They take their time and you don't feel any rush. Price is just fair, they don't overcharge.

Friendly reception, helpful techs, and great doctors!

I order vet-only dog food here about every month. They're prompt and courteous to let me know when the food is ready to be picked up. The staff are nice and friendly.

Dr Aurora and all her staff are friendly and so gentle to my cat.

Helen Jennings

Dr Arora and her staff helped us through the most difficult day in the life of our dog Buster yesterday. She was so kind and caring, and our pup's passing was quick and peaceful. We are so glad to have such an excellent pet hospital in our neighbourhood.

Alistair Brown

I only recently discovered this vet after taking my sick cat here when I was looking for a second opinion. The vet is easily the best vet I've seen before. I found her to be extremely compassionate and took a lot of time to examine my cat and give me a some different options for treating him. I didn't feel like she was trying to sell me on expensive tests, and was generally concerned for the welfare of my beloved kitty. Their prices might be slightly higher than some of the other vets around, but I don't think they're much higher -- especially given their level of service. Highly recommended.

Great friendly service

The vets have been good, but today they completely skipped my appointment. I waited outside for 20mins trying to get a hold of them and then gave up. When I spoke to them later I didn't even get an acknowledgement or apology for them missing the appointment.

Raymond Lee

Shown no sympathy to my dying dog and refer me to another vet that's REALLY far, knowing that's not possible. While there's another vet right beside them. And the final bill at the next door vet was less than half compared to the price quoted at Queen's Park Pet Hospital. Thanks for nothing. I recommend looking around before sticking with them.

We love Dr. Ford’s service, care, professionalism and all the attentive assistants. That’s the place I trust to bring my 4-legs love. I strongly recommend this clinic.

For the record, this review is purely based on my experience and the following effects it’s had on me financially and emotionally. All I’m going to say is if your beloved pet is in need of emergency assistance, beware if you ever take them to this place. One morning, our little cat who was less than a year old suddenly needed immediate attention, so we took her here because it’s located closest to us and has “Pet Hospital” in its name. Regretfully, we probably should have taken her to our regular vets which is a little further away but we’ve never had a problem there. But now, about $1600 later which we had to pay upfront ($1100 for the “emergency fee, examination and care”, $500 for a decision I really didn’t want to make), all that came out of it was being financially broke, a condolence card from the staff, an urn, a paw plaque (which I don’t remember selecting on the form and could hardly bare to look at), a heart full of grief, regret, and emotional trauma which will probably scar me for life. I hate to leave a negative review for anything but for my own closure and to help warn other people in similar situations, this is something I just had to get off my chest so I can move on.

We love our vet and so does our pup

Great caring staff, fear free verified.

All the vets and staff at QP are great. They have taken good care of our resident cats. One cat, Ben, had extensive and compounding problems. I was impressed with the way Dr Arora methodically worked through the issues, step-by-step. And she didn’t hesitate to refer Ben to the specialty vet in Langley as soon as it became obvious that Ben’s problems required extensive specialization (oncology). The bills were reasonable and manageable. I’d recommend QP for everyone.

They have been super great with our little puppy who had a bad reaction to her vaccines. They call and check up on her and have been very accommodating with our schedules while still providing excellent care. Especially with Covid where we can’t come in. Our pup will race in to say hi if she has her way!

Fear free clinic. My pups have been here for 4 years and everyone has been so great. Dr Holden and arora are the kindest vets. I've met the other vets too and they've handled my dogs with such care. Even in emergencies they've taken care of my dogs. Thorough. my friends take their cats here too. Recommend! Best place in New Westminster.

Kevin

Staff are professional and courteous. They made my dog and myself feel very welcomed. The clinic is clean and the vets are knowledgeable..all qualities that make it a great pet hospital. If you care about your pet's well-being then you must bring them here.

Emma Bell

My dogs and I love Dr. Holden and all the staff here. They are committed to fear free practices, make excellent treatment recommendations, and always go the extra mile for my dogs. I particularly appreciate that they are friendly toward raw feeding!

Caitlin McBride

We love this place almost as much as our dog does! I only say "almost" because it is impossible to love it more than Bonnie. She gets such great cuddles and love from the staff and has zero fear going here. We live nearby and she drags us to their door whenever we come close to the building! She gets so disappointed when it's closed and her friends aren't there. The whole team is so great and and very warm and professional. I love that they always call to check up on her the day after she visits to make sure she's doing okay. We're so happy to have such a great vet close to us!

I've gone to alot of vets and this one made my dog and me comfortable with them right away , a clean , friendly , welcoming environment , making a stressful situation a little less stressful :-)

Iha Farquhar Hayer

I have a very small dog. She is 2.7 pounds. She was the runt of her litter and has had many health issues related to her small size in her short life. Dr. Arora and all of the Queen’s Park Pet Hospital staff are professional and dedicated to maintain their promise of creating a fear free pet clinic. Even after major surgeries our little dog pulls to go into the hospital to see the staff! I recommend this Pet Hospital to all those that care deeply for their pets!

We deal with Doctor Ford which is a really good Vet. Technicians that receive our pet at the door are also great. Our pup is always happy when going in.

Queen’s Park Pet Hospital agreed to see our Boston who was having laboured breathing right away. They took great great care and attention in making sure our little guy was ok. All with great attention to the COVID19 situation. We were very relieved and thankful.

Jake Aller

I can't express enough how amazing, understanding, empathic, and very kind every single person is that works here, especially Dr. Arora! They truly understand what it means to be "fear free" and they make our rescue pup as comfortable as possible every single time! We're probably never going to go to another vet regardless of where we live. The experience every single visit is worth the distance and the money!

They really care and it shows.

Amazing hospital and amazing people. Manju was amazing the first time and every time i am in the area i walk in with max to say hi. they are always welcoming even if it was just a random hi to get the boy used to the vets.. infact they encourage that. Today Dr. Sarah was brilliant too. lot of patience, she answered all my questions and made the whole visit very informative and fun. and all the attendants in the place are super friendly and loving with the animals too. keep up the great work team.

Celina N

Excellent care and service for our dog. Fear free environment Virtually no wait time for all of our appointments Dr.Holden is excellent with our dog and always pays attention to our concerns no matter how minor they may be.

We have been going to this vet for a little while now and can't say enough good things about them. The staff are always friendly and care for the animals they are treating. They go above and beyond from other vets we have been to. I would recommend this place to anyone with a cat or dog

My dog suffered a dog bite on the nose. I was quite worried when we dropped her off and asked many times for her not to go under when she got stitches. The vet told me she would be just fine to go home and they would call me. I received a call that she died when just an hour earlier she was fine. When my boyfriend arrived he said they must have put her under and given her too much anesthesia. My dogs are part of my family- they mean a lot to me. Be careful and make sure you trust your vet.

Great care for pets !

Very friendly staff, prompt service ,thank you for your extra hard work during the pandemic. I feel confident my dog is cared for when she goes inside.

I was so happy to get Queen's Park recommended to me after moving here 2 years ago. All the staff are super friendly, kind and caring; always asking how all the family members are doing regardless of who is in for their check-up. I've seen a few different doctors here and they have all been excellent. Very thorough during exams. Super surprised at how they calm our semi-feral cats. Great discussions around vaccinations and helping me make the decisions I think are best for our pets. I always leave with the knowledge I need to keep my pets happy and healthy. Zira, Bruce and Shirley are in great hands at Queen's Park Pet Hospital and give an all paws up recommendation!

Shannon

I do not suggest this vet if you have a cats! I came here because we use to take my family dog here and they were great; however, since I’ve been taking my cats here it’s been a terrible experience. My 1 year old cat has had a few gastro issues, resulting in 2 invasive surgeries in less than 6 months. To make a long story short- basically I believe the second surgery could have been prevented and saved me $8,000 if after the first surgery my vet would have been more proactive in following up with the surgeons instructions. Both surgeries were done at Canada West- the discharge summary mentioned “possible gastroenteritis/ IBS /pancreatiti etc”. More recently after her being sick for a second time when I called their office to ask for some advice I was told to take her to Canada West...after 4 days, multiple scan, and another surgery for the same issue as before I didn’t receive a follow up call from my vets office until 3 weeks later! Needless to say I have switched vets and looking forward to figuring out how to help my cat

KLP

Kind, patient and overall fantastic vet. Highly recommended by my trainer, I was very pleased to have a positive experience for my fearful dog.

Great staff. They care so much.

I was grateful for the Vets at Queen's Park Pet Hospital for taking my dog as a new patient at the start of COVID. Unfortunately, however, after a year of veterinary services here, I'm very disappointed. This vet clinic significantly overcharges, and although I found the vet willing and available to consult with me, I found her somewhat inexperienced. I've moved on!!

I really liked going here with my cat originally, unfortunately I will not be going back all because Alice is the rudest lady iv ever delt with, I went in to get some medication for my cat when we saw Alice was there we turned around and walked out and went to another clinic even tho its further and an inconvenience...

Chaz (our 5-year-old border collie has been in love with Dr. Arora for several years, now) and me, too. Today, Muskrat (our 2-year-old tuxedo cat) visited Dr. Holden. They were hitting it off splendidly - until the half a pill in the mouth part! After several valiant tries on the part of Dr. Holden, and much growling and avoiding by Muskrat, we compassionately decided to leave it until later. Muskrat had been a model patient until the pill. There was no predicting that a cat, who was mellow about vaccinations, poking, prodding, teeth checking, and ear cleaning, would take exception to half a pill! But she did - and none of the humans wanted to leave her with a bad "taste". So, Muskrat, and her big brother Chaz (who was there for moral support) and I stayed in the room for a few minutes after Dr. Holden left us. Muskrat was settling down and, then, Dr. Holden popped back in with a special cat toy, infused with catnip. Suddenly, all was well! This is the kind of care my pets get! Highly recommended.

My dog is 11 and has always hated every vet his entirely life. When we started taking our dog and cat to Queens Park Animal Hospital, we noticed a change in my dogs behavior. He went from shaking and afraid at all other vets to tail wagging and excited when he saw all the staff. He and our cat both love Dr Holden. She is absolutely the best with both of them and you can tell she really cares about animals. My dog used to go from running past the vets to now dragging me by on any random day to visit the friendly reception/technician staff. We are loyal to Dr Holden and will never see anyone else. Isn’t it all about how the pets feel when they go tot the vet?

I can't say enough good things about this pet hospital. Dr. Arora is so good with my kitty. The first time I took him in I was in the exam room waiting for her to come in and I sat on the floor to make him feel more comfortable while he sniffed everything. When she came in she sat on the floor beside me and gave him some time to get comfortable. He is so much better with her than any cat I've had at the vet. Dr. Arora is also mindful of expenses and does try to give less expensive options when she can. The exam room has Feliway, cat pheromones in the air and on the exam table. Jersey is just so relaxed in this very cat friendly hospital.

Simone Thurston

We have had the best experience with Queens Park. The staff is excellent and very attentive. The doctors are caring and gentle with all animals. I would recommend them to anyone!

My best vet experience I've ever had. So helpful.

Sabrina Webb

They take excellent care of my 3 chihuahuas, I am glad to have found them!

ShatterBrainz

Cant even quote me prices for a simple cleaning of the teeth.... would not recommend this hassle house... super rude!! According to other user reviews on this "hospital" they have killed Dogs by using to much anesthesia for a small dog bite and stitches ! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS IF YOU LOVE YOUR PETS!

Victoria Albert

We have been to many pet hospitals before with our cat. He has always hated the other doctors we went to, but not this one. They use cat and dog pheromones in the air dispenser to help relax the animal before the doctor comes in to see the pet. It visibly relaxed our little one. The doctors and staff were all extremely nice and were thinking outside the box, allowing them to come up with possible causes and treatments for pets illnesses, better than other pet hospitals. They deeply cared for our baby and even when he had to be put down, they did it in a fashion that helped him be comfortable, relaxed and not afraid at all. They offered us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes and a few days later we even found a card in our mailbox saying how deeply sorry they were for our loss. This clinic is by FAR the best one we have EVER been to and whenever we are ready for another fuzzy family member, they will be our go-to place, no question. UPDATE: Still the best clinic around the whole area and my two new kitties love the doctors and everything. Bring your pet here! :D

Robyn N

Meh. This vert clinic is okay. I took my dog here for about a year or two and it was nothing special. They always asked for me to bring in a poop sample which after the first couple times I realized was just a cash grab. I honestly felt like this place cared more about my money rather than taking care of my dogs. I will not be going back here.

Peggy Meyer

Thanks to Dr. Nunes and to all the other doctors and staff at Queen's Park Pet Hospital for their excellent, kind care of my dog before, during and after his recent surgery.

Corey Rollins

Super friendly staff and helpful vets.

Finally, and vet...Dr. Holden and her techs allow me to be with my fur children when tests were being done. Oh but that tune changed when my cat needed an ultrasound on her heart. A test she sleeps through IF I AM THERE. Dr. Holden refused to even ask the cardiologist if that was possible. Then only to receive comments with a negative sarcastic tone. Definitely a "fearful clinic". Expensive too. I had everything done peacefully with the cardiologist and no anesthesia required. No one upset and my pocket book has $200.00 more dollars in it!

Luisa Flohr

We dropped in with our cat, who had some minor urinary symptoms. To be fair, it was a Saturday and they were fully booked. After I told them about the symptoms, the assistant talked to the doctor and they offered us an emergency appointment. That would have been 120$ for the emergency fee alone. When I asked for another appointment, the vet assistant told us that the issues my cat was showing could be very dangerous and that he might need to go to an intensive care facility overnight (they were referring to blockage of the urethra, a surgical emergency). She would highly recommend to see the doctor. She said all these things even though no one even so much as looked at my pet. They clearly tried to scare us into paying an unnecessary emergency fee, even after I said that my cat was otherwise fine and showed no signs of pain or retention of urine. We found another vet and it turned out to be a mild urinary tract infection. I cannot comment on the clinical care provided here, but I can imagine how a worried pet owner might get scared into paying a lot of money for what could also be unnecessary procedures. I would not recommend this animal hospital for unscheduled visits.

Carol Turner

Brought my cat in for dental work and cost me $2,000. Took her somewhere else second time and not only cheaper but found out they didn't tell me everything, so now I have to deal with a problem that should have been dealt with 6 months ago. If you love your pet, take them somewhere else. I do not recommend this place at all.

Christine Tokevich

been doing business with this animal hospital for the last 3 1/2 years but after today wont ever recommend them or spend a dime in the clinic . the reason for that today my coworker found an abandon dog and when she brought the dog to this clinic asking for help if they could cheek it for a micro chip or read its ear tattoo so we could located the owner they refused to help .. sorry we weren't paying customers, sorry we troubled you to do something nice for a scared abandon animal. clearly this animal clinic has no compassion and only cares about money.

Tammy Theis

One of the vets at this hospital suggested I euthanize my 10 week old kitten after putting her through treatment that cost me over $1,000. The vet I sought a second opinion from at different clinic told me that this vet was completely off base and wasted money and stress for my family and my kitten. After stopping all the treatment recommendations and medication my kitten is fine. DO NOT go to this clinic.

Olivia Eden

Peter M

They treat my dog really good! She likes going to them.

Stephanie Kovach

Staff are great, locations is clean and pet friendly... but they are all about taking your money... I have had two yorkies at first there and my first was when my girl had a seizure...they prescribe all these medicine for me to use only if she had the symptoms again but never did so wasted 150$ in medicine that wasn't needed...than I brought my boy to them his first visit was a new vet...she was great with him giving him lots of treats and taking it easy...this was my 4 months boy 2nd visit... he got his shot and yelp and cried a bit and was nervous but as soon as he was at home he was fine... I book a leptso shot...cancelled it a week before but for some reason two days before I get a reminder about the appointment...and also got a phone call saying his medicine is ready....I was very shocked as there should of been first no appointment and 2nd why was he getting medicine....I phone back and was told he that a 4.5 month old needs to be sedated to receive his shot! I was so shocked and you should never sedate an animal for shots...I said why does he need to be sedated.. they state due to him being nervous...In my opinion my boy was fine yes he yelped from the shots and was nervous but doesn't needed to be sedated (another money grabber) and than they state that this was discussed in our previous visit with the vet.....fyi no it wasn't nothing was stated or I would of told them right there no!... and than when I brought up raw to them they tell you all about salmonella and all the bad stuff...anyhow pulled both my dogs out and will be going to a new vet...

Colleen McDonald

We were so happy when Dr. Arora returned to practice in New Westminster. She and her staff are dedicated to providing the very best care available to their patients. Knowledgeable, professional, friendly and so very caring.

Mary Gagnon

Dr. Arora and the staff are all first class. She's provided pet care to our family cats for the past 8 years (even before the advent of QPPH), always with compassion, concern for the comfort of our furbabies and professionalism. We also like the one-stop shop - being able to get veterinary-approved foods right on site, order them online and pick them up at our convenience.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Arora and her team. When our previous vet closed without notice they took us in same day as our dog had injured her knee. That was 3 years ago and they've been incredible ever since. You can tell they truly care about animals and care for them as they would their own. They get right down on the ground and give lots of snuggles to make sure our dog feels comfortable as she gets anxious. I trust them 1000% and recommend them to everyone I know in the area. They all really go out of their way to help as much as they can and explain the options available in a way that is easy to understand, even in a stressful situation. When our dog needed surgery Dr. Arora even sent us articles about the surgical option so we could make an informed decision.

I,ve just spent over $500 to treat my dogs ear infection, and they they,re telling me I need to spend more to make sure it,s gone. They’re all about the money, in my opinion. Save your money and fine another vet.

Absolutely the best place for my very frightened chihuahuas to visit. Kind, compassionate and caring staff.

My wife and I feel very confident bringing our baby girl Jorja here. Dr. Holden, RVT Natasha and front end staff are very patient and they love animals. ????

This place is a complete money grab! Quoted us the same cost for bladder ultrasound on our cat as the Emergency Hospital that specializes in Urology. The vet loudly argued with my husband while our poor cat moaned in pain. So unprofessional and rude! ZERO ZERO ZERO

Marc Jones

I take my "children" here when they are sick

DC Carter

Queen's Park Pet Hospital is phenomenal, from the moment they book your appointment, the time they spend with you and your pet (dog in our case) and with the care they provide. I am so fortunate to have Queen's Park Pet Hospital so close - open 7 days a week - and know the history of my dog since she was a puppy! I want the best for my little fur baby! I value the care and knowledge of Dr Arora and Dr Holden - they care for my dog like their own. The technicians along with all staff are all so kind and have such pleasing personalities. My dog used to go into other pet hospitals in the past and would shake and be very nervous. She goes into Queen's Park Pet Hospital with a wagging tail and a dog smile on her face. Everyone there really knows how the fear free atmosphere works. I have and will continue to recommend this very inviting and knowledgable Pet Hospital! HIGH FIVE TO QUEEN'S PARK PET HOSPITAL!

Of the four Vets I have had for my Bichons over many years, Queen's Park Pet Hospital is the first that my remaining Bichon Surprise enjoys going to. She does not stop at the front door and refuse to go in after smelling under the door before I get to open it. She is happy for me to open the door to let her go in. When she gets inside she is curious and happy to be there. I couldn't be happier to finally have a Vet my dog is not nervous about seeing. She totally enjoys every visit and Dr. Arora is so kind and loving to her and all her patients. It is so nice for me to not feel upset when I have to take Surprise to the Vet for whatever it may be, because Queen's Park Hospital and it's staff make her feel like she belongs there! Thank you so much.
