take our cats here forever.
Great staff, and kind doctors. They took good care of our Pancake.
New client to this practice and they are efficient, kind and treat patients well. ♥️
After reading all the good reviews I was going to bring my cat here. But after checking out the website I learned that they offer declawing service here. It's a barbaric and totally unnecessary procedure, plain and simple. If you can't handle the claws that come with a cat, then you shouldn't have a cat, and all vets should be on board with that.
Today my daughter had to make the a decision to put her dog Tessie to sleep. It was a very tramatic time for her. I would like to thank Dr. Brad Hinsperger for is very pationate and kind manor that he handled this situtation and all the honest and professional care that he had given Tessie since her injury. You were very patient and gave my daughter all the support and time that she required. You and your staff are outstanding and we thank you very much. We have been bringing our dogs to the Kingsdale Animal Hospital for many years and will continue to do so. Thank you again.
My cat Zita is no longer a patient at Kingsdale since I moved to Ottawa last year, but I want to leave some comments about the care I received here. She's had some terrible skin lesions since I adopted her, and we visited a different KW vet many many times to try and figure the problem out. We even paid $1000 for a surgery to remove those lesions. In total, we probably spent $2000 at the other vet, to no avail. By chance, I was moving between apartments and had to find a boarding place for Zita, and Kingsdale was the closest, and I figured I could have them look at her issue and provide a second opinion. Dr.Brad was immediately able to figure out the issue (severe food allergies) and after a few followup appointments and medication, Zita's skin lesions all disappeared. He called many times to followup, and I was overall very very impressed with his care. It's too bad that I moved, because I definitely would have kept my cats on his patient list.
We do boarding and they're great!
Very friendly staff, and skilled doctors.
Brad is phenomenal. Beyond highly recomme ded
The staff is great with my dogs. The dogs are not nervous as you would think. Its clean and the prices are reasonable
Friendly and familiar service by front desk staff - when I come in to pick up my pet's food they remember me and my pet every time. Veterinarians are knowledgeable and patient with questions.
Other people always look at me weirdly when I tell them my dog loves going to the vet...and even after going through laser surgery and all the vaccinations, he is still so happy to go to Kingsdale to receive so much attention and care from the wonderful technicians at the desk to his favorite vet Dr. Hinsperger. I would recommend this place to any pet owner!
I brought our cats to Dr Montgomery several times and I am impressed how knowledgeable and caring she is!
Everyone at Kingsdale is simply amazing. I have 3 senior dogs and they are always greeted with love and pets and snuggles. One of my boys is a very scared little guy who can be a bit of a challenge. The staff are so patient with him and show him nothing but love. The care they provide is simply the best. You are always given options and choices so that you can chose for yourself what course to take. But the best for me is that my vet Dr. Hinsperger always lets me know what he would do if it was his dog while giving me the options. My dogs are groomed here by Jill who always wonderful with my boys. They are also boarded here on occasion and I know they get the best care. Hands down the best vet around.
Love this vet!
Took my chihuahua here today. I got him new he’s 11 weeks old and I wanted to find the best vet for Jax. After reading many reviews on different vets some good and not so good I decided to take my baby boy here and very happy I did! Dr. Tara Montgomery was wonderful with him and the staff! Very clean friendly place not to mention the price is reasonable. I also made an appointment for my daughters dog 10 month old German shepherd and Dr. Tara was absolutely awesome with him! I highly recommend this veterinary clinic for your fur babies.
Very informative.
Dr. Brad is the best vet I've ever brought my dogs to. He explains everything in detail, and he works with you to make surgery affordable.
I have to say at Kingsdale my pets and I have been treated like family. I took my Koda there for 12 years and when the time came to put her down the staff and Dr. Hinsperger grieved with me. Some of the staff came in to say goodbye. Now with our new puppy they have given us extra time and info. I trust them completely. Vet care is not cheap but the quality and care they provide at Kingsdale gives me piece of mind.
The vets at kingsdale do a great job! My pup is getting older and I trust that he is getting great care with them. They have also done a great job during covid. Communication has been clear and they have been responsive to my questions and concerns even though I can't be in the appointments in person.
Clean space, friendly and caring staff.
Well organized business. Easy to book an appointment online and looks like they use 21st century technology unlike a lot of other business in this field. The Dr and assistants were caring and gentle with my cat Lana. Loved it there.
Honest, informative caring place.
We bring our two rabbits there everytime we need a vet, groomimg or boarding. They have excellent and freindly service. There has never been a single issue. They are very good to out little buns.
My dogs love them. Kind and courteous. Knowledgeable staff. Been taking my pets there for more years than I can recall. Did I mention they love animals there? Well they do.
Great service, our dogs love seeing Dr.Brad and he always gives good advice and different options for your budget. It is generally a bit more expensive than other vets in the area but the service is exponentially better. We love being able to book appointments and see info online.
The staff here is always friendly and helpful! And it doesn't hurt to see people who love their pets :)
Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience with their cat boarding which is what prompted me to write this review. Prior to the Labour Day weekend, I was scheduled to drop off my cat for boarding on Thursday evening. It was very easy to make the booking and I was appreciative they had space given the short notice. Over multiple phone calls, I repeatedly asked what would be the latest time I could arrive. I was told I had until 7 pm. I arrived just after 6 pm to discover the building was closed and no one on-site. Apparently, they reduced their hours for the long weekend. I am not opposed to this but Kingsdale took no steps to phone or email me about this change despite having been asked multiple times about their hours (original hours were still on their website and a board just beyond the entrance). At great expense and hassle, I had to find alternative arrangements within a few hours prior to my trip. Kingsdale never bothered to follow-up in the subsequent days about my missed drop-off appointment.
Duke just had his 12 week shots... So awesome that we can socialize him now without having to worry. Everyone at Kingsdale is great.
I cannot say enough good things about the people at Kingsdale. They have taken care of all of my pets at one point or another in the last 5/6 years and they have always done an amazing job. Every single vet we’ve met there was exceptionally friendly, all the techs are incredibly kind. But the real highlight for us was when our eldest cat Lara got sick and ultimately passed. They did EVERYTHING they could for her, and Dr. Hinsperger kept her comfortable for her last week on earth. She passed away at home and we brought her in to be cremated and they gave us a room to say goodbye to her in for as long as we needed and wanted. And a week or so later, I received a card in the mail from Dr. Hinsperger saying how sorry he was that she had passed and that they couldn’t help her more, and that she was such a lovely cat. THAT is the mark of an incredible veterinarian and one who really cares. If I could, I would give these guys 100 stars because they are amazing at what they do and they really do care about the animals and their human companions.
The staff are fabulous and made me feel at ease with our check ups during Covid times.
Fantastic Vets. We primarily see Dr. Montgomery for our two cats and dog, but both Dr. Hinsperger and Dr. Clark helped with an ear issue for one of our cats as well. The entire team is very compassionate and they are always willing to answer questions we have over the phone as well. They are never pushy with extra services or options either, they just explain the benefits of a treatment or procedure and leave the decision up to you. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.
Huck our dog loves to visit the folks at Kingsdale - and we are thrilled with the quality of care and communication and a very successful surgery with Hucks sutures coming off today!
I really appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the professionalism of the veterinarians. One of my dog doesn't like a lot of people but they handled him well with gentleness and efficiency. They did everything to ensure the wellbeing of our dogs.
We are very happy with the service from the staff at Kingsdale. We had a terrible attack on our one dog, which resulted in emergency surgery. Dr. Hinsperger was amazing. He explained everything to us before proceeding and did a fantastic job on our fur baby's amputation of a couple toes. I highly recommend this vet clinic. Not only the vets, but the technicians and all the support staff are incredible!! . Thank you to everyone at Kingsdale for being so wonderful to our dogs.
This is by far, the best vet we have ever been too. The girls at the reception are always pleasant, and when I call in a panic, they keep me calm. They are very accommodating to appointment times, and always find a way to fit you and your furbaby in. We have 2 small dogs, and 2 rabbits. They are very knowledgeable with rabbits (not a lot of vets are!), and did a great job with our bunnies Neuter and Spay. The thing I love most about Kingsdale, is their honesty. They're not pushy, and only recommend what is important. If I don't understand, they take the time to explain what certain vaccines/medications do, and then let me make a decision. We have sighthounds, and Dr Clark is very gentle and understanding with them (they spook easily! Sensitive little things). HIGHLY recommend!! :)
The staff is very helpful and friendly to us both and they are very caring for our pet. When we needed them to care for our cat they have been enjoying helping us out
We have a new dog and want to make sure she has the best care. The vet and staff are always very welcoming and assuaged some of my first time dog owner jitters.
Dr. Hinspurger is the best.
I strongly agree with the positive comments, but want to note that this is only if you don't care to count on them in times of emergency. I also agree with the negative comments speaking from my own experience. They don't handle emergency calls and requests properly at all! So if you have any emergency, go to the emergency vet, and just give them a courtesy call. Do not count on them to help in that situation! On one morning 9 am I suspect that my dog broke his legs and he was not moving and in pain. I called immediately. The girl said she will see if there is anything available. But they didn't call me back until 3 pm in the afternoon. Something is wrong with their business model here. If a dog is in pain, and the owner notified you the minute after your open, you should try and see the dog immediately. This can be done by leave some spots for same day emergency, or reschedule some regular visits. Due to this incident, I'm seriously considering changing our vet to another one that has longer hours and will be there for me and my dog when we actually needed them most!
They really care about the animals
Always a pleasant experience here, very kind and professional. They have a good solid covid plan, and continue to provide exemplary service.
Our place for our 2 dogs.Doggy day care is affordable and you will find if you need a place to keep your dogs while on vacation they are treated well and walked every day
Bryanna is always so happy when we arrives at Kingsdale Animal Hospital and at home time ????????
Dr. Montgomery is amazing. She makes sure all our questions are answered, gives us new info with a lot of detail and education, is kind and caring and has been so helpful through our cat's cancer journey. We feel cared for and know our cat is getting the very best care available.
Knowledgeable and helpful vets, great staff, we trust them to have our dogs' best interests at heart.
Everyone is so friendly and professional and Puggy and Lucy love going there. Puggy because he is allowed to give kisses and because he loves any attention (he gets loads of it there). Lucy has previously hated going to the vet. You had to force her inside and she was agitated. At Kingsdale she bolts to and through the front door. I am very pleased. They did an amazing job cleaning and extracting any bad teeth. They were knew dogs after this procedure. Puggy will be 9 and is like a puppy again with all his healthy teeth. Lucy is on a plan for a monthly shot to alleviate the arthritis in her knees. An obvious improvement to her mobility since that. Great place for your pets.
Dr Brad is the Best vet ever!!
I have not had one bad experience at this clinic. Infact, my dog had ingested deadly amounts of some sugarless gum and was rushed to an emergency vet. After the emergency vet discharged her she still needed to be monitored by her regular vet (kingsdale). Kingsdale came through! Right at 8 am they were waiting for us. File in hand and ready for my Beatrix. Dr Clark is an amazing Dr who took her file and went over it with a fine tooth comb and gave us the prognosis and great hope for my girl and explained the options. I felt at ease for the first time in 48 hours since this had happened. She even said how this is the same treatment she gave her family dog which made me trust her even more. Even just the way she handled my Bea was so gentle and loving which added to the trust factor. The techs and other staff were also very lovely. They did not just swoop my girl from me and rush her to the back. They let her stay with us and we got to visit and just be with our dog; which did a lot of good. I can't comment much on emergencies as I didn't have to rush her to that vet. That being said if you have an emergency go to the emergency vet. If you had an emergency you wouldn't call your Dr and demand they see you during a heart attack. You would go to the emergency room. I'm not saying they are not equipped or not trained. Not many vet offices have the same access to resources as the emergency vet does, even the emergency vet almost sent us to the vet college so we would have more medications and specialists. As for the price. It is what it is. People need to get paid. Medications and supplies cost money. All of the staffs education costs money and that's what we are paying for. I do not feel ripped off. Nor do I feel like they took my dog for the money because frankly (bill is quoted 550 a stuffie included) wouldn't even pay all the staffs wages for that day. Please keep being amazing. Thank you for all your training and knowledge along with compassion your clinic has. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
If I could give zero stars I would. My dog was a patient of theirs his entire life... the receptionists are ignorant and do not care about animals. All in it for the money. It took them weeks to diagnose our dog with 2 forms of cancer. We were told blood work would be done to confirm then told when it came back that the test they do in house is not thorough so we would need to come in and do more blood work and send it away, quoted $65 on the phone and when I went to pay it was $85. When I called to tell them our dog was very bad and needed emergency attention we were told they didn't have time and would medicate him til they could put him down the following Monday. I was forced to go to an emergency vet to have him euthanized that day. When I called to tell them we would no longer need the Monday appointment as he had passed away over the weekend, their response was "OK I will cancel the appointment, thanks" NO COMPASSION WHATSOEVER. Do NOT go here. They do not care for your animals (with the exception of one part time Vet named Tara who was much more compassionate) Unfortunately because of the rest of the employees I will never bring another animal of mine here nor recommend this place to anyone. My dog meant everything to me and they treated him like nothing.
This Vet has been nothing but accommodating! The Dr's are extremely nice and take the time to truly understand what your pet is going though. I had 2 emergencies and they got us in right away. Great pricing and amazing staff! Highly recommend this Vet.
The staff took great care of my cat when I was away on vacation.
The rating was originally 5 starts however I have changed it to 3 due to recent events. I called crying for help because my cat who was diagnosed with TCC was bleeding out and I didn't know what to do. I was all alone at home and there was blood everywhere. You could tell he was in such pain. I called and the one receptionist said she would pass on my message to our vet and get back to us. No return phone call within the hour so I called back. Got the other receptionist who got instructions for me to follow and if it was not positive by 5pm to call back as we would then need to action the unfortunate option of euthanasia. I called back just before 5 and got the first receptionist who I spoke with. Told me they were full and I'd have to book in for the next day. I informed her my cat is dying but because everyone was busy and they were booked up for the day, they couldn't help me. I finally around 645 received a call from my vet who just got the messages at that time. She is a lovely woman and the only reason right now I'm giving at least a 2 star rating because she stayed on the phone with me while I examined the cat. At the end, she advised he more than likely would not make it the night and we should bring him to the emergency vet on maple grove. She called ahead to explain everything to the emergency clinic so we would not have to go through painful diagnostics. I cannot thank her enough for contacting me back and providing so much love and care for my baby during the last week's of his life. She is a wonderful, caring doctor. I really wish she would have got my messages at 2pm when I called. When you have a pet that is bleeding out and dying, you hope for better support so they will not suffer or endure any further pain ????
I love the staff and easy online management of my pets appointments. The location is a but funky but well worth it for the service given. I appreciate having a nice local animal hospital.
We’ve been clients since the pips were pups.
Always great staff who care!
Take care of my boys really well
Friendly and professional
Overpriced, misleading, can't give you straight answer...stay away
The staff are great. They do it for the love of animals and their prices are very reasonable.
Very friendly staff, amazing prices, and great service!
Dr.Brad is truly one of a kind. The time he takes at explaining things is so wonderful and in depth. He is so comforting and knowledgeable. He goes above and beyond each and every visit. Thank you Dr.Brad for your outstanding customer service and love for these animals.
Very loving towards pet's. Very helpful
I have been taking Buddy my 8 year old Yorkie to Kingsdale for about 4.5 years now. The first doctor I met there was Dr. Brad Hingsperger and he has been an absolutely caring doctor. We have taken Buddy for several situations, including our dog eating Burr, having dental issues and occasional diarrhoea. However, not too long ago, Buddy had a pancreatic situation which had to dealt with and my husband and I were very worried and thought we might loose him. With proper diagnosis and care, Buddy is doing well and with the dietary control, he is doing well. The other doctor who has been very caring is Dr. Alyson Clark and she has been wonderful. Most people at the hospital now knows Buddy as he is an energetic guy and jumps around like a little monkey. The staff is very patient, courteous and helpful . The hospital is kept clean and an inviting ambience. It has been an overall very good experience .
Fantastic staff and veterinarian! Prices can't be beat.
I was very happy with their boarding facilities for our family cat.
They are kind and are willing to explain each detail.
Kingsdale Animal Hospital has provided exceptional, friendly, reliable and supportive service to my family for almost 20 years. The facilities are clean, the staff are friendly and welcoming, the veterinarians knowledgeable, caring, and trustworthy. We have trusted Dr. Brad Hinsperger with many surgeries for our boxer and he is always open to discussing and pursuing alternatives. Our dogs literally love going to the vets! I recommend Kingsdale to every pet owner I know.
Amazing and caring service. The negative reviews all seem to be about them not having emergency care, nether does my Dr's office. There are emergency facilities for that. I have been going here for years and they have alway made an effort to give my late cat exceptional quality of care.
It is difficult to find a vet who truly knows how to treat pet rats, but my experience with Dr. Montgomery was fantastic. She gives very thorough exams that other vets don't and is extremely knowledgeable.
Symba was taken care fast. He needed to be treated for kidney stone and he was treated the same day. Kingsdale called me each day with an update on Symba. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you Kingsdale.
Wonderful service! My three-legged little fuzz ball was super comfortable with the awesome vet tech and Dr. Hinsperger. Dr. Hinsperger took the time not only to discuss the results of Tofu's physical exam, but to also talk about nutrition which I really appreciated! I felt that all my questions and concerns were answered and Tofu and I left feeling happy and at ease! Thank you so much, and I am happy to know that the staff at Kingsdale Animal Hospital will be there to take care of Tofu as he grows :)
Always my fur babies here and never have had a bad experience. Very clean and professional staff.
Caring, friendly staff. Great care for both of our dogs.
They're always amazing with Luna. She comes back a better cat every time!
Always taking great care of the animals, veterinarians are super kind and passionate about what they do. Front desk staff is super friendly.
Their staff are very friendly and helpful. They always pick up the phone and put up with my questions (not that I recommend pestering them!).

They are so great with my dog
All of my animals are patients at kingsdale and I honestly wouldn't go anywhere else ! Amazing, friendly staff, who are very pet oriented and knowledgeable. I have not once had a bad experience with kingsdale, even in emergency situations.
I love this vet! I have tried so many different vets and never felt like they cared. But here at Kingsdale they are compassionate and understanding of all your pets needs. They actually show they want to be there to help your animals. Dr. Montgomery is amazing! She is very thorough and explains everything to you in great detail. Highly recommended this vet to anyone looking for a great and loving place for your pets.
Great care for our dogs.
Was looking for info about my cat
I have been using Kingsdale for six years. I have always felt good with the care my dog received. I will continue using their services.
Love all the staff and vets!!
Workers compassionate when having family pet euthenized
Staff are friendly, and are very knowledgeable.
Exemplary service. Thank you for your kindness
Funny how so many dogs have mysterious vet bills when they are boarded...
Great Vets and staff
Very good place.... professional....clean....good prices
I had to bring my old cat here to be put down. The staff was so nice and respectful. I would definitely recommend them.
Friday Dec 13th, I took my 13 week old pup Bear for his booster shot. What was to be a routine visit turned into anything but...within seconds of Bear getting his needle he went into anaphylactic shock! (Who knew this could even happen? I sure didn't) Thanks the the quick reflexes of Dr Montgomery my beautiful pooch is alive and well. She was amazing!!! She explained everything that happened with me Emailed me in the night to check on Bear. Spent all the time I needed reassuring me. I cant say enough about her and the staff at Kingsdale animal hospital.
Friendly, knowledgeable, and patient staff
My mom has always taken our cats here, now i take mine. They go in depth to explain every question you have and are happy to help with any concern. I would definitely recommend!
Excellent veterinarian clinic. Most recommended
I feel that I must respond to the many people that say Kingdale is a horrible place.....but before I do, I must state that I do not currently have pets that are patients there and my comments are strictly based on my visits each time to the clinic. Each visit was not always a 10/10 - BUT not everything in life is perfect! First of all, regarding euthanization - we have owned several cats over the years and go back at least 18 years with this vet. Not once we were ever told that we could not be in the room with our pet when it was to be euthanized. There was always care and compassion from the vet. They were patient & kind each time, allowing us to stay in the room as long as we needed. Secondly, I can understand that when you call the vet & want to have your pet "put down" that you expect to get in right away. This is not realistic as they are not an emergency vet clinic and nor do they claim to be. Making this kind of decision takes time & we were able to book an appointment in order to have this done and yes, there was a wait. The cat was already sick & we knew it, so it wasn't an emergency. Yes, waiting may have prolonged the animal's pain & suffering but it had been suffering from the time of diagnosis & we chose not to have treatment as that was our right. Thirdly, there have been numerous times that we have taken a pet in for a visit when they were sick, not realizing that they were actually dying, and were never turned away while there to have the pet euthanized. Time and care was always made available. Fourthly, as a customer it is your responsibility (even in your time of need) to ask questions so that you can be informed about all policies & available treatments. Would you not do this for yourself or a family member? No one can sit back and be complacent, you need to take charge and ask questions! So, the fact that you said you couldn't take your pet home is garbage & that he had to receive a mass cremation is also total b.s. We have 3 urns here in our home with 3 cats dating over the 18 years (including when you said that you could only receive mass cremation). We asked about other options and none of our precious pets were cremated "in mass" and were promptly returned to us with a wonderful paw print & sympathy card. Perhaps, you weren't told about these choices by them at the time (& maybe they needed to do a better job of that) but again - YOU needed to ASK questions yourself! Lastly, to all of you who say that they are a rip-off and very expensive. Come on people, all vets are there to make money. After all, it is a business - but you can only hope that any vet will provide great customer service and care in your time of need. Have any of you been to other clinics? We have...and the pricing at many is absolutely outrageous. They were and still are very competitive in their pricing and at times are much lower than other places!! Depending upon your loyalty, you may even see a charge or 2 dropped on occasion! You always have to weigh pricing with customer service and standard of care. Nuff said!!
I haven't been to the vet there but considered the dog boarding they offered. I asked them to show me where the dogs stay and they brought me to the back. It looked like a pound set up. The floors are completely concrete with very little privacy. I left my dog there for 5 mins and left thinking it would be ok but sitting in the car thinking about it definitely broke my heart. I ended up going back in to remove her from the place and took her somewhere way further that was definitely worth the drive.
Staff is very friendly and all of the doctors are amazing
One of the best around.
Dr Brad Hinsperger is by far the best vet I've ever been to. (And I've moved around a lot). Both of my cats have been in to see him with two very different cases. Each time he's been very caring and took his time to thoroughly examine my kitties. He also has personally called me to go over test results, next steps, and check ins. He is incredibly knowledgable and explains things in a way that is very easy to understand. I will forever be bringing my cats and future pets to him.
They look after my Rudy a Westie thats been in the Family for 13 years now .and the Staff is very pleasant to deal with.
Great staff, Knowledgeable Doctors
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They're our first choice for veterinary care.
Clean and friendly
I love Kingsdale Animal Hospital. We have been going there for many years. The Veterinarian are very thorough, caring and answers all your questions. We never feel rushed.
Compassionate people who treat animals and owners with respect. Also know their stuff!
Great place, vets are awesome and staff is friendly. Very reasonably priced.
We took my daughter's dog and they were very kind to her; because of COVID19 we could not enter the place (all the precautions taken????), but if we wanted we could watch, from outside, thorough the "glass wall", while vetenerian was checking on her.
They were "our vet" until we called on them for emergency treatment on a busy Saturday and were told we would have to wait until Tuesday. Our pup wouldn't have made it through the ordeal without the help of our previous vet who saw us within twenty minutes of our call even though they were booked solid. No emergency premium was expected by the vet we are returning to. We were disrespected by Kingsdale, bye bye forever...you missed the boat, we have several pets you could have been treating for years to come.
Extremely disappointed by the lack of care at my last appointment. I feel anywhere else would be better than going back here.
Kingsdale Animal Hospital is one of the greatest veterinary hospitals I have had the blessing of going to. The girls up front, Maddie, Reiley, Nikki, and Randi, you are all so kind, loving and compassionate and my furry friends cannot thank you enough for always looking after them!!! All of the doctors are excellent and all staff bend backwards to accomodate my animals in their time of need. It is shocking to me to see reviews that state anything opposite as these people truly care and are DEDICATED to their work, staying late, over working themselves to make sure they can do as much as humanly possible. Love you all so much for being such an excellent, amazing, and wonderful hospital. My little baby wishes you a Merry Christmas!!!!!
Wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else.
They are horrible, very unprofessional and lacking of experience. Asking clients to find out the correct forms and procedures for them. "Last time we did the CFIA form for one of our client, but the client said it was not sufficient, so we do not know if we should do it." Like, what? I mean, if people aren't so familiar with internet or anything, don't go with them. You paid tons for the documents and you have to do all the research for them, it is not even worth it. I agree with the reviews saying the receiptions are ignorant. Every mistakes they made they always have an excuse. "We are overwhelmed""Your address is wrong""We dont know about that but you should plan ahead for 2 months" Hey girl, even if I did plan ahead, Kingsdale would really screw me up because some documents are required to be done within 10 days before the flight, and you have no idea how to do it. If there is a competition of being careless and unprofessional, I believe you auto-win. Every excuse makes me questioning "Wait, I DO PAY THEM, OR DID I?" P.S.: They charged me to redo the paperwork because my address is not up-to-date. P.P.S.: No double check so they still got my name wrong after redoing. HAHA.
I called in for my two sick cats and they fitted me in. The doctor was very thorough and I was pleasantly surprised with my bill, that was much lower than I expected with the amount of medication I needed for my two cats. I will sleep better tonight, knowing my kitties are on their way to get better!
Good servise
I have been coming to Kingsdale Animal Hospital now for 12 years with my furry babies! I would never consider going anywhere else for their care. The doctors and staff are all incredible there, very kind, caring and always there for me when I have questions or concerns. The clinic is always clean when we come in, and the girls at the front all greet us with a smile and they know my dogs names every time we come in! I am constantly referring my family and friends here because I know they will have the best care for their pets too!!! We love Kingsdale ????????
They were very friendly
I have gone there for 18 years. They have always been very kind and loving towards my pets. Very thorough with their examinations and have taken the time to answer all my questions.
They made my "sad--euthanasia" consultation/euthanasia appointment as stress free as possible. They let me stay & hold my beloved cat during and after the procedure. I forget the veteranian's name but she was very compassionate etc., above & beyond and I wish to thank her immensely.
I cannot say ENOUGH about the care we received at Kingsdale Animal Hospital. From the very first phone call we were treated like family and warmly welcomed. Having recently moved to Kitchener, we had been looking for a vet for our dog Maui and tried 2 other clinics before EASILY choosing Kingsdale as our new veterinary "home". Maui had torn her ACL and required surgery. Our options were clearly outlined in the first call by the very friendly front desk staff (the ones who greet Maui with great attention and excitement when we come in, every single time). The costs were described in detail and throughout the entire process, we were not surprised by ONE thing, financially. In fact, there were extra visits and treatments that were included that we felt really SHOULD have been "extras". This is the most ethical, caring clinic we have ever used, and we have had many vets over our 25 years of having pets. Dr. Hinsperger is an EXCELLENT surgeon who very clearly cares about the welfare and comfort of the animals he treats. Dr. Montgomery was amazing with Maui and made sure we were well informed and comfortable with the decisions we had to make about Maui's surgery and after care. Dr. Murfin also saw Maui for an "extra" visit (due to Maui's over-protective parents ;-)) and was also wonderful and caring with all of us. Maui has healed incredibly well thanks to the professionalism, skill and care of every member of the Kingsdale staff. If you are looking for a vet who will more than meet your expectations, I would HIGHLY recommend Kingsdale Animal Hospital. ~Robert and Mary Ellen Gervais and Maui
These losers will happily violate human rights to enforce a medical intervention that is proven ineffective. Great place to go if you value apartheid and medical incompetence!
Great place take all my pets there staff is friendly and helpful. Would recommend this place to anyone and right near the highway make it really nice also
I just moved to the city and was looking for a new vet for my kitty. I was able to seamlessly create a profile online and book an appointment through their website. I met with Dr. Alyson Clark who was fantastic, informative, personable and patient with my nervous fluff ball. All the staff were friendly and took precautions against COVID. Definitely recommend their services!
Had to board my dog for a week plus. They were very good to him and myself. Prices are reasonable. Dogs are walked every day. My dog got along great which is unusual for him but he liked the staff. Says it all for me.
Love this animal hospital and all the vets and staff
Dr Brad and staff are the best
Great vet
Wonderful caring people.
Very knowledgeable and compassionate, with your pets best interests in mind. Excellent Vets and support team
We have been going here for many years and the staff is great. Very compassionate and willing to spend time answering all of your question.
Very positive uppity beat people delivering bad news in most positive way possible.
The most compassionate and caring veterinary care I have ever experienced. Dr. Brad and the staff are wonderful.
The staff are friendly and very helpful.
I have an eight year old cat who is very difficult at the vet. While he's a great cat at home, he becomes very aggressive at the vet (I believe he's afraid). I've had vets refuse to provide him care due to his behaviour and other vets who provided minimal care. Kingsdale's experienced staff could deal with his behaviours and meet his medical needs. They wore welding gloves to hold him, genius! I recently brought in a new puppy. The vet provided us with tons of information, did a thorough exam, gave vaccinations and answered all of our questions. She took her time and we did not feel rushed at all, despite it being her last appointment of the day. I would recommend Kingsdale animal hospital to everyone who has a cat or dog!
People that love and care for your pets, as much as you do.
Getting run around to bring cat in on and getting nothing but a runaround
I brought my dog into other veterinary offices and spent a couple grand on xrays, blood work and prescriptions trying to find out what was the issue. Took her to see the doctors at kingsdale, two appointments and they figured out that the others were treating her for the wrong thing and I was told by them to prepare to put her down....Dr Hinsberger said no way and now shes on the mend!!! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH GUYS!!!!
Excellent, caring people.
Every person at Kingsdale Animal Hospital is amazing. Dr. Hinsperger is always fantastic, answers all my questions, takes the time to go through every thing and what are the best options, and, of course my pup loves him. You can tell they work tirelessly and want nothing but the best care for their patients. Thank you to all who work there :)
My dog was recently spayed at Kingsdale Animal Hospital and I have never been happier making the decision to go there for her. When calling around to find a place to take her Kingsdale was my first choice after calling other clinics. The staff on the phone were able to take the time and answer all my questions. Not once did I feel rushed with all my questions, and felt re-assured that she was going to the right place. We brought her in for her pre-anesthetic exam and Dr. Hinsperger was great! I ended up choosing the laser method for her, and when I picked her up you wouldn’t have even known she was spayed. Thank you to all the doctors and staff for your amazing care for my sweet Bella! We will be recommending you to all of our dog friends!
Probably the best vet that I've been to! They are very caring and take the time to answer all my questions. Their prices are reasonable and very respectful. Highly recommended.
My dog was an on-going patient at Kingsdale. I called on Saturday because my dog was dying. I needed to end her suffering. They turned me away, saying that there wasn't an opening until Monday. They didn't provide any other options. My phone call with them probably lasted 30 seconds and they ended it. (I found an emergency vet clinic on my own... no thanks to Kingsdale.) Shocking!
Great care for my fur babies!
Great service
Very great service! Great staff! Couldn't be happier to have found this place!! Good job everyone!
In 25 years of owning pets I've never encountered better care than the Kingsdale staff! I currently have a cat with a one-of-kind esophageal condition and can say with absolute certainty that he would not be alive today without Dr. Montgomery, her care and compassion. Now almost three years later, he just had his third birthday and wouldn't have lived beyond three months without having just the right professional to help figure out how to feed him (he can't ingest solids), ensure he wouldn't be treated like a guinea pig for tests and making us as comfortable and well-informed as possible during a critical and scary process. Tests have never been suggested (or advised against, which does happen!) without a full explanation of why and what they would entail, along with all other possible options and any associated costs. I will never take a pet to anyone other than Tara as long as I have the option! My cat is also quite aggressive but seems to understand and appreciate that the Kingsdale staff are there to help him, and contrary to 'standard' cat behaviour Kingsdale is the only place I can bring him where he remains calm and relaxed, and is willing to be handled by others. I have also had the opportunity to visit with 2 other vets at this location and they provided great care as well. My extended family has many cats and dogs, they go here too. If you want confidence in making an informed decision about the proper care of your animal, this is the right place. I read a lot of reviews before deciding to take my pet here and I'm glad I recognized that most of the negativity was written hastily..or perhaps with a lack of understanding of true ethical treatment. Tara and all the Kingsdale staff are first class!
Good place for pet care.
Been going here for years. Always received excellent advice and service for my pets.
I wouldn't bring my animals anywhere else. These woman are absolutely amazing!!! I love it here and would recommend them to everyone
We just recently adopted a rescue cat and had to take her into Kingsdale because after a few days at home we noticed her eye was really swelling. Not only was I impressed with the super clean facility, the staff was extremely welcoming and got us into a room right away. Our visit was with Dr.Clark and she was amazing! Dr Clark took her time and thoroughly checked Gigi over, she even took some time to see how the healing process from being spayed was going and that procedure wasn't even done at Kingsdale. Aside from telling us how to care for Gigi's kitty cat cold, Dr Clark gave us very helpful information and tips about how to help a rescue cat settle into a new environment. Two days after we took Gigi to Kingsdale, we received a call from them just checking in to make sure the eye drops were helping and Gigi was starting to feel better; it was greatly appreciated :)
Fantastic vets great staff
I have to say that this is the worst service I have ever received for an animal. I have had many animals over the course of my life and I have had some poor service before but the staff at Kingsdale takes the cake. They don't even try to hide the fact that they couldn't care less about your animals suffering or the pain of the owner. Over the course of diagnosing my dog's illness I saw a couple different vets there and I was absolutely disgusted with how these people treat those in need of help. I have never felt more like a dollar sign than I did the past month at kingsdale. The interest of that place is purely financial. If you don't believe it by all means take your animal there and find out for yourself but if you love your animal the way I did then I urge you never to go to this vet. In response to the owners post I definitely did not blame Kingsdale for what happened to my dog. He was sick and eventually passed away and that is part of life. My problem with this vet is how we were treated by multiple members of the staff throughout the process. I found the lack of compassion absolutely atrocious. You can list all the things your vets do for pets they see there but those are completely irrelevant to this particular situation. Yes the vet we ended up dealing with at the end was more compassionate and that was stated but does not change the other two vets we saw or the receptionists we have dealt with over the course of this. Anytime Dr. Montgomery was not involved we were treated poorly. The impressions I have been left with about this animal hospital are based off of my personal experiences with the staff there and how they were not there for us when our dog needed them the most. You can say that we did not specify the euthanasia when we called in Saturday but that is a lie. The fact of the matter is we knew our dog had taken a turn and we knew it was time to end his suffering. That is why the call was placed. We took him to another vet to have the procedure done just hours after contacting Kingsdale and being turned away for what our dog needed. Why would we go through the stress of finding a new vet during this difficult time if we could have taken him to the vet he had seen for the past 11 years? The appointment offered was to medicate our poor dog and make him suffer until Monday. That clearly was not an option for us which is why we did not wait. compassion noun 1.a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.
We have been a client for 23 years and when we needed them to see our very sick dog they were not available and told us to go to another vet so we did and pulled our dogs records from them
Best vet around!
A few weeks ago during a snow storm my cat became very ill, we weren't able to get to our regular vet and began calling around. Kingsdale was the only clinic we could reach and they made time for us. They were fantastic, they went above and …
