REVIEWS OF Eagle Ridge Animal & Bird Hospital IN British Columbia

Thank you Dr. Hardin for being the best doc for my bunny, Lucky. He's the only vet that actually spends time and listens to my concerns. He's very honest and he has never made me do unnecessary tests on him unlike the other vet. Lucky has lived a long life of 12+ years. I'm so glad that Dr. Hardin was there during his final hours.

Jon Task

Friendly staff, vet has been seeing my in-laws pets for over 2 decades. Not pushy with extra (not needed) vaccines etc. Recommended.

Chloe M

Very nice staff. I brought my hamster there several times. They were helpful and caring.

Marc Johnston

Absolutely wonderful people who care for your pet like it was their own. Professional, courteous and kind. Highly recommended

Sean MacPhail

They really care about animals, our baby gecko has been having a difficult time and they are helping us get him back on track. I wish they would get an avian vet soon cause we have some feathered friends that would love to go to this hospital too.

Josh Pratt

We've been taking our rabbits here for years. Generally the staff is friendly and helpful, but there seems to have been high turn-over in the past few years

Karen Giddings

I tried to book an appointment here twice. First time was the last week of August, my dog was sick and they told me the appointment would be in 10 days and offered to give me phone numbers of other hospitals. So I went back to my old vet in South Vancouver. Now my dog has another problem and today I tried to book again. Now they told me that the hospital is not taking new patients because of Covid. I understand to give preference to existing customers, but I recently moved to the area, I really need a new vet and I explained that I met Dr. Toledo in another clinic and I really wanted to have her as my dog’s regular vet, but they turned me away. I think this is very unreasonable and bad customer service. Obviously I give up on this clinic and we’ll have to find a welcoming animal hospital for my dog.

gaby mdl

Very good experience with my Guinea pigs.

Carol Anne Penner

Dr Hardin is terrific with our dogs. One of the dogs actually gets all excited to see him. The reception is great and always try to accomodate us when we need a last minute appt.

Lauren Welch

I would like to begin by saying that I am very surprised by the two less positive reviews as I have had nothing but positive experiences with these veterinarians, the vet techs, and the front desk staff. I have been going to this clinic for …

Francine Maxwell-Sayer

Even though what we thought was something simple, turned out to be fast spreading cancer, and our cat didn't have many options, the assistants and Dr. Stockley were awesome. The doctor even called us after we were told, "it's a matter of time" to check up on our wee cat. The outcome we had was not what we hoped, but I'm so very thankful for the wonderful staff who treated us well and genuinely cared about our animal.

Brett Hunt

Offered a free checkup after adopting a pigeon from the SPCA. Dr. Stockley was very helpful and gave me some medication to help with my birds broken leg.

Marietta Van Os

Dr. Stockley 1&2 are excellent quality veterinarians. Very much interested in you fur babies.

Erica Moore

Love them! The staff always take the time to answer my questions and concerns. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else!

Mary Ann Merchant

This clinic and their staff are awesome! I stepped on my baby parrotlet on a Sat. afternoon and they were the only clinic with a bird vet that was willing to see my bird Yoda that day. They fit him in at the end of the day as a drop in patient. He had a broken leg and Dr. Allan Stockley put a splint on, and Yoda spent the night. Unfortunately Yoda managed to pull off his splint and Yoda was booked for an appt to have it resplinted by a technician and a neck collar was put on at that time. After a month we went back to see Dr. Stockley and his leg had healed properly. Two weeks later I am happy to report that Yoda has made a complete recovery! Thank you so much to everyone at Eagle Ridge you are simply "the best"! Yoda says tweet tweet.

Cole Wyatt

Fantastic vet, they take amazing care of our two cats.

Gerald L

We bring our little BILLI in for care since she was a pup and the staff are very good with care. The docs are very knowledgeable and very professional as well.

Jimmy Liu

Been taking my pups here for the last 10 years. Dr Stockley and his team are very compassionate and kind. Top notch

Sabrina S

staff is helpful and dr stockley always takes good care of my babies. recommend to anyone!

Laureen S

Great customer service staff is very friendly and helpful.

Phil Johnston

Name of facility needs to be updated, unable to support birds as their bird vet has retired.

Erica

My bunny died the day I called them for help, three days after I had him in their office, and they refused to let me bring him in because they had other priorities

Morgan Woodbury

Friendly, informative, honest. Always willing to help

Yulia Kv

We took our puppy there for checkups, vaccinations and deworming a few times. We've seen 4 different doctors in total. Not sure if it's a common policy, but we felt that their council was always biased, geared toward the most expensive medicine, equipment, and procedures available. They strongly discouraged use of any products that were not provided by their “hospital”. Furthemore, the expenses paid in surcharges frequently doubled the originally quoted price. We did not mind paying extra as long as we knew that our pet’s health and safety was a priority, but we felt that they were willing to sacrifice it for their financial benefit. We no longer feel that taking our dog there is safe because there were times when their recommendations were clearly unprofessional, potentially harmful and often forceful (ex. early neutering for a large breed). In short: biased, money-oriented, unprofessional and forceful. Never again.

Natasha Leibel

Friendly staff and they deal with small pets! Had no complaints.

Sean M

Trust worthy and friendly doctors. Been taking all our animals to them for 10+ years.

David Porter

They couldn't get our puppy in on short notice, so we had to go to the emergency vet. We got a call later in the day just to see how he was doing. Great staff, very helpfully

Courtney Zeilstra

One of the most reasonable and most knowledgable vets for exotics. Only one I found that would take my guinea pigs in for grooming and check ups. Lovely staff

Storm Vos-Browning

The clinic helped me with an injured wild bird and didn't even charge for the xray. Friendly, compassionate staff. Based on this one experience, I would go back.

Emily Nicole Henschel

Staff is friendly and professional. Highly recommend

Glyn Williams-Jones

A great team of vets and technicians. They really take care of your pets as if they were their own. Have been with them for 10 years now and always appreciate their professionalism and kindness.

brian danay

Been twice to care for a pet rabbit. Staff and Vets were very approachable, knowledgeable and were very good at handling the bunny. Price checkup and fixing were very reasonable. Very caring group, wide array of animals they take care of.

kristina fanzega

My poor bunny was at deaths door and they saved her. I am forever grateful for them saving my precious Willow!! They are amazing!!

Mary West

Our Vet since 1998; very good with animals, love the Dr. Stockley's, father and son. Even when we had to say farewell to a couple of our furkids, Dr. Jeremy was so very kind and gentle; just want to say thank you to them for all the work and kindness!

Jannette Kotze

Very knowledgeable about birds and don't try and upsell me like other vets

شراره فریور

I had a terrible experience here. I dropped off my chinchilla to get checked out for an abscess on his foot. The male vet phoned and told me that there was no fluid around the wound and after my arguing with him he said he could do an x-ray which involves expense and putting a small delicate animal under anaesthesia. $80 later I receive a call with the vet telling me there is indeed fluid in his foot as if I hadn't just said that. He suggested that my 2 year old chinchilla had arthritis. I stopped bothering trying to communicate at this point and asked for metacam and baytril to treat him myself. No probiotics were included. This vet knew nothing about my pet and had no respect for me or any knowledge I might have. It was a terrible experience in a stressful time. Dr. Chow at Capitol Hill Animal Hospital in Burnaby is much more understanding, kind and experienced. *Edit: I didn't realize turnover of the vets was so high that my experience two years ago is now irrelevant. Glad to hear the doctor learned some people skills and how to examine a chinchilla in that time (or was let go?). Thought he'd have known by the time I came in but people make mistakes. It's just interesting that the doctor didn't see fluid build up in his foot until he had $80 more and an xray. Thanks for the reply!

Sara Reid (Ready-Set-Sparkle)

Everybody here is so friendly and they always take the time with you to explain everything that is going on with your pets.

Dominique Ritchie

I wasn't going to write a review after I left, paying close to $75 for a 10 minute chat with the vet and walking away without a diagnosis. I drove over an hour to come here, and then waited 45 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. I don't think you can be considered experts in your area and I won't be coming back. My bunny had a massive bubble of air on her head after she had about a 10 second rabbit fight the day before. We agreed that it was an air bubble and I was told it would go away within a month - but the reason as to how it got there went unexplained. I found this quite bizarre and so I decided to take up my own research. I am in the medical field myself but I am not a veterinarian, so my animal knowledge is limited. What she had is what is known as a subcutaneous emphysema - which explains her air bubble. What this doesn't explain is how it got there. If it wasn't blunt trauma, the next most likely cause is from an entry point (aka: a hole/cut/air bubble from a needle). Her head was so swollen and sensitive, she hid away from us in her hut within her home for 2 days until I discovered willow bark. Yes, this means I was not prescribed pain medication for her. As the air bubble has now decreased and she has the willow bark for pain, I have been able to touch her head without putting her through too much agony. I have discovered two large gashes (now with scabs thank goodness) that are on her face beneath her thick fur. I am honestly so upset that this was so simple but yet, went unnoticed. You only had to feel her face and move her fur around to see it. I understand people make mistakes- I do, we all do. The fact is this injury was significant enough that her skin was clearly bitten and torn away from her tissue, allowing the air to become trapped. The best news is that I believe she will be okay - no infection seems to be noted at this time. You can reply to my post like you have to the others who have complained but I won't be emailing you or calling you with further details - you have it all here.

Krishia Cousin

Wonderful service, patient staff

Cassandra Shewchuk

Dr Ong is so so good with my bunny Bentley. I will continue to take my bunny and any other pets I own in the future to this animal hospital! I love everyone there :)

RIDHA JAWAL

I was really surprised how ignorant and useless is the vet. He spent around 30 minutes talking nonsense without solving the problem about my bird sickness. He charged me $79 on the top for doing nothing. He was suggesting blood culture and blind tests that would cost more with no warranty .I found out that it's all about money, ripping off people. My advice is to stay away from this location and vets and think twice before giving your hard cash

Kali

My rabbit was spayed here. Shes still recovering but her wound looks like it was sealed up very nicely. She didn't eat for the first 24 hours which was scary but this hospital helped me through the steps to get her back on track. They gave me syringes for force feeding and medicine to boost her appetite, which worked quickly. I was so worried but my baby is getting better now and is giving me lots of kisses as she used to. Its been three days and she's laying around and chewing at her box like normal. ❤️

Kiera T

Very good place for reptiles, I have a leopard gecko and they handled her very well.

Mayo Santos

Very friendly staff. It's so obvious that they genuinely care about the animals. They went above and beyond when my puppy had kidney stones.

RespectivelyMe

One of the view places in the greater vancouver area that can work with rabbits

Sherilyn M

I have a hedgehog with a lot of skin problems, but the exotic vets here are fantastic. My little dude likes both Dr Khoo and Dr Harden, and both doctors have been good to him. I feel comfortable bringing my tiny grumpy family member here for his checkups and whenever he gets sick. The front desk staff are also helpful, and during covid, we have able to have the doctor call me for a consult which saved me money and saved my little boy stress.

Hao Chen

Dr. Whitehead is great, I would definitely recommend her. She’s so patient, clear, and really listened to our needs. It’s was tough to find a good vet, but she exceeded my expectations! Thank you!

sharon rooney

Hot day...went in to ask for water for the two small dogs i was walking. Very surprised ...Staff unfriendly and didnt really want to get any. Said they dont supply water to dogs because it was not healthy for dogs to drink from communal dish. Thet did eventually get a bowl for them. Guess i should have found a mud puddle.

mahyar khalilipour

Excellent service professional staff good place trust for taking your pets.

Brenna S

A very compassionate business and high overall quality of pet care.

Kevin Woolf

Nice staff and experienced doctors. A bit pricier than some I believe.

Niki Demant

Very kind, caring staff and excellent Covid safety protocols. Dr. Hardin was very thorough and took great care with examining my leopard gecko, Walter. Thank you!

Kevin Gould

The staff here are warm and friendly, the vet is great and doesn't rush through the exam or explaining it. They've provided great care for our cat before he was taken by damned wild coyotes, and are very caring for basic care and a recent sudden health issue with our Rhodesian Ridgeback. An attended overnight care option would be nice, but I understand this is complex and expensive to provide.

Tanya Fish

I've been so impressed with the care and service we've received at Eagle Ridge! My dog was diagnosed with Hyperparathyroidism, which involved an ultrasound, surgery and daily blood tests for 2 weeks afterwards - fair to say we've spent a fair amount of time here in the last few weeks! Each visit we were met by the friendly and helpful front desk staff and vet techs. Dr Sylvia was so informative and really took the time to explain everything in detail. She called to provide my dog's test results daily and was always available to answer the questions and concerns I had. This type of service is SO appreciated when you're worried about your pet's health and well-being and really helped to make a stressful time much easier. I really feel that she went above and beyond, even taking the initiative to call me when I returned from vacation to check in on how things were going. Thank you, Dr Sylvia and all the staff at Eagle Ridge!

K G

Eagle Ridge is wonderful. They go the extra mile to help you. We travel all the way from North Vancouver to see Dr Jeremy. He is so patient and wonderful with all our animals.

Liam Ling

I thought I was bringing my pets to a great animal clinic (judged by Google reviews). Until today, I accidentally discovered the 2 dollar antibiotics is charged for 48 dollar instead and 120 dollar flea prevention is charged for 190 dollar instead. I felt I was tricked and fooled by them! If they really wanted that extra charges, why wouldn’t they split the amount out of the medication which they pretended it is worth the money, and charge the amount as service fee or constant fee or something? There is definitely something fishy going on here. I don’t care how you structure your pricing and services. I found a place has fair price and services to take my pets to.

A K

Good price .very friendly staff.

R. Woodland Hunter

Highly recommend Dr. Stockley! I've had some communication issues with staff members, but at the end of the day it's the quality of the vet that matters, and Dr. Stockley is excellent.

Michal Lampa

This clinic it's a joke... Daughter had an appointment with her pet and the doctor saw her at the parking lot! Covid protocols are one thing but that's totally unprofessional. Didn't even look at the animal properly, 5 min conversation and …

Gina-Dianne Harding

This is a clean facility with pleasant, competent staff

M. Clark

We are very happy with the vet care that our fur kids receive from Eage Ridge. We tried other vet hospitals before finding Eagle Ridge and the care we get from this team is the top. The vets are knowledgeable and I always feel we are in great hands. The vet assistants are always helpful and kind as well. We are lucky to take our fur kids here! Thank you Eagle Ridge :)

Colin Moller

I have been bringing my rabbits here for years, and Eagle Ridge has given them all excellent care.

Lee Eden

Very professional. Friendly

Chris Austin

Had a checkup for my little guy Splinter as he's getting neutered next week - Dr. Ong is the best! Splinter is getting over a cold and I was under dosing his medication so she corrected me to the right amount. He's on day 8 of 10 and he's doing awesome. He will be healthy and ready for his operation date

Sheryel Harder

They are so good with my small animals

MARK BRENNAN

We had to put down our 17 year old girl, the Staff were very compassionate, and genuinely caring. We did not feel rushed and felt supported throughout the process

Dorota Zygmunt

Eagle Ridge Animal Hospital is an excellent clinic. Friendly and personable staff, accommodating appointment times, highest standard professional care, knowledgeable doctors. They also have boarding for dogs and looked after our dog when we went on vacation; our dog was very happy to stay there, I could see that they just liked him like their own. I would highly recommend this clinic. They make you feel that they truly care about your pet.

Derek Le

Best vet around. I've been taking my dog here for years. Everything from routine checkups to emergency situations. They always do a great job.

K l

Switched to this hospital from the previous one I've used for years. The vets care for your pet goes far beyond the money they get for treating them. I got my new dog fixed here. Not only did they have the best prices, but the surgeon …

Margaret Lee Blyth

The best Vet caring for all animals. They looked after all of my dogs all 7 of them

Paula Hughes (Sparklephly)

The best bunny vets in the Lower Mainland. So caring and gentle with the animals and their humans

Greek Squad

Very friendly and caring staff! Made us feel safe leaving our little rabbits in their care.

Maxwell Van Nus

These lil ladies had a great visit

Ava J

Great vet staff who have seen my rats and bunnies ♥

R Baynton

Wouldn't listen to our personal diagnosis suggestion and gave us a bill for $500 that gave no improvement for our cat. Her issue is still what we told them based on her persisting actions at the house. Also the anaesthesia used and paid had no effect for her second appointment (she isnt a fan of hospitals, let alone one that failed a vaccination and poked the needle through her years ago). Seems to be more so in it for the money rather than the care. Unlucky service I guess since we've been going here for more than a decade.

Michael Brewer Clowes

We always have a positive experience when we go here. This is appreciated for the reason we go isn't usually for a good reason. We have 2 cats.

Kim Nuessler

Amazing caring place to take your pets.

Valerie Wilson

**edited to note that the vet did call me back after reading my review. He apologized for the miscommunication and asked after my cat. Added another star based on his call. ** The staff seems nice but were all very scattered. I understand that places get busy but this seemed a bit much. They lost my cats medication and lost another customers special food order while I was standing there. The vet was friendly enough but didn't do any follow up with my pet. He told me to call him in the morning to see if my cat needed surgery, I did and he never returned my call. I called again later but still nothing. Very disappointed in this vet. Also seems like it's a little expensive but it would be worth the price if we had a good vet.

Jewels

Friendly and helpful staff...we had to say goodbye to our beloved pet and everyone there was so kind to our need and very sympathetic!

Kieran Bromley

Been taking my cats here since 2011 and I've never been more satisfied with the care and level of service my cats received. They're caring and considerate of both the pet and the owner. I can't recommend them enough! Thank you for all the years of service, it has always been appreciated!

Mo shay

Great doctors that are super friendly and can handle your pets wells. I trust my cats entirely with them and they're great at identifying the problem.

T Flup

Dr Jeremy Stockly andthe staff are fantastic... they even treat birds and small animals. They treat your pet like it is a member of your family not just animal. We have taken our bird Hank who broke her leg and was treated by dr stockly and she not o ly survived but her leg healed perfectly. Our Chihuahuas have been patients their entire lives and Dr Stockly always asks takes the time to examine them thoroughly. Highly recommend them.

Irene K

We had our bunny spayed at Eagle Ridge. The staff and doctors are so caring and knowledgeable in handling bunnies that we felt very confident with them. They called to follow up with us the following day. Our bun wasn't recovering too well …

Aida Hamkar

They've been my vet for years and I trust them more than anywhere else!!

Mariella Venier

Certified by the American Veterinary Association and counts with best Vets we have known. Highly recommended.

Susan Hooge

Very compassionate staff!! Had to discuss end of life for our pet.

Natasha Beaulieu

Don't bring your reptile to this Vet! I had been bringing in our Bearded Dragons here while Dr. Up John was practicing, and he was attentive and helped one of our Dragons with a parasite issue. Once Dr. Up John retired and Dr. Hardin took over, we have had nothing but poor experiences with our Bearded Dragons at Eagle Ridge Hospital. I brought our 5 year old female lizard to him regarding her condition. He went to do a basic check up and did not check her heart rate with the stethoscope, hastily looked at her and prescribed some medication. One day later I called to speak with him and asked why he did not listen to her heart, and he replied with, "We can't hear bearded dragons' heart beats with a stethoscope," which is absolutely preposterous. Also, either the reception gave us the wrong medication or he prescribed the wrong medication and our lizard's state got progressively worse. I will never know if it was because we were given wrong medication that we were forced to euthanize her at another qualified reptile Vet. This other reptile Vet suspected that Dr. Hardin had given us the wrong medication, causing our lizard's immune system to weaken and fail. We will never bring our other healthy and happy 8 year old lizard here after our experience with Dr. Hardin. I'm sure they're great with dogs and cats, but they are not experienced with reptiles. Only the retired Dr. Upjohn would be considered a reptile expert at this Vet Hospital.

Peewee Kiwi

The staff are kind and professional. Doctors are good with animals, other hospital couldn’t do examinations for my dog without putting her into sedation because she’s super stubborn and wouldn’t cooperate, but Eagle Ridge doctors somehow …

maddie bernardo

Great reptile vet!

Emily Lidman

I have been bringing both of my bunnies here for roughly a year and have been more than satisfied with the knowledgeable, experienced vets and staff, the quality of care provided, and the reasonable prices. Dr. Allan Stockley performed my 2 year old, previously overweight bunnies mature spay, which can be a very complicated procedure and he did an excellent job. She had no complications and was back to her normal self quickly! My other bunny's spay was also done very well and the stitches were very neat and tidy. When she stopped eating after the surgery, the staff both coached me through the next steps I should take over the phone, and called the next day to ensure she was improving, which she did rapidly. I am in the midst of some unforeseen medical problems in my youngest bunny beginning with GI Stasis and now progressing into a potential bacterial infection and she has been seeing Dr. Sylvia. She takes the time to listen to me, was very quick to call me back when placed on her 'call back list' and helped us to solve our stasis problem quickly. I'm thankful to have such a knowledgeable and compassionate veterinarian and team caring for my bunny.

Kristine Baril

Absolutely wonderful place, and the only vet I'll trust with my rabbits. Staff are very friendly, and the doctors are extremely knowledgeable. Can't recommend them enough, especially if you've got a bun!

Jenny Lumia

Dr. Hardin and the staff at Eagle Ridge Animal & Bird Hospital are very kind and professional. When we first brought in our little hedgehog three weeks ago, she was diagnosed as terminally ill. We decided to bring her home to let her enjoy the rest of her life as she pleased since she was still strong enough to enjoy the activities she loved the most. Dr. Hardin was supportive of our decision and he even checked in on Kiwi a few days after our appointment. When it was finally time to say goodbye, the staff were very accommodating and kind and they gave us ample time to say our final goodbyes to our little one. I recommend this animal hospital to anyone who has small, exotic pets. Your babies will be in good hands at this hospital :)

Annette Parkes

I can highly recommend Dr. Lin Khoo for anyone caring for rats, mice or other small mammals.

Alex Bromley

Amazing! They have been so good to me and my kitties. I honestly can't recommend them enough. Best vet ever!

Arthur Keung

Ive been coming to see Dr. Whitehead for almost 2 years since we rescued our dog. She was very patient, friendly, and thorough on explaining everything we asked, as well as giving us helpful reminders to better our dogs life. Highly recommend seeing her as she is awesome!

Jesus Saucedo

great staff providing amazing care for our pets

Jade Andersen

Dr. Stockley is cruel and uncompassionate. He was unwilling to help my bird in an emergency because he was done his shift for the day and had another appointment. There were no emergency clinics who were willing to take birds available …

Jeffrey Quigley

I have to drive 40 mins to get to this place but they're the best option when my bunnies need something checked out.

Kelly Abram

My dog loves the staff here. Best clinic ever :)

Melanie Wilson Hamadani

This is such a late review, but better late than never... :) I came to this animal hospital back in June 2016, when my budgie unexpectedly passed away :( I had left the night before with my boyfriend to visit our friend in Nanaimo, and we were back on the ferry the next day when my brother called me and told me the bad news. My poor boy Spirit.. I was and still am devastated to say the least. I called Eagle Ridge about cremation, and they told me I could come in right away. The woman who helped us pick out an urn and such was so kind, when I was crying, she started to tear up too and gave me a hug. I even requested if they could keep a couple of his feathers for me as a keepsake, and they did that for me of course. I picked Spirit up I think 2 days later and the company that does the cremation service even included a cremation certificate. The next week I unexpectedly received a "With Sympathy" card from Eagle Ridge Animal Hospital with all the staffs signatures inside. I just thought that was so sweet, and thoughtful. Thank you Eagle Ridge Animal & Bird Hospital for being so gracious, and I appreciate the care and service I & Spirit received. <3

Elena Koutorjevskaia

The most best help for your pet's needs!

Teresa McDonald

Don't need their services very often but when we do they are always kind and accommodating. I never have to wait very long to get our pets in. We lost our dog to Cancer a few years ago. Eagle Ridge were very sweet and took good care of our pup. Would recommend this veterinary hospital to anyone.

Liisa Saarela

Was in and out pretty quick. We only had to wait 15-20 minutes while our rabbits got check ups, shots and nail trims. No access to a washroom and you need to wait in your car, but there's a McDonald's a few steps away.

Kathryn Pratt

Best vets in tri city

Timothy E Brummund

This is probably the best veterinarian animal hospital you will go to! The staff is incredible!

J Xmilar

What an amazing place. The staff and doctors are just awesome. Friendly and kind. The staff takes their time to socialize with your dog... They all just love my girl Bella ! Awesome work team

Ryan Gardner

My dog passed away in the summer and they were very polite and understanding. They helped arrange all my boys final arrangements and were very kind. Id give them a thousand stars if i could.

Robbie Rivard

Dr. Jeremy is a great doctor for my lil girl Billi he also knows how to calm the fur babies parents too in time of crisis. My lil Billi will be keeping him as her Vet. The staff in front are always very helpful also. Just a great experience. Thank you.

Shari O'Neill

They treat your pet with love and care

Jennifer Fulljames

Helen is very good, she is very kind and an expert at her art. I love my nails every time!

This vet gave my cat extremely toxic medication that almost killed her without taking the time to explain the medication, it's side effects and what to watch for. They told us it would be as simple as taking once a day asprin for a heart condition. In the end my cat ended up losing her ears and tail at an extreme cost to us with no help from the vets office. DONT NOT COME HERE IF YOU VALUE THE LIVES OF YOUR ANIMALS!!!!

Frank Kaminsky (Frank K)

My 17 year old dog was dying of old age. He was suddenly crying in pain. He was too old and weak to be moved to the hospital. I needed some advice to help him pass peacefully and painlessly. I called the hospital and told them the …

Court Bru

Great animal hospital thats deals with ALL animals. Not all vets take hamsters but they looked at and saved my hamster from wet tail. So happy

A Mumford

The staff here was amazingly caring and supportive during our emergency trip to the clinic with a very ill guinea pig. Will definitely be bringing our other little piggies in as needed. They were respectful and compassionate and made a very stressful situation much better.

Sandra Davidson

They treat your pets like their own. Especially Kelly. My cat loved her and she lived my car.

Kayvan Rahmati

Great hospital with vets who take the time and talk it through. I have been here for my dog and birds so it is nice that they handle birds also. Waiting area has plenty of comfy seating . Long running vet as it shows and would recommend to others.

Petra Ludde

I brought my cornsnake in for an exam and they were so professional and welcoming, from booking the appointment to paying for the service. ???? I found a new vet. Highly recommend this place.

Neil F

First class service.

Toni Wright

They're wonderful and helpful

Faron Woodcock

Great staff ,Very professional and knowledgeable. I have trusted them with my pets for years.

monica raynolds

Worst place to take your pet. My friends gliders died because of wrong care from them. Also they are handling sugar gliders with welding like gloves. Never take your pet there.

Robert Pottinger

The staff here truly care about animals. You can tell they are not just in it to make money. When told my rabbit had 2 broken legs and a broken tail, the staff were very comforting when euthanasia was a considerable option. The xrays were very well priced and so were all their fees. I ended up having one of the broken legs amputated and the other leg was calcified as it was an old injury from before i got my rabbit. The veterinary staff here are top notch. Ive had alot of bad experiences with many vets but this is on my list of just 3 places I trust with my animals.

Gary Pilchak

These guy won't sell flea pills unless we get a cats examined by them even though we have vet they ran out these guys want us to spend more money on an exam for cats when all we needs was the flea pills makes no sense i said so our cats have to suffer cause you can't sell the pills and woman said yes that is crazy worst customer service ever all so they can make more money

foster dawg

Is a 10 minute exam on a rabbit and worth $86.00? I think not. They did trim his nail for free though. Last time we use this vet.

Donna Wollf

The staff and doctors always give my dog the best care!

Super friendly and knowledgeable. I have a 10 week old puppy and I've never owned a pet before. They answer all questions and they treat him like there own. Even during this hard time.

Bob West

They cared about my Gecko.

Brad Tanner

Carrying compassionate staff who always do their best even in even the busiest parts of the day

Went to this location for a few check ups and annual shots for my cat. Overtime I noticed my cat was itching in a specific spot and had bit all her fur off in that one area. I brought my cat in to make sure everything was okay and they told me it could be fleas or an allergy. They treated her for fleas and gave me some liquid prednisone to administer. Over two weeks the itching was worse and I brought her back. The vet was very short with me, barely looked at my cat and told me she has psychogenic alopecia. He said that she needed to go on Prozac and she would not be the same cat. After speaking to a few friends, they told me to get a second opinion so I went to a different vet. The vet was caring, patient, researched and asked all the right questions. The vet told me that they would never put a cat on Prozac unless it was the last resort. After a few tests, the vet put my cat on predisone but pill form. Within a week my cat was feeling better and stopped itching. I am glad I went to a more caring vet who took the time to help me figure out the issues with my cat instead of trying to instantly put her on Prozac. I would highly recommend getting a second opinion if you do not trust this location's decisions.

I've always loved this animal hospital.

Brought our beloved bunny Thomas who had injured his eye very badly after running into something. It was very heartbreaking. We took him to another clinic in Iangley and were told to euthanize him :(( it was very heartless for the vet tech …

Sean Franzen

Dr. Ong is amazing! great at diagnosing symptoms in our senior pets and coming up with good solutions that work. The staff here is super friendly and knowledgeable as well, they truly love animals.

Gail Flasch

They are friendly and caring. Take great care of my pets

This is the first time I went to this clinic. I need to get a animal health certificate for my niece's chinchilla to be exported to HK. We have tried one time before, it was not accepted by the government of HK. There are many details that need to be filled according to their requirement even with the format. Dr. Ian Hardin is very patient. We changed about 5 times to meet the requestment. I would really appreciate Dr. Ian's help. I will recommend this hospital to anyone who is in need.

Corrie Chow

Dr. Ong is amazing! She is very caring and knowledgeable about rabbits. I really appreciate that I've been able to communicate with her via email to work through my bunny's health issues. I make the trek from East Van to Coquitlam for my furball's care because of her.

Andrea Cromartie

I have been taking my cat to Eagle Ridge for 9 years. They are so good with him and have great advice for keeping him healthy.

Tracy Steer

Best veterinary care ever! These guys are amazing.

Updated review: This hospital has refused to neuter my pet unless I do vaccines first. Sadly, they are in the money making business now, too, regardless of what the animal or the owner needs or wants. Following is my previous review: I've been here with my dog, my bunny and my cat. I've always received accurate diagnoses and great quality care. I have seen several vets and they have always been reliable and trustworthy. They do not run unnecessary tests just to increase the bill. However, when I had an emergency with my cat, they were unable to accommodate me and got recommended to an emergency clinic.

We have been bringing our dogs here for 15 years. Besides the long waiting times for appointments, we were nothing but happy with their services. Until Monday. We had just brought our 15 year old Australian Shepherd in on the Friday for a check-up and to express our recent concerns. The vet sent us home with a pain med for her. As she progressively got worse over the next few days, we realized it was time to let her go. Monday morning we called to book a Euthanasia appointment as our dog was in much discomfort. After offering us an appointment, they said "never mind, it just booked up" and told us they were unable to accommodate us that day. After 15 years of service, they decided they were unable to accommodate a dog in distress. Disgusting and incredibly disappointing.

Excellent service all the time. Have been taking my dog there since he was a puppy. Now we live an hour away and I still take my dog back to Eagle ridge. Great vets and nurses work there.

I used to take my first rabbit here when Dr. Upjohn was there. My rabbit then passed away and Dr. Sylvia was very compassionate. I take my two rabbits here now and I used to have Dr. Sylvia but then she left the hospital. Currently found it difficult to speak to front desk about the vaccine for my buns. They were very brash and had some attitude. Did not receive any reassurances of any sort. This soured my experience so much so that I ended up taking them to head and tails in Maple Ridge where Dr. Upjohn now works. Dr. Sylvia also moved to the Shaughnessy Vet Hospital. Front desk staff at head and tails were more welcoming and took the time to discuss our options and the reasons behind the cost of vaccines. Also costs were very reasonable.

I brought my hedgehog into Eagle Ridge after struggling to find a clinic that had any experience with them. Dr Lin Khoo was amazing and so very gentle with me and with Harlow. In the end we did have to put Harlow down due to the pain she was in but I made that choice being well informed and truly felt Dr Khoo knew what was going on vs other previous vet trips elsewhere. They also got me in very quickly considering I had been taking Harlow to another locations before. The rest of the staff were excellent as well and were very helpful in getting the paper work done quickly and in the room after I was in tears from making the choice. If you have a hedgehog trust me I've called around and looked to find vets and this is the place you need to come to!! Thank you to Dr Lin Khoo and all of the staff at Eagle Ridge Animal Hospital. Your animals are in safe and loving hands with them.

Denise Ikuta

Love Dr Ong. Will follow her anywhere! She's our vet for life!

Eric Griffin

Best vet ever. Unlike others they deal with more then just dogs and cats

Trevor Bjorklund

Very thorough and caring vets. The staff seem to genuinely love animals and it shows. Nothing really negative to post on this but just make sure that you confirm your appointments. There is sometime some confusion.

Samantha L

Caring and compassionate from all staff the moment you enter. Dr Hardin was amazing. He was informative..Completely upfront about treatments and costs. Super clean.

Renee Wright

I took my 3 year old cat here to update his shots. Everything went seemingly well and I brought him home. The next morning he was not himself, legs shaking in pain, hissing at me and not eating. I was very worried. When I called eagle ridge they had me come in and drop him off for the day (was stressing about the cost of that but it had to be done) they took him in and found he had a fever. After 1 hr of fluids and a shot of antiinflammatories I was set to pick him up. When I had gotten there and was ready to pay I was told the fees for day admittance, emergency walk in and the check up were all waved. I was very grateful.

The staff is terrific. Dr Laura Whitehead was wonderful with our Daisy . There is only so much the vet could do to help our golden and unfortunately she passed away in January. I definitely recommend this clinic

Ryan H (FadedEchos)

Expensive. Reception was friendly and helpful. The vet himself repeatedly pushed for I.V., hospitalization, and continuing treatments both initially and once my cat was visibly recovering with no signs of requiring that. The medications worked, but the upsell was very off putting and I won't be returning since I felt the vet's recommendations were based on his finances rather than my cat's best interests.

Uday M.

Had an appointment at 2:20pm. Showed a few minutes early waited the reception was on the phone. Stood at the counter put my pet on the seating area. Got tired of standing so I sat down. Saw the reception get up go to the back, so I stood up when she came back in and she didn't even acknowledge me. Stood there again waiting for her, than just sat down with my pet again. Now it's almost 2:43pm way past my appointment. Still got no acknowledgement. At this point I just got up and left. Call another Vet place and ended up there. If I could I would give no stars. Will not be referring anyone here anymore. Thanks for wasting my 1 hour plus I had to go to another veterinary clinic.

Tony Stoeff

Great place, vets and staff there are awesome. Trust them completely with our pets.

Aubrey Barnes

Went to eagle ridge animal hospital and dealt with dr. whitehead, she’s amazing and she was so understanding and attentive when my cat was sick, she gave me all the options on what I could do and seemed to genuinely care for me and my cat. From here on out she’s the only vet I will use and I highly recommend her.

Danielle Porter

This is the best vet clinic! Dr. Allen Stockley is wonderful and truly cares for your animal like it’s his own. I have never felt rushed and they have always taken the time to ensure Daisy is properly cared for. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone!

Terry Banford

It has gotten very expensive and they dont let you know the cost before proceeding

Byron Vallis

I took my chickens here and the vet was not familiar with chickens and didn't recognize what I later found out was a fairly common deformed feather follicle. He had no idea what it was. A few months later I phoned to get the weights of my chickens from their records and they had only written it as Chicken #1, #2, and #3, not even by colour! So there was no way or knowing which was which. Staff is friendly and the office is nice but I won't be going back.

Andrea Nguyen

Great staff. Knowledge doctors. Very clean and doesn't smell like it's full of animals. Been going here for 5 years. The staff aren't pushy which is great.

Paul Einarson

Have always had good experiences at Eagle Ridge Animal hospital, whether it be for our dogs or our gecko. Good vets and good staff.

Kevin Batdorf

They were very friendly and the vet answered all of our questions.

Heather MacKinnon

Always have a good experience here. Our dog is not afraid of the vet thanks to the loving staff! …

My dog was hit by a car and the staff was absolutely amazing. Helped her immediately and gave me a private room to wait in while she was treated. Will be back. Thank you so much for helping my girl.

Marianne Sweet

All my pets over the past 20 years, combined with all my family have brought many fliffues there, even the reception is as great as the doctors

Barry Jenkins

Very nice and caring staff. My wife and I brought in our sick ferret and they gave him the best care we could have asked for. They talked over all of our options and made us feel comfortable with making the right choice. As sad of a time as it was, I could not have been happier with the service, respect and care that everyone there showed us. Thank you again everyone at Eagle Ridge Animal Hospital ♥

Kaitlynn Francis

I don’t think I’ve ever been to a more thorough or compassionate vet as Dr. Ong. While she has only been my vet for a short period of time, I am SO impressed. Not only did she listen to my concerns that other vets wrote off as nothing, my dog is finally on the mend because she actually listened to me. She was so through with my dog and did her assessment at the speed my boy was comfortable with. She followed up with a phone call to check up on my dog which was greatly appreciated. I can not recommend her enough!

Winston Lin

Friendly staff. Vets are great and attentive to all 3 of my pets

Crystal Edge

This vet office is great. Staff really caring and knowledgeable. I've been bringing my pets here for years, from my rabbits to all my dogs. Vets explain everything well, answer questions and I feel good about my pets care

Sheila Q

I won't take my pets anywhere else! The entire team is so kind and knowledgeable and wonderful with my dog and cats.

Mark Robins

Great Staff. Friendly and helpful.

If you have a sugar glider please do not bring it to this vet. They don’t actually know how to treat or diagnose a sugar glider. My younger glider got sick and had diarrhea brought her in and the vet was wearing welding gloves to handle her. He then suggested I think about quality of life because she has diarrhea and lost some weight. There was no trying to figure out the cause or try different things. He gave me an antibiotics for 2 weeks and things for significantly worse. My young glider has SEVERE diarrhea now 100x worse than it was when I bought her in. The other glider got sick an so I called another vet who actually cares and is well educated on sugar gliders. He handled both my girls with such care and was talking to them and even cleaned the younger one off cus the antibiotic gave the younger one way more diarrhea then she had. He prescribed me 3 different meds after testing the fecal. The antibiotic I received from this vet apparently a side effect is diarrhea. Makes no sense
