This place is all about getting the most money out of you. I brought in my cat for cremation. I had wanted to bring him to Forever in Peace Cremation myself but due to Covid, they are now closed to the public and the only way to obtain their services is through the vet's clinic. I checked beforehand for prices and for a pet the size of mine it was $80 plus tax. To my shock, when I arrived at Mission Veterinary Hospital, they charged me $200!! To be clear, they do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Forever in Peace picks up and returns the pet and does all the work. I could understand a small "agent" fee, but 135% more than the actual price!! Shame on you, Dr. Pannu and Mission Hospital for taking advantage of grieving pet parents. Truly despicable.

Our senior baby Jack was not doing well due to his teeth. He has a heart murmur which can cause complications during surgery so our other vet didn’t want to risk it. This vet took the chance and did a high risk surgery and has given us our little man back. They were so kind, professional, and trustworthy. They babied my husband and I and also checked in on Jack at home after the surgery as well. Our other dogs have gone here too and we can’t say enough good things about the staff!! ????

They asked for X-rays of my dogs shoulder which i already had taken at another vet about two weeks prior- these x-rays weren't good enough -they couldn't see anything so i had to redo the entire set- at a cost of just under 500.00 - then low and behold- they couldn't see anything on the new x rays either! So then they wanted an mri- i believe that was 2500.00- and an appointment with their bone specialist- what a joke- 400.00 just to see him- so what are we at now? 3700.00? And nothing has been done for my dog. Meanwhile we heard that glucosamine works sometimes for dogs- we tried it and for 35.00 our dog is running around like a pup. I would NOT recommend this vet- they are ALL about the money.

We really loved the staff when we first came with our new kittens. Since then they seem to have changed some staff. The last time we went the vet wanted to give one of our cats injections that they didn’t know would help or not. We declined and the cat was fine. Will definitely inquire next time which vet is working!

Writing on behalf on my girlfriend. She took her french bulldog in to get spayed this last week and it was amazing. I was super nervous about the procedure but the vet is everything I could have asked for and more when I picked her up the vet answered every single one of my questions as well the ones not related to the procedure. When she was under sedation they had even cut her nails and cleaned her ears! Also finished the microchip information. Everything was super reasonably priced/ totally affordable. She is already feeling better on day 2. Super great and helpful staff Highly recommend this vet!!!

I brought my 2 year old cat in with an injured hind leg. I was sure it was broken. It also had severe wounds on the paw and pad. The way my cat limped, and the leg twisted, I was convinced it was broken. Upon inspection Dr. G Singh Pannu called me and told me it was not broken. I was somewhat belligerent, based on what I noticed as an unnatural movement of the leg. He calmly assured me he would reinspect, and do x-rays if I insisted. The foot was not broken, but due to the pad soreness, my cat was twisting her hip to take pressure off the pad. Weirdly unnatural. I am thankful Dr. Singh Pannu did not take advantage of my ignorance to issue an unneeded x-ray. With some painkiller and antibiotics, and she was prancing about again in a few days. Thank-you so much.????

Made an appointment at Mission Vet when my regular vet could not accommodate our tight schedule and urgent matter. We were in quickly, both the vet and vet assistant were very patient and caring. We came in for deworming and because our older cat was showing symptoms of being ill. While on the phone with the veterinarian he told me that there's a possibility he may have a respiratory infection and that he recommended we got some antibiotics if we didn't have money for the blood work. We agreed and got the antibiotics, once we got home we gave him the medication and he began acting very weirdly. We looked at the medication only to realize they didn't give us antibiotics. They gave us appetite stimulants despite them telling us our cat was a bit overweight on our last visit just a few months prior. I was quite upset about this and phoned them about it, I was told there was a mixup in the files since our last visit was under a different name (which still doesn't explain why we agreed to antibiotics and were given appetite stimulants instead). They told me they were going to look into it and give me a call back. Weeks later I have still never received that phone call. To top this all off we went to give him his second deworming medication last night only to realize they gave us the dosage for a small kitten. He is 7 years old. The front staff were kind and polite, but based off this experience I won't be returning.

I've been to the Mission Veterinary Hospital on a few occasions and loved each experience. They worked their magic on my one dog's dew claw when he was in a very painful situation and every other Vet I called denied me because it was too close to closing (it was close for Mission too but they still let me come in). Great at nail clippings even with my two picky dogs. They helped me out again with a nail clipping experience that could have costed me more money but they avoided that! Friendly and professional employees! In the end I made the switch to them instead of the vet I'd been going to for 3 years! (That's got to say something haha)

I first brought my cat in 2 yrs ago after she was apparently kicked or hit with a bat by some random stranger (we thought hit by a car). They put her back together and she is still doing great. Dr. Calverly is an amazing vet and a caring person, my family and I have been going to her for many years. She has been right on top of everything for our animals and even when we had reached a hard time in our animals' lives she has had all of the answers and has been comforting and supportive through it all. Well Ill start with the good your reception staff was very nice and welcoming, thats where the good ends. Your vet assist. was under educated and made a couple remarks that were contrary to what they had just said, he also told us we could not get his vaccines at the time if he was still not feeling well, which os understandable however your staff should have made told us that when we booked the appointment let alone when they called to confirm it as well. Now your vet, Dr. Weetman hit my dog, he may have jumped up and put his paws in her lap to say hi but that does not give her right to strike my dog across the face , secondly the 3rd shot she gave him where you could tell she didnt want to deal with my energetic dog (his husky what do tou expect) she jabbed him so hard with the needle he yelped and thirdly the bordetella vaccine that she tried to administer , half of it ended up in my ear and eye and face , no apology and when I asked for paper towle I got a 2 by 4 inch strip, let alone the appalling bedside manner she had and getting up to leave before even asking if we had any questions or infact explaining why " we dont have to worry" about our dogs anal glands when we asked about them and their expressing, the vet did slow down and explain and very minial explaination as to why this was. Your office never got ahold of the previous vet to get any records despite them saying they would. All and all it was a horrible experience and I will never be returning with my animals.

We've been taking our dog and cat here for many years. I'm not sure what changed in the last few months but we haven't been happy with the vet service. The people at the front are good. Our most recent experience was awful and traumatic. Our dog had to be put down, which is never easy. The vet did not prepare us properly for what sedation would be like. He administered the medicine and left us for 5 minutes wondering if what was happening was normal and what was happening with our dog. When preparing the IV, he shaved her front leg, and then could not get a good vein. He tried anyways, and she started bleeding. He shaved another paw, missed the vein again. And then finally got it. He said sorry, and then left. End of life procedures at this clinic are not recommended. They made an awful experience, much much worse. Not to mention the small cramped room where we could hear everything going on in reception.

After recently moving to Mission and looking for a vet for my 2, 7 month old Yorkie puppies, I chose MVH because of the good reviews. My experience was nothing like the reviews. I was quoted $235 per puppy for castration and micro-chipping. One puppy had a puppy tooth and a new tooth removed, because it wasn't straight. The other puppy had rear dew claws removed. I paid over $900! The day of the appointment we arrived and waited 40 mins just to drop them off. Whilst waiting I observed the receptionist cleaning up some pee from someone else's dog. She used dirty water, and just kept mopping the floor, it was gross. I expected at least use some disinfectant. 40 mins later, we met the vet, who shoved back her stool across the front paws of one puppy, hurting him. No apology. I should have left at this point. The weigh table had something dirty on it that attracted my dog to keep trying to lick it. Cleanliness is clearly not their forte! One puppy recovered well and is fine now. But 4 weeks later we still have issues with the other puppy. The dressing on the dew claws was bandaged too tightly, and we had to return quite promptly as he was in a lot of discomfort. We rang ahead to let them know we were coming within the next few mins. As we arrived the vet walked past us and drove off. Couple of days later the other vet removed his stitches in his dew claws, told us there was infection and prescribed some antibiotics. We looked after him and tried to help him heal. I don't know what they used on the puppy's coats whilst they were there, but the mats on them both were so bad, we had to clip them both to get rid of the mats. I took a closer look at the dew claws yesterday to see how they were healing and discovered he still has a stitch in there that they missed. I will NEVER use this vet again, I don't have confidence in their competence, abilities, cleanliness, caring nature. I will from now on use another vet. Our experience with them is one never to be repeated. When the puppy cried the receptionist laughed, funny, I haven't heard him cry in pain before or after his visit. 1 star is too many.

Came in to this vet after a less than favourable visit to another, albiet 'cheaper' vet in Mission. 10 minutes with the Doctor and I couldn't be more over the moon. Informed the staff that this was my first pet, and the Vet walked me through what I should do as an owner and some bad habits she recommended we break (since the dog was displaying some serious 'spoiled princess' behaviour) and what else we could do to become a confident owner and have a confident pet. I am so happy that I've found such a great, caring place close to home that has reasonable prices for pet care. I've met a handful of the front staff and they are all so wonderfully polite.

We just moved to the area. Having had a wonderful Vet for many years I worried about finding a good vet in Mission. I was running late, due to being new to the area. They were so understanding, and kept a spot open till we arrived. The staff was wonderful. The doctor was so good with my dog. I also, like the fact they charge a low fee for the first visit. I will be making Mission Veterinary, are place to go.

I've taken my cat and dog there for years. The cat seems to always get into trouble and sadly has had a few emergency visits and they were always ready to handle whatever Talon would bring their way....And they followed up several times after emergency care. I don't know how many lives that cat o mine has left but for the ones he's used, I'm glad they were there!

They were incredibly kind and gentle with my kitten, did not force medication down her throat aggressively and allowed her to explore the room. They were willing to answer all of our questions and even called a few days later for follow up. 10/10... my new vet! Thank you Mission Vet!

I echo what the other negative reviews say about this place. We booked a checkup / vaccinations for our cat and also wanted to get a small skin growth removed from his cheek. We consulted with another vet prior and were able to obtain a written quote in advance. We took him to Mission because it was a much shorter drive and I like to support local businesses and because they said they would be able to do the vaccinations and procedure on the same day. I asked for an approximate cost while booking the appointment and the receptionist was unable to give me one. I emailed missvet@shaw.ca weeks prior to his appointment asking for a quote and was ignored completely. We went ahead anyways not expecting the cost to be exorbitant. Boy were we in for a surprise. They took him for 5 minutes and came back out and said the cost for checkup and 2 additional vaccinations would be to the tune of $162.75. This is after the tech who received him claimed the "adult cat" checkup was $70 vs the $95 we were originally quoted and were ok with. Here is the thing they wanted between $1200-1300 to remove a dime sized blip from his cheek. We were also not allowed to stay with our cat and were warmly welcomed to do so at the other vet. We declined and said we would take him elsewhere which had quoted us $360 for everything above all in. At this point the tech insisted they had already done the checkup and we owed them $95 for that vs the $70 he has quoted minutes before. We went ahead and did the vaccinations to save trauma on the cat and have him safe and up to date on shots while exploring the outdoors. We asked for a receipt and they said their printer was broken and one would be emailed immediately. It wasn't, we received a call asking to confirm the email address they had written down incorrectly, it still wasn't. We had to call again while he was at the other vet because they needed his history which is in Chilliwack and WONDERFUL for anyone looking for a new vet btw and much more reasonable (i.e $52 for checkup). DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE AND GET RIPPED OFF. POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES, DISMISSIVE SERVICE AND OVERPRICED TO A POINT THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF.

I first went to Mission Veterinary hospital while looking after another persons dog for a couple months. The dog needed lots of follow up appointments after a diagnosis. I learned how caring and personable all the staff were at the clinic and quickly decided that when we got our next fur baby we would be bringing it to Mission Veterinary hospital for any care, and we have!
