I really liked this clinic and the first time the female receptionist/ helper was rude to me I let it go and chalked it up as an off day. But yesterday when I called to verify how much Spaying my cat would be ($350) because i was recommended by friends that it’s half that price at many others. I was told “yes it’s $350. Dr.Mann said if you can find it for cheaper you can just go there cause this is what it is here.” It was so rude. Just confirm your price and that’s it. I even said before I’m not looking to price match when she acted like that’s why I was calling. Telling my I can just go elsewhere….no problem, I will. Not based on price but based on your bad attitude. If you have to go ask the doctor how much spaying a cat would be every time rather than just having a price list….that’s looks shady. Maybe it’s not, but you make it appear that way. Spaying is spaying. I’m sure I’m not the first person to ask how much so the fact there is no set price list is weird.

The front desk attendants are awesome! I always order a full box of W/D wet food and dry food from this clinic. The order comes in a very timely manner, I get the reminder calls that my order is in. My cat recieves all of his medical needs here from insulin bottles/syringes to ear infections to dental care. Whenever there's an emergency, The doctor still accomodates us even after clinic hours! Awesome place, highly recommend!

Dr. Maan was amazing and understood that I loved my dog and wanted the best for her but couldn't afford every test to be absolutely sure of a diagnosis. I felt he really cared about my dog and he had the experience to diagnose and treat my dog quickly and accurately. He did a great job on my dogs surgery and he was so patient explaining things to me. I brought both my cats in here and the vet was really nice to help take care of my kitten for a day to give rest to my older cat. But the kitten had what I thought was a rash and he didn't know what I was cost me 400 for testing and still now idea. When was it was something as simple as cat acne. He didn't even mention it could be that at all he just made me pay 400 to test for cat leukemia. Spent entire night cared and I had lost my job at the time so 400 was a lot to pay. Especially for something thst wasn't even serious.

My dog choked on a beef tendon chunk and was feeling really unwell around dinner time when most of the vet clinics were closed and doctors were not on site anymore. I was very nervous and searching for nearby clinics. I called Edmonds St Animal Hospital, it was 7:01PM and Dr.Mann was about to get off work but he was willing to wait for me to bring my dog in. My dog successfully vomited out the beef tendon chunk. Dr.Mann was very gentle when treating and handling my dog. He was also calm and thorough during the whole treatment and letting me know what he’s going to do and answered all my questions. It was 7:48PM when I left the clinic. I’m really thankful that Dr.Mann waited for us during off hours and saved my dog’s life.

I’ve moved from Burnaby to Vancouver to Merritt but will still only go see Dr Maan as I believe in building a good relationship with your vet and sticking to them for years. I have been going to Dr.Maan for 8 years now with my husky/kelpie dog. Dr. Maan has done nothing but good things for my girl. Dr.Maan is difficult too understand at times, however his assistants are great at interpretation if your having a hard time understanding him. His prices are affordable and down right reasonable. I am so glad I was recommended to him from another dog lover friend. He can stick around far as I'm concerned. Super rude vet. Looked at my cat for 5 seconds and wanted to prescribe a bunch of shots and antibiotics. When I questioned his treatment he told me that I should go back to my previous vet and that he wasn’t going to treat my cat anymore. But it's a small place with not a lot of AC packed with animals with no water fountain or any way to give them water. And I waited for 3 1/2 hours before my dog was seen. Dr. Maan gave him a shot and some meds and within just a few days everything cleared up. In my experience, Dr. Maan has never pushed unnecessary treatments or procedures as other vets had to profit. He now treats both my dog and cat and has for years. Highly recommend.

It's a money grab !! They don't care about what's in your pet interest. They rather charge you more than fix what you went there for. Was walking with my cat outside and was hot ????, i went there just to make sure they don't have Mites and this doctor said: - they don't have Mites but need sedation to clean thier ears. ( evan though they were quiet the whole visit) - my male cat is overweight compairing to my femail cat. ( if you have cat you alredy know male cats are usully bigger, beside my cat was over weight and now he can jump higher and clean his butt) - thier ears are red and that's probably food allergies (thier ears usully not that pink but becuse of the hot sun it turned to pinkish color) Then when you think he will be out of scams line he said - thier body temperature is hot and start to qustion as they were sick!! If i don't know much about cats i would said yest to the sedation then changed thier diet and agreed for unnecessary medication and tests becuse he is a doctor and doctor know better! Not worth the visit, thought i'll find closer doctor but no. It's worth the trip to go to thier regular doctor then this doctore.

I wish I could give this vet 0 stars because it was the worst experience I have ever had (and I have had some pretty bad vet experiences). My dog has been having runny stools the past few days so we brought him in as a new client to be seen by Dr.Mann. After spending maybe like 30 seconds examining my dog, he says that it could be an infection and that he would need to do further tests or he can just give him antibiotics. When we asked what tests he just listed all possible options and prices, and told us to pick. We were confused as to why that choice was on us when he should be the subject matter expert and perform tests that would help him figure out what is wrong with my dog. Additionally, I was even more confused that he wanted to perform $200-300 injections on my dog when he didn't even conclude what was wrong with him. When I brought up how he's had this experience before and the other vet diagnosed him with something, he was so quick to be defensive and said "okay then go back to that vet. If you like that vet, go back to them." I was completely thrown off by his rude remarks and did not understand where the animosity was coming from. When I started showing more frustration about the situation, he started going back on his words by saying my dog will get better in a week with no treatment but then 5 minutes later say that he will need injections. At this point, I did not trust a single thing this vet was telling us. Basically just wasted $40 on a consultation and left even more confused than ever. I strongly do not recommend this vet to anyone. Dr.Mann is rude and carless about the pets he is seeing.

Dr Mann and his team saved our 13 week old Frenchie during her first week at home after getting deathly ill. Forever grateful for their care. We've been to a few different vets in Vancouver, Dr Mann and his team are the best we've dealt with to date. Prices are extremely fair, and Dr Mann's calm and methodical approach always puts our minds at ease. He will not rush to conclusions and recommend every test or treatment in the book if he does not deem necessary - one of the reasons the prices are so fair. The drive is a little far for us, but is well worth it knowing our pup is always in good care. Special shoutout to Olivia and the rest of the techs! The pup thinks she's on vacation every time she's there ????

we took our kitten, Squeaky, here to get her vaccines, spay, and chip. the vaccines and microchip went fine but the spaying has been a nightmare of negligence. we took our then 5.5 month kitten to get spayed on the 29th of august. she split her stitches which was on us. she got restitched but the incision looked gross (brown goop). we kept taking her in and vet said it was fine, its clean, it will heal, just cleean it with iodine and send us on our way. we finally took her to another vet and the wound was badly infected. shes had an infection for almost a month! we brought her in to the vet around 5 times since august 29 and not once did Dr Mann even suggest that we should do something about the thick brown sludge coming out of her incision other than him cleaning with iodine. we trust our vets to have our animals best interests at heart. if Mann was not confident in performing an operation or treating our Squeaky he should have said so and we couldve saved a lot of heartache. it could have been a lot worse, an untreated infection is nothing to mess around with. kitty is now getting 4 pills a day, liquid antibiotics, and some epson salts for the wound from our new vet. they took a swab to see whats in it but said its to bad to leave untreated any longer and didnt want to risk waiting for the test results. To me this shows Mann is either grossly incompetent or willfully negligent and I dont know which is worse. If youre practicing medicine you should be able to diagnose a visibly infected wound. we'll miss the woman at front desk though, she was always so sweet.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAT HERE, HE KILLED MY KITTEN, PLEASE READ AND DO NOT RISK!!!! It was suggested to me by a friend to take my Kitten here, my friend is a dog owner only.. so maybe he's good with dogs.. my baby was only 4 months old when she got a kitten cold, he suggested antibiotics that we did and she was still sneezing after occasionally. Dr.mann then suggested she get spayed early as she would have an easier recovery.. so I took his advice, when I dropped her off he said she was good to undergo surgery. He called me a couple hours later and said "the cat died" but claimed the surgery went great.. When I went in he said there was fluid in the oxygen tube when they went to check if she was breathing on her own after surgery and that this would be due to fluid in her lungs.. but that her lungs sounded fine before surgery. When I read the death documentation he noted "slight congestion" under the lung section. I have asked another vet they said he shouldnt have performed surgery if she was sick and he knew, which she was and he knew but ignored. She was 3.8 lbs. HE KILLED MY BABY DONT GO THERE PLEASE. it has been confirmed by another vet he was negligent and to report him. I am reporting him to hopefully get his license stripped, upon reading through reviews I have read a few other animals have died unexpectedly. A cat should not die under spay surgery and if he had not suggested spay so early and while she was sick I wouldn't have risked it. He assured me she was fine.. he must not have monitored her during surgery properly. The vet assistant also hadn't slept the night before as I heard her talking about it. Olivia the other vet assistant however is fantastic. I will never go here again.
