Was recommended Dr. Bedford and she is lovely, so good to our little guy Oakley, she never makes you feel rushed, answers all your questions. I went to another vet for almost 22 years that has since retired that was very good but have to say we hit the jackpot with Dr. Bedford. I would highly recommend Maple Ridge Veterinary Hospital and the great staff and Doctors! ????????????❤️

Dr. Paula Bedford and her team Marica and Dominika really were amazing. Our dog had a tumour removed on her leg, things didn’t go as smoothly and we hopped. But the team did everything they could to get her back to her healthy self. They were caring, understanding and compassionate. Our baby is on the mend, and I feel she’s always in good hands when I have someone take her inside without me.

I highly recommend Maple Ridge Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Bedford is a special find. They took the time to thoroughly examine and explain all aspects of the vet visit. They answered all my questions and addressed my concerns in a compassionate and friendly way. I appreciated my input being taken seriously, and I was given the tools to make my own informed decisions. I did not feel pressured to do any extraneous tests, and all recommendations I received were reasonable. I also really appreciated that this hospital does NOT seem to be driven by BigPharma, or by Pet Food Sponsorship, which is so often the case these days... and I sincerely feel as though my animals were in very trustworthy hands that genuinely care. For what it's worth, from my experience, this hospital is LGBTQ friendly.

Beyond disappointed. I took my puppy there for the second time to get his third round of shots (second since we got him) and am extremely disappointed in our second visit. We were told we could bring a pee sample in, which I did, and no one told me ahead that it had to be refrigerated and the vet said he could put a catheter up my puppy to retrieve a pee sample (not to worry) No thank you! He also said that he was due for his third set of shots (the reason we brought him in) and could get his rabies and also needed his heart deworming pill. I told him the last time we were there we received a heart deworming pill and that due to personal research and conversations with the breeder we were 100% not interested in getting the rabies shot at this stage. He gave him the rabies shot and I was almost billed for it, then was billed for another heart deworming pill without any explanation. When I pointed out the MASSIVE mistake of the rabies shot against our wishes, I was told not to worry they would cover it. I’m sorry, but you injected my dog with something I was completely against at this age. This by far was not ok, let alone suggesting putting a catheter for a urine sample in a 3 month old puppy. Complete lack of care for the puppy or my wishes - I would not recommend anyone go here unless they are looking for a veterinarian who is more interested in a money grab than being considerate and listens to your wishes.

I just moved to Maple Ridge and was looking for a new vet that could care for my senior English Bulldog. After reading google reviews I sent an email to a few vets. Maple Ridge Veterinary was the first of only 2 vets to respond in a very prompt manner. They then took the time to request my dogs medical chart from his old vet hospital before my first appointment. We had our first vet appointment with Dr. Gold and I can’t say enough about her! She was so thoughtful and thorough in her care. She identified all of my dogs current issues and suggested different possible levels of care. You can tell her passion for her job and the animals she cares for which I haven’t experienced with other vets. I would highly recommend Dr.Gold and Maple Ridge Veterinary Hospital.

My cat went here for 12 years before she passed. When it came time for her to cross the rainbow bridge, the staff were so caring and compassionate. I will never forget their kindness. My puppy now goes here as well. They have been very accommodating since covid-19 protocols were put in place. My girl just got spayed and they phoned the next day to check on her. Excellent service and amazing humans! I'll never go anywhere else!

I was happy before taking my dog to see Dr. Gold, but while she was away on leave I took my dog to see another vet. I was told they could do bloodwork or x-rays and that there was a concern of a potential slipped disc and pancreatitis. I was told the x-rays could show if there was a slipped disc and diagnose if he had pancreatitis so I took that option. The x-rays showed a blockage in his intestine and no slipped disc in his back and the vet said no pancreatitis found. My dog was given a shot for his tummy ache and I was told to take him home and feed him rice and chicken. That diagnoses was before 12pm. At 5pm I called back as he wasn't eating or getting better, he was crying and extremely lethargic. I was told to wait till morning and see if he eats. By 9pm I was in emergency and my dog was found to have extreme pancreatitis and the blockage hadn't moved, he needed 3 days of emergency IV fluids and was lucky to be alive. As it turns out, x-rays do NOT show pancreatitis. I was given wrong information which made it impossible to make the correct decision for my pet. If I had listened to this vet my dog would have died. I've since called with my concerns and was told I chose the wrong treatment. That response was unnecessary with zero concern for their mistake. The vet was wrong and it could have been the end of my dog. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. What a horrifying experience!

This is a fairly good place for your cat or dog. Be wary of leaving your pet overnight as they are left alone all evening and night until they open again in the morning.

I used to like this vet but the last time I went there with a concern about my cat the Dr basically just went with what I said and barely made an effort to examine my cat. I went to another vet who actually cares about animals over money and he said he wouldn't even touch the tooth yet and her teeth didn't need a 400$ cleaning! I paid 80$ for a 10 min conversation, with me basically talking. And she's fine! She was just meowing because she got outside and wanted to go back ???? The lack of care was astonishing.

We have used MRVH since1982. They have cared for many cats, and 4 dogs during this time. Most recently, our chocolate lab Murphy Brown, had a lump removed on her front leg. They have been very caring, calling this morning to see how she was doing today. Still recommend even after Dr. Kocheff's retirement several years ago.

My two dogs have spent a great amount of time here. Between them they've had several illness and surgeries and the staff here has dealt with them all professionally and humanly. Most recently I had to put one of my dogs down and they showed great compassion and understanding. I wouldn't trust my dogs to anyone but Dr. Tremblay. (And Dr. Bedford and Dr. Kocheff are pretty awesome too!).

My cat Lulu had her first appointment with Dr Paula Bedford yesterday for her arthritis. Lulu is an anxious kitty, and some people have called her bad names for her behaviour. Dr Bedford understands my Lulu and did everything she could to make the veterinary visit as fear-free and stress-free for Lulu as possible. Because of COVID, I am unable to enter the hospital with Lulu, so Dr Bedford took the time to describe how the exam went and how Lulu reacted. I really appreciate this, it's hard to see a new vet without seeing how they interact with your animal. I'm very impressed with how Dr Bedford handled Lulu, and I also appreciate how responsive the staff was with emailing me about supplements, calling me with lab results, and emailing me a copy of the invoice and lab results immediately on request. I've spent almost a year trying to find a new veterinarian for my Lulu since my previous vet moved to a different province, and I am so, so happy Dr Bedford is Lulu's new veterinarian. I highly recommend this veterinary hospital for anyone who has a fearful cat, they truly understand how to make the experience as stress-free as possible.

Took my cat here at opening hours, to find out they ONLY accept patients that are getting surgeries.. My cat was having troubles breathing which I told the lady, and she advised I went to Langley animal hospital. Which is quite a distance, so we went to the closest open hospital. My cat died on the way to that hospital. This hospital needs to be more specific on what hours they are actually OPEN, and they should not be turning away an animal that's having troubles breathing.. I lost a family member today, and I wanted to thank the lady working there for doing such an AMAZING job at taking care of animals.

We're so grateful that we chose to bring our dogs here! We've worked with both Dr. Upjohn and Dr. Niegos, and several members of the staff. In November 2020, one of our dogs became seriously ill very quickly, and we were able to get into an emergency opening and the staff acted very quickly to ensure that we were able to get him to a specialty emergency hospital and the urgent care he needed. Our other dog is extremely nervous around strangers (especially vets) and the staff always goes above and beyond to make sure that his best interests are always first, and that the experience is as quick and calm as possible for him. They've also answered questions by phone or email (to avoid bringing him in), and take the time to explain complex medical jargon to the "parents." I wouldn't hesitate to bring my dogs to the doctors and staff here!
