Terrible animal hospital, if I could give them a 0 stars I would. - I took my puppy here when she broke her leg because it was the only animal hospital open at night. I am shocked and disgusted at how they treated myself and my puppy. They show little to no concern about your pet as all the doctors here are paid on commission so they would rather send you home with a $3000 bill than properly treat your pet. Luckily I took my puppy to a different animal hospital for a second opinion because something seemed wrong, and the vet was in shock at how poorly they treated my puppy. They kept her bandage on post surgery for TWICE as long as instructed by the surgeon, thankfully the new vet took the bandage off and noticed my puppy's elbow bone OUT of my puppy's skin (something that if the bandage was kept on longer for would have led to a bone infection). This was due to poor bandage application. They kept putting the bandages on to cover up her elbow, which I was never once told about. There were so many dissatisfied customers there every time i went to visit. They are disguised with their nice looking venue, don't make the mistake and bring your pet here. TERRIBLE service and TERRIBLE doctors. I would never recommend this animal hospital to anyone with any pet, I can't stress that enough.

As the founder of a cat rescue, I couldn't recommend Dr. Sharon enough. Her care, expertise, knowledge, and the love she shows each and every single one of my rescues is apparent in all that she does. She has given every bit of herself into 300+ felines I have personally taken off the streets throughout the GTA. She has expertly diagnosed and saved the lives of several critically ill rescues. Because of Dr. Sharon, we have been able to make a difference in the lives of many; both feline and human. I wouldn't take my cats/pets anywhere else.

As of this writing, according to Dr. Kennedy herself, this Burlington clinic deploys one-half of the Burlington vets currently licenced to practice in Ontario who are doing so ***privately***. In other words, the are two sole-proprietorship vets left in Burlington and Dr. Kennedy is one of them. (This made sense to me because years ago my nephew dated a girl whose Mom owned 2 or 3 vet clinics in the Burlington area. That Mom eventually sold out to VCA Canada.) As a result, her raison d'etre is not what motivates your typical corporation (vet hospital/big practice chain) but that of a caring and compassionate medical professional. Her price points are extremely reasonable. Believe me... I have cross-checked her bill line items and the lady is not in it for the money. Finally, please note this well... Dr. Kennedy was willing to come into her shoppe last Christmas Eve at no charge to care for one of my beloved animals. That just about says it all.

Dr. Sharon really cares about the animals. She is a very good vet and takes the time to answer all my questions. Her staff are friendly and helpful and most of all, my dogs are not afraid to visit there, they actually like Dr. Sharon and her staff. When I adopted/rescued my second dog Dr. Sharon provided a complimentary first examination - I thought that was very kind and generous of her. I wouldn't trust anyone else to care for my pets!

Mountainside has been my vet since i got my first dog over 2 1/2 year ago, my dog has always been in the best care with these people and they have worked greatly with myself and my dog. They are so caring and are very helpful with any questions i have/had. They are respectful and very happy to see you when you walk in the door. I will continue to bring my dog here for as long as she needs it when she needs it.

What a horrible place. I brought my cat in because of crystals in urine which left him unable to properly urinate.The only care he received at Mountainside was to feel his bladder daily. Otherwise, Dr. Sharon more or less ignored him for 7 days and seemed unconcerned by his lack of progress. His condition stayed at a plateau and then began to deteriorate until he could barely pee again. I was fed up so I went to a different (better) vet who completely changed his meds and rigorously monitored his progress. He was better in 3 days! The communication at Mountainside was non-existent, and the back rooms are filthy. I was checking in daily and told basically nothing. Dr. Sharon was always in a rush to be somewhere else and I was unclear about what meds my cat was on (if any). Most of the time she wasn't actually in the building! She leaves the place in the care of the Vet Techs who are NOT qualified to assess the situation, they really seemed like they were just making stuff up. This place is incredibly dangerous and I can't believe she hasn't had a lawsuit. What a horrible place. If you care about quality pet care, take your animals somewhere else.

Do not come here for animal care. Friends have taken three rabbits to this location to be taken care of; one died after surgery authorized by them, one was refused treatment and died a day after of a stroke, one died of an anaesthesia overdose. Veterinarians are known to leave animals in the care of vet techs even during procedures they are not authorized to do. I repeat, this place is dangerous to animals. It also charges for procedures that have not been authorized by the owners.

Wonderful clinic. Doc Sharon is awesome So glad I switched vets. Doc Sharon loves each and every furry patient. She’s patient with the owners & is extremely honest with her findings Unlike other vets who prolong situations longer than necessary and you spend more money unnecessarily sometimes When you lose a family member as I have twice now, Doc Sharon feels the sorrow along with you. My Riley loved getting the attention he got when he came thru the door Sharon was honest about the time Riley had & he passed away at home. She was upset when Boss left us as well Don’t ever sell out Sharon; too many of us rely on you for pet treatment, suggestions & your honesty!!

very friendly great service. They have gone out of the way to get my dog in when he has serious issues and go the extra step to make sure the office has no animals in the waiting room when we come because they know my dog is nervous and not good around animals. Taking those extra steps to make sure my dog is at ease are greatly appreciated and show the level of thoughtfulness and caring Dr. Sharon and the staff provide. Excellent service for the dogs I have had throughout the years and would highly recommend them. Quality caring service and very fair pricing.. You will not be overcharged at all, and I doubt your pet will receive better care anywhere. Would not take my dog anywhere else. Definatly 5 out of 5 in all departments!

Thank you to Dr. Sharon and the Mountainside staff for all the help and support during these past few days. We are not 'regulars' at Mountainside but, because our vet is away, we took our little cat there when she became very sick. Dr. Sharon saw us immediately! We appreciated the kind, efficient manner in which she checked Calli...we also appreciated her honesty. All subsequent test choices were explained to us. There was no pressure and all fees were presented up front. Our special thanks go to Melissa. We will never forget her kindness, her consideration of our feelings and her efforts to do everything possible to help our little cat...and us!! There is a lot to be said for small neighbourhood animal hospitals where one can still find that caring, personal touch. Thank you Mountainside!!!!!

Would not recommend. Terrible time management practices. Constantly running late; always 30-40 minutes behind for booked appointments even in the morning, and was told I could go somewhere else if I didn't like it. Recently did not provide proper medical care of my sick and injured dog. As such my dog got so ill over the weekend I had to consult an emergency vet hospital and even they asked why meds and proper medical equipment were not provided by the vet. I tried to get back in to see Dr. Kennedy and they would not accommodate an appointment even with me explaining how sick the dog was. Instead I found a new vet who did accommodate and they expressed the same concern over the lack of meds and medical treatment. Dr. Kennedy may be nice to the animals but terrible overall client care and customer service.

I cannot say enough good things about all the staff at the clinic including Dr. Sharon. My cat was very ill and stayed there for 10 days. Staff were in 4 times/day, including Christmas and New Years to care of her and other cats. I was able to come visit whenever someone was there. Fair pricing.

Lovely vet and vet techs that actually love animals and their jobs, which sounds strange but I have met vets that cannot stand animals. They have a few clinic cats that roam around, they are very comfortable telling your dog where to go if their sleep is being disturbed.

Great place to go, the people here are wonderful and always there to help. My cat had been suffering from a skin irritation for almost a year, I had been going somewhere else and the medication they had given just wasn't working, long story short I switched after recommendation to Sharon and my cats skin irritation cleaned up in a few days and has been gone ever since. Really recommend going here.

Dr Sharon cares deeply about her clients. She has saved our cat twice - he has a tendency to eat non food items. Both times he had to stay overnight at the hospital, once for 5 or 6 nights. She will check on the critical animals after the clinic closes in the evening to make sure they are ok, which is really reassuring. Just watching her with our pets you can tell how much she cares for them. She goes above and beyond with her treatment. When our cat had to stay overnight she would let us come to the clinic every day to see him in the back and visit. I feel very confident trusting her with my animals care - which is a first for me, in all the years I have owned animals I have never met a vet as wonderful as Dr Sharon. She is kind, caring, and very knowledgeable. Our cat has been through a lot and at this point you would never know. I firmly believe without her our cat would not be here today. We will never go anywhere else!
