The staff are very friendly and the vet is great with my cats. I found a sick abandoned 6w old kitten who needed medication but I was broke until pay day the next week and they let me bring her in and pay when I could, no problem. I really think she would have died if she waited that long to be treated. They actually care about your animals here, it's more than just a job.

I called multiple clinics in Waterdown/Burlington and this clinic has the best rates by far. I took fecal samples in and they were checked within the hour and I was able to weigh my kittens at home and pick up medication the next day! Amazing! Everyone is very laid back, confident and knowledgeable, makes for a VERY relaxing experience. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Dr. Ashok has a very friendly approach. I brought my cat in because he E-Coli Bacteria after rescuing him as a drop off on a farm. Ashok quickly took results then explained everything to me even while I was a complete sobbing mess and assured me my cat would be okay! He was professional and helpful!! Worst vet I have ever been to. Brought my rabbit in as he was sick, and they told me to feed him meds by syringe for 5 days. They proceeded to check nothing else on my bunny and sent me home. My rabbit is now in critical condition at the Guelph vet, and may not recover. Thanks new street vet!

Had an appointment by phone with this "Hospital". When I got there was calling in - as i was asked because of covid - no answer. Waited 20 minutes at the door, maybe the nurse, who just left - I seen her while i was finding parking spot - might come back. People told me also - oh she just stepped out. Its all god i can wait, so did. After 20 min since no-one picked up the phone or came back to work, i decided to leave. I called them from home and I was told they have to close the door because covid. I got that anyway , common.. so she come up with the "we got an emergency "card" . Omg I seen you leave go for shopping, why have to lie? anyhow when we established the appointment I asked specifically and we agreed on a reminder call from you on the day. that never happened either. I'm not even sure if you ever take our appointment seriously which I waited a week! Not reliable service

New Street Animal Hospital does a great job of providing care to my dog Max. They are gentle and Max feels comfortable, despite a few health issues--he is on heart medication. They are compassionate to older animals--which is important as he is a rescue. I recommend Dr. Ashok and Dr. Sandeep as well as the front desk staff

The most unprofessional and uncommunicative place I have ever been to. They decided to not do my cats spay because they didn’t have time after it was scheduled over a month in advance. The worst part is they didn’t let me know until 1130 am that day, after my cat had been there since 830 am, with no food or anything since the evening before. They were late to arrive in the morning and expected for us to rebook for another day, after taking a day off work for this procedure. Very unprofessional and very poor planning on their part. Their staff are generally rude and condescending and you cannot meet the vet until you make a stink about it, and when you finally do, they make you feel stupid for wanting to meet them. Do not go here. Would give 0 stars if I could. This is no way to treat animals.

My cat Buddy suddenly stopped eating and started to turn yellow. Dr. Ashok did research and diagnosed that it was because of stress and used a pheromone to resolve stress. Now buddy is eating again and has turned pink again. Amazing vet. Highly recommend

I am being generous with giving this place 1 star! I took my 4 month old puppy for standard vaccine boosters. The veterinarian told me my puppy "plays too rough" and that if I don't change her lifestyle a knee surgery will cost me $3000! No offering of any kind of solution or reason why my puppy would have such an issue. I was very upset and told him so, his response was to shrug and tell me to change her lifestyle. What does that mean? I took her to another veterinarian 2 days later for a second opinion as I was worried about the health of my new dog. Two veterinarians examined her and there is absolutely nothing wrong with my dog! New Street Animal Hospital stressed me out and created worries for no reason.

One star is to many!!!! Took in a dog from a family member who had passed. Dog came to us with a severe ear infection which we were told was treated the day before we got her. After a few days I took her back as she was getting worse. Vet made my concerns feel dismissed and wouldn't make take to answer any past medical questions or dietary questions as she has allergies. I was spoken down to and left with more questions then answers. One trip to our vet and the ear problem was properly diagnosed and treated. This dog was shaking the hole visit and had to be muzzled, one visit to our vet and she was happy the whole time no shaking and no muzzle even when her ears where cleaned and treated!!!!!

I have been coming to this clinic for years, I just got a new kitten that I had to take in last week because she had an eye infection. I was so worried, but they got me right in the same day. The vet was so nice and called over the phone after appointment due to covid and was so reassuring and answered all my questions thoroughly. It was such a great change from the old vet that is no longer there, and hopefully will not be back. They actually took the time to talk to me, instead of dismissing my concerns like the old vet used to do. The technicians were also super loving and professional towards myself and my kitten, to ensure safety but also care during this time. Thank you for everything!

Dr. Ashok first met my Furboy Bentley 6 weeks ago, it was the first visit to a vet in almost 12 years where Bentley did not have to be sedated because of being stressed. He is a senior cat who is very difficult to get to the vets , let alone make it through a full examination which included Blood work. Bentley's visit to the vet was due to my concern he was loosing weight, he is a senior and needed to have a full Health Check. Fast forward to today, Bentley had a very rough evening and morning, I called New Street and Dr Ashok did not hesitate to come to the phone and discuss next steps with me. He accommodated my work schedule and waited for me to get to the clinic this evening. Bentley was treated for dehydration due to the vomiting and loose bowels over the past couple of days. Dr. Ashok, was patient and he explained and walked me through everything we were doing as part of his treatment plan. The invoice I was presented with upon leaving was very reasonable. Dr. Ashok truly cares about his Fur Patients. I want to also thank his Support Staff - they are all caring and wonderful people! Thank you for helping Bentley and his humans rest better tonight.

I’ve taken my dog here for over 3+ years...they’ve recently switched to a new vet and since then I’ve had nothing but issues. No follows ups about how she’s doing, no recommendations on new antibiotics for her condition, no recommendations on new food options as she has an allergy, absolutely nothing. I’ve never been more disappointed in a vet service than I am now. DONT GO HERE.

Ashok is an incredible vet! When we got Rico, our Havanese, he did an excellent job teaching us the basics of dog training and how to keep him healthy. He took his time to understand our needs and did everything to make sure we were left happy with the results. I thought I'd give this clinic a try since it is right around the corner from me and I was unhappy with my current vet, and I'm so glad I did! The staff are very friendly, and the Dr. I saw (Dr. Ashok I think his name was) was fantastic. He explained what was wrong with my puppy in terms that I could understand and eased my concerns since I was worried she was really sick. Would highly recommend this place! Apparently they may start doing house calls too which would be super convenient.

The hours of operation and the pricing were the highlights from my personal experience. Communication was definitely one of the weakest points unfortunately. If not for this most recent experience, i would not have transferred to another vets office. We took our cat in for a glucose curve test. I was told to drop him off first thing Wednesday morning and to pick him up at close, so I booked the day off work. At the end of the day, i was told they werent ready and that they needed to keep him until Thursday. Thursday evening comes and I'm told once again that theyre not done and that they need to keep him until Friday and to call first to make sure theyre ready. After several phone calls on Friday, Im given the go ahead to pick him up only to be told that the test was inconclusive and that they wanted him back in 2 weeks for another glucose curve test. The most frustrating part of this whole experience wasnt until i got home with my cat. He had a smell about him so I figured he lost his bowels in the carrying case perhaps. But no, he was covered in old dried feces and urine. It was so bad, we had to cut chunks of fur from him to get them out. No one from the vets office said a thing about this, they said he was doing well. To be able to put him back into his carrhing case, there was literally no phhsical way they would have NOT seen, felt, and smelled this all over him. How could they treat him this way and not even say anything when i was picking him up several days late? From everyine I've spoken to and from what I've read online, a glucose curve should only be 12 hours, so 1 day. My new vets have also confirmed that the time frame is basically unheard of. At this point its clear to me that my cat was neglected in their care, and perhaps forgotten to he tested properly resulting in 1 day turning into 3 with no proper result.

Dr. Ashok is fantastic! When we took our dog to have his teeth cleaned, we were shocked to learn he needed to have so many teeth removed. However, the vet charged a small amount for the extractions and we have noticed he is much happier after the procedure. I can say this vet truly loves animals and what he did was for my dog's wellbeing. We are very lucky to have found this vet. Thank you!

I've had two of my cats fixed here and sent my cousin's dog here. Super friendly, affordable fees, and they actually make sure your pet has everything they need once they leave the clinic too. Very flexible with last minute issues and they explain what's going on so that you understand. I recommend Ashok to anyone who wants a vet who cares about their pet.
