Dr Janet saved my dog. She was my second opinion and a recommendation from a friend for an accidental misdiagnosis from another vet. She was thorough, holistic, rational, empathetic and extremely professional. The staff there are all fabulous and make Piper feel as comfortable as possible. I can't say enough good things about their practice and I preach to all my friends about the sincere level of care that come from every member of the team. Thank you for helping piper come full circle and continuing to care about her rehab. Wouldn't think of going elsewhere.

The staff were immensely friendly and helpful and Dr Adam was gentle, kind and obviously loved animals. We are from out of town and ran into an issue with our dog. Dr Adam reassured us, offered the most affordable options possible and sent us on our way with everything we needed to know our dog would be just fine. We may never be back just because we live in Alberta, but I would recommend this clinic with zero hesitation.

Dr Janet Adams and the staff are amazing. Dr Adams was always there for us, she really heard us walked us through In detail what to expect and felt like we could lean on her. She always checked in on us. When our dog passed they sent us a card with loving messages from all the staff individually. Millstream vet has something very special, a staff that is involved , caring and right there when you need them. I would recommend them to anyone and when we are ready for another dog we will be going back. We are so very grateful for all of them and what they did for us during a very hard time. We receive terrible treatment from the staff( 2 front receptionist ) not a soul in there and they refuse to treat my clearly injured and limping 3lb teacup yorkie . They said they were booked but clearly no one else was even in the building . The vet was on the phone the whole time . They offer other vets much further away . They were unsympathetic, and so in caring and so sadly not empathetic ????????????. In the 15 minutes I pleaded for their help - non at all was received . We walked away untreated and Unhelped .

I cannot speak highly enough about the staff and teams at this vet clinic. Honest, no bullsh#t, just the way you want it to be vet clinic. I had to put my little guy down. No easy feat for anyone who's ever had to. The team looked after me and my dog, assured me and did everything they possibly could have for me to not have to go through with such a difficult decision. I wasn't rushed. I wasn't pressured. I was treated just like a family member. Thank you Millstream Hospital for everything!

Took our old pup in for a 2nd opinion after our main vet wasn't finding anything of concern with him, tho we knew something was wrong. They were wonderful with explaining everything they found (normal, as well as areas of concern) and suggested treatments that have definitely helped our old boy feel much better! We have now switched our vet to Millstream! :)

I took my cat to Millstream Veterinary Hospital after he was experiencing some respiratory issues. The staff at the clinic were knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly, very caring. Happy to report he was feeling better in no time at all! The clinic itself looks very modern, with state-of-the-art equipment. Obviously an excellent standard of care here. 10/10 would go back again!

This is a wonderful clinic staffed by an amazing group of caring people, esp Dr Adam. Their concern and compassion for pets and their owners is apparant when you first walk through the door. Months ago our little dog was hurt and in the course of only a few days we had to say goodbye to her. Not only were they very professional yet caring, they were very generous with thier time and effort through the whole ordeal. Even though we were distraught, they were patient and reassuring to us over multiple visits. We never felt rushed into in anything and when the the time to make the hard decision Dr. Adam was supportive and laid out the situation clearly. Even afterwards their care and concern continued with their very respectful and reverent manners. I cannot thank them enough for their support and care, Dr Adam and her staff are devoted and kindhearted people who love animals.

I can not stop telling people how great this vet is! I have had dealings with both Dr Liza as well as Dr Janet. They are both compassionate and knowledgeable. The front end staff (especially Mikala!) are equally compassionate and knowledgeable as well! This is the first vet that I have felt like I am fully aware of all of my options and felt not forced into making any decision. Everyone here seems to have your pets best interest in mind and I feel 100% at ease bringing my dog here! Both times I have had to come in, it has been short notice (My dog likes to ingest things he shouldn't!) and they have been extremely accommodating. They even diagnosed my dogs stomach problem and had a (excellent priced) prescription ready for him in 20 mins! If you are looking for a vet in the Westshore, I highly suggest coming here! They will be my regular vet from here on out. Oakley says thank you for making his belly feel better x2! EDIT - Ive since had dealings with Dr. Jocelyn and she is great too! We have continued to come back lately (3 times this month, lucky us!). Everyone (front staff, doctors and back end staff) are all consistently AMAZING. Makes spending multiple hundreds of dollars here a little bit easier.

I am writing this review today to let staff and the public know just how special the staff of this Veterinary clinic is...this is a dedicated and professional group with a level of empathy and compassion like no other I have ever experienced. We brought our large elderly dog into their clinic yesterday morning after his meds stopped being a functional treatment, in an end stage pain crisis which arose quickly for us causing distress for my partner and I. Every member of this clinic was kind and supportive during the worst moments of my life so far. They allowed us to show our dog the respect, love and mercy he so deserved in his final moments. I am a life long dog owner and have faced the horrific decision of euthanasia multiple times over the years and have never felt so cared for or supported through this difficulty. Thank you to this amazing group, you helped ease the pain of our loss through your gentle kindness. I was a sobbing disaster and you let me know it was ok. A million thank yous is not enough to show our gratitude. We are unbelievably fortunate to have had you provide our big Bruno his final care.

I've unfortunately had to take my dogs here a few times but most recently was for surgery to remove a growth on my dogs eyelid. The staff was absolutely amazing and the work they did on my dogs eye was even better. They stayed updated on my boys recovery the entire time and and were beyond helpful. I'm very protective of my dog and am sceptical of a lot of vets but the staff and the vet/surgeon were very accommodating. Will definitely be bringing my boy and girl here again! Would highly recommend!!

My kitty Sage has allergies that were causing her to itch herself till she was bleeding and covered in sores and bald patches. It was pretty terrible. But she has been great ever since she got her antibiotics and hypoallergenic cat food. The vet that took care of her was so kind and gentle and I wouldn't go anywhere else. They walk you through all the treatments and medications and explained very thoroughly how to treat my cat at home as well. They also were up front and honest about the prices and how much it will cost so there were no surprise expenses on the bill. It also wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be. And they give you a discount on the follow up checkup which is nice.

Lots of miscommunication, seems like there is always new office staff that don't really know what's up. The veterinarians are nice although I feel like a lot of my concerns and questions weren't relayed to them resulting in wasted time and a frustration.

Went to Millstream as a vet we previously used (and found amazing) in Courtney also moved to the South Island however I did not like our experiences post covid - they wanted me to tie my senior Saint Bernard out in the sun to come and collect him (they stated this was for covid safety) however they passed him to me at the end of the appointment. I found communication through the phone for the appointment frustrating. Since moving vets I was much more satisfied with my over all experience.

Dr. Janet Adams was absolutely wonderful! I brought both my pitbull/shar-pei mix and my 12 year old cat in for a check up today. Didn't have to wait at all, Janet saw us right away and answered all my questions. Both animals seemed very relaxed there, very friendly staff! I didn't feel rushed out the door. Janet was very knowledgable and gave me excellent advice! Would highly recommend going here, it was a great experience :)

Dr. Pottinger and the staff at Millstream are all so wonderful! I live in Southern California but was up camping around Vancouver Island for holiday. It was early in our trip when I saw my dog was peeing blood. I brought him in that day and we had surgery the next. He ended up having 5 decent size stones that would have blocked his urethra if they tried to pass, and HUNDREDS of tiny stones! They are so caring, patient and responsive at this vet. I worked in the veterinary field, myself, for about 10 years and felt like they were just so genuine. Honestly, I am a bit sad I don't live there so Millstream could be my regular vet!!

Wow... how impressed we were with ALL aspects of this fantastic clinic... extremely kind, friendly front line staff and clean, bright clinic as well. We just moved here from Kamloops ....and our lovely black lab who's only 7 years young is now their client..we felt so in sync with the thorough assessment done by Dr. Adam and appreciated not only her thoughts on moving forward with a plan for Rocky ...but also welcoming the use of supplements on top of his heart medication... ....she allowed us time to tell "our story'" ....and I never felt rushed... When you need a quality vet, my recommendation is to get the TOTAL package and come to this place!!!. Our fur babies mean the world to us, don't you want the best care they can get!!! Come here !!!!
