You will see all the opinions of people who buy the services of Central Park Animal Hospital (Veterinarian) in the area of Burnaby (Canada).
At present this business receives a score of 4.2 over 5 and the score is based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings is quite good, and it's founded on a very high number of scores, so we can think that the assessment is very faithful. If many people have bothered to rate when they are happy with the service, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to put evaluations when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Veterinarian belongs to the category of Veterinarian.
I worked here for a summer to complete work experience for school, and I can confidently say that this has been an exceptional experience! As someone that worked alongside the doctor and staff, I got to see firsthand just what great people they are. This is reflected not only from the way they treat the pets that come in, but also the owners too! I would highly recommend Dr. Sidhu and even if you're a little hesitant, just come in for a casual check-up and see for yourself! Best regards, Dr. Sidhu!
Been bringing one of my dogs here for over a year now. Recently got a puppy added to our family and brought him here for his pup shots. Dr.Sidhu is always so kind, gentle, and friendly. He will always let you make the final decision as for what is best for your furry family members. Would recommend him to anyone.
Excellent service and extreme attention to my puppy. We felt very welcomed, Dr. Sidhu was very attentive and helpful and answered all my questions as a first time dog parent. Fair price for the service and vaccine.
Do not waste your time or money here. We took our puppy here one evening after we found a tick on him. The vet did not seem to like dogs, kept his distance and even asked us if our dog was a “good boy”, as in, whether he needed to be worried about being attacked. I don’t even know the doctor’s name because his communication was so poor. We definitely left with more questions than answers and feel very frustrated. Instead of answering our questions and addressing concerns with what had already happened, he kept pushing that we should have vaccinated him against ticks. Honestly felt like it was a waste of time and money and would not recommend anybody to take their dog to this clinic.
Really kind and caring staff. They take great care of my pup!
Need a vet? Take your beloved pet here and you’ll both walk out happy.
Se4vixe was quick and staff was friendly
Dr Sidhu is amazing. I'm a poor student and love my Kitty so dearly. He was very patient and very thorough in his explanations about everything from worms and medications to what food is best. I recommend him to everyone. When I couldn't afford the surgery Kitty needed right away he let me pay in two separate payments, and laid out multiple options for me in clear terms with the associated costs, risks and benefits. No scare tactics or guilt trips, just genuine help in a stressful situation on a limited budget. He handles all of the animals with gentleness and care, and his staff are just as sweet and calm. You can tell they enjoy their job, and it shows in their customer service when dealing with clients. Finally, their prices have got to be the lowest in Vancouver. They ensure that your salary is not a barrier to your pets health!! I can't thank Dr Sidhu and his lovely staff enough.
I'm with doctor about 6 years since they open. Doctor always keep my little boy and girl healthy
Very nice
We have been coming here for years and I love them so much. Dr Sidhu is the best! If you’re looking for a place that is reliable, has a positive attitude and genuinely care for you and your furry family member, this is it. Finding a good vet is really hard and I’m really glad to be able to call them whenever I have a question and be received there with such a welcoming vibe. Always with a great positive attitude and willingness to help. Our cat goes there since she was 6 months (she is 5 now). I have been through so much with life and told Dr Sidhu many of my adventures and he is always cheering for me, so sweet. Thank you Central Park family ❤️
Our pet became violently ill while we were at work. When we arrived home we contacted Central Park Animal Hospital and they were able to see us that evening. We were greeted in a thoughtful, and kind manner. From the beginning of our experience both Dr. Sidhu and the lab assistant were kind, caring and helpful. Dr. Sidhu is a good communicator. He explained our animal's problem well. He was able to help our pet and give us advice which we were able to use to make our pet's life better. We have made a follow-up visit and I am confident that whatever animal lives with you Central Park Animal Hospital will give you proper, kind help to ensure your pet is in vibrant health.
I have been going to this clinic for years . Dr. Sidhu has looked after 3 of my pets now. He is the most professional and caring vet . The staff are very professional and caring. I highly recommend this clinic and feel totally confident in there work at all levels.
Went here after a recommendation from a friend. Lovely and friendly staff. So helpful and patient with our nervous pup. Dr. Sidhu is lovely and gentle. First class treatment and a good eye for detail. ????
Dr Sidhu and his staff took excellent care of my cat Felix when he was suffering from a urinary blockage earlier this month. This was unfortunately not the first time my cat has experienced this issue as he has a UTD, and the care provided for him at Central Park Animal Hospital was on-par with other animal hospitals that have provided care in the past. Cost was well within what I was expecting, lower cost (by $1000) than taking him to an emergency 24/7 vet clinic. As another review mentioned, Dr Sidhu took the time to show me the x-ray of my cat and his bladder/blockage, which was a first - no other vet I have been to in the past has taken the time to show me this. Dr Sidhu made great recommendations to help adjust my cats diet, and at-home care following the 3 nights he needed to be catheterized at the clinic. Thank you very much for your hospitality & commitment to ensuring my cat was back to normal and healthy again.
I wish I could give them more stars! I noticed my cat wasn't doing well around 8pm tonight. I googled to see which vets were open and this was the only one open past 8pm. I called and told them what I was noticing with my cat. Dr. Sidhu said I needed to go in right away and that they would stay open until I got there. When I got there they immediately took me in and examined my cat. Dr.Sidhu explained the different things that could be wrong. He then gave me a detailed estimate on how much it would cost to have my cat looked at (although expensive, I appreciated this). Very professional, took the time to show me x-rays, explained in detail what he found, how to treat it, etc. If I had of called an ER vet, it would have cost triple what I paid tonight. When I was ready to leave, his assistant helped me carry everything to my car and was just so helpful and polite. I will DEFINITELY be returning. Such a well established, friendly and professional animal hospital!
At moment's notice, Dr. Sidhu received us, examined and cared for our loving mini dachshund. He provided excellent care, ran some diagnostic tests and stabilized her before contacting us for pick up. It was so nice to work with a professional. Thank you.
Disappointed with the service we received today. Brought in our pet rabbit for an initial checkup, and the vet was running late out of the clinic. After 25 minutes we finally got to start our appointment, but all he checked was the heart rate of our bunny. His assistant even had to remind him to check if our bunny was neutered or not. No ear check, didn't ask for his diet plan, or if we had any concerns or questions. After clipping our bunny's nails, he left the room saying "he looks good to me" without acknowledging our presence, informing us of anything we should be aware of concerning rabbit health, or even just thanking us for coming in! Even though prices are "reasonable" will not be coming back.
Prompt professional service, very good with our kitty who required surgery on his back leg. He's doing very well now, and he appreciated the gentle touch from CP Animal Hospital's staff. Shadow gives two paws up! :)
Open on holidays!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff to help you with your fur baby needs!
Amazing Veterinarian and staff. Takes great care of our Pittie.
Bring my cat here when we go on vacation and she likes it
Great service
Great place, clean, organized, they really care about your pet. Cost is reasonable, definitely I will keep going with my dog there when is need it.
Highly recommend this clinic! They take amazing care of the pets as both a vet clinic as well as a place to board your pet if you're going away on a vacation. The entire team is wonderful, and if I could give more stars I would :) easily 10/10!!
Amazing service and surgery done and great price
The staff is super helpful and take great care of my cat every time I board her. Always a positive experience!
Dr. Sidhu took care of my injured cat and got him back to his normal lively self just hours after his injury. Great friendly staff, the clinic is new and well-equipped, and prices are reasonable!
First time at this veterinarian, and had a pleasant experience with Dr. Sidhu and his staff. My little guy thought he was superman and hurt his leg jumping off the couch. We were in and out within an hour, with x-rays and all. She's in recovery now but couldn't have made the trip to the vet any better. Thanks!!
Best doctor and staff you will ever find..my dog needed an emergency tooth extraction turned out to be several teeth extracted..and was choking on a loose tooth,,thank god the clinic was opened till 9pm and the staff were very professional and very caring..i was afraid to have my dog put under but they assured me she will be fine..this is day after her extractions and shes already up and about eating and active,,thank you so much for being so prompt professional and caring about my little princess and she thanks you as well..my bill turned out to be a bit higher than i expected but my dog was worth every cent..i highly recommend this clinic to anyone that loves their dog and wants an honest doctor and staff care for her..if i could give 10 stars i would...dont hesitate to take your baby to Dr Sidhu
Dr. Sidhu and his staff are warm and caring. I brought my cat Jackson in who was very ill. Dr Sidhu and his staff took him in right away and started caring for him immediately. Dr. Sidhu had a medical appointment for himself however he came back afterwards and did a medical procedure on Jackson to help him which I think is very telling of Dr. Sidhu's work ethic and compassion for animals in need. When Jackson needed emergent care, Dr. Sidhu arranged the transfer of information and called ahead to ensure the transition was quick and smooth. When I brought Jackson back to Dr. Sidhu the next morning, all the staff welcomed Jackson back with kindness and genuine concern. The staff took care of him for several days as though Jackson was their own cat and ensured he was well enough to be discharged home. Dr. Sidhu has called everyday to get updates on Jackson's progress and will be going back for a follow up. I am so grateful to Dr. Sidhu and his staff for caring for Jackson so he was able to enjoy Christmas at home. Thank you so much!
Dr Sidhu and the rest of the staff are extremely attentive and loving towards the animals. Staff are always extremely thorough explaining treatment options and what is needed for home care and follow up.
Where do I begin last night we brought out little baby Gucci to him he's been having the runs for three days and not eating we originally went to Surrey animal hospital where they wanted to charge us three hundred for hospitalization after reading there reviews I knew they were out to make Money. Dr sidhu was amazing he took care of him right there at ten o'clock at night he was feeding him and playing with him and he was just amazing. He gave Gucci a couple shots and saved us two hundred dollars. The office was clean and amazing we walked around everywhere he was like a father and his knowledge and experience showed when he dealt with our pup I recommend this vet to everyone I been searching for someone like this for our dog and I'm sure you are to. And again recently we got our dog neutered and once again save over two hundred dollars and amazing job on our older chihuahua
Best animal hospital around. Dr. Sidhu is the kindest man I have run into. He saved my cat when he was pulled through the engine of a car. Opened the office at 3am and got him stable. Searched around for ways to help me pay and did everything he could to make sure my cat was ok. I will always go to him, because he cares as much about my animals as I do. He is an animal lover who became an animal healer. I cannot recommend him strongly enough.
Amazing service! I brought my dog Charlie in for a check-up as he wasn't feeling too well a couple weeks ago. This clinic has great hours, so they were able to see Charlie the same day. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful in setting up an appointment and Dr. Sidhu did a great job in caring for Charlie. He explained what Charlie may be experiencing and created a step-by-step process for his recovery. I will definitely be a repeat customer and I recommend this clinic to everyone. Thanks, Dr. Sidhu!
I am about 6 months late to this review since I lost my cat Mizty in July 2020. Although the level of service I received from staff and specifically Dr. Sidhu gave me an extra 9 more months with my best friend and then the utmost compassion when I had to say my final goodbye. If I were to ever get another Pet I would not hesitate in taking it to this place. Thank you so much Dr. Sidhu
Great staff, visiting for 5 years!!
Took my 3 year old pup here For some stomach issues and they took very good care of him. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and considerate of what tests to perform so it’s not an overcharge for what is needed. Dr. Sidhu and staff are very friendly and clearly show the care they have for the animals they treat. Will come back
Many visits over the years with a cat and two dogs. Upfront with pricing and friendly, I appreciate the straight forward approach of the Vet and the team. We also order specialty food through the Vet, they get it in quick at a good price. New puppy just added to the family and this will be his Vet too. This was the fourth Vet we tried after moving to Vancouver and after two ok experiences and one poor one, this is who we trust with our furry family members.
Dr.Sidhu is absolutely great!!! He and his staff took care of our little baby, Daya. She got her shots and was spayed. The hospital is super clean and organized. Whenever I needed them, they helped me out. Dr. Shidu and his staff are very careful and respectful. We truly trust him and we highly recommend him. I'm really happy to live close by and even if I didn't, I would travel all the way, just so Daya could have the best treatment. 10/10. Excellent service.
(Translated) Although the hospital has only one doctor in the city, dr sidhu cat ligation surgery is very professional and very reasonable! (Original) 雖然醫院只有一個醫生 在市區裡 dr sidhu 貓咪結紮手術非常專業價格也非常合理!
Bad bad I never will go back lm sure pup buddy will love me even more over priced
I buy my cat food there, Staff and Veterinarian have always been so friendly and helpful when we go there.
Excellent service from Dr P Sidhu and his team!!! Our Tiger is in good hands!! ????????❤
Well, considering my brother took his dog to the vet here for a vaccine, they then told him the dog needed dental work and their unprofessional, untrained staff ended up killing the baby during the dental work. I 100% would urge anyone to stay FAR AWAY from this "vet clinic" if you love your companion animal, do them a favor and find another clinic
If you come into this facility and you wish to have a detailed discussion about your pets health, you will be disappointed. My dog was ill, and had couple of issues that needed attention. Coming in, I was interviewed by one of the young women at the front desk at length about all of the details of why I wanted to visit. I asked if she was the Vet and she said no. She did not identify herself as a veterinary assistant. She informed me the Vet would like to know all of these details before he saw my dog. Before the Vet was even involved, she started to try to upsell me on the medicated food that Veterinary offices always have. When the Vet came to examine my dog, he didn't read any of the notes at all and I was forced to explain myself all over again. This is extremely frustrating when your dog is not well and nervous to be at an unfamiliar place. When going into the details of the past week of what had been going on with my two dogs, getting ill back and forth, he very clearly could not follow the details of what I was talking about. The young lady accompanied us into the examination room and was over-talking the Vet and giving out suggestions which he would then counter. When it was time to pay, prior to any tests being performed, the Vet added up the invoice with pen and paper, incorrectly. I was then obligated to tally the invoice myself and give him the number to plug into the debit machine. At $450, I was offered a few tests and an IV to give antibiotics. I had carefully gone through what was the original invoice and declined at least another $82 worth of medication that was completely unnecessary. The antibiotics and IV were probably a help, but my dog came back with a bruised forearm from them missing the vein a few times. It is a very good thing they had told me to come back in a few hours, if I had witnessed them stabbing my dog ineffectually and pain being added to her when she was sick, after paying $450 for the privilege, I would have lost my mind. When I picked her up, the Vet told me that 'her forearm was swollen and I shouldn't worry about it'. The tests all came back negative, and I basically expected that. I do not mind the fact that I essentially massively overpaid for some antibiotics. If my dog feels better, which she does, I can accept that. However, if you want a non-frustrating experience of competent professionals, this is not the place to come. Beware of Vet.
My dog has been seeing Dr. Sidhu for almost 4 years and I highly recommend him! Every decision/ recommendation he proposed was for the best interest of my dog. No hidden cost, very honest with pricing up front, only recommend but never once sell or pressure me to add a product/ service. There are staff turnovers from time to time but so far all of them I met are true animal lovers. Totally worth an our drive from home to see a vet who I can trust!
Highly recommend this place. Our fur baby is well taken care of any time we drop by or call in for questions ☺
Dr. Sidhu loves cats, he has cats himself and takes the utmost of care for mine. He did a full exam and full vax. Sheik was happy going in and out no probs
Recommended! They host my cat for second week, and that do a good job, I can visit him every day and his place is always clean and fresh food and water inside. Doctor is amazing person and specialist. Highly recommended.
Nice
Always so sweet and kind to Carly and can always tell they genuinely care about our furbabies. ❤️
WARNING! Do not take your pet to the Central Park Animal Hospital to be put down. Cold, insensitive, and horrible experience. I took my cat of nearly 17 years there on January 29. All I wanted was to be there by his side for the FULL experience to comfort him. I wanted him to be surrounded with the people that have loved him his entire life for those last moments of consciousness. Instead, I was told that I could not be there for the anesthesia but only for the final needle that ends his life. I was hurt and confused by this, as well as not provided with a reason, but I reluctantly agreed because I assumed this was standard process and was also very distraught. I had to stay in a separate room as they took him away. I heard him scream and cry very loud on and off for 15-20 seconds and then had to wait over 10 minutes before I was able to come see him laying unconscious. At this point, I was dizzy and sick to my stomach after the noises I heard and knowing that I wasn’t able to be there with him that I could not hold it together to stay for the final needle. I was also given a strict time limit of 2 minutes to say my goodbyes. As I was shaking, crying, and trying to get my credit card out to pay the bill, Dr. Sidhu was walking around with the needle in his hand asking if he can do it already as if I was holding up his day. I have spoken with many people who have gone through this experience and called multiple vets and I can confirm THIS IS NOT NORMAL. You are allowed to be with your pet for the full experience. It should have been me comforting him and right there by his side for his final moments of consciousness instead of being man handled by 3 strangers and terrified. They stole that moment and experience from me and my cat did not deserve this either after almost 17 years together. I can’t help but wonder were they even gentle with him while they were holding him down and putting the needle in? Yes, he was in pain at the end but I have never heard him make noises like that in his life. There are certain areas that are sensitive for him and I should have been there to help hold him or at least explain this to the vet and staff. This was not just an operation. It was ending his life! I first called and then 1 week later showed up in person to request the reason why things were handled like this for my own closure but they would not tell me why. The vet did not even have the decency to phone me back to explain the reason behind it. On top of that, the receptionist gave me attitude when I expressed my pain and concern from the experience. All I wanted was the reason so that I could try to put this experience behind me. All the vet is concerned about is your money and does not respect owners wishes or even provide rationale for his decisions. This experience has made grieving the loss of my beloved cat so much more painful. The owners face should be the last one a pet sees for this gut wrenching experience. I am disgusted with the Central Park Animal Hospital. Very shady place!
Im happy with this clinic, our dog had a really bad ear infection, and they were very understanding of us and our dog who was obviously not behaving well due to being in pain. They r open on sundays and later in the day during the week which works great with our schedule. I will keep coming bach with gor our pets medical needs :)
Awful awful experience and wasted over $600. We brought in a kitten who was vomiting a lot so Dr. Sidhu suggested we do an X-ray ($175) of her stomach. He told me the image looked abnormal but he can't read it himself because he's not a specialist. He said we should sent it to a radiologist ($190) to look at it. An hour later, the radiologist reported that everything was normal. He then had my kitten do a blood test and kept her there for a few hours for monitoring and IV. The blood test also came back with nothing. At the end of the day he couldn't find anything wrong with my kitten, couldn't tell me why she was vomiting, and just told me to bring her back in the next morning. I ended up spending over $600 and the entire day at the vet for him to tell me absolutely nothing at all. They prey on people who love and care a lot about their pets and have them spend hundreds of dollars for no reason at all. Dr. Sidhu was also very rough with my small kitten when handling her. Please don't bring your pets here if you care about them.
Thank you so very much for safely and securely spaying my dear kitten “Mikan”. I have been using the services of Central Park Animal Hospital continuously for over 6 months and I have honestly only good things to say. Many of their vets have seen my kitten and conducted multiple Check ups on her including vaccines, booster shots and various treatments and they have all done an great job. Their staff is professional and courteous and certainly have a good sense of customer service. Very likable and trustworthy. You’ve definitely earned my trust as a lifelong customer and I will for sure spread the good words about you ! Thank you for continuing to Care for My kitten Mikan! I am sure she loves you too :)
Long story short, this vet tried to convince me that my puppy needed an extra round of unnecessary shots. I took my almost 12 week old puppy in to get his first round of booster shots. It was COVID so I couldn’t go in. He came out looking happy and the vet techs all loved him. Excellent. That night he was in pain and woke up crying a number of times. I had heard that puppy shots could hurt for a day or two, so wasn’t too worried. When I went back for the second (and final) round of boosters, I asked which leg he was shot in because he was in a lot of pain last time. The vet tech told me that he shouldn’t be in any pain this time, but that last time he was in a little more pain on the table. Why was I not told that at the time? To add to that, I asked when I would be safe to take him to the dog park, and was told I’d have to come back and get another ($240) set of vaccines because “he was too young the first time”. This did not sit well with me. After consulting with multiple other vets and being told I’ve done the right thing, I can deduce that this clinic is only out to gouge money and put animals at risk. I even called again after the appointment to make sure that I had heard right - no one else is told to get a fourth round of shots, so why was I being told to? The vet continued on with his story and honestly made me feel bad for even wanting to take the “risk” of not having a fourth round. To be clear, his first round of shots was done at 7 weeks, which is well within the normal suggested window. The vet even said at one point on the phone that after 16 weeks he would be fine. We counted out how many weeks he was (15.5) and he STILL stuck to his original story. Just shady. I will not be coming back to this vet again. For trying to get a little bit more money out of me for another round of shots, you've now missed out on any of my future business. The vet techs are lovely, but are obviously part of the lie. I wish I’d looked at these reviews closer before taking my puppy here because I’m clearly not the only one that has been treated this way. Horrific.
Staffs are helpful, friendly.
We brought in our cat that wasn't feeling well and Dr. Sidhu tried to tell us that he needed a bunch of injections and blood work and tried charging us for over $500 of unnecessary work and tests but couldn't explain why. It was pretty suspicious when clear answers weren't given and I figured it was a slow week and they were trying to charge us extra for unnecessary treatment. Even the girls that were working there looked uncomfortable when all I wanted was a clear answer to why all these tests and injections needed to be done. When I said that I was going to get a second opinion before proceeding, he quickly started saying "Ok ok how about we don't do these injections but we just do the tests?" This made it even more suspicious and clearly our cat didn't need any of those injections in the first place! I'm appalled that a Dr. would take advantage of people that are concerned for their pets but don't know why they're feeling sick. We took our cat to another vet recommended to us by a friend who did a free check up and sent us home as it was nothing serious and the next day he was totally fine again, which further proves that this clinic was trying to scam us. The Dr. also seemed to be scared or didn't like cats from the way he was handling him. When we were leaving, they even asked me to go and get my cat from the room in the back because they were too scared to pick him up. Long story short, avoid this vet and I would not recommend anybody to this shady clinic!
Dr. Sidhu is very professional and thorough. He helped resolve my dogs E. Coli! We were dealing with a different vet for about 4 months before switching over to Central Park animal hospital and after 5 long months my dogs culture test came back with no E.Colo. Dr Sidhu is very knowledgeable! Definitely recommend! Thank you Dr Sidhu and your staff for helping Kora :)
Dr. Sidhu and his staff are wonderful. My Shiba was not doing so well and thanks to the team at Central Park animal hospital my dog has been feeling a lot better. Dr. Sidhu always recommends what is most needed for the treatment in priority and provides quotes on every procedure that needs to be done in the current moment. He genuinely cares for your pet as if they are his own. You can tell through his interaction with his staff that his clinic provides a safe environment for your pet. Also, when my dog needed a procedure done, even though their day was fully booked with appointments, Dr. Sidhu took in my dog for treatment right away because it was needed as soon as possible. He also took the time to follow-up daily on how my dog was doing noting any changes in behaviours and recommended what the next step would be.
(Translated) Cheap and good service. (Original) 又便宜又服务好。
The staff are all so amazing here! My dog Kona actually loves coming to the vet because of them! Whenever we park she knows we're at the vet and will run towards the door. Pudding the office cat is also full of sass and brings the office to life.
Hey don’t hesitate, the best place to go near Joyce and Metrotown! They were adorable with my dog and careful! Reasonable prices and clear communication!
Our puppy went there for cherry eye surgery. We noticed about a week later his eye was getting cloudy and the affected area was still red and inflamed, and he was getting aggressive when being given his eye drops. When we made an appointment to see what was happening, we were told he was healing fine and the cloudiness was just irritation from his fur and it would clear up in time from the eye drops. We're currently at the animal emergency being told he has an ulcer. Response: We did get his hair trimmed, and we would have prior to his surgery had the vet told us prior that it could have caused an ulcer.
I brought a Pug into this Veterinarian and I was quickly taken in and, taken care of a case of kennel cough. The price of the medication was reasonable, I will be back in for shots, licence updates. The staff is very polite, professional.
The doctor only care about is money! He told me the examination + injection is 120 dollar. After I brought my cats there and finished everything. He told me the price is 150! The examination is only 30 secs to check the heartbeat that’s it ! He doesn’t like cats! During the examination, he even doesn’t touch my cats. He asked the assistant to hold them. Do not waste your money here!
One of my cat had difficulty to give birth yesterday. Doctor Sidhu and all of the assistants try their best to help her till very late. Not like other "money-oriented" vet, they are very patient and heartwarming. There were two kittens almost past away after the birth, but none of them gave up, finally, mother and babies are safe. Thanks a lot! Really appreciate all of your work! :)
the staff at central park animal hospital are amazing... highly recommended ????????
Dr. Sidhu, Molly, Vanessa and the whole team at Central Park Animal Hospital are incredible. The care, attention and kindness they show my two cats, Fred and Cookbook, is amazing. I always know that my little fur babies are in the best hands when they are there. Dr. Sidhu and the team have treated my cats for an eye infection, urinary tract infection (blocked bladder), general check ups, shots, spaying, as well as day boarding when I needed the cats in day care. Myself and the cats are always greeted with enthusiasm and I always look forward to seeing the team. I won't go to another vet, and can't recommend Central Park Animal Hospital enough!
I was extremely unhappy with how Dr. Sidhu didn't bother to actually explain anything when I brought my brand new puppy in because she wasn't eating. He printed a quote, slapped it down in front of me and told me to decide whether I wanted to pay for bloodwork. The vet tech had to ask me if I wanted to ask the vet anything, and when I asked for clarification he vaguely explained a bit more about what the tests were, but not why they had to be done other than "your dog is sick" and did not provide any other option. It really wasn't clear and I shouldn't have had to ask in the first place. I won't ever be taking my puppy here again.
Do your dog a favour and take him to this vet, they have great service and an amazing staff.
My experience with Central Park Animal Hospital has been nothing but positive. Their level of professionalism is impeccable.
The entire staff is great... except for Dr. Sidhu. Came to this center a day after adopting a cat. As a first time pet owner, I had a lot of questions. However, Dr. Sidhu came in, took a look at the medical history, dictated he would give a bunch of shots, and immediately left to get them without confirming with me and explaining what they were for. Luckily, the help staff was there to explain things, but once Dr. Sidhu came back he kept talking over his staff to simply get his part done... which was to read what was on the sides of the boxes of products he was forcing on my cat. Lastly, the staff said they would send me some papers another day... cause Dr. Sidhu already left without signing them. Help staff is great, but most important is the vet's expertise. What I experienced was someone pushing products without explanation, no effort to get to know the clients (pet and owner), and negligence to fulfill his job to the end.
Wonderful and very helpful assistants Dr.Brar was very informative, caring and explained very well Glad that my pet has this great clinic to take care of him
Vet is amazing, I used to work there and he was always so good with patients and I still take my 3 dogs and always takes care of all 3 of my babies
Just took my newly adopted puppy there after she got kennel cough and pneumonia. Everyone was so caring and made sure she was well looked after. She is back at home now and feeling much better
If there is a zero star option to this commonts, I will do it. Not suggest this animal hospital. The doctor never touch my dog during the exam, never tell me how much the exam cause before he did the exam. I think I am the vet not the pet's owner during the examination. They asked me to apply the dye on my dog then they can see the result, I don't think that is my responsibility to do that in the hospital. The vet didn't help me with my dog then suddenly give me the bill then want me to pay the bill without any diagnosis or explain anything about what happen to my dog. Highly not suggest this animal hospital. Will not come back again. Also by the way, they don't do social distance in the hospital.
Please don't treat me like a dump and rich people, why you guys try to charge me more than$600 first, And then tell me that actually only one out of ten things is neccessary, while I'm leaving the shop. Thank you for weighting my dog for $35 examination fee. Good sales team.
too expensive and doing nothing for my pet.
Had a great experience - Hailey & Melanie are so sweet and handled my dog really well! Many thanks to them and the doctor!
My dog developed an absessed tooth. I phoned Central Park Hospital at 11:00 am and they took me in at 1:00 pm. They identified the issue and operated on him that afternoon. I picked him at 6:00 pm with the necessary meds and was provided very clear instructions on caring for my dog. This is my third time to bring a dog to Dr. Sidhu and the third time I am super happy. Great services and great prices. I will continue to work with this animal hospital and recommend it to everyone.
I brought my dog Gucci here after my regular family vet said that she needed emergency surgery after blood tests and X-rays came back saying that she had Pyometra. On top of that she had two large benign tumours that had decayed quickly over the last week. Our family vet only had a surgery date available in two weeks, and recommended that we don’t wait. So we were scrambling to find another place that could do the surgery sooner. We called a handful of other vets, and Dr. Sidhu was the only one that was willing to see her right away (within the hour that we called!!). After we came in for the visit , they felt the urgency and was willing to do the surgery for us the very next morning. My dog is 13 years old and has never had a surgery before so needless to say we were extremely worried but Dr. Sidhu and his team were extremely professional and we felt we could fully trust them. We are so glad we made this decision because my dog is now home and is on her way to a speedy recovery !! I cannot thank and recommend Dr.Sidhu and his team enough as they were all extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and professional. Dr. Sidhu and team - Thank you for your love and care for our beloved pets !
Good overall, but they try to over sales too much … when I already said I don’t need these service
Olive the Cat & I are happy with the Compassion & Professionalism of the Vet Team today upon our visit to C.P.A.H. Before proceeding they would allow a settling in period for Olive while thoroughly discussing/reviewing planned assessments & implementations & pricing prior to proceeding. Molly seemed to genuinely like her Vet job which helped Olive feel relaxed in the clinic thereby becoming a model patient. Molly also acted as Olive's advocate, liaison & my resource person which helped for an overall pleasant experience. The one thing that would have made the visit more complete is if they were equipped with an instrument for testing intra-ocular pressure. Since both Olive & I are Seniors we don't like running around too much especially during Covid 19. Thank you for the Senior discount & we will visit your clinic again soon after the Covid crisis is over.
Don’t take your pet to this place! He gave my pup unnecessary shots, put him under IV, which was absolutely unnecessary, to charge me a couple of hundreds! This happened a few month ago and I still can’t forgive myself to make my dog go through such misery! I went to Yaletown Pet Hospital after a few days, as his symptoms returned, and they assured me that none of the tests nor the IV was necessary! After 6-7 month I still can’t forget my dogs bruises on his neck and hand because of the IV! I was the parent and I am at fault as well to take him to such a horrible place! I will try to find all the invoices and test sheets, take a picture and share it with you guys!
I had to take my little Boston in on Friday for what turned to be emergency surgery. She swallowed this heavy duty rubber piece that got chewed off a toy off a toy. It got lodged in her colon and had to be surgically removed. This place was amazing and charged way less for what others would have and his vet techs came in on their own time during the night to stay and monitor her. Every single person who works here gets 5 stars. Highly HIGHLY recommend!
I have been a client here for the past 4 years. I can’t say enough, the doctor and the assistants have always been so friendly, and taken special care of my GG. Unfortunately after 15 wonderful years my GG passed away in my arms at home. I called in at short notice and the doctor and her assistants took me in right away so that I can give a proper goodbye to my sweet bud. Reliability and respect, thank you so much, I am forever grateful to have had so many extra years with my GG.
Clean and friendly. Can usually get an appointment reasonably fast. I take all my fur babies there. They also have a great selection of vet line foods.
Do your dog a favour and don’t bring it here. Very bad experience
My cat Pancakes got sick and Central Park was the only place we could get her an appointment on short notice. She is a rescue with trauma and very scared/anxious so it is always difficult taking her to the vet. On top of that I have anxiety myself and was very emotional seeing her sick. The vet techs especially were very sweet and caring and even though we were hard to deal with they really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Thank you so much❤
We called this vet to see if they could see us asap as my cat was in distress. They could and were informative about their fees, up front. The vet and her assistant were very sympathic when it was determined our cat was beyond help. They allowed us private time with him. They gave the info about the end of life services quietly, not in our face. We highly recommend this Animal Hospital.
Super staff but a little.expensive
When my dog tore out a toenail, Dr. Sidhu and his team stayed open an extra hour to make sure that the wound was cleaned and bandaged. They were also attentive to additional scrapes and did my best to make her calm and comfortable. Plus, I loved the fact that they allowed me into the surgery area to view and understand what they were doing. Excellent care and wonderfully responsive! Thank you Central Park Vet team!
The doctor only tried to sell vaccines and tried to deal with me. Only explained what bad things could happen if dog doesnt take vaccines. he does not care anything about pet. Poor communication skills, not even English. He was suppose to explain common symptom or side effect after taking vaccine. I had to google to find out why my dog is so quite and tired. Do not take any exam here. He touched dog's ribs and said he is physically fine.
Vet gave our dog unnecessary shots
Hi, I got a dog recently and went here to do all the check up, vaccines and everything needed for the dog. The staff at the clinic are just awesome, especially Alwin and Molly. Molly took a lot of time to teach my son a lot of things about dogs and explain different things about my dog's behaviour. My kids later on told me that Molly is like Fluttershy (if you have seen my little pony you know what I am talking about!). Fluttershy is the pony that has magic with animals and they love her.. that's Molly. Dr. Sidhu was very nice in explaing what we needed to do for the dog, how to care for him, etc. They are an amazing group of people. I am really glad Alfie was in good hands with these team!
The receptionist prefer to talk with the costumers that give the priority to the animalss.
I have been visiting this clinic since adopting my puppy about a year ago. I have always had a great experience and the team has been nothing but kind and friendly towards me :). I recall shopping around for neutering services when we initially became clients here and we could not find better prices or services in the city. We just had a recent appointment for vaccinations and dental work which went great! Best of all, the team is great with Oscar.
UPDATE: WARNING! I am a vet tech and dog rescue worker of 10 plus years. My partner took our dog here for an update on her rabies vaccine. Instead she got emergency pain meds and scheduled dental work the next business day for tooth extractions....she went in for dental work and died after she was carelessly flipped over for an ear cleaning before she had finished coming out of anesthesia...they also performed her surgery with her harness on and it impeded in the efforts to collect her vitals and figure out what was happening to her as she painfully died choking for five minutes ... she died at the hands of incompetent workers. The people working here will use your assumed lack of veterinary education against you and lie to push whatever agenda is needed to absolve themselves of accountability and protect the practice. There is nothing they can say to change our opinions, they were caught lying too many times and didn’t have the decency to respect us or the being they killed. When we picked up HER ashes the vet techs got upset that we were upset they misgendered her as a he and that they continuously kept us misinformed and prolonged our trauma. As a former vet tech I understand the job comes with trauma and I hope your employer has provided you with access to the necessary care to deal with those traumas and return to work able minded and ready to handle whatever comes next . SHE was not a he and maybe little things like this are an indication of the lack of detail going into the care or lack there of going on at this facility. I don’t believe the people working here currently are able to handle these situations healthily, and it’s sounds like the employees who were issuing great care at this facility have moved on to other practices according to other reviews. Do not trust this practice. UPDATE: WARNING It's obvious to us we are being silenced and rather than reach out to us, this clinic is denying we were ever seen by them. It seems they can achieve this by filing their paper work under another vet DR. SRAN, who I can attest I have never met and did not render services to my pet. DOUBLE check all of your pets paperwork from this clinic! Check the photo below for reference * RED FLAG: Dr. Sidhu had his veterinary license cancelled in the state of California. *see photo for reference Dr. Sidhu and Dr. Brar have no specializations and are not qualified to deliver the services they are advertising. *see photos for reference Consider using the CVBC to search for specialists as needed *see photos for reference. Dr.Sidhu is an excellent doctor and staff Molly, Vanessa are super nice! We feel lucky to have found this place
Friendly stuff, and nice doctor. Extra treatments which cost money will be discussed before the operation. Fair price for body examination.
Such amazing staff. Very greatful to have found this place. Treated our cat with such love and were so great. Kept us up to date on what was going on with her and wrote us a step by step reminder of her meds. Staff are so great. Our baby is all healthy now.
We have had a great experience visiting Dr. Sidhu and Central Park Animal Hospital over the past 6 months. We recently adopted a new puppy and the entire team has been has been exceptional in recommending best care for our puppy, from vaccinations to routine care. After shopping around the Vancouver/Burnaby area, we found that this clinic offered the best prices for what we were looking for. Thank you so much for the great care that provide on every visit!
Great experience and thoroughly recommended. I have been taking my cats there for several years and always receive great service for a reasonable price.
If you have a dog and you're looking for a vet, DO NOT GO THIS VET BECAUSE HE IS SCARED OF DOGS! I noticed my dog limping around 9pm and called the vet to see if I could bring her in, the vet said come on in so we were there within half an hour. Throughout the examination, he constantly asked if my dog bites and suggested using a muzzle. He had attended to my dog twice before this and my dog has never bitten him! I held my dog's face to my body and reassured him that if she were to bite anyone, it would be me since I had my face next to hers. Shortly after, he diagnosed her injury as soft tissue damage, gave her a shot for the pain and prescribed painkillers. Four days later, my dog still hasn't improved and I've noticed increased swelling between the toes of her paws. I decided to call to follow-up with the vet, whose first response after checking her file was "I couldn't put a muzzle on her so I couldn't examine her". Needless to say, I got upset and reminded him of the events mentioned above. His response was "you came at a bad time, I didn't have my assistant", which prompted me to remind him that I called him prior to coming and he said "come on over". As a result of his fear of being bitten by dogs, he didn't diagnose my dog, so my child has suffered and her situation worsened. I am sharing this because no parent/owner should have to go through what I just went through. Find a real vet whose primary concern is not being bitten by dogs but instead, will genuinely care and attend to your dog.
I didn’t realize they just wanna steal money. My cat lives TOTALLY ALONE and INDOOR. First off, the assistant asked me simple question - is she normal? They call it “exam”. Why would I come if that exam can be done by myself visually?? Where is the vet? Also, they are not professional, cuz they gave her vaccines that are applied to a multi-cat environment. It’s not necessary to get it annually when cat gets mature. My cat returned home with really bad side effects. I wish I could read reviews before I go there…
Sorry, I meant to leave a 5 star rating. The doctor was very kind when handling our dog, we used to go here but unfortunately we moved.
I’ve visiting this clinic since I moved to Burnaby. They are really great, fair prices and amazing staff. Yesterday they gave all support that I needed to be able to get a flight with my dog(health certificate, CFIA form…), they did more than they supposed to do, thank you! I really recommend this places!!!
I had a terribly disappointing experience with another Vancouver vet and after spending $1800 my sweet cat Stormie was still sick and throwing up. Central Park let me come in immediately. The staff were amazing and so kind. They checked her over, gave her fluids and force fed her. Today, the next day, she is perky, very much her old self and full of cuddles. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you for easing my fears and helping Stormie recover ❤️
I have been a client for the past 4 and a half years and have been very happy with the services provided by Dr Sidhu and the team at this clinic. We are well taken care of at every appointment and all the staff are so kind and caring. Thank you again for your kindness and compassion towards us
They took my dog in fast and gave him plenty of fluids for his pancreatitis. He made a huge jump in recovery the next day. I'm very thankful!
I recently switched over to Central park animal hospital from my long-time clinic in Vancouver during the pandemic, due to better hours, as my schedule is often unpredictable. I am quite happy with the move. Dr. Sidhu has been very helpful in recommending care for Poppy. I've noticed that the prices have been much better compared to what we were paying previously. It's always a pleasure to see Molly and the rest of the staff when we come in!
Visited this amazing clinic after a recommendation from a friend and could not be happier! Our little Benny needed urgent care when he wasn't feeling so well last month and the entire team was so great in helping. They kept me updated throughout the day and when I went to pick him up, he was all better! Since then, we have been visiting for regular check-ups and the care that Benny has received has been fantastic. Thanks for taking such great care of Benny :)
Great.
Always there when i need them. Nice and friendly..
I am a first-time pet owner. I was looking for a clinic that would provide all of the information and care that would be needed for an unexperienced owner. After searching throughout the Vancouver and Burnaby area, I came across Central Park Animal Hospital. Based on comparing prices and services, I found that this clinic would be the most affordable place for me. After multiple clinic visits over the past few months, I can confidently say that I am glad that I chose Central Park Animal Hospital as my go-to clinic for Barry. They routinely follow-up with future dates for vaccines, dental cleanings and regular check-ups, so that I don't forget anything. The hours are great, so I can always find time around my schedule. It has been a pleasure dealing with Molly, Alwin, Dr. Sidhu and the rest of the team here.
My cat panther was not feeling well and was limping around the house. Dr. Sidhu was able to take a look at him that day. The staff there were all super sweet and helpful. The price was more than reasonable as well! Unlike many other vets this place actually cares about your animals’s well being and is not only about making money. They also have amazing hours compare to other places and have parking in the back. Thank you so much dr. Sidhu and all your staff members! I really appreciate it
Don't waste time and money there. The indian doctor is horrible, try to sell the uncessary test and injection.
I brought my first cat in just to get groomed and I had such a great experience that I permanently made the switch to this hospital for both of my cats! Thank you Dr. Sidhu and staff for being so caring and attentive!
I love this place. Everyone is very friendly. The price is affordable. My cat had spay, and everything when well. Usually you can get an appointment same day. You can park just in front of the place. I'm glad my pet is well care. Thank you

Dr.Sidhu is a very nice guy! He is very wonderful with the animals, and very kind to his customers. His prices are very reasonable and I would recommend him to anyone in the area looking for a Veterinarian for their pet. If you are looking for a new Vet Hospital this place is worth the visit!
Totally overcharged, they said “they can’t give an actual estimate” then hit me with a $400 bill for immunizations. Find another place. I hope they go out of business
Great doctor and staff. Very friendly and kind. Great place to bring your furry/non furry family members.
Dr. Sidhu is horrible and has no clue what he's doing. My dog has been recovering from his surgery for over 3 weeks now because of the careless surgery he's performed. Not to mention all the complications my dog has had (including almost bleeding to death) and the wrong antibiotic my dog was prescribed. Sidhu is hungry for a paycheque and deserves to have his license taken away. If you care about your animals DO NOT take them here! This review doesn't even deserve one star but you cant write one otherwise.
Dr didn’t know how to treat, and almost double prices than other! When you buy something he alway ask you read instructions yourself , he didn’t know how to use it!!!
I had to take my dog for what was becoming emergent, Dr. Sidhu returned my call personally, explained the diagnosis, and all the costs involved. Did xrays, gave a prescription, gave an IV, and other antibiotic shot, kept her for an hour and a half and all for around $300....on a holiday!! Rachel, the assistant was wonderful as well. A good experience all around and Lexi was on the mend immediatately!
Dr. Sidhu is very dependable and took very good care of my cat. Him and his staff communicate with me as often as needed, so there are no surprises. Him and his staff display a extraordinary compassion to their clients and patients. I always feel comfortable leaving my cat in their care. My questions are always answered and his door is always open. Thanks so much for all your help doc. :)
vettech Victoria trim my cats nails :)
I would highly recommend this clinic for everyone , as the Dr and staff was very friendly and supportive providing excellent care for my puppy. The cost was explained thoroughly which allowed me to fully be aware of why the cost was what it was. Everything was beyond satisfactory. Thankyou!
My puppy had her rabies vaccine today. She was unbothered during her shot and just enjoying her treats. The whole staff are really nice and friendly. Thank you Dr Brar and staff for accommodating Pixie ????.
Brought my friend here and she really wanted Dr. Brar for our appointement as Dr. Brar is very kind and patient with dogs. She also takes the time to address needs and concerns and checks over the dog thoroughly. Our experience was great the first time as she offered our dog a treat and let us hold her while she gave the vaccine. Recently we booked a time slot for when she was working for our next vaccine and we rushed ourselves from work so we could make that time slot. Unfortunately, we arrived on time but Dr. Brar was too busy so we had Dr. Sidhu instead. Dr. Sidhu is also capable. He is quite nervous around dogs and usually requests owners to muzzle and step out of the room while he gives the vaccines, which is fine however we prefer being able to see what happens to our animal. We had questions that we forgot to ask after being told to leave the room for our dog's vaccine. Otherwise the experience was quick and to the point. No chit chat. Also, we are happy for suggestions but we had some comment that our dog needs to go to obedience training. We already planned on doing this. Would prefer empathy, compassion and guidance vs. frustration comments about our dog. Also, our dog really wasn't that bad with the muzzle on... Not sure if the comment was warranted. Again, we did not see what our dog was like during the vaccination since we were told to wait outside. Overall, flexible hours and closeness makes this our veterinarian of choice. If you prefer someone more patient for simple things like vaccines, go with Dr. Brar. Dr. Sidhu definitely has more experience for more complicated animal health matters.
friendly, reliable and affordable service. Thank you!
Brought my dog in for a nail trim as it was getting difficult to cut her nails on my own, and hard to find clinics that she would let hold her! The staff here are so kind and patient in answering all my questions, and were able to trim all her nails without issues, especially the declaw! We had such a wonderful experience, a very great atmosphere here, highly recommend :)
