Taken very good care of my cat for several years, ever since he was born.
I am so happy to find vets and techs that care care alot much about my (Family) pets. They actually listen to my questions and answer or reply without making you feel dumb for asking. THANK YOU East Plains Vet.
Great clinic. The Vet's are wonderful. All the other staff are so friendly , efficient and make us feel so at ease. Thanks
They are so caring and gentle in times of crisis with your animals. They called multiple times to get me through with my dog. They even stayed on the phone while I melted down not knowing if my dog was going to make it. They have taken my mom's dog on emergency... I love this place, and completely recommend them, for any pet including all the small animals (eg. Bunnies, Guinea Pigs etc.) What it truly means to have an animal hospital!
I have searched high and low for the best vet clinic in Burlington and finally found it at East Plains. I live on the opposite side of the city but will drive 30 mins+ for my three boys to receive care from this compassionate, valuable team! Very reasonable prices too.
Very friendly and compassionate staff
Best vet! Pet focused, they treat my pets like their own family ♥️
Mr Martin is the best!
Very caring and understanding. Have served my whole family for many years
Great with the animals under their care.
They are excellent with Whippet.
Could not ask for a better veterinary team! We've taken our dog to East Plains since she was a puppy (5 years now) & the veterinary hospital is one of our dog's favourite places to visit. The East Plains team treats our dog like part of the pack. The veterinarians, techs and staff genuinely care about their patients & always offer support to pet owners. As pet parents, we feel confident and know can count on the East Plains team. They are patient, kind, thoughtful and understanding. We can't say enough good things about this wonderful group of people!
Not sure why client have to wait outside.
I am taking my puppy to East Plains Animal Hospital. The staff are super friendly and kind and Dr. Cummings is an outstanding vet. My little girl didn't have a great start in life but is happy, healthy and thriving now. I've had animals my entire life and I am so happy to have found this clinic. Highly recommend!
We like the friendly staff and how well they treat the animals. We do wish they were more into holistic approaches when it comes to natural foods for pets, like recommending Raw pet food for example. But that's kind of what you get with western professions.
Excellent staff, caring, compassionate and dedicated to providing the best possible care for your animal.
Very clean place..staff friendly
I've been taking my dogs there for years. Recently Dr. Loh made a house call to help my dog since I was unable to carry her into the vet, on a busy day at the clinic she came to my house and took care of my dog who was in distress, who is also a senior, I'm so grateful for her service and recommend this clinic. The entire staff have always been very kind and caring.
Very helpful stuff and good doctors - they know what they doing. Not overharging - they consult with you treatment plan and the price, what is also important. Just one thing in minus - front door :) It's very hard to get in with the stroller or bigger cage with the animal - it suppost to open by button
Whilst I was there working on their dryer vent issues behind the I saw just how caring they were to the pets they had in. Also they have 7 I think they said house cats they have acquired over the years... they were really at ease
We have switched clinics to keep Dr. Loh as our veterinarian. She is very knowledgeable when we have questions, also extremely gentle and kind when handling any of our 4 cats. A great professional clinic!
Everyone at East Plains is great and Crash loves them too
Fantastic service, very accommodating and understanding, and very professional. Our two boys got neutered here, and they recovered faster than any pet I've ever owned. I was, and am, shocked!
Love the customer service & genuine care & attention given to each one of my pets.
We have been coming here for about a year and a half now and are completely satisfied with the care and attention they have given our cats. We only wish our cats were as enthusiastic about their visits ????So happy to have chosen this clinic after moving to Burlington from Toronto.
Love it! Amazing people!
This is the go to place for our dog, theyre always responsive and quick to act. I never feel like they're trying to force any products on me and feels more like a friend giving advice. Highly recommend!
We transferred our westie Gamma (12 and, it must be noted, a good boy) to East Plains Animal Hospital shortly after moving back to Burlington. Their professionalism and level of care are both excellent. Gamma is excited to see the team when he goes which says something. Gamma had a growth on his leg and some trouble with his teeth. The growth was very nearly but not quite an emergency situation. EPAH did his intake quickly and scheduled time for surgery. Our options were clearly explained by the veterinarian. Post-surgery, it seems to be all clear. On picking Gamma up, he was dopey and a little unsure of himself and he was wearing the cone of shame but it was apparent he'd been well cared for. When it was time for his follow-up and suture removal, Gamma was eager to go visit which again, says something. We had been quoted over 3K at the high end and 2K at the low by his previous vet in Mississauga for the same services. The EPAH high quote was lower than his previous vet's low, again, for the same expertise and level of service. To booth, we are happier with the care he receives than we had been with his previous vet.
East Plains is THE most compassionate vet I've ever dealt with. The entire staff are dedicated to caring for your pets and offer compassion and understanding when you have to say that final goodbye
Very helpful staff, always compassionate and kind.
Just moved to new Digs, same plaza, 30 feet from original location. Same wonderful, caring staff.
Amazing caring staff that help support you through the rough times and celebrate the wonderful moments.
Excellent, caring staff ..I wouldn't bring my boys anywhere else ????♥️
Great staff, caring and professional. My guy Norman loves going there
I have taken my cats here for years, even before Marilyn Lou was there, and have never been disappointed. My cats are very precious to me and I would never trust them with just anyone, I know that the doctors as well as the staff here really do care about the pets left in their charge.
Lovely staff. They always recognize my dog when she comes in and are very happy to see her. They are extremely helpful and understanding with my dogs plethora of issues. Very caring and patient. Always a friendly place.
I had taken my dog their yesterday to try and finally get some answers about his allergies. Dr.Nikki was absolutely amazing. She was very informative and explained everything to me. I finally was able to get some answers about my dog and where I need to start to help him get better. I will be going to this vet from now on for any animal I have and would recommend this vet to anyone. They were so helpful and nice and very good to my dog cooper.
Great doctor and support staff. On the expensive side
Amazing place my dog went there for an operation which ended up being 4 hours long because of complications with his heart.never the less they didnt give up and managed to save his life ,which I will always be so grateful for .kind caring staff and dr nicky is a star ! 10 out of ten thank you so much east plains animal hospital!!!
Everyone there is friendly and helpful. They answer any questions I may have and definitely care for all the animals they meet.
Great service and dedicated staff. We've been bringing our cat from hell here for 7 years! And just a big thanks for your help and wonderful staff.
Very friendly. Vet is a dog owner.
Mixed feelings about East Plains Animal Hospital. The staff is amazing, from the front counter to the doctors on staff. The doctors are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and my dog is reasonably comfortable here. My only issue is the prices. I feel the prices here are outrageous and not very easy to manage when you don't have a lot of money.
We have been coming to East Plains Animal Hospital for about 7-8 years and cannot say enough good things about everyone there, each of the vets and staff members. We were pleased with our relationship anyway, but the care, patience and guidance we have received in the last few years with our now 16 year old Golden retriever has been incomparable. My partner I have discussed moving out of Burlington, and if we do, we will continue to bring our pet to East Plains. Thank you for all that you do!
My dog had an emergency recently and my husband drove her to this clinic because it was the closest one to our house. They are not our regular vet so he wasn’t familiar with the hours. He arrived close to closing time and the staff stood inside yelling “No!” at him through the window. The appropriate thing to do would have been to open the door and say “sorry we’re about to close, here is an option for a nearby emergency clinic” but instead they behaved with a total lack of professionalism and care. Really disgusting. If that’s their attitude to a sick dog I’ll stick with my regular vet which is a 45 minute drive away.
Everyone was so caring and gentle with our dog. We moved to Grimsby but still take our dog to East Plains even though we have a vet 2 minutes down the road.
My first experience was good with my puppy, but recently when doing the assessment for getting neutered - I was really disappointed in their treatment and lack of professionalism. Given Covid, I had requested when the vet was to call me from the clinic, while assessing my dog, that we do this via FaceTime. Since I have a Covid puppy - I have never personally met the vet, always drop off visits, an dI would like to see the person who is going to be doing surgery on my dog. I show up at the vet, and they come to get my dog, and I said, ok I'll be back in 20 minutes - which is what they told me to do last time. This time the woman is rude and says I'm not allowed to leave and must wait in the parking lot for liability. Umm....ok? So I do. Then the vet calls and tells me she didn't know my dog was coming for a face to face visit and that she sent me a google meet (I got nothing). She then rushes through our conversation and I ask about tick medication and we decide to move forward with that and the neutering quote she would email. The vet assistant comes out - again rude and not friendly - and I ask about the Tick medication and she has no idea what I'm talking about - finally goes back in and gets it. Two days later and I have no neuter quote. I email them and they said they sent it to my email, and of course they had the wrong email written down. Then - no acknowledgement of their mistake - not even a friendly email to deliver the quote, simply an attachment.I can't realistically send my dog to a vet who seems rushed, disorganized and without care and kindness to me or my dog. I will be taking my services elsewhere unfortunately. I wish we had the experiences of others - but this is not a professional clinic at this point in time.
Amazing staff, very knowledgable.
This isn't my dog's normal vet, I went in because I happened to be in the plaza with him and he needed his nails trimmed. The woman at the front desk was not very personable right off the bat. Then she asked me how my dog reacts to getting his nails trimmed. I told her that he is fussy at first, but gives up almost immediately and cooperates once he is on the table. She replied by saying, "well if we have to get four people to hold him down, you'll have to pay $40". The tiny girls at PetSmart have no problem with him at all and they always do a great job. It seemed like an unnecessary thing to say with an unnecessary tone considering I had just told her he was cooperative. She was all set to go back with him and I asked her if she needed to weigh him at all, only because that's what his usual vet does when I take him there so I didn't know. She seemed very unsure and hesitantly took him over to the scale, weighed him, and took the wrong number--I didn't say anything because the weight didn't seem overly relevant anyway. She grabbed the leash out of my hand to take him to the back and he pulled towards the door. I explained that my pooch is a big baby and I generally have to carry him to the door leading to the back room. My dog is a medium-sized dense 65lbs and she tried to lift him with two arms under his belly. I had to explain to her how to properly pick up a dog, which I thought was standard for someone who works at a vet clinic, and she still picked him up wrong. He flailed and she almost dropped him. She finally gets him into the back and I could hear her swearing through the thin door. It sounded like she was really struggling with him in the back throughout most of the service, a problem that he's never had before. She brought him out, I paid and just left because they had completely stressed out my dog. When we got outside, I checked his nails. She missed one of his dewclaws and another nail at the back and about 40-50% of the rest were split. Will never be back. What a nightmare!
I took my last cat there, and am taking my new cat in to them... They always have enough time for my little guy, and his worry wart of an owner. In any tough situation they are very helpful, and very understanding and patient. I'm very appreciative of Dr. Loh, Dr. Cumming, Dana, and all of the other employees there.... Thanks guys. I appreciate all of you very much.
Staff are very caring and show that they legitimately care about your pets.
Always eager and easy to work with me
I can only say THANK YOU! They're the best vet clinic I've been to. They're always there when you need them and are very kind to you. As a puppy owner we tend to over worry about our little ones since they can't say much, but this place is always there to listen. They'll accommodate as much as possible and they will comfort you until your little one is well. I know I have nothing to fear when my puppy is in their good hands. 10 stars to this amazing place! ⭐
We have been using East Plains since they opened here. Great staff, great attention to the animals - and the owners. Recently had to put down our Donzi after years of service here but even through COVID they were attentive and compassionate. We thank you for your effort and love of animals!
We drive 45mins just to stay at this vet. They are amazing! Thank you to all the wonderful ladies that work there!
Friendly helpful staff.
I worked in the pet industry for decades and have worked with/known many vets and clinics. Our experience with EPAH has been amazing. The entire team we've dealt with so far since we adopted our pup have been thorough, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I always say you need a good honest mechanic and vet. I am very grateful a friend referred us to EPAH.
Drs are good with the animals and u can see they love every animal that comes through their door and i find their very reasonable lve had my dog there for at least 8years i think they deserve a 5 star rating
Amazing experience. I just got a new puppy and they provided so much information and assistance. They have been very accommodating with scheduling and take the time to discuss any issues or concerns. I highly recommend this location. All the vets and staff are wonderful!!!
This is a money driven business. I am even afraid to think about what had happened to my dog in this clinic. I suspect they create problems to make more money. I took videos of my dog before and after the clinic visits, I could see the differences. It's too bad that animals cannot tell you what had happened to them. It's so scary to think about it.
Perfect! Very professional and friendly.
THE GOOD: I have a deaf and blind middle aged dog named Sophie. When I moved into the area a year ago I needed to find a new Vet for her. I didn't like having to find a new Vet who didn't know Sophie and having to entrust them with a dog with special needs, but I've had nothing but a great experiences with East Plains Animal Hospital. ???? They take time to go over things to make sure my dog is in good health, they haven't gauged me or have me pay for things that aren't needed. ???? They really seem to care about how Sophie is doing and even remember what she was like on previous visits and know if she's doing better or worse. Whether on the phone or in person, I've been very impressed! I highly recommend them! COULD IMPROVE: There really isn't anything I can say here. They've always done a great job. ???? SUGGESTIONS: Keep doing what your doing! ????
Trust Dr. Loh and her team implicitly. They have always been there for me and all of my fur-babies.
Best. Care. Ever.
It was closing time for them but I needed to pick up some canned dog food. I just moved to Burlington and didn’t have a new vet yet. The receptionist went out of her way to help me get my dog the food she needed. Thank you so much.
If I could give 0 stars I would!! This vet is all about $$! AVOID THIS PLACE! I had a senior dog who was having worsening mobility issues and had recently become incontinent. After the 3rd morning of waking up to accidents in the house I booked an appointment at this place. I really thought my dog was at the end of her life but the vet informed me it could be gut related issues. The vet tried to sell me very expensive dog food but I opted for the powder instead. When the vet asked how much I fed her I was told I was hugely underfeeding her and that I needed to double her feedings. When we returned a month later I was told my dog was obese and that was contributing to her issues. When I told the vet what I was told before at the same vet clinic she said "Well that was a different vet!" My dog stopped having accidents in the house for about 2 weeks but now she was unable to go up or down any stairs and she struggled just to get up from a laying down position. A month after her first visit I called back and explained the issues going on and we booked an appointment to put her down as she was clearly suffering and in quite a lot of pain. When I called I was told the time to bring her in and that it would be done then. The day came and I told my children to say their goodbyes and the family was devastated. After they brought my dog in (I had to wait in the car due to COVID and they would call me in when they were ready to put her down) I got a call from the vet asking me all kinds of questions about the dog and she told me she would not put her down but if I wanted to pay an extra $200 they would do xrays and if they found something then they might look at euthanasia as an option. I was so upset as when I called they said Id just have to bring her in and they would put her down and my kids had been crying thinking they were saying good bye to their dog. I took my dog home and called the SPCA who were mortified at what we had been through with East Plains Animal Hospital and said they would do an assessment to see if she could be rehomed to a more senior friendly environment or if she should be put down. Upon assessment they immediately said that shes's close to end of life and they would not be able to re home her. They again apologised for how we were treated by East Plains Animal Hospital and informed us that euthanasia was definitely the best option. I always believed that vets were always looking out for the best interest of the animals despite many money grabbing stories I had heard. This place changed my mind as they definitely weren't concerned about my dogs pain and suffering and quality of life but they were always ready to try to suggest more expensive dog food they sold, expensive testing, and any other options where they could make a $. I am not cheap and it isn't about me not wanting to spend money. I had already paid this vet a few hundred dollars for our first visit. I really hope people will think twice before going here!
Best team of vets we know! They are all so caring and kind! Dr Cumming is very knowledgeable and kind and always discuss all your options and best for your pet considering the financial factor as well! We have 2 dogs with chronic conditions and have been the best we could ask for, we are always assured our pets are having the best care and this team goes above and beyond for them! We cant thank them enough!
Love the staff and service.
I cannot thank the wonderful staff at east plains enough for the amazing care my baby received. My dogs are my world and I feel so safe knowing that my vets love and treat my dogs as their own. My dogs get so excited when we pull into the parking lot because they love being there. The atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming. And I cannot say enough good things about the reception staff- they are always accommodating, friendly, cheerful and understanding. I recommend this hospital to anyone!!
My dog and I have always received the best care from their staff, so much so my dog gets actually excited to go
