I do like the doctor, he is caring and listening. Been a customer there for a while, few times, different reasons, and generally quite helpful. But recently got an over 50$ just for a small shot of some antibiotic which in the end didn't do what I was told "it might do" (some turned out to be a non-dangerous condition)? Hmmm...made me think. For such an expensive shot I would expect a discussion of it's necessity and price. (E.g. I didn't do an $80 huge wart removal for myself as it isn't covered by insurance). But I have no idea what I'd get elsewhere, so can't really say. But feels too much for a miniscule shot (0.5ml of so).

I just want to thank the Veterinarian and the staff today for taking our dog Akira in. We were very distraught as our dog had been suffering from an on going ailment. Recently the pain he was suffering from was becoming too unbearable, so we took our dog Akira in to have him put down. We didn't have an appointment. But, they quickly took us in as our dog was howling in pain. This office unfortunately only appears to have one room to take clients in. However, they allowed us to grieve and be with our dog as he was put to sleep. I'm sorry but I don't remember the name of the girl at the desk who helped me or the Veterinarian. I commend the doctor and staff and even the other patients in the waiting room for not giving us any hassle for tying up the only room. Our dog had just turned 20 on Feb.14th, 2020 I pray that God will bless you all...in Jesus name...Amen!

Patient since we first got our 12 yr old puppy. Went once earlier in February, they rejected service as doctors had “left the clinic early” even though it was 2 hours before closing time. Calling the clinic now ahead of time to see whether they can make arrangements seeing our pet during this difficult time of covid, they dont even pick up. Overcharge and rude receptionists.

Absolutely disgraceful experience. My dog was suffering from a severe allergic reaction and was barely breathing. I brought her in distraught asking for help and the two vet techs on the desk were horrible. They looked at me annoyed, and told me “we can’t help you here” They didn’t even have the decency or compassion to spare a moment and let me know where to go. Vet is not bad..but the old receptionist lady was going by the book and told us we'd need to pay for our 1st vet exam for our adopted cat from BCSPCA...even though we had the paper saying the 1st vet bill from most vet clinics within 3 days of adoption will be covered by BCSPCA. We brought the cat to this vet one day late because that's the earliest day they could take us in...but we took our cat in asap!! SO the receptionist consulted with the vet and they did take us in for free. But not happy with the service of the receptionist lady. We're going to other clinics elsewhere because we don't want to deal with this stern looking old receptionist who doesn't greet us with a smile and also gave us a hard time during this first visit!

My last baby I had to lay to rest December 3rd, 2019. Dr. Hans was very respectful and loving throughout the whole procedure. I will miss my Mama but she got to leave peacefully and painlessly. Horrible experience. My 10 year dog was there on Oct 26, 2012 for dental cleaning. She was under anesthetics. I was informed that they will provide complimentary nail trimming. My poor dog came back with 7 out of her only 16 toe nails with exposed quick and patches of dried blood. 3 on the right front paw, 2 on the left front paw, and one each on her hind paws. One toe on the left front paw (the meaty part, not the toenail) was also injured and had a big blood clot, while the toenail next to the injury split with ~0.8 cm of quick exposed and bleeding. Right now, her left most toe of her front right paw is very swollen and infected (corresponding nail was one of the bleeding ones). Took her to the vet again and vet claimed that it had nothing to do with the cruel nail trimming but blame it on my dog licking her paw and her clawing the kennel due to separation anxiety. However, when we picked her up from the vet, she was so weak she could barely walk. The clipper used during the nail trim fits perfectly against the injured sites on her toe and split toe nail. It appears to me (and of course I will never know what really happened), that the "clipping section" was directed at the side of her nail while the tip of the clipper caught the web/meaty part between her toes. I have been taking my dog to the clinic for many years but this experience for me and my dog was traumatic and I will never return to that clinic again.

In January we had two kittens spayed with no wait amid covid insanity and extreme wait times everywhere else in Burnaby and New Westminster. It is now our vet. No pressure for unnecessary shots or unneeded costly procedures.

Absolutely the worse. Most unreliable and they have a LYING doctor. Do not trust them. They just want your money and give zero damn about you pet. This place makes me want to never visit another vet as i now have zero trust that they know what they are doing. I've brought my 2 cats here before to get a rabies vaccine shot as one of them goes outside in the summer and all the Indian doc. tried to do the entire time is try and sell me on 10 more vaccines FOR BOTH to add on top which all sound like nonsense. This is not the bad part. I agreed to 2 out of 10 vaccines he tried to sell me on and when it came to giving one of my cats a rabies shot, he couldnt do it. Yep. He was scared of my cat. My cat never scratches people especially strangers, (very very gentle and harmless girl) she only struggles away if she doesnt like being held down which this doctor absolutely failed to do and kept flinching and jumping away from her as my cat would make any quick movements to escape his grasp for the shot. I was staring at this in shock thinking, are you seriously afraid of a cat? So then he gave up. Yep. He told me to simply give her an oral medication when i got home (cause he couldnt even give that to her either lol. Guess he's that unexperienced with animals or something is not right here) anyway, so forget those shots he tried to sell, then i told him to do a check up on their health and if there was anything i had to worry about because one of my cat was born with heart murmur. So he asked me "ok, what do you want me to check on them?" I thought you charged for check ups for a reason? Do you not have a process to go through? Im not the one calling myself a doctor here so why do you ask me? So i say uhm, well first maybe the heart murmur!? He checks the heart beat and thats that, says its all good and yep still charged for this so called "check-up " in the end of it. Then before i leave he asked me what kind of food i give my cat. I say, Wellness Core which ive now switched to Orijen. Then he tells me how his expensive and awful "pedigree" cat food that he carries in his store is better. That's when i got really angry. I've done my research on cat food and you know what? He was trying to tell me that the cat food i give which contains zero wheat and zero meat by-products, than the food he was trying to sell me which has all of that very unhealthy stuff in it.. is better? What? Ah thats's right, for more cost on my bill. Even his desk lady looked at him with a face, knowingly that he was absolutely full of it. So yea. Don't come here. This happened to me last year and i still hold a grudge for how horrible they are. If you want a cheap vet, sure. But what does that say about how much you'll put into you pet? I cant get myself to bring my cats to another vet after this untrustworthy encounter.

Lack of professionalism, if you spend so much time gaining a degree in care you should have some empathy on your patients. They are not just pay checks people trust you to provide for them regardless of cost. If a test is required to confirm might as well do it and get it done. If someone makes a trip to your establishment and is willing to provide personal information and pay for treatment it is in the best interest of the establishment to look for the best possible outcome and treatment. 0 stars if possible at least learn your patients name a lack of empathy when in health care shows much more then any 5 star reviews. This was my first vet experience, as I had recently adopted 2 kittens. The poor things had ear mites, so I made an appointment and brought them in. The lady I spoke to on the phone said I could just bring one kitten in for the exam and they would give me enough medication for the other one too. I brought both kittens with me because they have never been apart and thought it might make it easier on them. I confirmed that they were only examining 1 cat. They looked at both and then gave them both a dose of revolution to kill the ear mites, and cleaned their ears (I told them to just clean one and I could clean the other one, since that is what I had been doing for the last little while) they cleaned one kittens ears and said they would clean the other complimentary. They also gave me a "cat pack" it was a cute backpack with a toy and blanket in it along with some information. And sent me on my way with some ointment for their ears. In the end they did charge me to examine both cats (but at $25 each it was worth it). All in all I paid $122 to have both cats looked at, treated and have their ears cleaned. I am quite happy with the service I was provided. The only thing I wish would have been different is that I would have gotten to speak to the vet about other things regarding their food/ weight, and health. I saw him once when he looked at both of them and he didn't say much just took one kitten out of the room to treat and clean her (I didn't even know that is what he was doing). I would have liked to have been there for that- and seen what they were doing with her. And after that a vet tech/ assistant came in to get the other one to treat it, and left the room again. Kinda strange. I just wish there was better communication between pet owner and vet. Overall I would go their again- but definitely make sure my questions were answered before I left.

I have been taking my dogs here for close to to 20 years and they have seen 5 of my pets at various times plus a whole litter of puppies. One thing I really like is the professional opinions I was given with along with options. I had one complicated surgery and an option was given to bring in an outside surgeon that specializes. I did just that and never regretted it. I am sure I have one of the thicker files in their office. They have done everything for me from vaccinations to surgeries. I recently had to bring a 16 year old female for a medical opinion. I was considering euthanasia and the doctor took the time to evaluate the dog and gave me a very thorough break down of her health conditions and what my options were. It turns out she is old but she is not suffering and has plenty of days left. I came away feeling better and with a home plan that works for me and my dog and for that I am grateful. That is why I am writing this review. Years of outstanding service have convinced me that my pets are in good hands.

After a late night trip to a 24h emergency clinic in my neighbourhood I walked away feeling helpless and without hope with only one option that didn't cost a mortgage payment and then some. The very next day I was referred to this Clinic. Needless to say, I spoke at great length to the vet about my best friend. Not only did he work with me he gave me hope and saved his life. With respect to reception, please keep in mind they have more than one job you only see the front half however in my opinion it's what happens on the other end that really matters. My buddy was very well taken care of with minimal stress and discomfort I think that's worth a minute or two don't you?

Excellent vets. I have bringing my two kittens here (well they are cats now lol) for over 2 years. When I first came they gave me a "new kitten" kit, which was a backpack with a blanket inside and other things for my kittens. Also I would carry my cats in my arms into the vet (they are very well behaved) because I didn't have a carrier yet, and the nice receptionist gave me a brand new carrier for free! so caring and nice of them. The vet is very good at what he does and has helped my cats anytime I brought them in.

Will not be returning to this vet. Took our cat in for a check up and they suggested we get some yearly vaccines so we agreed. A few minutes later (after they took her to the back alone, behind several doors) I hear my cat literally death screaming as if they are torturing her in the back. I don’t think anyone could listen to their own cat screaming like that, any sane person would know that something is not right. After a few seconds I decided I would go back there since it actually started to get worse. I go into the room and they have four (4) people pinning my cat to a table with one person dedicated to shoving a muzzle on here. She has scratches all over her face and ears so its obvious how rough they were being with her. As soon as they saw me walk in they stopped pushing so hard on her and tried to tell me that they did this because the vet had a tiny scratch on his finger (like have you never dealt with a cat before?) She weighs about 7 lbs. and we trimmed her claws right before taking her... Upon further discussion with the vet (“Dr” Manjnder Hans) failed to explain why they were being so rough with her and why they didn’t even contact the owner if they were having difficulties. This is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. To finish it all off they said they would give us a 5% discount and would leave a note on our file for next time to keep us informed as they go through with the exam? No idea how this isn’t already a policy here but okay. These people clearly don’t know how to deal with animals. The way they treated my cat is completely irresponsible and quite honestly just sickening.

I have been bringing my cat here for years care and boarding. I know when I board my cat here. She is very well taken care of. I left her at Metrotown animal vet and the wonderful vet assistance gave me almost a day by day of my cats activity and they knew her so well, they actually described her behaviour and habits????. When my cat comes home she is looking for extra attention as I know at the vet they gave her alot of love and attention. Wonderful staff here

I went Friday morning because my cat appeared to be in organ failure(I've had this with cats before). I was obviously very visibly upset and in tears and the lady at the desk was very unpleasant as she informed me they were full and couldn't help me. She seemed very annoyed that I thought they might just take me as it was an emergency even though I didn't have an appointment as I wasn't planning on my cat dying that morning. Won't be returning.

He's knowledgeable and relaxed with my 2 dogs. One of them is quite aggressive with strangers but Dr Hans gently but firmly took charge, and she had no issues at all.
