We loved our first time visit and highly recommend Beattie Pet Hospital Veterinary Clinic. The Veterinarian and vet tech staff was caring and unsurpassed by any standards The atmosphere rooms facility was impeccably clean and modern (Loved the TV monitor information in the rooms )They are so kind to my dog and did everything to make her visits quick and painless.. Excellent care and service for my pet.
Beattie Pet Hospital is the most real, down to earth, tell it like it is vet we have every been to. They are up front with their pricing, advice and genuinely care for your pet. Their front line staff are kind and helpful.
Terrible disorganisation with med refills - left my dog in pain for 2 days with no apology . I called in a refill request, they ignored it, I went into the office 4 times only be told at 6pm on the second day that they didn't even have the medication. If I;d known that immediately I would have taken him elsewhere. Its a basic painkiller !
So sweet with our puppy ❤️
Great place. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The doctors go through all of the procedures with you so you know what's happening to your pet. They safely neutered my pet who has a stage 4 heart murmur without a hitch. 100% recommend.
I can’t recommend Beattie’s enough! The service is great, the vets are knowledgeable and kind, and I always know my pets are in good hands. The office is clean and welcoming. Our kitties love seeing Dr. Matt!
Staff was super friendly and seemed like a well run place. This was our first visit here and I was impressed. Will definitely go back if needed (hopefully not)!
Compassionate and knowledgeable staff
DR MATT THE BEST VET IN THE UNIVERSE! !!!!!
They cremated our dog and did not keep the ashes just a communal cremation. Not what we wanted now we do not have her ashes.
Making appointments here is pointless. While I consistently arrive five minutes prior to my appointment, I am always made to wait at least twenty minutes past my appointment time before they get my pet into the building. They do not respect their clients' time.
Nice staff, professional service. I took my cat there for a paw injury, Dr. Matt did all routine checks before checking on the paw, was super nice to my cat. She was very comfortable with him and she was very happy when we left. I would recommend taking your pet there for great care & service.
Love the clinic and Dr. Mat is the best vet ever.
Without so much of a minute of consultation I was given an estimate for a very expensive diagnostic appointment that included upselling of unrelated procedures. This place is good for routine vaccinations and heartworm pills but when there is a situation that requires actual attention to the individual pet they continue to stick to the "production line textbook" and recommend treatment not based on the pet's age and unique condition but based on how much money they can squeeze out of you. I've seen a few good doctors here over the years but it's a complete hit and miss with a very high rotation/turnover of doctors. A typical example of corporate business vs. a private practice. I switched both of my dogs to another clinic and don't regret it for a second.
Always a good experience. Friendly staff knowledgeable doctors. My cat Joey is always happy to go there because they make him feel better everytime! Joey will not go anywhere else.
We've been taking our dog to Beattie for several years so we were happy to see them open a Burlington location. It's a bit expensive but great quality care.
Customer friendly staff, reasonable charges. Dr Matt is amazing. My pet’s spaying surgery was smooth. They do laser hence I chose them and I was not disappointed. She was back to normal in a week and completely healed in two weeks. Definitely recommend.
Beattie Burlington has been Cooper’s vet from day one. The clinic has been patient with our unannounced drop-ins to be weighed every 2 weeks. Their patience has paid off as he can now go on the scale and sit patiently to get a cookie. For his first ever non routine visit, I happened to snag a same day consultation appointment. The tech and vet were, once again, extremely caring, patient, knowledgeable, and flexible with discussing treatment options. All of our questions and concerns were addressed in a genuine and thoughtful manner. The front desk staff are equally as courteous, friendly, and time efficient.
I had to have my old Cat put to sleep. They were very compassionate.
This place is a joke . They overcharged for their services and bill you for everything possible including $75 for a recheck. My friend took her sick dog there which they put thru the mill. Xray blood work, ultra sounds, n more blood test antibiotics and painkillers and still these "professionals" can't pin point what is exactly wrong. ???? what a sin this poor dog ???? has to suffer all inorder for them to make a buck. Shameful.... I won't take my pet gold fish there. ????
Could not be more thankful and pleased with this animal hospital!! Our sweet Labrador swallowed a foreign object and had to get surgery done here (for a 2nd time). The staff was amazing, letting us visit him during his recovery whenever we wanted during our stressful and scared time. They went above and beyond for our incredible but silly boy. The surgery went as well as it possibly could have, and the incision keeps looking better. Thank you SO much for saving our best friend!
Took my sisters puppy there last year on an emergency appointment, not only were they great with us and the pup, their prices very reasonable and the facility was spotless. This made me decide to try them out when the need came for our fur-child. Well the need came unexpectedly with our little chihuahua this past week After work she was not eating, drinking or walking they brought us in on an emergency appointment as our vet was not open. The visit was welcoming from the initial phone call and followed through til the end. These people are not only caring, their knowledgeable and they don't gauge your pocket book either. Aside from x-rays we were never separated from our fur-child, even for her immunizations. Quality people, quality facility, quality work being done and the customer service is top notch and we found their prices are refreshingly affordable and reasonable. We highly recommend you try them out if you're considering it! This is our go to, and Dr. H is simply quite amazing. Thank you for everything, always. A great team in the Burlington location.
Brought in my dog today at 6pm. Receptionist must have had a bad day or woke up on the wrong side of the bed given her quick confrontational attitude when asked a simple question. Bringing your pet to the vet is stressful in itself. Very unprofessional, and very disappointed.
We were reallyworried about our puppy who had an odd skin bump and some general lethargy. There was absolutely no pressure from staff for unnecessary testing and the doctors were amazing at speaking to us in understandable terms and calming Hurley.
They are very caring and I find them quite affordable as well! Very happy I have found this team for my dog's care.
We first met Dr Murato a year ago when are dog became extremely ill. This year, we received a devasting diagnosis for our cat from another vet clinic. I decided to get a second opinion and once again Dr Murato was who we saw. She actually saved our cats life. She treated her with antibiotics for what we were told was lung cancer from the other clinic. And she said that while mammary tumours in cats are almost always cancerous, she suggested a let's wait and see approach. When she reassessed our cat 3 months later she was hopefully and agreed that we should proceed with surgery. Surgery was done at the Stoney Creek location but this location made all the arrangements. The surgery was a success and in fact, the tumours were benign. Our cat is 13 and she has done miraculously well and I believe it's due to the outstanding quality of care from Dr Murato and the staff at both Burlington Beattie's and the surgeon and staff at Stoney Creek Beattie's.
Not surprising to see that latest 'bad customer service' review here. And I have heard great things about Dr. Matt. Just left the chaos that is the parking lot at Beattie animal hospital. Booked an appointment for my dog yesterday because they couldn't get me in on Sunday (no problem-the person I spoke to yesterday after being put on hold 3 times for a total wait time of 20 minutes walked me through some simple assessment/triage items to see if it was urgent. It was not an emergency, but I needed to make an appointmet). No one told me about the protocol for appointments yesterday, and when I arrived it was absolute chaos in the parking lot. People lined up outside the clinic in cars, people outside with animals, people in the back parking lot with animals. No information about what to do when you have an appointment on their website- NONE <---customer service 101. I saw green posterboard signs on the back doors of the building that indicated to call if there was an appointment so I called the clinic and was placed on hold....as usual. someone finally came on and asked for my appointment time and phone number and I was told that someone would call me. I asked, 'call me and then what?' I was told 'bring him to the doors' <---again would've been nice to know. My appointment time came and went and as I sat there with my dog in the car, I called another vet and booked an appointment. I decided to be courteous (something not reciprocated at Beattie) and tell them I was cancelling, and was told "They were literally about to call you" to which I replied "I literally called another vet." I looked to the front of the clinic and I guess they had "literally" called 4 other people because there was a line of owners and dogs to hand off at the front doors. Lesson learned-never again. The pandemic has been going on for a year- and the process, protocol for appointments should be fine tuned by now. Even a simple "hey you're checked in, thanks for your patience, we are running 10-15 minutes behind" would have kept me there....but that seems to be beyond anyone at this place. Management- do better. PUT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR COVID PROTOCOLS ON YOUR WEBSITE. The last information there is from June 2020. Tell your staff to inform people that you are running late- pet owners will understand but it's important to let them know. It indicates you value their business. Wow. Absolutely awful.
Absolutely amazing staff, doctors and timings. This was Puffy's first vet visit and her vet Dr. Danielle Hong was patient, accommodating and took time to explain things to us being new pet owners. All doctors here really care about your pets. Fees are reasonable as compared to other places too.
My dog is usually scared of the vet but hes comfortable here. Ive had his teeth cleaned here many times and also for his advantix treatments.
These guys were great. I called on Sunday explaining some symptoms with my dog, Scout, and the booked me in the same day. The staff was friendly and on time and got right to looking him over. Dr. Matthew was no nonsense. He prodded Scout a bit and had a diagnosis in under a minute. It was super convenient that they have an in house lab and we could get blood test results quickly. Scout got what he needed in less than an hour. The prices were fair, there were no surprises on my bill. A few days later and he is pretty much back to normal. Thanks Beattie!
This is the best experience we have had with a vet. Great service. Always helpful. They do not fix it if it is not broken. No upsells is refreshing. Reasonably priced. Good dog buscuits for patients :-) We have and continue to use Beattie Pet hospital for the past 5 years. I would suggest to new families in the Burlington and Oakville area that the will not find a more reasonable and caring medical team in which to entrust the well being of your canine companions.
Compassionate and understanding
We have had wonderful care for our pets at Beattie. They do everything they can to keep costs low, treat us and our pets with compassion, and have made life better for our cats.
horrible experience not even just once but all times I have had to deal with them. I got a kitten for my birthday end of may. The appointment was booked under my boyfriends parents account they already have so I couldn’t find out via a reminder phone call etc. Trying to switch my kitten to my own profile after must of been rocket science for them. It took way too long and his mom is still getting emails about this cat that’s on another account now that was suppose to be deleted. Bring the cat to the first appointment they highlighted the next shot in a month actually told me what was going on during this visit. Take him in the month later for what I thought was the last shot. They only spoke about rabies shots wished us luck with our new cat. I have been getting emails from them thinking it was for the rabies last thing the cat should need after they told me that. Find out that the emails I was getting was for the 3rd vaccination shot that I was never told about and that it is now over due and the kitten is non vaccinated and has to restart. Time to find a vet that actually takes care of pets and owners that just doesn’t treat us like a number and only wants our money.
Another amazing Beatties Hospital this location is special because they do special surgeries that other clinics don't do. Extremely friendly very clean prices are amazing as well
Clean, friendly, efficient
Good, honest service and open late.
Amazing staff & service - they really treat your pet will love and compassion.
The pricing here is great, and the reception staff alongside the technicians are so friendly. All of the veterinarians here are phenomenal and very informative. One thing I want to point out is how much I truly appreciate all of the work Dr. Matt Wittenrich has put into my chihuahuas. They are a busy clinic, so wait times are high sometimes for non-urgent but this is justified in the level of care they do. Numerous times, they’ve made last minute accommodations for my chihuahuas and have been very supportive and empathetic when additional treatment is needed. One of my chihuahuas was at the emergency clinic and Dr. Matt called me on his day off to check in to see how she was doing and stayed in touch with the emergency vet clinic. When he found out she passed away he called again to offer his condolences. I wouldn’t take Merlin, Kiwi, Allen, and Sosig anywhere else! They provide the uttermost top quality care and my Chi’s are always happy when at the clinic.
A bit pricey but excellent care 24/7
I absolutely LOVE the service provided here. Best place I've ever taken my animals to
I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.
They're really kind and nice, good place to cure our pets!
The price is right at Beatties but the service and wait times are horrible. I wish it was a one time occurrence but EVERY time I need meds (monthly) for my dog its has been a 3 ring circus. After many years of this I am super annoyed but like I say the price is right. I am so over having pets because of this place.
They took great care of our puppy and they all were very knowledgable! They were able to take a quick glance at our dog and know exactly what was wrong. Definitely will be going back!
Helpful and caring staff here. Definitely trust them with our dogs and cat.
This is a great animal hospital with nice staff, quick wait times, and reasonable prices.
I am so disappointed in this clinic. My dog is now 5 months old and was at Beattie for his 8 wk / 12 wk / 16 wk and an emergency appt. at three of the appts I mentioned that his eyes were very red and that there was alittle discharge. It was disregarded. I brought him in for an emergency appt because he had had diarrhea for the better part of a month and was panting very heavily. They did tests on his stool sample and someone other than a doctor phoned me to tell me it was clear. Then quickly said goodbye. No doctor follow up. You know .... how is he feeling is he still having lose stools etc. No suggestions whatsoever. I got more suggestions from the dog park. And as far as his red eyes which they totally disregarded - I finally put Polysporin for Pink Eye in for one day and they are completely cleared up. I just phoned to cancel his neutering appt in November and have his file transferred and they didn’t even ask why or try to find out anything. Very impersonal. Several different vets who don’t remember you from one visit to the next. although the girls at reception were nice.
Great place, very freindly people.
Great staff
This vet office literally killed our cat. In early June my mother took our cat, Storm to this awful place because she noticed blood in his stools. The vet, Dr. Danius Verbickas, ignored my mother's complaints about the blood in his stools and wrote it off that Storm was too fat to clean his bum properly, and said Storm needed to lose weight. Gave Storm an unnecessary shaving of his bum and sold my mother useless ointment and thirty dollar alcohol wipes. Storm went on to clean his bum again, and be the sweet, energetic cat he always has been. But, when he stopped eating, we took him in together on October 30th, only to be told by the more competent vet on staff that Storm had cancer, a condition he must have had back in June but stupid,, judgmental, and ignorant Dr. Verbickas didn't listen when my mother told him about the blood in his stools, so we lost any chance back in June of getting our cat any form of treatment. So, he died two days after our visit. So, please don't go to Beattie Pet Hospital, we went and we lost the most beautiful, amazing and sweetest cat we ever had. If you do, don't let Dr. Danius Verbickas treat your overweight cat or dog, because he will just tell you they're too fat, and not look for cancerous tumors or infections.
Love Beattie so far, (one year). Great Vets, reasonable rates and open 24hrs.
We said goodbye to our boy and the staff at Beattie Pet Hospital in Burlington made a very tough decision bearable. We called in and spoke with Kelly who was compassionate and caring and she greeted us when we arrived. Dr Matt was very sensitive to our needs and our boy was made comfortable. We left the facility feeling the staff cared very much about our needs and the needs of our pup. The care received was truly exceptional.
Phenomenal people! Great hours! Saved our dog with emergency surgery! Dr. Matt is pretty much our hero:) Humanely and with great empathy euthanized our cats. Always available to answer questions either in person, via phone, or email. Dr. Hotten, Linda, and so many other staff members, thank you so much for everything!!!
Not my favourite vet office. I have used this vet because of convenience and emergency. I find that there are far too many vets working at this clinic and therefore no consistency.
I agree with the last review!!!! This place is a joke . We’ve been there twice now spent over $600 AND still these "professionals" can't pin point what is exactly wrong. They sure did make a pretty penny off of us during hard times. VERY Shameful.... please read these reviews and do not take your pets here!!!! Also to the receptionists have a little bit more compassion when speaking with clients and understand their frustration. They take your call as a joke and just another random patient. They chuckled on the phone and placed us on hold then transferred the call. VERY professional. not! You should be ashamed. Poor customer service.
Panda is well taken care of here
Problem #1 ~ April 2016 I decided to use Beattie as our vet as most but not all reviews seemed good. When I made the appt I told them my dog is not good around other dogs so when we arrive, i will come in first to check-in & when they are ready to take her in, my husband will then bring her in. I checked in with a v young girl, she told me they were ready now so bring Bella in now. Went out to tell my husband to bring Bella in & when we got back in there was a lady with her dog "OFF LEASH" chit chatting at the desk. I had to grab Bella into my arms as both dogs went for each other. Then we were put in a corner out of the way but the OFF LEASH DOG kept coming over to Bella. We were then left to wait for 15mins while this girl & woman chit chatted & the off leash dog kept coming over. Stressful situation! Problem #2~Finally a lady vet looked at Bella's ears, she had an infection. She asked us "would you like me to show you how to insert the drops?" We said yes pls. When we got out bill there was an additional $40 charge on it for... SHOWING US HOW TO INSERT THE EAR DROPS. My husband refused to pay it as we were not told about this fee beforehand. They argued with us & in the end we had to pay it. NICE FIRST EXPERIENCE. NOT!! Problem #3~ The following day I called to speak to a manager about my first impression & stressful experience. I was told they have a sign on entering "NO off leash dogs." Really? Then why the off leash dog that day?? She would speak to the young lady & get back to me. As for the over charge... sorry about that! VERY BAD SERVICE EXCELLENT! Problem #4~ Bella is prone to earn infections due to ongoing allergies. Her prescription needs to be renewed every 4mths. Yesterday, Dec. 2nd 2016, I called Beattie asking for the name of the prescription as I can get it off my pharmacist for half the price they charge. I was told, in order to fax it, i would have to pay $25+tax for the FAX. (Talk about making it all about the MONEY, I can have my own prescription faxed to another pharmacy & not have to pay a penny) I called them a second time to tell them I would come up & pay & I would pickup the prescription. I was told I'd still have to pay the $25+tax. On checking with my pharmacy I decided it want worth it for me, Beatties were making sure I didn't save money or rather they didn't lose money by making me pay that fee so I had no choice but to renew it with Beatties. I called them for the 3rd time, I asked if they would have the ear drops ready & I would pick them up this evening. *As if things couldn't get any worse, the lady now tells me, we cannot renew the ear drops. You have to come in for another consultation $50+tax, plus the cost of the drops. So now all of a sudden I cannot get the drops even though I called twice that day already & was told I could. No the drops are costing over $100. Can you imagine needing to renew your prescription with your Dr. for ongoing ear allergies & you were told the drops would cost $100+. ~ I'M DONE WITH BEATTIES THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY ALL ABOUT THE MONEY AND DEFINITELY NOT THE ANIMAL. I WILL NOT BE BACK. ~ *** AND FOR ALL THESE GOOD REVIEWS HERE, REMEMBER STATISTICS SHOW THAT PEOPLE WHO HAVE ISSUE WITH A CO. TEND NOT TO COMPLAIN, THEY INSTEAD WILL REPEAT THEIR BAD EXPERIENCE WITH AT LEAST 10 PEOPLE BEFORE THEY FORGET AND MOVE ON. THEY NORMALLY WILL NOT DO A REVIEW, THEY WILL MOST LIKELY JUST REPEAT THEIR EXPERIENCE VERBALLY!! ***
Great service. Always open.
Going to the vet's office is never a good thing nor something I enjoy to do. My dog though never seems to have an issue with it and the staff here are friendly, booking is simple and painless, and they answer most of my questions well. Rates are pretty reasonable as well.
I took my dog here to pick up some medication and found their lockdown protocols excessive. I saw other people handing their dogs in at the front door and owners had to stay outside. They were literally locking the door on owners lol. My dog is nervous at the vet and they wanted to bring her in for bloodwork before providing me with tick medication. I explained that’s fine, but I’d like to inside with her while they do the bloodwork and they refused to let me inside. I ultimately had to sign a waiver to refuse the blood work before they would give me the medication. You’re supposed to be looking out for your patients, which are our pets. Have a bit of leniency in your protocols. If you notice a dog in distress about being at the vet, don’t try to pry them away from their owners who are keeping them calm. Poor decision making and scared staff working here ????
Got my puppy spayed here recently and the clinic was very professional and explained pre and post surgery instructions. They were efficient and organized with set timings for pick up and drop off. Very affordable and got an early appointment. Thank you!
I trust nobody else than the professional, courteous staff at Beattie Burlington. Compassionate, caring and only wanting the best for your pets, from the ladies that coordinate everything at the front, to all of the fantastic doctors... This location will see my dogs for their entire life, because it's what's best for them.
What a fantastic veterinary clinic!! We've had a wonderful experience so far with all the staff and Dr. Matt. We make the drive from Hamilton and couldn't be more pleased with the service for our Poodle Jager. Very reasonable and fair prices as well. Thanks Beattie Burlington!! Stay safe!!
We had our pup neutered at Beattie Pet Hospital on Halloween this year. I cannot say enough about how they handle themselves in such a professional manner. They were extremely helpful over the phone and giving me an estimate for his procedure. The check in progress day of was a breeze, didn't feel rushed and they answered all my questions and concerns. The girls at the front desk were amazing! The vet who did indy's procedure was fabulous! Healing time was fast and absolutely no complications. HIGHLY recommended!!
Bring my dog and cat here for their checkup. Have always been extremely helpful and informative.
Horrible, crazy bad prices , rude and disrespectful staff. I certainly DO NOT recommend this pet hospital. The doctor is very rude and made my pet feel very uncomfortable. They took very long and came 20 minutes after our appointment was. They are very expensive and charge you for when they do literally nothing. I wish I can give this 0 stars. They booked us an appointment without even asking us if it was ok. DO NOT GO HERE PLEASE
Could not have possibly had a better experience at this clinic. After having gone to an emergency clinic earlier on the day and been quoted a whopping $900 just to find out what was wrong with my dog, I gave Beattie a try. They booked me into their earliest appointment, did bloodwork right away, and quickly were able to figure out why my dog was so sick. The total for the entire visit (diagnostic, treatment, consolation, and special food) was just over $500, a much better price than emergency! The staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and clearly all really loved the animals. As my poor pup was lead away for bloodwork the tech did her best to keep the experience positive and encouraged and praised her constantly. If you are considering switching clinics or even just need a emergency appointment, Beattie is the place to be!
I have been hear numerous times for my various pets. Most recently I visited for my new lab puppy. Previously we had been for issues with our other dog (who has dental issues) and they were honest and straightforward with their examination and their costs. We had been elsewhere with him in the past and this quote was certainly more attractive than the work he had done before. Also, last summer our senior cat was having some issues. We took her in and after an assessment Dr. Matt recommended bloodwork and a round of steroids for 10 days. We did this and unfortunately it turned out to be cancer (as the doctor suspected). Dr. Matt was sweet and the whole team was very supportive when we had to make the difficult decision to put our cat down. I can't speak to other locations, but I do know that I drive out of my way to the Burlington location (past 2 other Beatties locations) solely for the consistent service I receive everytime I'm there.
The price is right at Beatties but the service and wait times are horrible. I wish it was a one time occurrence but EVERY time I need meds (monthly) for my dog its has been a 3 ring circus. After many years of this I am super annoyed but like I say the price is right. I am so over having pets because of this place.
We were verbally told by one employee (who appears to be part of the reception staff) at Beattie Burlington: that our gentle cat is an extremely aggressive cat. My husband and I, were both shocked! This wrong assessment was made after the clinic had administered prescription ear drops to our cat. One of the veterinarians confirmed what we already know: Our cat has NEVER shown signs of aggression. She does not move when we take her to the animal clinic. She is afraid and curls up into a little ball. On the flip side of the coin, we have been told by technicians that our cat is really easy to administer medication to. Also, our cat has a dental disease. I had a scheduled appointment booked with the dental specialist in March: Whereby, I cancelled it since I was told by a veterinarian at Beattie who had examined our cat's mouth that her teeth looked good. It was strongly recommended by Beattie that we did not have to take our cat to see the dental specialist... since her teeth looked good according to the veterinarian who examined her, at that time. Shortly after cancelling the dental-specialist appointment, I was told by Beattie that our cat needed dental surgery. Beattie performed the surgery. I should have listened to the dental specialists office...I should not have cancelled. It takes several months to get a veterinary appointment with a dental specialist. My cat will be seeing the specialist next month regarding her dental disease but I regret listening to Beattie's advice... to not have my cat seen by the dental specialist last March... only to have Beattie do dental surgery on my cat, shortly after cancelling with the specialist...upon their strong recommendation.
I’m very conflicted. I took my dog in after pulling a tick from him and I was told it was without a doubt a Deer Tick. Did 5 minutes of research and 100% it’s a dog tick. I was also told a cyst on my dogs leg was a solid mass and not something we could drain; tonight I drained it myself. How can a Vet give me such misinformation. I will not go back at all; not trustworthy; just out for money.
Calm caring place to take my dog. Really appreciate all you did for her. I highly recommend Beattie Pet Hospital.
I had an appointment for my 3 pets for their annual vaccines and flea and tick prevention treatments. I arrived for my appointment (which I drove from Hamilton to other side of Burlington) and called and checked in, the receptionist told me there had been an emergency and that they were behind ( they have literally said this every time we have ever gone there) and that they would call when they could take me. After waiting 1 full hour after my appointment time I called gave my name and asked what was going on with my appointment. The girl said “oh your pets are just in the exam room right now with the vet tech”. I then informed her that my animals were not with the vet tech but with me in my car waiting for the pst hour, she then put me on hold and someone else came on the lone 15MINUTES later and acted like nothing happened did not even apologize and proceeded to try and review why my pets were coming in today, which also needed up benign incorrect! I ended up leaving and I will never return. Horrible customer service. Unapologetic for long wait times and they obviously don’t have a very organized system and I would no longer trust my pets in their care especially unsurpervised.
They are friendly, and have helped us more than a few times
Timely, professional, knowledgable staff. Will bring my kitty back again for any other issues. Pet food/supplies area is kind of lacking, but they ain't a pet store... s'no big deal
We have been taking our dog to Beattie Pet Hospital for more than 12 years, first in Brantford and then in Burlington when that location opened. The staff has always been friendly and professional and the fees reasonable.
Such kind and caring people
They said my dog who was not even a year old at the time (about 10 months) had a genetic kidney condition that caused them not to grow properly with him and due to this, he would not survive much longer. I asked for a time limit if there were one. The doctor literally said he would not live past this month. and i asked him, well is there even a chance at all that he will live at all? The doctor said no but i forced a % chance of survival out of him cause i loved my dog and wanted hope. and he said 0.01% chance he would live past this month. I was devastated that my not even 1 year old puppy was going to die so soon and there was nothing we could do. It had been just over a year or so about a month before his second birthday. When we started to notice any sort of symptoms or signs. We had over a year with our puppy when we weren't supposed to have a month. We went to a different vet for check ups and for his euthanasia. Once we had realized our time had not run out with our puppy or even seem to start running out based on what the doctors told us. Just safe to get a second opinion with these guys, clearly they are not the most informed/intellectual doctors. Based on the wrong diagnosis/time period of symptoms and issues. They are super nice there and all that but at the end of the day i would prefer someone mean/rude with proper results over a nice guy who doesn't know what hes doing. Overall, definitely not going to be using this vet for future pets of mine. i do not want any false diagnosis to re-occur. Even if it was a "one time thing" its not worth the risk.
Brought in our cat, Nala, as she had prolonged sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes after being adopted from the shelter. The reception staff were super friendly. Dr. Nozomi made me feel very reassured and was very knowledgeable. I will definitely be bringing Nala back for her future appointments!
Great prices great doctors
Brought in my dog today at 6pm. Receptionist must have had a bad day or woke up on the wrong side of the bed given her quick confrontational attitude when asked a simple question. Bringing your pet to the vet is stressful in itself. Very unprofessional, and very disappointed.
My dogs continue to love the staff here, my big dog (who's life was saved by the staff here when he had an intestinal obstruction) absolutely cries with excitement everytime we pull up. Pricing is reasonable and staff has always been helpful and caring. They have a great new set up to adhere to the the current covid-19 protocols. Not only does the process feel safe but despite the extra challenge they still provide fast efficient and friendly service! Thank you to all the staff at Beatties of Burlington!
Great advise
Wait times can be very long. They take really good care of your pets. Edit: wait times have gotten worse. For the past year we've waited at least 30 minutes each appt and sometimes over an hour.
The staff at Beattie Burlington were super lovely at a very difficult time. They were not my regular Vet clinic, but the desk staff fit me in quickly and treated me with such kindness, as did the Vet Tech, The Vet was very professional, thorough, and compassionate. My overall experience was amazing considering my extreme grief! I cannot thank them all enough!
Always friendly staff, never have to wait very long, they seem to really care for your pets. The veterinarian is always patient and explains everything to me so I understand what is happening and how best to take care of my pet.

Great animal hospital. Caring staff. Great appointment times available.
I've been here twice - the first time I wasn't too sure if we would continue taking our cat there but after a second experience with them with a different animal we for sure will not be returning. I went to pick up my Mom's dog after a little surgery to remove a growth and they gave her back to me with her whole back end covered in diarrhea. Are you kidding me? How long was she sitting there like that? I took her home and bathed her, poor little thing.
I would never recommend this clinic based on my experience. The vet and I decided to try diet food. The order was placed and I was called to pick it up. I arrived and they did not have the order. They were also unable to keep up with the food order while we placed my dog on a diet. The customer service manager is not sympathetic and could not empathize with me. Very dismissive and did not value my time. The most recent incident involved there long wait times at the door. Nobody contacted me to advise me that the protocols changed. I left work early and drove a distance to be placed on hold continuously while waiting outside in the freezing cold and blowing wind. A tech came out and I asked to check in, the tech told me to read the sign, which did not indicate anything about the new COVID Policies. I get the impression this is a quantity over quality clinic as they certainly were extremely overbooked when I showed up for my appointment and expected me to wait 30-45 mins for my appointment. The vet were knowledgeable and helpful. However, the 'red tape' perhaps did not seem well organized. I wish people or businesses in the medical field would focus on providing the care that people deserve. While I appreciate that it is not cheap to become a doctor or vet, I don't think it is right to put quantity over quality when it comes to someone's health.
Great staff, great care and great pricing! I usually live in Toronto and have a vet there, but moved to Waterdown for a month for the summer and ended up having to get my kittens spayed and neutered a little earlier than expected so I chose to get it done with Beattie instead of going all the way downtown. The neuter went well and from the second I picked up my kittens, the male acted as if nothing had even happened to him. The spay also went well surgerically, but my little girl had an issue with her wound (her fault) and the staff at Beattie had me in for a check up on her the next morning! Lets just say when I move back to Toronto, I will be making the trip from Toronto to Burlington for any of my pets vet needs.
Great service very clean polite amazing staff!
Friend friendly staff and always willing to help.
My dachshund injured his back on a holiday so my regular vet was closed. This clinic took me in almost immediately and examined him. It was quick, efficient and I was quite surprised that all was under $100.00!! Facilities are new and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend.
Much better experience than the AWFUL Stoney Creek location. Staff were friendly and appointment times were met. Price for the spay they quote doesn't include meds and other necessary items though which is somewhat deceptive.
They are very caring with all our animals
Lack of information. Didn't tell all the costs that were involved. Nice staff but not informative
Clean,friendly,well educated techs
Excellent, caring staff all round.
Take my baby here for everything she needs. Wonderful staff.
I do not visit often but enjoy their cusyomer service and treatments
Friendly caring staff.
Unbelievable service. Best I've ever seen from a vet.
Although the wait was a bit long, I appreciate that this is an animal hospital and that other fur babies may need more immediate attention and was fine waiting. I am super impressed with how thorough the examination was and the care taken to explain my dog’s diagnosis with me. Love the app also and I think this is the best vet clinic I have ever been to (and I have been to quite a few over the years). Belle’s mom
I would recommend this pet hospital to everyone! From prices to staff they are the best. I started going to the Brantford location and when they moved to Hamilton, I went there and now that they r here in Burlington it is so convenient. I have taken a few animals there and no matter which location I used the staff are so caring and they seem to really enjoy what they do! I had to have my golden retriever euthanized, although it was a very sad experience for me, they made it very comfortable for my dog, from laying a blanket on the floor and sitting on the floor to talking quietly to him, I was impressed by their caring for my dog and me! I would urge anyone who needs a vet to go to Beattie Pet Hospital!
They are kind and friendly. I have visited this location for everything from annual wellness checkups, vaccinations to the unfortunate task of euthanizing one of my senior dogs. They have been professional and accommodating every time I go. They've even stayed open a little late for me so I could bring my dog in for an emergency visit. It is always clean and tidy. I highly recommend this location.
Highly advise not to go here. I got pulled in because of “good prices” but have had many bad experiences in the past year with my cat and dog. First was before my cat’s spay last year. I opted out of an OPTIONAL precautionary X-ray and the vet called me while I was at work and very rudely said “your cat may very well die then.” Another time I got charged $60 for a vet to come in, say hello, LOOK at my cat, say “oh she’s a healthy kitten”, and then walk out. $60. He didn’t even get close enough to her to examine her eyes that I was very concerned about. We were just rushed out and left very unsettled. Most recently, I was told that my puppy’s kennel cough medication would not include the service fee because a vet tech could administer it rather than a vet. They charged me anyways. When I asked why, they tried saying because the vet did it, even though I didn’t ask him to. I would have been perfectly fine with a vet tech doing it and saving some money. After I explained this, they made another excuse. They tried telling me my puppy had to have been there in the last month in order to waive that service charge. First of all, no one told me that and second, my pup actually WAS there in the past month. To make even further excuses, they said “well he came at the beginning of October and now that it’s near the end of November it doesn’t count”, and I still had to pay. I tried contacting Beattie directly and they said someone would get back to me. No one has. Each time I go, there is a different vet, which is probably why no one is ever held accountable. Safe to say Beattie does not show that they genuinely care about their animals nor customers. We have found a new vet. Funny how they only respond to good reviews too. Unprofessional business looking for money only.
I have had good experiences with the vets and staff. There are ongoing issues with communications regarding our client file and information. After making a formal complaint a vet took steps to add in convince to throw list regarding medication refills.
After several misdiagnosis from my regular vet, my cat was finally properly assessed and treated. Dr. Matt was caring and interested in my concerns and really listened. Thanks to such quality service from Dr. Matt at Beattie I will continue to bring my pet here.
The Cat Hospital of Burlington stands to learn SO much from this place. I have NEVER experienced a more professional and accommodating veterinary establishment. Beattie's is a no brainer. I, honestly, can't believe so many of Burlington's terrible veterinary clinics have been able to survive them. I will never go anywhere else, and I will poach pet-owners from anywhere I can, because I believe so strongly in what the Beattie chain is trying to do... and doing so well, might I add.
Wonderful staff. Kind and professional. I will definately be using their services againm
Kenneled my dog here and he picked up a skin rash, now he's scratching and chewing himself raw. Brought him back to been seen and I waited over 45 minutes after my appointment time.
I truly think this clinic is amazing, personable and great to deal with. We have been through it all... putting down our older pup, knee surgery with our loving young pup, shots, checkups, 2 spayed surgeries and monthly dog food order. I would highly recommend you and thank you for all you do for our fur-family!
This place is a joke. Horrible horrible service. Used to be a good place to bring your pets but now it’s my second visit and I’m waiting over 1 hr for a simple check up. I mean I get there’s emergencies but not every damn time you need to get some care for your pet. I’m taking my pet somewhere else.
Unfortunately I had to use their services to put down a much loved pet and they were amazing. So respectful and empathetic. When I feel it is time to get another dog I will definitely use them for vet services. Thank you so much for being available at such a distressing time.
Great place to take your pets!
If it wasn't for these guys...a couple of my best friends wouldn't be here....they are very understanding and accomodating
This is reflective of the staff a year ago as I’m only just ready to talk about my experience at this location. My dog had cancer and was in her final months when we moved to this location. The first vet (a short woman) was kind and gentle and never tried to upsell us on anything that we didn’t need, and gave us recommendations on what medicines and dosage and we felt like she really cared and took into consideration how hard this was on two very young people who had never dealt with this before. Unfortunately halfway through our experience we stopped seeing her so I believe she must’ve moved to another location, and we started seeing another vet there. He, while professional, was cold. Despite knowing our dog would pass away soon (she was having multiple seizures, and the cancer was only getting worse) he tried to sell us heart worm medication. When we got to the reception desk to pay our bill was $300 more than expected because of this. We had already been spending so much money due to the emergency visits and the medications she was on, and we were shocked he’d even pitched the sale to us. $300 dollars is a lot to two young people who just moved out on their own and took on the responsibility of a neglected dog that no one else in the family would. When we came to put Angel down the reception staff was kind, and we were shown to our room. I know they lit the little candle they had that lets people know that a euthanization was happening and to be quiet out of respect. The vet came and told us what he was doing as he was doing it. Now I know you can’t control what your customers do all the time but outside our room someone’s cell phone started ringing, and it kept ringing, and then they answered it and were talking outside our door and I could hear it all while trying to keep composure as I was losing my best girl. Again, only the customer is to blame for that, I just wish an employee would’ve shushed them or told them to please take the call outside as the candle was lit and we were saying goodbye. Before the vet came a young man was getting us set up, told us about our cremation options and when I asked about a paw print he says “it comes with it”. I thought that was great. Unfortunately that was not the case. They told us we had 48 hours after today to go on the Gateway website and pick out any special options we wanted, and otherwise she would receive a generic urn. We decided that was fine and took our time mourning and didn’t log onto the website, as we thought the information they provided us would be enough for us. Weeks went by with no phone call. I decided to call the location and discovered they don’t call when your animals ashes arrive back to the location but instead send an email. They said it was because it was a sensitive call, but I feel an email is more insensitive and impersonal and I felt overwhelming guilt for not being glued to my email in anticipation for picking her up. I drove over with my partner and we got her and went back to the car. She was in a cardboard box and I expected the urn to be securely in the box, safe and sound. When I opened the box there was nothing more than a purple silk bag and her remains in a plastic bag within the silk. I broke down in tears in my car and my partner went back into the hospital to find out more information. He discovered we’d be misinformed by not one but two employees about what we would be receiving. No paw print, no urn. I will never be able to get a print now as my dog is nothing but ashes. Luckily we have fur clippings. We went elsewhere to get an urn. We will not be returning to this location if we adopt in the future. I hope that the staff is fully aware of all that comes with cremations and I hope no one else has to deal with that. I would recommend switching the policy of emailing customers when their pets ashes arrive to a phone call. I cannot stress enough that you shouldn’t be trying to sell heart worm medication, or anything else unnecessary, to folks with a dog that is going to pass away in a month.
Amazing. Great staff great doctors. Amazing surgeons. Open easter sunday at 730 am with no up charge. I would never bring one of our animals anywhere else. From cancer surgery to basic vaccinations. Fair prices and great hours.
They were compassionate, and their pricing for within Burlington is probably the most affordable.
Never have an issues with my pets going in. Always greeting
Great care of my dogs and cats by all staff here. Very knowledgeable and they really take time to answer all your questions and review options. Highly recommend this place.
Friendly staff, reasonably priced... make your fur babies feel safe ????
Friendly staff and accommodating. Treated our dog with care and explained options well. .
I have been taking my pets to Beattie's for years. I used to drive all the way to Brantford when that was their only location and now even though I live in Hamilton, I take my kitties to the Burlington location. The vet there that treats our kitties is so gentle and calm with them and the reception staff are always very friendly and happy and informative. I always feel like my babies are in great hands with Beattie but without the hefty price tag. Also a few years ago when we had to bring our elderly cat here to go to sleep, they were so considerate and turned the lights down in the office and put up signs to let others know that someone was saying goodbye to a pet and they lit candles for us. It was honestly one of the best ways to have to go through a terrible experience like that. It was a bright patch in a really dark day. I definitely recommend Beattie's to other pet parents, your fur babies are in the best of care with them!
Today I had to put my cat of seventeen years down and the staff here made us feel so much better. Enrique said goodbye to my cat after putting in her catheter and made me and my mom feel as if she was in the right hands. From the call in saying my cat was dying and the second we walked out without my baby this place made me and my passed cat feel welcomed and comfortable and safe. I fully recommend this place they saved our day and we were able to go home and talk about our good memories with our baby. Rest In Peace skittles and thank you to Beatties Staff.
It was our first visit with Loki and we were so impressed with the excellent customer service, and the patience that Dr Kelly had in answering all of our questions - no matter how minor or silly. Appreciate it and look forward to coming back for Loki's booster shots at the end of the month!
I've had two incredibly positive experience with Beatties Pet Hospital. The first involved our Bengal and the second involving our Cairn Terrier. Both times we were seen quickly and our pets were given the utmost care and attention. As many may identify, price is always a concern. The staff helped us decide what level of care was affordable and appropriate for our animals based on their specific needs. Beattie's has earned our trust and we are happy patrons.
Friendly place, took really good care of our dog
Love all the staff here and have had nothing but excellent experiences. As excellent as having an ill pet can be hahaha! Very organized and professional, with a calm atmosphere. Have yet to meet a vet I didn't immediately trust here. Vet techs and receptionists all know what's going on and seem to communicate well, so I'm never left waiting and wondering what's happening.
The veterinarians here are the best. Super compassionate and actually care about you and your animals. They don't try to shove extra add-ons at you to buy, they just tell you what they recommend and let you decide from options. Also, pretty affordable overall. They've saved my dog Lily more than once when she's had some bad reactions to medications and illnesses in the past and helped me stay calm with regular phone calls and updates when she's had to be with them. Would definitely recommend to every pet owner out there!
Was enjoying taking our 2 dogs to this clinic however they will are now segregating client's from Vax and unvax. This is not inclusive. We will not support this behavior I easily found a new vet practice.
Staff is always very knowledgeable and pleasant. Always on tume for appointments, and very considerate with your time. Been going for years and will not stop!
Today we had too make the gut wrenching decision to give our fur baby "Fuzzball"her angel wings . Thank you to the Vet and all the staff for their care , compassion and professionalism they showed to both my parents and to Miss Fuuzy. (She lived a very papmpered life, and will ne greatly missed.
Waited for the vet for 50 mins .. Didn’t actually get to see them Then was corrected by reception on the appt they booked me which was incorrect .. and then the reception became belligerent I guess it’s indicative of a chain vet clinic Won’t ever be back And have never had such a bad experience in the many years of owning pets
Dr Wittenrich was wonderful. My corgi has extreme anxiety when it comes to visiting the vet. Dr Wittenrich personally called me before the appointment to discus the best approach for Boots. Because of the extra consideration and great plan her surgery went very well. They are true animal lovers at the clinic, and all the staff was so compaionate and helpful in working with my scared little dog.
My experience at Beattie was not a pleasant one I had to put my little yorkie down last month and had just ordered her allergy medication which she didn’t get to use. I asked to get a refund and after all the money I sent last month they refused to refund any money! It’s all about the money with them!! So sad!
Fantastic help,,,,, Awesome Vets,,And Saff,,, thanks always,,,,,!!!!????????
First visit was a disaster second even worse. Had a 6:00 appointment and it's been over an hour still waiting all for my dog to have his cone taken off and stitches out. Every Beatties location is trash. If I had the option to choose I wouldn't have chose Beatties. PetSmart cut my dog and this is the hospital they unfortunately use.
I do not recommend this facility to anyone. This company books 5 to 6 dogs in at the same time so they can make as much money as they can. Our appointment was for 10:30am today & we left there at 12pm. We were there for annual heart worm & tick/flea prevention meds. We also got mediation for a small rash she has & eye drops for a possible scratch she might have. $572; just over $300 for annual visit. I wanted to change vets for 2 years now but no one is taking on new patients due to covid. You can bet there were not 5 to 6 vets working on the 5 to 6 dogs they had booked in at same time today. I'd rather give my money to a small company than to this greedy corporation!
NexGard Spectra XL meds from Beatties are $65 dollars more for only 6 doses, than multiple online Canadian pet sources. Called to complain within the hour of appt. and get a refund, they wont take back an unopened box. You guys should be ashamed of charging $222.85 for six I'll be looking for a new vet! Funny... months later everyone gets a response to their positive responses...not me
Love love love Beatties! All our animals have been there and have always been well taken care of!
sadly had to put a loved member of our family down. they were very caring and compassionate.
I am grateful to Beattie Animal Hospital for providing such caring services for the end of life process for my 20 year old cat, Skatty. The staff are kind and caring. The fee for private cremation was affordable. The package provided by Gateway after the cremation is beautiful. I was able to bring Skatty's ashes home because of the value of the services. Highly recommended for any veterinary needs for your pets.
We love Beattie! My pup has been going there since day 1 and she loves the vets and staff. She was recently spayed and the whole experience was great. I was nervous but they explained it all as well as the healing process and our girl has healed 100% with a beautiful, clean scar and no complications. The best part is they have great hours that work with our schedule!
Thanks to Dr. Matt and his team for taking care of our sweet girl Gloria! All the staff is very caring and supportive.
Dr. Danielle H. (Bettie Animal Hospital,Burlington ON), is one of the least professional veterinarians for us . We brought our cat due to a lump and before even checking my cat she told us she was positive it was cancer (not once but several times) in front of my daughter . She could've just wait for the results and speak to us privately. Thankfully the results were good and our cat is ok. In a previous appointment my cat was so scared after they brought him back from a check up that he didn't stop peeing and vomiting, even after we brought him home from the check up, he was perfectly fine before. We never have the same vet, even after a couple of months the original vet is no longer working at this location, they have a large turnover. We are obviously never going back.
Our dog Ella started out 7 years ago at the stoney creek location and now she goes to the Burlington location . She has been well taken care of all of these years. During covid 19, they did everything possible to help with food and medication, and to keep us safe. Thank you Ray for all your time helping us out.
amazing services!
NOT a good Vet. Go elsewhere.
Usually quite good. Last visit had quite poor service. We showed up on time. They were late. Once in room had to wait addionally. Once the vet had seen us we were told payment would be accepted in the room and someone would be with us shortly. However we waited for over half an hour and no one came. My dog was stressing out being stuck in the room so I left and found the receptionist who was able to take my payment without any problem, so I am not sure why they would keep us waiting for no reason. Was not pleased with this visit and may shop around for other options.
I love this place for our 4 mth old puppy. We have been here for a "new puppy visit" when we first brought him home at 8 weeks, and his 12 and 16 week vaccinations. Also once when he had an upset tummy from something he ate. All 4 vets we saw really took the time to check him over and explain what was happening. Answered all our questions in great detail. I feel so happy that he is being really taken care of here. Our puppy also really loves the people here, so excited to see everyone, every time.
We took our dog Rocky recently to your hospital. I loved the experience. The Assistant at the front desk was amazing, kind and well informed, the technician that took our information, his name was Enrique was extremely nice and took down all the information we gave him. The doctor, Kelly, is absolutely great. We have know her from before, she took care of my son's cat and she is wonderful. Respectful, knowledgeable, caring, a great great doctor. We are very happy and grateful.
Worst customer service ever, Horrible pet hospital. I just call to find out information about my pet and the receptionist was so rude on the phone. I ask her why is she so rude and she denied service from my pet for his vaccines.
My family has taken 2 of our dogs there and today our cat. Each time, the vets and staff gave amazing care to our pets and were very friendly and professional with us. They refused to do anything invasive until non-invasive methods were tested, which saved us a tonne of money and our pets all recovered quickly. When my dog needed to be euthanized a few years later, she went painlessly and peacefully. Dr. Anna specifically is an amazing vet and I will be taking all of my pets to her in the future.
The doctor we saw did not consider why we were there with our pet. He kept insisting that the pet was not in pain. If we knew that my pet was in pain, I would have mentioned it.
Absolutely amazing clinic. We had an amazing first experience with our puppy here. All staff members and our vet were amazing. Highly recommend anyone looking for a vet to come here, very professional and very loving staff!!!
Excellent customer service!.... it's an amazing place!.... I just pass to ask something and I found an extraordinary people ready to help!... thanks.... Is now one of my favorite place!
Don't show up for your appointment on time. I usually have to wait a minimum 30-45 minutes before I can even drop off my dog. Customer care/interaction is average but don't expect them to be on time.
Excellent reception staff and very caring , personable, and informative, efficient veterinarians. Highly recommend. Superior to any previous veterinarians.
Dr matt is the best very caring to the fur babies he sees.
Wonderful friendly people from the minute we walked through the door. The entire staff seemed very knowledgable about their job. Dr. Matt is one of the nicest vets I have ever met. Showed compassion and made my dog feel very comfortable. Great place!
I can't say enough good things about this place. Great staff, great prices and extremely thorough... But not pushy! I would suggest this clinic to anyone owning a pet.
Great atmosphere for your dogs and decent prices. Employees seem dedicated to your pet
We found the receptionist very rude ignore had no patients with the customers what so ever because of this we will no longer take our pet here. There loss rather give another vet hospital our money and be treated very nice in person and by phone.
I called in today to see if any appointments were available for my sick dog. The receptionist was sarcastic and rude in her delivery and by saying 'WE NEED SOME COMMUNICATION HERE, help me out'. It would have been very easy for you to ask for my information instead of acting like a child by having a hissy fit. If you are the manager/owner of this and have recorded phone calls, I strongly suggest you pull my phone call. Absolute horrendous service.
Brought my kitten and was scratching her ear too much, Dr. Williams called me and informed me about the nasty infection, thank you so much for professionalism and caring, great service and prices too.
Always a pleasant visit (unless the candles on) staff is friendly and jolly. My pets LOVE going to the vets
Great hospital, very friendly staff. Calm environment for any pet.
I just switched vets and so far I'm very impressed with their customer service. I haven't seen the vet yet but they just called me to let me know they were running behind due to an emergency and I may be waiting. I'm super appreciative they took my time into consideration. Thank you Andrea!
New puppy experience to meet with the vet, good vibes all round. Just minutes away from home and who can resist a new puppy client.
Friendly staff, clean facilities.
Always eager to help, even if you just call in with a question for them!! The staff is amazing and prices are very reasonable for the level of expertise and service you receive!
Had bad service on my last visit, but the head vet called me directly and offered to make it right. In the end all is good, Beattie cares about their customers and their pets.
Very nice and sincere staff member when I had to put my belove car down the other week.
Never had anything but excellent service here. The staff and doctors are so knowledgable and kind and caring.
friendly staff, good value. Thanks for looking after our Bella !! Would recommend.
Attentive caring staff and reasonable pricing.
The staff at Beattie are amazing! Dr. Murphy is my favourite, she is very thorough and compassionate. Would highly recommend! Also the prices are so reasonable compared to other vets I've gone to, that's an added bonus! :)
Our regular vet, good service easy to get an appointment.
A vet at beatties is trying to extort money for unneeded heartworm treatement on a non domesticated breed. Very uneducated finanically driven vets here who also like to charge for forms they refuse to sign to make trouble for us if we choose to travel to a funeral abroad this service animal is needed to attend. Would not recommend to anyone who has a holistic approuch to animal care they would rather charge us thousands poision my dog and try and force us to let me keep him there and not only stress me who needs my service animal for health reason but also the animal.
Very skilled veterinarians and competitive prices. I take all my animals here
I was in there a few weeks ago met with a new vet there...Dr. Danielle Hong she was so great! Very friendly, easy to talk too and will be very pleased to see her again. Oreo and Akira say thanks for the cuddles !! Sincerely thanks for everything Bonnie ;)
Every time l go to Beattie Pet Hospital, the staff are always friendly and willing to help you out with any questions that you may have. The doctors are great with my cats, and l would recommend them to everyone. The service and care are amazing.
All Beattie cares about is making money - they charge you for unnecessary services and then they do the bare minimum. I have never had any of the vets go out of their way to show me they really care about my pets instead of rushing me out for the next patient. Every time I have questioned a service or a charge, I get spoken to like I’m a burden to the staff members (desk staff and vets). To make this place even worse, every time my pets go to their appointment, there is a new vet. They have no idea who my pets are and it’s like going to a brand new doctor every time. One of the vets was especially awful. He basically made me do all of the work even though he was the doctor. He kept saying “pick up your cat”, “pick up your dog”, “put him here”, “hold him here”, “you need to hold him better”, etc. That same vet also picked up a vaccination and asked me if it was for my cat or dog. My concerned response was obviously, “I don’t know, why don’t you tell me?” Shouldn’t he, the doctor, know that? If you are looking for a vet who cares about your specific animal and their unique history/needs, this is not the place for you.
We brought our pekingese puppy Jolie in for a procedure to get spayed and to fix her stenotic nares. We are so happy that Dr. Matt was there to take care of our little one. He put us at ease in the morning when we came in and told us how the procedure would go. Every time we've brought Jolie in, the staff and doctors have been extremely friendly and knowledgable. When we picked Jolie up, you could tell that the procedure on her nose had already made it easier for her to breathe. It's only been 3 days since the procedure and Jolie is already feeling much better which is a clear testament to how good Dr. Matt is with the animals and surgeries.
Very friendly people always a pleasure to go there and any questions u have
Yesterday I had an extremely poor experience at this pet hospital and I believe it needs to be shared so that others know what to expect. I brought my dog there at approximately 11:45 am. I asked if he could be looked at right away. One of the three girls at the counter helped me and explained that there was an open appointment at 12:20pm that would be free to book or I could pay $90 and have the dog looked at immediately. I opted for the emergency service as my dog seemed to be in discomfort. After giving her all my information I went to sit back down in the waiting area for 10 minutes which was acceptable. I was then greeted by a kid who either was a volunteer or an administrator. We went into one of the rooms with my dog and he asked me a series of questions about previous health issues etc etc. Never once did he look at or touch the dog. I asked him if he could bring in a bowl of water as the dog seemed to be panting and wining. This all took another 5 minutes or so. He said the doctor would be in shortly. Im good with all this and waited. Ten more minutes go by, the time is now 12:10 pm. I've been there for 25 minutes and no doctor, yet I paid for them to look at the dog right away. I walk out of the room to reception and ask where the Vet is. They say he will be there shortly. I told them that the dog needs attention and them that I paid for the Vet to see him right away. I also said it was going to cost me $90 and that I would have paid $300 for them to look at him right away. The mouthy girl proceeds to give me attitude and says "you are not my father" and the dogs is stable and the Vet will be in shortly. Up to this point nobody laid a hand on the dog, no temperature reading was done, no checking mouth or ears but she felt the dog was stable even though he was trembling, wining and panting. How it was determined he was stable is beyond me. I go back to the room and wit another 7 minutes, it is now 12:17pm, three minutes before the scheduled appointment I could have taken earlier. I grabbed my dog and walked out. I think this hospital is a joke. Staff had bad attitude, couldn't but tried to justify the extra charge when clearly they had no intention on giving attention to my dog right away. Obviously that money and misleading potential clients to add more money to your bottom line is better than making a new client and possibly having a good review. There are many good Vets in Burlington. Unfortunately mine was closed and I could not bring him there.
Great atmosphere, staff and doctors would definitely recommend . Prices very reasonable. Overall very caring
Overall was a great experience for both me and my vocal boy, Staff was friendly and informative. The clinic came well recommended to me from a number of my friends and associates, as I am new to this area. Thanks again
Customer friendly staff, reasonable pricing. Thumbs up !!
Please stop declawing cats!
Unorganized and pushy! 3x they've "forgotten" to send my dogs test results... I've had to administer 1 vaccine myself as the vet seemed intimidated of my dog.. as well I did have to lift all 75lbs of her onto the assessment table myself! Will not be returning!
Beatties pet hospital has been my go to vet for the past 4 years. I go everytime I need anything pet related. Today my dog had a terrible injury and we don't know what is wrong with him. He has been under my bed for 4 hours know, shaking, shivering, and whenever touching his left arm or shoulder he bites very very very hard. It is clear he has some sort of major injury. I called beatties pet hospital to resolve this issue and the earliest they can give me is friday. WHAT!!!?? My dog is gravely injured and I don't know what is wrong. And you can take me in 1 week? Please notice me and help resolve this issue!
They were so awesome when I took my fur baby in to get fixed so loving thanks guys
Absolutely amazing. My gigantic dog is terrified of going because he doesn't like getting his nails cut or needles. They put up with it and get the Job done
Great vet very friendly and very good to our dog
???????????????????? 5 stars Had to bring a friends Golden R Timber in to be assessed and unfortunately the decision was made to euthanize him. ???????????? The human element is very much alive at Beatties Their staff were kind, concerned considerate, accomadating, knowledgeable and all wore their hearts on their sleeves for Timber and myself. Many thanks for making a hard situation a great experience. In a day like today that personal touch is important more so than ever Beatties definitely has it. I hope they continue to express it. That's pure gold in my opinion ♥️♥️♥️
Very helpful and treat pets and owners with compassion. They all seem to love what they do.
My girlfriend highly recommended this clinic, and I just came from mine (and my new puppies) first appointment at Beattie Pet Hospital in Burlington. Staff were all very responsive and friendly, knowledgeable, and took great care to ensure our safety during this time of social distancing. Pricing was amazing, and they were super helpful with providing me with knowledge to make informed decisions. I would recommend them, and am looking forward to working with them over the next several years.
The Burlington Beatie location is terrible to deal waited for hours today regarding a issue my cat and never received one back I had to call them back . The clinic on Appleby Line at Mainway is only interested in the all mighty $$$$ and could care less about your pets . If you decide to use Beatie I strongly suggest driving to Stoney Creek or better than that their location in Brantford . STAY A AWAY FROM THE Burlington location Thank you
This hospital is amazing. They are full of love for your animals. They provide a wonderful overall experience from the reception to the technician to the vet. Never pushing for expensive options.
I’m so disgusted in this place. To allow a dog to live in pain for so long. And say they’re giving you pain meds. But it’s actually sleeping meds. Ridiculous!!! All this vet was about money making .. Where is the compassion for these animals that are loved so much by somebody ., isn’t that part of the job description? I do have to say there are some awesome Veterinarians out there. Very far a few in between but I am very grateful for Dr. Joseph for helping my boy get out of pain…. He has nothing to do with this disgraceful location… or other local BURLINGTON LOCATIONS all
We go to this Clinic just because Dr. Matt is great veterinary , he is patience and kind with our little ones, we follow him if he floats and works to other west clinic locations . However the Customer Service in Burlington varies from mediocre to worse. I have dealt with a lot of attitude and sometimes to get an appointment right takes 3 or 4 phone calls and speaking with a manager. This morning was not the first time that i encountered difficulties, that is the reason i decided to share my opinion We care a lot about our dogs and i hope the CS can listen to the customer' request, empathize a bit , not jump to cut the conversation , as a result entering wrong data or assuming something not requested.
AWFUL SERVICE!! Terrible people. My dog was booked for surgery, I waited one hour and the doctor never showed up! My dog is a puppy and he was anxious and dehydrated. Finally I decided to leave. POOR SERVICE AND VERY EXPENSIVE. They don’t care about the dogs, just about money and their business. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!
Wonderful staff very caring and helpful. They treat the pets as if they are their own!????
My cat was hit with a case of pancreatitis and I brought him to Beatties in the middle of the night. He had to stay at the clinic over night and they assured me that I could call and check in at any time the next day for updates. Between my 9-5 work day I called three times and was told that the vet would call me back and wasn’t given any further details about my cat’s potentially fatal condition. I only had the opportunity to check in on how he was doing after driving there after work and asking to see my cat. Very insensitive to an anxious and worried pet parent.
Great place to bring ur pet. Always friendly, on time, emergencies and anything else u can think off. Very compassionate when we had to put to sleep our last dog.
Every time i go the wait is never shorter then an hour and a half for a 3 min appointment. The staff Members lie and and are completely incompetent
My dog has been going to Dr. Murota for a long time, and I have had nothing but amazing experiences. The team genuinely cares about their patients. As someone who has a very nervous dog, who does not do great away from me, they make me feel very comfortable leaving him with them for curbside appointments. Dr. Murota is always incredibly thorough and so kind. Huge thank you to everyone involved in his appointment yesterday and thank you ALL for working during this crazy time.
This clinic is stellar. My cats have been seeing Dr Matt for years now and I have always found him to be incredibly knowledgeable, kind to both people and pets and he has a way with animals that truly sets him apart. I drive 30 minutes to get there, he is that good! The rest of the clinic staff are friendly and helpful and they are always on time. Prices are reasonable, too!
My family and I cannot express the gratitude we have for Dr. Murota and the team during this heartbreaking moment. We had to say goodbye to my 12yr old family cat named Puffball last night. He was suffering from cancer and at the end of his lifespan. I felt guilty and hesitant to make the decision but Dr. Murota gave me comfort I was doing the best thing for him. She explained all the steps in a professional manner. The doctor and the team were very empathetic, compassionate, and caring, and we are very grateful! Puffball passed calmly and peacefully! Thank you Puffball for bringing us 12 years of joy and wonderful memories. You'll be deeply missed and you'll be in our heart and soul forever!
Excellent care for my cat and me. Thank you for your expertise, kindness and compassion during this difficult time.
Top notch staff and doctors. Made us comfortable during a very difficult time. Highly recommended!
We have been to Beatties a few times with our 2 13 yr old boxers..One for surgery and check ups while the other was more for check ups blood work exrays etc.. Prices are very good.. Dr Matt is amazing and takes his time with you and makes your pet feel comfortable. In May we had to put down 1 of our boys and Dr Matt was very compassionate to us and very caring for our dog.. He took his time with us and we left there feeling we did the right thing for our boy.. Today June 25th we made the call for our other boxer to go and be with his brother. We decided to go with Beatties again and not our reg vet. as we knew how we and our boy would be treated by Dr Matt.. BUT!!!!!!!! unfortunately. Dr Matt was not in today and had another Dr. which made my husband and daughter feel like nothing.. He was not very compassionate or comforting, very cold about the procedure.. When he was done with the injection he walked out of the room and left my husband and daughter there. and said nothing.. My husband got him back in the room and asked him to check his heart..( Which Dr Matt stayed with us and injected our other boy and checked his heart to let us know he was gone.). It was not a comforting time for my family with this other Dr. which i do not know his name.. I think he should be trained to be a little more caring and compassionate to his clients especailly when you have to let your family fur baby go..So if you are thinking of using this hospital Make sure Dr Matt is on call at the time for any emergency that you may need.. I truely think he REALLY CARES.. He is the only Dr we have had so can't say about the other except for the one we had today. Feeling really angry, sad, that we were not treated better at a time of sorrow and grief..
Decent care but has definitely gone down hill. Expect to wait half an hour to an hour after your a a point mentioned for anything meaningful to happen. I have been waiting here for an hour on a follow up appointment for my dogs eye and I am yet to find out if it is any better or worse. My wife had the same experience a week or so ago
Best veterinary facility I’ve ever been to.
I am extremely please with Beattie Hospital, I have been with my one vet for serveral years but found when I got a new puppy the vet didn't like my questioning things eg. the tests, the results and other things in general ...it was rather frustrating as it has been while since I had a pup so you forget. I tried to stay loyal but my older dog needed care suddenly and tried to see the vet but they could not get me in?? funny they offer emergency appt. but I could see a vet. I called Beattie and got in the same day!! they were so nice, the vet was awesome!! and I could ask all kinds of questions and they didn't mind it ...it almost seemed like they actually loved it. I have now switched to them and wished I went sooner! Our animals are our family and going to Beattie Hospital is like going to an extended family in caring for your pets. It is clean, it is priced right and they treat you right as well! Oh if any of you reading this know Claire from Rockwood vet these guys are like her and I am so glad I finally found someone like her here in Burlington....just wish Beattie was here 12 years ago! So at ease knowing I have them as part of my pets family now...confidence is restored thanks to Beattie Hospital
Wonderful friendly place....Oscar was treated kindly and professionaly.....he can be quite a handful..lol
If I could give 0 stars-I would. A few months ago we had our beloved dog Kami at the Burlington clinic for a check up. The vet at that time (they are constantly changing) recommended that we take all 3 of our dogs off of the food that we were using- Blue Buffalo- and switch them to Natural Balance. This was a huge mistake as their coats all changed drastically and they were itchy. Kami our border collie/Bernese became ill. We went back to Beatties in Burlington and they wanted to do all kinds of testing. We ended up spending over $500 on blood panel work etc - to be told that she had a urinary tract infection. We were also told by a woman veterinarian there - that this was contagious and we should have out other dogs tested. My question to her was if a urinary tract infection was not contagious to humans- why would it be to animals? We were brushed off. My wife and I took Kami home and gave her the 2 weeks worth of pills that were prescribed by this woman. We also switched back to Blue Buffalo. Kami did improve, and seemed to go back to her old self. I also want to say that our girl- was only 7 years old and we are have always maintained the health of all of our fur babies. Last Saturday (labor day long weekend) Kami started to act differently i the AM. She didn't want her cookie and when she went outside- was vomiting. She also just wanted to lay beside me. This happened a few more times- and mid afternoon I called the vet's office and was told that there was no appointments available until Sunday at 11:30 AM. I opted to take that appointment as it was first available. - I called again telling them that this was an emergency- Kami was getting worse. I was told that I could have an appointment at midnight is Stoney Creek. This is not our vet and I was not comfortable going there. At 7pm I called again - only to be told that Burlington office was closed now- they were supposed to be open until 8pm and that only the Dr was there doing paperwork. I asked if we could drive there and see him for a few minutes to help Kami. They said that would not be possible. As the night progressed Kami got worse. She couldn't even keep water down. We started searching and found a vet hospital open close to home. I called and they said bring her right in. After extensive testing it was determined that she was dehydrated (we knew that) and she possibly had a kidney issue. This was determined by blood panel testing. The same testing she had had- 6 weeks prior. We were given pills, Kami was given a hydrapac between her shoulders to re hydrate her, and 2 needles, as she was not in pain- but discomfort. By the time we got home- it was 2:30AM. Kami laid on the couch and we went to bed. An hour later- we heard her crying and my wife went downstairs figuring she had to go to the bathroom. Kami could not get up. We called the hospital again and was told to bring her back immediately. The hospital is 6km away from our home. By the time we arrived- Kami's kidneys had shut down and her veins had collapsed. She was in so much pain - that we had no choice but to let her go. This last week- has been hell on my wife and I as we have lost our beautiful girl. Not to mention we received a close to $2000 bill for our ordeal. On Sunday I called and asked to speak to a manager at Beatties as I feel that this would not have happened - if they had made the time to see her in the afternoon. So here we are - a week later and I am still waiting for the call back. Beatties used to be an amazing place to take your furbabies- they were the best in Southern Ontario. My wife and I have been customers of theirs for well over 25 years- starting in Brantford. Beatties- you have lost our business. We will search for another veterinarian that cares about their patients. So thank you Beattie for not doing your job, and for not caring about your long time patients- and for helping us to realize what you truly stand for. And don't bother giving us a call back after reading this-you are too late. RIP Kami you will be missed. xoxo

Always fast, friendly and efficient. The people are great here.
I have been bringing all my pets to Beattie for a few years. My son was supposed to be going on an excursion from March until September and he was going to take one of our dogs. At my dogs appointment in November I mentioned this and enquires about buying his flea and tick medication a head of time so I could give it to my son. I was told at that appointment that I could purchase it then and so I did. As per Beattie we always start our pets on their flea and tick medication on June 1. Due to Covid my sons trip was cancelled and so I went to give our dog his medication noticing the one package expires August 2020. The other one is August 2021. The package has not been opened and I went to exchange it but was told they wouldn’t exchange it even if I just bought it. There is no exchange for medication. She than asked the doctor if this would still work with an expiration date of Aug 2020 but informed me the doctor could not guarantee that it would work. The only suggestion she could make was to repurchase it. I did explain that I was a single parent who is the sole provider in my home and unfortunately with Covid my hours were deducted 40%. Even with this there was nothing she or anyone else could do to help me out. I guess in this horrible time Beattie would sooner take advantage of a single sole provider parent than take back a product they should not have sold me. And being a single parent I thought buying it because I had the money and was advised by the Beattie team that it would be fine. If Beattie is hurting that bad that they must charge me again than so be it.
Back being happy with your service and wait times.
Very friendly staff. They took the time to explain everything I needed to know. Everything look good so far. I'm happy I picked Beattie pet Hospital. I already referred two of my friends with their pets there. Very happy with their service and the price was reasonable as well.
Best little animal hospital. Good prices too.
They were quick, affective, polite. Dr Matt was informative. I would recommend this animal hospital to others thank you
Everyone here is amazing. Both my pups come here always great service. My pup Charlie ate a sock and they successfully got him to bring it up after 24hrs. Huge thanks to the employees and vets.
I have two dog's that I have just switched to see Beattie's animal hospital in Burlington. I have been completely satisfied with each visit as the staff and doctor's are always so pleasant and kind. The prices are much much better then my last vet and any other animal hospitals around. I did my research and Beattie's was the best! They always offer appointments that meet my needs as I work full time. Will highly recommend to others.
Normally this vet has been pretty good but my last experience was far from it.. a new vet i’ve never seen was in. We asked for a check up as our dog had never had one before, she also had an issue with her eye so we asked for a look at that. Immediately she checked her eye and we did get good advice on that problem but she skipped routine vet practices! No vitals taken, didn’t look at her teeth, didn’t recommend any ways to help with her weight problem. I am disappointed as i am paying over $60 you can at least look her over to make sure she is healthy especially as this is the first time my dog has been to the vet since we got her!
Staff need people skills
We have always valued the services and staff at Beattie for the past 12 years. We continually recommend friends to go here as we have always found the staff to be so friendly and truly care about our pets as well as provide excellent service at a reasonable cost. Keep up the great work!
We took our dog to the burlington location the nurses were very nice and i feel bad for them as they seemed to be having a hard time aswell with the situation and how it ended up. However having to put down your dog is a hard enough ordeal but the vet didnt make sure the iv was properly in his vains before injecting him to put him down. My dog yelp as he pushed the fluid in very quickly my dog was a 70lbs dog and it was a big syringe of fluid to push that fast. The vet made the experience even worse than it had to be after giving him two injections that did not do anything due to the fact that he did not check to ensure the needle was in the proper place we ended up having to do another round of injections this time trying in a different leg and then finally the last in his back leg. Something that should have just made him go to sleep right away ended up 6 injections later which should have only been two simple injections into the iv he was finally gone. This is an aweful and heart breaking experience to begin with but this was made to be a way worse experience than it needed to be. My heart is broken and this vet made it worse by not doing something so simple as to ensure the iv was properly in place. I will never take any future pets back to them. Worst experience ever and the worst part is after the first one didnt work the vet left the room and sent in the nurses to handle it and wouldnt say anything.
A friend recommended Beattie's to me. I am so glad I listened to them. They have been great with my new puppy and me! They have very friendly staff who always greet you with a smile! The Vet's and assistants are patient and helpful. Thank you Beattie's!
I take advantage of the multiple locations for boarding and care. Haven't met a Vet there I didn't like. You can request a favourite as well if you wish. Great staff for boarding, and they try their best to accommodate. I trust them with my 3 monsters.
Clean friendly environment. Was able to book same day appointment which was good!
Just heard from a co worker a horrifying story. As her family brought in their dog and unfortunately due to his age condition they had to put the dog down. However the vet gave him the shot in his front paw in which there is no vain the dog was In pain and suffered during the entire time. The doctor did not care even though the nurses who did a great job and were fantastic were telling him to give the shot in the back paw where there was a vain ! Management has done Nothing about the situation and refuse to acknowledge that there vet caused unnecessary suffering. ( I would also like to add that it took 3 shots to actually put the dog down ) ! Very unethical
You may have read two of the previous reviews about a dog being put to sleep. Well I would like to tell you that this happened to me. It is a very hard decision to let your pet go but you must think of your pet and not let them suffer needlessly. It was with a very sad and heavy heart that we decided to end his pain. We took him to the Beatttie pet hospital on December 28th during the day and everyone was so nice. They said they wanted to do test and keep him to see what was wrong. They called us and told us we could pick him up that night only to find out he could not walk and they didn't know if he would ever walk again. So this is when the decision was made to put him to sleep. The doctor gave us some time and then came in to do it and when he did he pushed the solution in way too fast and caused the dog to yelp in pain, and he also blew the vein so the medication did not work. The doctor seeing that it did not work looked at me and said this is not my fault. I did nothing wrong. Well I'll be damned if it was my fault or my poor dog's fault. He then preceded to inject him one more time in the same paw....DAH!!! of course it did not work properly and his breathing slowed but he did not go to sleep. He then wanted to try his other front paw although the vet assistant said she felt they should try the back paw. They could not find a vein in his front paw so then HAD to do the back paw and in all this time causing undue stress to my dog and the family. He then left my dog in this condition for 15 minutes suffering and when he returned did not even give him the final injection, he made the vet assistant finish his botched up job. After the final injection my poor baby boy was finally at peace. This Doctor should never have left for 15 minutes and he should not have made that poor girl finish his job.The vet assistant and the other girl who was helping kept apologizing to us and saying this should not have happened. They were also very upset about all that went down that night. They have called me since but have done nothing , they only make excuses for what happened. So if you have a pet you love ...do yourself a favour and don't take it to Beattie Pet Hospital in Burlington. He should not be allowed to be a vet and I would never recommend this hospital to anyone. To UPDATE After having to have Prince put to sleep and the Dr. totally botching the job, I called the Manager of Beattie who then spoke to her Boss about what I told her. He called me on January 2nd and asked me to tell him what happened which I did. He said he was going to get the Dr. to write a letter about what happened and send it to me the following week and that he would follow up.We will see if he bothers to follow up. Today January 19th I received the letter and it is filled with nothing but lies. Myself and my daughters stayed with Prince through the process and we all know what happened. DON'T LIE TO US. YOU ARE TO BLAME AND YOU NEED TO STEP UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE SCREW UP AND THE TORTURE OF PRINCE. BEATTIE PET HOSPITAL is trying to cover their butts now. PLEASE DO YOURSELF AND YOUR PET A FAVOUR AND DO NOT TAKE THEM THERE.
