My wife and I had a horrible scare when our puppy (of 4 days) ate a piece of cotton and it got lodged in his GI tract. If it wasn't for these swift action of the staff then our puppy Greg would not be with us today! Every step of the way they thoroughly communicated with my wife and I. They even were kind enough to speak to my parents veterinary friend to collaborate and make sure our dog was getting the best care, and he undoubtably was! Above all else I truly believe the cared for my dog as if it was there own. They've got a customer for life in our dog Greg!

Words can't even describe how thankful I am to have had such a compassionate and caring clinic staff take care of the final decision for our sweet Cat. The staff and vet were extremely helpful in making decisions. They go above and beyond to help you if they can and truly know what they are doing.They allowed us to stay with him during the procedure of euthanasia and they took great care of my boy and made him look so very peaceful as he used to look when he was sleeping. Everything was immaculate. I miss my sweet boy every day but having his urn with me at home makes it a little easier - thank you so so much for everything, we truly are grateful and highly recommend them!! "

If I could give zero stars, I would, because that is what this vet deserves. Zero stars. Terrible service. It is evident to me that the woman who was seeing my puppy hates her job. The entire time she seemed annoyed and upset to be there. The only time we observed any normal, polite behaviour, was when we paid and were out the door. We had a feeling that something was wrong during the entire exam, but my senses really went off when she told me the combination food my breeder (who is one of the top in Canada for this breed) recommended was bad (Blue buffallo/Go!), and then attempted to sell me her cheap, wet, puppy food. So, after some research, we went to another vet we found great reviews on google for. Wow. Night and day difference in service. I am willing to accept dealing with someone who isn't the best "people person" if they are knowledgeable in their field and will keep my puppy healthy. However, this vet is neither knowledgable, nor pleasant. Let me just say this, I did not tell my new vet about the experience we had at this location, only provided him with the medication info - as per new puppy registration. Both the new vet and his associates were very confused as to why my puppy was prescribed the medication he was. In his own words "highly inappropriate". Take my advice, stay away from this place, unless you want to be gouged for unnecessary medication and treatment.

I just want to share an amazing experience I had with the clinic when my dog needed emergency. Dr. Alaa Aziz, gave a great example of dedication and care when it comes to his profession. I tried 3 other clinics in oakville and the only one that went into logical sequence od diagnosis was Oakville Lakeshore Animal hospital. Thank you Dr. Alaa for your kind effort and my dog is thankful for that too.

I came to Oakville Lakeshore Animal Hospital late on a Saturday (so it was great that they were open late!) as my dog needed stitches for a wound he got from another dog earlier that day. I have a large dog but he is very docile and has never showed any signs of aggression (and did not towards this vet). The vet sedated my dog WITHOUT informing me that is what he was doing (therefore without my consent) and not only was that the most expensive part of the procedure, but it was also completely unnecessary and really messed up my dog for the next 24 hours. Additionally, one of the stitches already fell out in under a day so I have to go back to my own vet to get that cared for.

Dr. Ghali was able to take an emergency appointment for my cat, on very short notice on a holiday long weekend, while the emergency clinics had 5+ hour wait times. While he was hospitalized she provided thorough and effective care, and throughout the whole process she was the absolute highest standard of responsiveness, reliability and professionalism. I have taken my 2 dogs to Dr. Aziz for over 10 years now. This is a real review not fake. My one dog has heart failure. He has been dealing with the condition for almost 3 years now and with the great care he receives from Dr. Aziz is doing very well. My other dog is blind in one eye. If not for Dr. Aziz I would have spent 3000.00 to remove the eye. I was at the specialist crying and did not know what to do, so I called Dr. Aziz and he took my call right away. He told me not to remove the eye. It has been 3 years now and she is fine and you cant even tell she is blind in one eye.Dr. Aziz is very helpful and always goes out of his way to help me to save money. He will tell me all my options even if it means a lose of money to his business. I am not sure why someone would post a review about how he has taken advantage of them. That has not been my experience at all. Dr. Aziz has always helped me to save money. I know it is hard sometimes to come up with so much money to help your pet, but he is only trying to help. You have the final say and only you know if you can afford it. I have never felt taken advantage of because he always gave me my options and asked me what I would like to do next. That's what a good vet will do. The doctor even takes in unwanted pets to clinic and takes care of them. He works long hours and is always available when I need him. I never have any problems getting appointments or talk to him on the phone. I have been to many vets and most doctors will not take your calls or rush in to the clinic when you need them.He really does care about the animals.

I can’t speak highly enough of this vet. My dog tested positive for ehrlichia about 3 weeks ago and throughout this time we’ve taken him to 5 different vets. The service at the other hospitals don’t even come close to comparison when it comes to Oakville lakeshore animal hospital. We called at 9PM and we were able to bring our dog in at 10PM. They took their time with our dog, they did not rush anything at all and took extra time to run tests and explain everything to us in as much detail as possible. They even stayed open late for us. It’s been really hard to find a good vet that will dedicate time to us especially during this lockdown, usually we just have to wait in our car, collect pills and hope for the best. At Oakville animal hospital my boyfriend and I, and our dog were given adequate time, attention and explanations and I can’t thank them enough. We came here for an emergency but will be using this location as our regular vet from now on.

I just returned from this clinic. The door was unlocked and I was greeted by a small growly dog who proceeded to poo on the floor! I called out several times but no one seemed to be there. I called the number on the window and the lady Answered, Hello? But said there is someone there I think. Eventually (20 minutes later) a teenager came out apologizing. He looked about 15 years old. He called a vet in Mississauga who said it would be 30 minutes or longer For someone to get there. The cost would be $350 plus tax. I left without staying for the appointment. The vet never spoke to me. It was the worst, most unprofessional experience I have ever had. They are trying to save money by having a child man the phones and he was sleeping in the back. I would never trust their skills based on this experience. I give it a ZERO STAR rating but it wouldn't compute so I had to put 1 star.....Terrible!

Dr. Gahli saved my dogs life. She took us in to a 9:30 pm appointment when both the emergency hospitals in the area had an 8-12 wait. After X-rays she determined he was extremely grave and called the emergency herself and insisted repeatedly he be fast tracked and seen. Her insistence got him the life saving emergency surgery he needed to make it. Kind and warm and so compassionate. She followed up with us for many days and told us she was praying for our puppers. Cannot recommend DR. GAHLI higher!!

I brought my dog here a few months ago due to a cut on his paw. The vet brought us back and asked us to hold down my dog while he tried to glue his cut together. The vet told us he needed to cut something so he could close it. He then cut my dogs paw without any numbing... my dog was crying in pain. A few days later we took my dog to his actual vet and they told us that the vet at this animal hospital ended up cutting his tendons adding to the damage. My dogs paw has still not fully healed due to this vet. I would never recommend someone bringing their animal here. My dog is now traumatized from the vet after this visit. Plus the bill at the end was expensive for the damage he caused.

I called because my cat was having a stroke or a heart attack, he couldn't move his back legs and I called to bring him in and the lady REFUSED him! Because they were at "capacity". My cat was dying and they told me to go somewhere else while I was in a panic! My cat past that day at only 6. Highly would not recommend them if they can't accept an emergency.

Excellent Care From Excellent Clinic. Dr-Aziz is very professional, works long hours ( so we can take our cat there after work between 8 pm to 10 pm) and on Sundays as well. Clinic is new and neat clean. Prices are not the lowest, but acceptable, I guess you have to pay for the good service. Thank you Dr-Aziz for everything.

When my 13 year old cat, Chai, needed urgent care on a Sunday, I was calling around town to find an open animal hospital. I found the Oakville Lakeshore Animal Hospital and Dr. Ghali said, "I'll see you in 30 minutes". Dr. Ghali did a thorough examination and began promptly administering everything that Chai needed. He spend 3 days at the hospital. Dr. Ghali was absolutely fabulous! So informative, professional, compassionate and concerned about the health of my cat, and me! My poor cat was so sick and Dr. Ghali saved his life. This did not happen simply in those 3 days but in an additional few weeks. I would highly recommend Dr. Ghali and the Oakville Lakeshore Animal Hospital. I had a vet closer to my home, but I am switching. Not that my original vet was not amazing, but I have been so incredibly impressed with Dr. Ghali and the care she provided Chai.

We called the emergency number because our westie got into a Lindt 60% cocoa dark chocolate and we didn't know what to do. Dr Ghali answered our call and she was very calm and professional. I called with an emergency after my puppy picked up a toad and started frothing at the mouth. I was terrified and called in a panic- the vet on call told me my dog had been poisoned and I needed to come immediately to induce vomiting. I rinsed his mouth out and put him in the car immediately, but while driving, he seemed totally fine so I called another hospital for a 2nd opinion and they told me he would likely be fine and that inducement was only necessary if he had an allergic reaction (diarrhea, vomiting, swelling etc.). The original vet never told me about this, and preyed on the panic of a new dog owner to make money- not to mention, was willing to put tremendous stress (induced vomiting) on a 5 month old puppy unnecessarily .

Our dog Molly jumped off the couch and seemed to hurt herself. We came to the clinic at night worried. Molly seemed to be fine (and actually quite excited) when we arrived. The doctor gave her a brief examination and reassured us she probably just sprained her ankle and sent us home without any charges. Thank you doctor!

The people who work in this hospital are simply amazing! I had an emergency - I got a 3-month-old savannah kitten from Spots on the Lake Cattery in Niagara Falls. He started having difficulties breathing and they had 2 excellent and compassionate veterinarians rushing to help. Unfortunately, the kitten died on his way to the facility and nothing could be done. Doctors in the clinic were very supportive and understanding and spent a good hour free of charge explaining the necroscopy findings to me. They were also kind enough to send their condolences letter several days later, the courtesy that I've never received from the breeder. I saw how much they love animals and how compassionate and professional they are. Wish I took my kitten to them right after picking him up from the breeder. Thank you so much Dr.Ghali and Dr.Aziz! All my family is still mourning our loss, but whenever we decide to have another pet we will definitely take them to you!

Dr. Amani was incredibly patient, answering all of the questions I had as the proud new owner of a sheltie puppy :) I even received a really nice welcome pack with a book on dog care and some treats for Shelby, I would definitely recommend this clinic!

I wish to thank both Dr. Aziz and Dr. Ghaly for their compassionate care and advice for our beloved family pet, a Syrian Hamster. Dr. Aziz saw us at a late evening urgent appointment and provided a reasonable thoughtful assessment, balancing our hamster's older age, and provided treatment, without recommending excessive examination or investigation. The treatment worked, but he also gave me a good idea of what outcomes I could expect. Dr. Ghaly saw us again, on a same day basis, when our hamster turned for the worse, and provided compassion in re-assessing our hamster, and proceeding with euthanasia. Me and my family are thankful to this clinic for providing such thoughtful and humane care for our hamster.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Alaa Aziz. The response from the emergency service was prompt. We had only had our puppy for 3 weeks and he had a fluke accident. Good first impression. Called the office and left a message to make an appointment. Got a call back first thing in the morning. Office seems to be well organized and clean. Dr. Ghali is very nice, knowledgeable and took the time to explain any concerns we had about our new puppy. First visit was quick. Dr. Ghali was very gentle when examining our new puppy. She took the time to completely check the puppy's current state of health. We had some concerns with the next set of shots; Dr. Ghali took the time to explained the various shots required going forward. Cost of the first visit seemed reasonable for the service provided

Excellent Vets… I hope no one has to ever be in an emergency situation with their pet but if you are…this is definitely the place to go. The quick response and strong knowledge of Dr. Aziz saved my dog life and I’m so grateful for his work. My dog went to this clinic almost dead after losing lots of blood from deep cut wound on the leg. The vets here within less than half hour did control to the bleeding, sedated the dog, gave IV fluids, took radiography and prepared for immediate surgery. Next day I received my dog active and walking on the leg normally, looks like he did not make any surgery on the leg. The hospital staff was amazing!!! I would give them 100 stars if I could
