I don't understand the scathing reviews below. When I read reviews like this I genuinely question the mental health of those who are writing them. My standards are VERY high in terms of my cats health care. I have had nothing but good experiences at this clinic so far. They have even given me free advise off the clock without hesitation. My ONLY issue is how expensive they are.

Went in with a very sick pet rat who looked like he was on deaths doorstep. They were the only vet open on a holiday who was willing to try and help. Dr Singh admitted he rarely saw rats and had textbooks out the whole time, asking questions and making observations, while being very gentle with the little patient. My rat left with meds and is fine and healthy now, almost fully recovered, all thanks to this vet who was willing to try. Also, shout out to the receptionist/vet assistant. I didn't catch her name. Brunette with a ponytail. She was a great comfort on the phone and in person.

I had been going to an animal hospital located a few blocks from where I lived for over 10 years. Little by little, their prices increased. Since my budget is quite limited, I asked them for a seniors discount. They just would not work with me no matter what I proposed. After all those years of going to them, I felt they were more concerned with the money than with little Damn-it Riley. I felt he deserved better. I started going through the phone book and paying attention to online reviews. When I called Bayview, they were very up front and open about the cost, the procedure and and what to expect. The reviews were excellent so that's where we went. They were very good with us. Damn-it Riley had to have four of his little front teeth out. They gave us some pain killers for him and that's when I discovered I had a budding drug addict on my hands. I thought he was going to eat the syringe the pain killer was in. I really liked the painkiller too because he would sleep for 2 hours straight and not bug me, at all, for anything, for 2 whole hours. I would highly recommend Bayview Park Animal Hospital to anyone. they really do care about their patients. You can't ask for better hours even on weekends. And as a bonus for me, they're located on the Burlington Bus Route near the GO Station.

Completely clueless care. Strong Armed me into seeking treatment for my dog by calling the SPCA cops and telling them he demanded we get an x-ray, after letting us leave without such a demand being communicated. Made the most traumatic event of my life (my pets injury) 1000x worse. The way he handled my dog has let her extremely afraid, even of me. Please, this man is scum.

Bayview has always gotten my dog in within a timely manner, which I appreciate. My 1-star review is because I'm really upset with being overcharged during my last visit. After reading several reviews, it seems like they price gauge. My dog vomited a few times over the past week. We took him in yesterday (Monday) and let them know that the last time he vomited was Saturday after his breakfast, but was otherwise acting fine. He had since kept down his next 3 meals and was fine that day. The vet did tests, and gave my dog an anti-nausea injection. I got my results on the phone today (everything is fine!). They asked if I wanted to pick up more anti nausea pills. I said no (since he's fine and had kept down 2 more meals) and I asked about the injection, since the cost was $100. I asked the vet why the shot was given, since my dog hadn't vomited for 48 hours and was fine the day of the appointment. It wasn't like he was puking there and they needed to stop it. I said it seems the shot wasn't necessary, and the $100 cost wasn't communicated to us before it was done. The vet could not come up with an explanation as to why the shot was necessary, and just said "we told you we were going to give him a shot" and apologized for the miscommunication. This "miscommunication" cost me $100 + HST, and it appears the shot wasn't needed. I will not be going back to this vet. Edited to add that they called me to speak about this review, said they were told my dog was vomiting every day for 7 days straight, was sick that day, and received consent for the cost of the injection before it was given. When I told her that this was not true (and reiterated what was said), she wouldn't listen and just kept stating her position. It's apparent their customer service when someone expresses dissatisfaction is horrible.

Very poor experience today. Took my old cat in for his vaccination and was met with a locked door and treated like I had the plague. I was told to call them for the consultation even though I was standing right there. A sign on the door stated one could not accompany their animal into the clinic. They sure wouldn’t have had a problem taking my money though! Will be getting a new vet. These are not even government mandated COVID regulations. I had two phone conversations to set up the appointment and this could have been explained to me then rather than leaving me standing outside in the hot sun with an old cat in his carrier.

Dr. Singh and Dr. Jindal are both very professional and have amazing advice regarding veteranry questions. We've have been going here with my pet for 7 months and by far the best vet to visit in Burlington. The prices are very affordable and amazing care is given. The receptionists are also very friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic people to deal with and take great care of our pets

I have been a client for 3.5 years and rarely review any service I receive but because it's our pets, very important family members in our small human family, I'm reviewing for potential clients because vet care is so important. I couldn't be more honest when I say this clinic is extraordinary. Every single staff member and a shout out to the vets as my recent dog had her spay and her incision was perfect. I mean perfect and no infections or complications as she isn't a puppy I was prepared for at least an infection. They truly are a wonderful clinic and I cannot say enough about them. This is a very sincere review and I'm not easy to please when it comes to our pets. Jill Harrington

Both Vets and Sadie at the front desk are a pleasure to deal with. No unnecessary tests etc. Had our dog neutered here no issues at all. Highly recommended.

The staff is so caring and compassionate here. They worked with me to try so hard to get my beloved Bert healthy again, but his time had come to pass on. I will be forever grateful to the staff, especially Dr. Singh, Sadie and Holly. They loved Bert and took so much time to give him the care he deserved. So, from the bottom of my heart, thanks for everything you did for me, Ryan and especially my beloved Bert all the way until the end. They also discounted and tried to save me money where I could. Affordable and knowledgeable staff. Much love, Aileen ❤️

Unprofessional. Offered our dog dangerous drugs for her condition, and after we wrote a complaint they claimed we never mentioned a thing about her condition and went on to try and claim that we were abusing / neglecting our dog for years, when in fact we had rescued her only a month ago. Caused an enormous amount of stress for our family. We go to Southside now: they are extremely courteous and make me feel like my dog is loved and my choices are respected. It isn't worth it to choose the cheapest vet.

We had an issue with our dog’s health, contacted a few clinics in the area and this was by far the most welcoming one: They open 7 days a week, and have appointments during the evenings. We were able to get a next day appointment, process was very straight forward even which Covid precautions. The doctor was very understanding, knowledgeable and not in a rush. Explained all the possible causes of our dog’s health issue, performed the physical exam and came back to us with the most probable cause and a plan that included diagnostic and treatment. No unnecessary studies were pushed and differential diagnoses were explained and ruled out after the assessment was done. I will definitely recommend this clinic to others and for sure we will be taking our dog back to get his shots when they are due as well as any other health issue that might come up.

Great Care, friendly staff. This animal hospital is about the client (owner and pet) and not only about the business. Dr Singh is very knowledgeable. I do recommend this place.

We have been using this vet for just under two years now - the initial attraction was the extended hours which better suited our reality. What has kept us here is the excellent care both of our dogs receive. The staff are always accommodating, even at short notice, and last night we had the need to use the emergency service for the first time. Within 20 minutes of our call we were met at the office and Angel received the care she needed. What makes this vet different to most is that there is not an additional charge for the after hours support - the care of the animal is valued over the revenue. Charges for all services and medication have been very reasonable compared to previous vets. I highly recommend this animal hospital

The doctor seems like he knows what he's doing but in reality he doesn't. And in results assisted in the death of my cat due to lack of professionalism and common sense.

Unfortunately I had a very disappointing experience with this vet clinic. I am new to the area and was looking for a vet close to my home and decided to give Bayview Park Animal Hospital a try. Here are my notes: 1. Poor Housekeeping: When I walked in there were opened boxes in front of their product shelves very much in the way of a decent portion of their entrance and reception area. The examination room was not cleaned before we were brought in, a ton of pet hair from multiple pets all over the floor and some on the examination table as well. 2. Disorganized Staff: Despite having an appointment confirmation via email, when I arrived for the appointment they couldn't find it in their system, and then found it was put in the system a few weeks from the confirmed appointment date. They still took me that day but I had to wait about a half hour which was inconvenient. After that I emailed them back to cancel the follow up appointment they had scheduled at the end of the visit as well as the appointments I had made for my other cats and I didn't receive a response. The day before those appointments I received a voicemail from the clinic reminding me of the appointment. So they can't keep track of booking appointments or canceling appointments apparently. 3. I found the vet to be rude and negative. He made rude comments to me and some accusatory remarks when I asked questions or said I wasn't aware of things he had recommended as if I should know everything and was a terrible pet owner. His assistant also grabbed my cat's belly on her way out of the room and said "you need to lose weight!" which I found distasteful and unnecessary. I think the vet and some, if not most of the staff have a toxic mentality. My only compliment for this clinic is their prices are on the lower end of the other quotes I had received for vets in the area, but in my opinion, this is definitely a case of "you get what you pay for". Luckily I found another vet which I've had an amazing experience with and will continue to go to as long as I live in the area.

I live in Hamilton and still travel to Burlington to bring my dog to Bayview Park. I have been going there for about 6 yrs now. Dr. Singh initially helped me out when my dog needed surgery due bladder stones but. Both doctors have been on top of it ever since. That whole office is so kind and work within my budget. They don't push for me to spend more than I can afford. They are simply wonderful.

When we brought our girl, belle in, she wasn't eating or drinking. She was in bad shape. But thanks to the doctor there ,he saved her saved her life. We are so thankful for everything thing they did. Thank you so so much!

This is a great animal hospital and highly recommended! The staff are great and really do care about the well being of the animals. They saved our cat when he was ill and did not push any procedures on us. One of the staff even laid with our dog after he was neutered so he wouldn't wake up alone!! Truly, all staff members are caring and compassionate!

My first experience with the hospital was very positive. The doctor was very knowledgeable, very gentle with my cat (my cat felt very comfortable around him). However, the last couple of times I brought my cat for emergency check up, I had a different vet. He was NOT helpful at all. They tried to convince me to perform all these unnecessary tests that would cost me a fortune and couldn't identify obvious issues. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Our 6 month old puppy got sick during the holidays, loss of appetite, extra sleepy and some vomiting but otherwise lively and excitable. We chose Bayview Park as it was the closest vet to us and are so glad we did. Dr Singh and his staff were lovely and offered different treatment options. After a few visits and trying different medications (my informed choices) we got xrays done and found he had a foreign object in his stomach and intestines. Being new years eve, the clinic was closing for the day and would be closed the next day so Dr Singh and Matthew called so many different hospitals until they found a spot for our puppy. They organized everything and made this very stressful experience as easy as possible. I cannot express how grateful I am that they continued with this even after the clinic was meant to be closed instead of leaving us to fend for ourselves. We had a similar situation a while back and calling around to find a hospital with availability was so hard, so I so appreciate this being taken out of my hands. We took our puppy for emergency surgery and just got the call that it was a big success, a piece of nylabone was caught in his belly. Thank you so much to the team at Bayview Park for making an awful situation as easy as possible and we will see you again for hopefully just regular checkups! I did have one appointment with the other vet who was also lovely but I'm so sorry I was distressed and did not Remeber his name. 10/10 recommend Bayview Park 0/10 recommend nylabone

Brought my 1.5 yr old puppy to see the vet there because she lost her sight. He did not recognize that it was an emergency and required emergency surgery. Instead he referred to an eye vet 3 weeks later. My puppy had retinal detachments in both eyes. These Vet's can not recognize emergencies that are time limited. Very bad professional knowledge. The Vet didnt care to even call and inquire how my puppy was doing after 2 surgeries. Would never trust these Vet's again. Go somewhere that they can recognize emergencies. Not this place.

I have been to many vets over the years, and I can say that Bayview Park Animal Hospital is by far the best. From their friendly staff to their very passionate and knowledgeable veterinarians every experience is a great experience. My 8 month old puppy is probably the only dog I have witnessed, that loves going to the vet. She runs in happier than ever to greet all the staff and the Vets, they welcome her with open arms as if she is a part of the family. I always leave feeling confident about our visit, no unanswered questions or doubts. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone! Thank you!

We have an older lab. Over his lifetime, he has always had issues with ear infections. He also has arthritis, and other ailments associated with age. We have done everything with him on the advice (costly advice & treatments) of other vets, topicals, dietary restrictions etc. etc. We were referred to Bayview by our son (he brings his dog to this vet). The staff at this office, are warm and friendly (Matthew, you have an exceptional way with grumpy old dogs - thank you). More importantly, our dog was finally diagnosed correctly. We have watched him suffer during these repeated ear infections over the course of 11 years, frustrated with treatments that did not work well (if at all) - $$$$!. Finally, our dog is without an ear infection. What a different animal - back to his regular happy self (less grumpy). AND we also know how and why this has been happening. Thank you.

Very compassionate care !

Wonderful place! Very attentive and dedicated to my dog. Only provides services that are necessary and presents you with all options. Dr. Grewal is definately amazing! Would recommend this clinic to anyone in need.

This place is abhorrent. We have a sick hamster and called them to ask if they would take our pet as we did not know what was wrong with our guy. They said they would and we booked an appointment for Wednesday, May 1st at 6 PM. A lot of diseases with hamsters are fast-acting so we were glad to get an appointment relatively soon after calling. Then today (Wednesday, May 1st) 2 hours before our appointment they called to say “they are not taking any more clients at this time.” After begging them to honour their word and take us because it had already been a few days since we booked our appointment and our hamster wasn’t doing well, we were told that “the vet doesn’t even take hamsters.” WHAT? So their argument is that their front desk staff doesn’t even know what animals they take and just tells clients that they can handle their pet? What a load of bull…. If that is actually the case, in what world would it be appropriate to book us in for an appointment? And then at no point in the following days bother to call us and let us know we’d been lied to? This is absolutely pathetic and we are now forced to wait an additional number of days to take it to a semi-affordable clinic. Thanks a lot Bayview, you absolutely screwed us. I realize that not every interaction with a consumer will be pleasant, but this isn’t about bad customer service or anything like that. They literally booked us for an appointment to help with our pet that they couldn’t even do. And then throughout all this, they did not seem to care at all that they had put us in this position and their attitude throughout was just pathetic. If you want to make sure your pet has an appointment I cannot recommend enough that you go somewhere else, as this place seems to have no problem calling you last minute to let you know they can’t help.

Ryan Gray

Absolutely amazing vet. All the staff are great and have the best interest of you and your pet in mind. We unfortunately just had to put down our cat but they did everything they could to help us make Bert better and then help us with cost. Highly recommend this vet to anyone.

We brought our dogs, Willow and Colby in... the staff and Vets here were just amazing. They did a great job with Willow' spaying and took such good care of her!! Colby has anxiety and they were so gentle and accommodating with him, that it was downright Heart Warming. The Vet who took the xrays, was WAY more than accommodating - he was so amazing and generous! I can personally vouche that Vet Singh cares more about the animals and their health, above ALL else!! My wife and I would full reccomend Bayview to anyone and we will absolutely be returning. Staff: 5 stars Vets: 5 stars Services: 5 stars Quality: 5 stars Overall Experiance: 5 stars

Saved me money on unnecessary dental surgery another vet recommended. As reviews show, he cares about the comfort of all pets brought into his office, and he was as gentle with my cat as possible when administering his rabies vaccination, and other visual examination. I came just to find the cheapest place to get a rabies vaccination for a dental surgery another vet recommended, and this turned out to be a "second opinion" situation: he said the tooth is fine. Update, however: the tooth is now broken and will require surgery, but that's because of dry food (that's also making him obese), and I'm now moving to wet cat food. Main thing: he rejected making an easy few hundred bucks out of personal ethics, and that's the sign of a good vet.

Edi Melvic

Friendly staff, thank you so much for helping my pet ❤️

My pet and I have always had a pleasant experience at Bayview Park Animal Hospital and with Dr. Singh. Dr.Singh, is always there to help and is very good with puppies

Charlene A

Would give them a 0 if it was possible. It is painfully clear this company only cares about making money. Front staff are not aware of what pets they take or if they are allowed to book in new patients. It may be a cheaper option but it is not worth it. If you want your pet taken care of by vets that genuinely care about animals do not take them here.
