DO NOT bring your sick animals to Dr. Phillip Carbert. He doesn't know how to diagnose. He will tell you without using active listening skills, asking right questions and deductive logic, that your pet needs a blood work, and after x-rays and perhaps more tests. I spent almost $700 for all the tests just to get a wrong antibiotic that made my animal feel even worse.

If there was a way to give a lower rating then one star I would. I am absolutely appalled at how my cat was mistreated. While the vet was very attentive, kind and thoughtful the service at this clinic was just atrocious! When I went to pick up my kitten who had gone in to be spade she was covered in her own urine shaking and mortified. When I brought this to their attention they simply asked if I'd like some paper towel. I then asked why there was no take home sheet to which she replied "oh that's weird". Confused and extremely upset I then asked kindly if I should purchase a cone as I was worried she may rip out her own stitches. Their response to this was "well is she a licker?" She then followed with "her IV may still be in her arm so you might have to pull that out later." My cat is now recovering ok but as you can imagine we are both very stressed after such an awful experience. If you care about your animal at all you may think twice before visiting this clinic! ...and in response to their reply below: While I appreciate your response it does not change the fact that I was not given a form with instructions of how to care for her when she returned home. I was told there "may" be an IV left in her arm which I'd have to remove myself. Most of my questions and concerns were answered extremely unprofessionally and I now must take her to her vet Yaletown Pet Hospital as soon as we return to Vancouver for a thorough check up as I'm not confident she is in fact ok after this procedure. Bella is well cared for at home ..her ear mites as the vet and I had agreed upon and concluded were most likely from when she had been rescued from Armstrong. I left your clinic crying yesterday and this has been a traumatic experience for Bella. ????????

Very disappointed. I'm new to Vernon and recently registered my dog with this vet two months ago. I called to request for an appointment because my dog had a minor emergency. They were unable to help me on the call because they could not book an appointment for me and said they would call back right away. After two hours, I called again and the answering service was not working and it just hangs up on you. They finally called me back only to tell me to go somewhere else as they are not taking new clients. When I told them I already registered my K-9 with them, they said sorry but to go elsewhere because they are full. Over all, very unprofessional, rude, and unorganised. It's unfortunate but there are other vets in town who are far more friendly and professional.

These guys are great! I have brought my pets here for about 6 years, and he staff have always been amazing, even though some of my pets were pretty difficult to deal with. They don't try to push any extra treatment, but they do advocate for their fuzzy patients when they feel that a certain course of treatment is needed. I would highly recommend this clinic.

However ...had a series of tests (that cost way to much I might add) and had absolutely no solution as to why my dog was "screaming in pain" when I brought him in. For a shot of Medicam that costs around $13 they charged me over $250. I paid the bill for the love of my boy and would have paid all the $ I have to help him. I didn't get to far down the road when I received a phone call regarding their error and I was refunded immediately. So although there is a lot more to the story the long and short of it is,neither fully happy or completely dissatisfied.

I took my cat in on the recommendation from my landlord. I was starting to get desperate about the lump on my cat's nose, and after talking to him about the how much two other vet clinics were going to charge me for removal, he told me to visit this clinic. I am so glad I did. Dr Lemiski saw my cat Spencer and said, with the confidence I expect from a vet, that he would be able to remove the lump at the clinic. He left the exam room, and came back with an itemize list of what he would be doing. I was surprised and grateful. The other 2 vets quoted me $5,000 (undue testing that I felt was a money grab) and another $1,400.00(still too much). Dr Lemiski came back with a $370 quote or a $500 quote to send the lump for testing. The staff at the desk were amazing to accommodate Spencer and I on a Thursday to have it done. I dropped him off and picked him up in the afternoon. They were caring and reassuring, the bill came exactly to what was quoted, no surprises. They made sure I knew how to care for Spencer and what to look for incase the stitches came undone. I couldn't have asked for better care for my cat and for myself. I left there without the feeling that they were going to cause Spencer and me undo stress. They were so reassuring. And as for my Spencer, he is healing very nicely and looking for extra cuddles. If you need a vet, I can honestly recommend the team at Vernon Vet Clinic.

Overpriced as all the veterinary clinics in Vernon are. I wish something could be done about veterinary costs. However, staff is always very helpful and friendly. They have helped with follow up information on the telephone and texting. I have found the 2 vets I've been to, considerate of high costs and sensitive to this. It would be nice if there were some lower cost vets in Vernon to help those who aren't millionaires but still adore their beloved pets. However, I find the setting attractive here and clean and the people caring.

Vernon veterinary clinic is amazing, I had very sick kittens that needed more care than I could give them, they took the mom and the kittens to place them with a foster, and handled things with the humane society, I was scared and didn't know what to do, they took care of everything, all I had to do was drop them off, I wish I would have done that a day earlier as I had lost 1 kitten, thank you for all your help, and care, they went above and beyond, they really are patient first. Although I wasn't able to find out how the kittens were doing after, I am confident in their ability to help the kittens.

Horrible experience. Did a piss poor job of stitching my dog back together then would not accept responsibility for the wound reopening shortly after. Tried pinning the blame on me as improper care to allow them to charge me for a second operation to fix their bad surgery. Dont trust these guys they act all nice but their a bunch of cons.

Everything I wanted in a Veterinary clinic. Staff was warm, friendly and answered all of my questions thoughtfully. Our appointment was with Dr. Frayn who was fantastic. Dr. Frayn displayed high emotional IQ when interacting with my dog who is normally very shy with strangers. She made him feel calm and treated him with the utmost respect. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone and specifically Dr. Frayn, her professionalism blew me away.

At Vernon Veterinary Clinic they are kind and compassionate and the staff all care deeply about animals and their well being. Their price quotes are always very accurate and they are so helpful!! We took our cat in to see Dr. Will because he was vomiting. After numerous procedures; blood work and x-rays he could not figure out what was wrong with our cat. Our bill was over $700.00 with no resolution. A month later our cat puked up an 8" live roundworm!! You would think that this Dr. would have realized that could have been our cats problem especially since his symptoms were exactly the same as having worms. If he would have looked at his records he should have seen that our cat needed to be de-wormed since it had been a year since his last de-worming pill. It caused our cat unnecessary pain and suffering as well as an unnecessary outrageous bill. We have taken our pets to Vernon Vet Clinic since 1991 and will no longer be using them.

Was clear and concise about everything we needed to do, and very calming, which is an absolute requirement when dealing with people's pets. Excellent place to get your furbaby looked at. Impossible to get through by phone. "Line Busy" for the last 10 attempts, and this is what happens nearly every time I try to call, regardless of day or time. Some months back the clinic misdiagnosed a lump on my pet as being cancerous, resulting in a nearly $1500 operation for removal, only to find out after the fact that it was nothing more than scar tissue. An emotional rollercoaster all around (how do you misdiagnose something THAT important?!?!?!) and a huge amount of money thrown away for nothing. Didn't hear so much as a single "sorry." Not professional in the least.
