Excellent service with performing surgery on my dog
Dr. Ross cares a lot about her patients and her clients. When it comes to vets, you get what you pay for. They wont ever rush you out, and they will ensure you have your questions answered. They always go above and beyond. The staff know treat me like a friend and my pets like family. Hearing them speak about other cases they have shown a lot of empathy... they don't treat animals like numbers. I have gone to other clinics while I lived away from Chilliwack and have always been grateful to come back here.
I was very pleased to find out that my dog was misdiagnosed at another veterinarian clinic on Thomas Road. The veterinarian here reassured me that his heart and lungs were fine and I was very impressed with the care and honestly I received. And it is a very nice comfortable office... thank you
Never go here unless you hate your pets.
Great service friendly staff and the vets are not pushy on procedures. Right now covid procedures are in place so your dog goes in while you stay outside. This was ok for me but if your dog is super anxious about leaving you it could be tricky.
Doctors & Staff at Vedder Mountain Clinic I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how much I appreciate your clinic and the great personal attention my dog, Romeo, gets when we bring him in. Actually, we also get great personal attention, too, as you are so good at explaining things (and showing pictures if necessary!) when issues come up for Romeo. And you always give options, too, which make decisions a lot easier to make. Our pets are our family members and I would highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone. Thank You
The staff here are very caring about their clients and are an amazing clinic in general. Would highly recommend coming here :)
Let me share my experience, i have had many traumatic experiences at Vet Clinics, but the minute i stepped in to the Vedder Mountain Clinic o felt my lovely Cat Kiwi was in such great hands, they made my partner and i feel so comfortable and secure with everything they were doing. We have a very anxious cat, and even with her fears around being outside and being handled by new people, they took care of our cat so well! They are the only clinic i will go too! HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!
The staff and Doctors at VMV are amazing. They have, time and time again, shown my dog top tier care. They go out of their way to ensure customers and animals are comfortable. For me specifically they have gone above and beyond, even staying late, coming in early, or working in off hours, in order to get my animal the care he needed. We can't say enough about these guys!!!
My dog had dislocated her hip, we took her in to Vedder Mountain, they did Xrays and had to sedate her, and gave her pain killers, which cost us 450$ then gave us our dog back without dealing with the issue. We waited for 24 hours and then I had to call and ask myself about what is going on. I was told my dog needed a surgery and that it can be scheduled in over 3 weeks. This was not an option, of course, as my dog was in pain, couldn't walk, go potty and someone had to be with her every second of the day. We had to look for a surgeon ourselves who can get her in asap. I'm extremely disappointed with the service, we were basically robbed to just get xrays done and my dog had to get sedated AGAIN for the surgery, when this all could have been done in one day without extra 450$ cost on top of 1200$ surgery we had to pay for. I cannot believe that we are forced to pay so much money for such poor service and no accountability for their actions. My dog had to be sedated twice in 2 days and medicated for 2 extra days for NO reason when we could have simply been explained that they do not have a surgeon/dr, who can properly assess my dog on the same day.My dog had to get extra anesthesia just so we can confirm the obvious, that her hip was dislocated. I cant be more frustrated and disappointed with their service. This is beyond negligent.
Usually my dog is super nervous to come in to the vet but the staff were wonderful and so kind, they made his experience amazing. They truly are extraordinary, I will definitely be coming back to Vedder Mountain Vet Clinic!
Even though our dog doesn't show joy coming in, we trust this place and know they're their for him. They always answer all our questions and are super kind!
I have been taking my animals to Vedder Mountain Vet for 1.5 yrs. I had just moved to Chilliwack and needed a good vet as the one i had before was awesome so I was a little leary. BUT, wow, they are so awesome there. Right from the front desk people who are all phenomenal, very friendly and very attentive. The vets there are also awesome and very caring. Take their time and really try hard to figure out the root of what is the cause of my pet not feeling well. I highly recommend this vet and wouldn't go anywhere else.
Very nice
Love this place! Very kind staff and has very positive environtment!
Caring people, great staff. I had gone to another vet and they miss my rabbit's wound on her. Dr. Ross went into action and saved snowball's life.
My cat Mister was not feeling very well. Brought him here and the Dr and staff were totally awesome. They took excellent care of him. They kept me updated about him regularly. The vet was so kind and caring. Turns out my kitty has kidney failure. Then today 4 days after he came home they called to see how he is doing.
The receptionists are very polite the doctor is amazing they spayed my cat and did an awesome job, unfortunately my cat bit one of the ladies and swatted at her but I think that had to do with me leaving her there she wasn't a very happy girl after the surgery but the doctor did an amazing job I love this Vet I will never take my kitty anywhere else!! :) Thank you for everything you did Grace!!
I brought my diabetic cat in close to closing she was in major distress. She looks her over it’s easy to see her age and adds a quick there’s pills for the dandruff on her and waits to see if I’ll bite. We get sent home feeling hopeless equipped with corn syrup to see if she will get better. Several hours of suffering later we needed to bring her back to get put down. Looking back on this experience I feel heartbroken on how it went and enraged at the constant up selling. I get it, they need to make money but draw a line when it’s sensitive. Close to $800 later, two days before Christmas and a very sad ride home is the reason for this rating.
The staff at Vedder Mtn.Vet Clinic have been very caring and responsive for the needs of our two dogs. They have been able to address our pets needs efficiently and in a friendly atmosphere, which really helps us when leaving our pet(s) for a while in their care. The staff ensure you understand the procedures for you animal's health care, and the potential costs. And they have adapted their procedures during the COVID19 pandemic to ensure clients and staff are safe .
Service here was excellent. They explained everything to us very well. Also, our dog loved them instantly, a stark contrast to the previous vet we brought him to. Because of covid, they're currently doing curbside service where they talk to you at your car and take your animal inside to see the vet, so I wasn't sure if it was going to be more difficult communication-wise. I am so pleased with how it went today. Our little chihuahua had been miserable for several days. The vet assessed him, x-rayed him, and dispensed medications all within a half hour. It's only been a couple hours since the vet visit and he's already doing a lot better. We are very grateful.
Dr. Ross is a godsend! Holly, Jen and the others are all amazing too. We are so happy to have found this wonderful group of individuals who care so much for our fur babies. I have all the confidence in the world in them. Thank you Vedder Mountain team for all that you do! ~Poppi and Penny xoxo
My cats have two very different personalities: one is hyperactive and okay around new people, and the other overly defensive, skittish, and can be quite aggressive. The staff at this clinic did an absolutely exceptional job handling them as they were not at all stressed out after we brought them home, as they tend to be after being out of the house. They follow proper COVID protocols to keep everyone safe without making things extra difficult, which is important to me as many of my immediate family members are immunocompromised; however, my animals’ health is also very important. I have no concerns about taking my animals here, as I am confident that they are in safe hands. This is an excellent clinic that is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and I completely recommend them to anybody.
Good service here. My cat never feels nervous with their staff.
No problems with it.
My border collie has been in just a few times for minor issues, but every time he does he gets so excited and happy to see the staff. He is well taken care of and they have great advice.
I can’t say enough about Dr Ross and her staff. We brought 2 very sick cats 1 yr and 14 yr with unrelated health issues at the same time, both complicated cases. She treated both our girls being extremely sensitive to our finances. She is very compassionate, knowledgeable and showed nothing but the greatest care and obvious love for both our girls. Both are on the mend now and should make a full recovery in no time. It was a very stressful week and we are over the moon that both are still here with us, though I’m sure they both used up 1 of their 9 lives. My husband and I thank Dr Ross from the bottom of our hearts.
This clinic has a helpful and reliable staff that will attend to all your needs and your pets! They are extremely accomdating and put the health of your pets first, even during extreme COVID restrictions they were at the front lines ensuring that family's loved ones (pets) were taken care of.
Wonderful and friendly staff. I trust them completely with my dogs!
I do not recommend Vedder Mountain Veterinary Clinic to the pet lovers. I was upset about Vedder Mountain Veterinary Clinic. They cut my dog’s nail too short yesterday. My dog 2 nails were breeding. They did not say anything or apologize about it. Until I saw the blood on my dog’s paw. I looked for reliable and professional services. Unfortunately, they are not provided. I share my experience because I don't want another pet get hurt and their poor service.
Doctor was perfect
I had an emergency and I never dealt with them before and they told me to come in right away. Pleasant staff good service and good medical care
Almost made me euthanize my cat as according to her, there was no hope even with $3000 dollar surgery. That was 2.5 years ago, and my cat is healthy and doing well after i ignored her and researched his issue by myself, changed his diet, did not go with her recommended surgery or her prescription. She needs to accept that there are new ways of doing things and new research into better medications. Caninsulin is no longer used in the usa because of its ineffectiveness. I believe putting my cat on a raw food diet and giving him lantus insulin is what has kept him alive and healthy. I was even able to stop insulin treatments for nearly a year! And he only needs 1.5iu instead of the 5iu prescribed with by this vet with caninsulin.
Love Dr. Ross and all her staff. Knowledgeable. caring, supportive, goes out of their way every time. Everything all done under one roof. Simply The Best !!
Very professional, help us even without an appointment.
Amazing service, everyone was kind and sweet.
Came here on a trip to BC as a casual getaway with my family and dog about a month ago. We walked around the area around the slower current areas a little west from the clinic. Kids went to cross some of the shallow/still areas with the dog to play on a little island. I noticed later that day that our little buddy was seemingly irritated around the front left axilla. We brought it in to VMVC the next day just to have it looked at. It ended up being a small hotspot and the vet prescribed some topical antibiotics; the area shown improvements within 4-5 days. Would highly recommend this clinic if your little pals picks up something from small pools along the river.
This 10 star recommendation took so long overdue. Our barely 8 yr old Rottweiler was paralyzed due to agressive cancer metastasis to her spine. We had to put her down immediately. The staff was amazing, and the vet? Even more amazing, After the bill of x-rays and paw prints x 3 , my daughter asked for an equal tpayment plan, no such luck for cremation. Mr. Wonderful vet called back 10 minutes later. He would pay for her cremation services. I've never seen more kindness and compassion from another human being.oh and on her one month anniversary of death, someone from the office dropped off (personally) a bouquet of flowers and a card! What? Just amazing
Couldn't see Dr and didn't get written results of exam. They didn't even trim nails
Absolute worst vet! DO NOT bring any small animal here ever! She has zero knowledge but pretends she does. You will waste hundreds of dollars as she plays guessing games on what your pet might have. Pushing more and more meds to make money instead of sending you to a specialist immediately, when she doesnt know what she is doing. I can't speak for cats or dogs but DO NOT bring small animals here. I wonder if she even has her license for small animals. On top of that, she is so rough with small animals, i honestly thought she was going to rip the skin right off my pets face she stretched it so far! Also looked like his eye would pop out of his head. Ive been through another vet now and feel sick to my stomach that i went here. Only did because it was hard to find a "small animal" vet. I found coastal rivers in Abby and they are a million times better! Thanks to Dr Ross my pet almost died. Obviously Vicky pearl is not my real name, and no I don't want to argue about what you have already done.
I 've been attending this clinic for about 6-7 years . I have an old dog (19+ years). Staff are very caring and personable. Care has been excellent, especially during a few specific medical emergencies. They are a wonderful help to me and my buddy!
We have been going to Vedder Mountain since we moved to Chilliwack and wouldn't go anywhere else in town. Nothing but the best care for our pets. The staff are super friendly and compassionate.
not happy with service...had to take dog to another vet to get her fixed...
Very caring and helpful. Always provide excellent service and care to our dogs
My cat bubbles just had his neuter surgery here. He back to normal on the second day :) happy and healthy. I would recommend this clinic to all the pet lovers!!
Highly professional and experienced staff
I have found that the Staff and veterinarians are both helpful and well informed about disease processes and relevant diagnostics and treatments. The new management at Vedder Mountain Veterinary Clinic continue to provide excellent client centered service to pets and their owners.
Dr. Leslie Ross has been and always will be the Veterinary Clinic of my choice. Reason is her total dedication to helping keep my family pets healthy. She has been our vet for over 15 years and saved the lives of our dogs and cats to which we are extremely thankful. I would totally recommend her clinic.
Do not take small animals here. Dr ross is not knowledgeable with eye issues at all and is extremely rough when touching your pet. She adds random charges while doing nothing different then a normal check up and calls them in hospital exams and such. Shes a medication pusher instead of sending you to a specialist when she doesnt know the solution. When she finally agreed to send us to a specialist after wasting 6 months, lots of money and my rabbits health rapidly declining. She said I had to pay $50 for a referral which is free at other vets. Then on top of everything lied about the specialist that she or the receptionist personally found, that they take rabbits for surgery. called them myself to make sure and they dont even do surgery on rabbits! Then to make things even more shocking when I didnt think thats possible, they refuse to send over records and paper work to new vets when you find another one.
super professional, great, caring staff that genuinely cared about me and my pet. 10/10 recommend Vedder Mountain Veterinary Clinic, all staff from the receptionists to the doctors were extremely helpfull! with a variety of treatment options!
So caring and friendly. Love the entire team.
Awesome with pets
Compassionate and caring staff.
The staff was super friendly and kind. They welcomed me with a smile everytime I went in. They cared about the health and well-being of my cat Cleo and called shortly after her surgery to make sure she was doing well. I highly recommend Vedder Mountain Veterinary.
This is our new veterinarian office after many years with the same vet. I brought my big dog in on an emergency basis for the first time when our usual vet couldn’t see us. It was the absolute best experience I’ve ever had at a veterinarian clinic. The locum vet Brian was extremely thorough, took the time to go over the xrays with me, and offered lots of free advice on a wide range of health tips while we waited for the sedation to work so big boy could be xrayed. Huge thanks to Jennifer and Grace too! What an amazing team you have there!
Best Vet clinic in the city! All of the employees take extremely good care of the animals. My dog loved coming here will always bring him here. I will never go elsewhere, keep up the unappreciated work team????
We were visiting Chiliwack for a weekend holiday when our 5 month old puppy got what looked like a serious eye infection and could barely open her eyes. We called all a few different vets around and none seemed to be able to accomodate/were not responsive enough to our urgent need. Luckily, Vedder was quick to respond with very friendly and comforting communication. We brought our puppy in, they quickly took her in, Dr.Randhawa examined her and provided us with the right medication to get her feeling better in no time. If we lived in Chiliwack this would be our go-to vet! Can not recommend enough.
This is the absolute WORST vet I have ever seen!!!! She is a complete drug/vaccine pusher and only cares about the almighty dollar $! I brought my dog in after he was attacked by another dog- he had a cut on his shoulder and I wanted to make sure he didn't need stitches- after judging me about how I care for my dog ie. what food I feed him (I feed him raw FYI) she said "oh, he definitely needs stitches" "and he needs a dose of penicillin, and antibiotics to go home with" then she asked if I wanted a quote or if she should just start. After hearing everything she wanted to do, I said I'd just take him to my regular vet, since he's a family friend, but works in cloverdale. Then, she started back tracking, saying "well it's only a minor laceration, and he may only need the fur shaved off to clean it better. Pfffft!!!! She is a crook! Don't go here unless you want you wallet to be robbed and poor veterinary advice! Dr Ross should be put out of business.
Great pet patient care. Very thorough & thoughtful
Friendly staff
VMVC handled covid protocol very well ... smooth flowing transition from vehicle to clinic & back. Staff was exceptional (especially with my Chunky Chicken cats). VERY gracious & helpful in assisting me with weight loss foods, plan & visit report of findings. I was very impressed that our vet actually came outside to my van to speak, rather than a phone call. If it were permitted, I'd give each staff member a heartfelt hug for their service, graciousness & professionalism. I highly recommend this clinic
We had a horrible experience here. If you are looking for Dr. Ross, which we were as she had been recommended to us from family and friends, she is not there. She sold the place to the owners of Menzie's Pet Hospital. Although they still have Dr. Ross's picture and info on the website and her name is on a sign on the wall she has nothing to do with this place. This is border line fraud to me. We took our dog there for a routine procedure and Dr. Kaur completely made a mess of it by rupturing his bladder and subsequently we had to put our dog down 3 days later. It was the most heartbreaking thing we have ever had to do. I will never recommend this place to anyone.
I brought in a hamster that needed urgent medical attention recently. I did not have an appointment and I rushed into the clinic in a panic. Dr. Ross was on site and came out and checked over the small animal right then and there. She showed great compassion and was very caring. The veterinary assistant as well was very kind and I felt as though the staff there truly do love and care about the animals they treat.
Very caring staff, and professional.
I can honestly say my cat healed very well after his neuter and he was noticeably taken care of .
They did seem to care for issues with my pets. I am waiting til this covid car hop thing is finished. That way I can actually meet the person working on my animal. There wont be any mystery or back and forth paper work. I do appreciate their efforts.
wonderful people doing great things.
I went to get my cat spayed here. Great overall experience! The staff were polite, professional and efficient. I also really appreciated the Covid-19 protocols in place and how seriously they took them. Pickle and I will be coming back for the re check and future vaccinations.
