Crisis averted. Our new puppy had hurt it's front leg. We had tried a nearby emergency clinic but the wait was going to be hours. A friend recommended this vet and they were able to take us immediately. Puppy turned out to be fine, but having the certainty so quickly helped what could have been a long expensive night elsewhere! Definitely will be going back when it is time for shots and neutering.

Okay, where to start... My cat had a big tumour in her mouth and Dr.Om said she had gingivitis. He didn't prescribe blood work and if he did at the time this might of not happened to the degree it has.I had to keep going back to the clinic and it was just a super upsetting situation. Like a tumour and gingivitis are such different things, he even told me to brush her teeth, can you imagine the pain that would of caused her... Dr.Om also told me to force feed my other can when he was dying and wouldn't eat. I honestly think he should have his licence revoked. I basically learned he doesn't diagnose properly and gives really bad advice. Do not force feed an animal. I took his advice and now I have to live with it for the rest of my life. This situation doesn't even deserve 1 star

dr.om was away and they had another vet look at my cat, he pushed and pushed to get me to say yes to a rabbies vaccine for my 100% indoor cat, he administered it in the wrong area (between shoulders, protocal has been back right leg since 2010) and she had an adverse reaction and a hard growing lump at the vaccine site. they do not use proper vaccines or proper protocol, do your animal a favour and find a better vet.

This place charged me $90 for an 8kg bag of Hill's prescription diet dog food. Fleetwood Veterinarian charges me only $69! Do the math. That should be illegal. It's just a money grab for them. Go somewhere else.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Misdiagnosis, extremely rude, disorganized, and terrible business practice. My dog was diagnosed with a heart murmur. Dr Ohm flat out told me it was my fault. Was giving my dog more medication than she needed. Also when my dogs medication ran out. They had no access to the meds she needed. No diet alternatives offered. Which I just found out from another vet that there is, and in most cases she will no longer have to take one of her medications if she continues on this diet. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how anyone has given this vet a 5 star! ????

I've left the same review on yelp - yes I was that happy with these guys. I've been trying out different vets in my area (north surrey) and in Vancouver and none of them was as fair, honest, efficient and friendly as the vet and his staff at Cloverdale animal hospital. I got a recommendation from a friend about this clinic and although it's about 30min away from my house (and I've get numerous vets much much closer to my house) - I decided to try that vet. My dog is 4 and had a wart and a bump growing on his side and the vet recommended to remove them both. I got a very very reasonable quote right in stop with no hidden fees and we even managed to schedule the surgery for the same day. The vet and his staff were unbelievably friendly, accommodating and knowledgable and they answered with patience all my questions and showed lots of compassion and care towards my pup. All was done that day, my pup is now healing and i cannot be more grateful to the vet and his staff for the amazing care and generally a great business practice. I would absolutely recommend anyone to visit this clinic if needed even if it's not that close to where you live - it's worth to deal with an honest and carrying vet especially when taking care of a beloved pet. Great job!

It's never a fun time when you have to go to the veterinary clinic. It's usually because your loved pet is not feeling well. Fortunately, the staff at the Cloverdale Animal hospital made me and my cat feel right at home. Ignore the negative reviews on here that are conveniently promoting other vet clinics.... Dr. Om is truly a fantastic vet and saved our dog's life. He is very caring to the animals and his clients, and is extremely good at what he does. He will always be our vet! His staff are awesome too, and we especially like being helped by Amber at the front desk. When we brought in Suzie for the first time years ago, our previous vet was not doing anything to solve her serious declining health issues. As it turned out, he actually was slowly killing her due to incorrectly prescribing the length of the medication. We had no idea the medication was the root of the problem, but Dr. Om figured it out quickly. With his knowledge and care, Suzie lived many many more years and her symptoms went away. Plus he's helped with many other visits we've needed for our dogs including dental work and general concerns. We highly recommend Dr. Om!

We took out dog Sam in to see Dr Om and he and his colleague spent over and hour with Sam evaluating her and explaining how we should be treating her. He didnt try to upsell us and even gave us free food to give our dog. Highly recommend this Dr, he seems to really care.

I wish I could select 0 stars.. My experience was so awful I didn’t even let them take a look at my dog. The first person we spoke with was the receptionist who was very rude and who made us feel very unwelcome. First thing they did was weigh him then she told us we could head into the room and wait for the vet in there. All of the sudden we hear shouting. Like I’m talking shouting... a lady is yelling at the veterinarian in the room next to us. All we heard was that it was a service dog and they didn’t follow her instructions and they could’ve prevented something. We didn’t catch everything we just heard her scream at him and how angry she was. Now I’m in customer service... I get angry customers from time to time, but what happened next I couldn’t believe. The vet starts yelling back at her and yells even louder.. All I could hear him say was he didn’t do anything and she shouldn’t be yelling at him. I looked over at my boyfriend and we got up and left. I don’t care how angry a customer makes you, you are never allowed to yell at someone like that. I was appalled at the behaviour and I will never go back. Ever!

This vet was recommended to me by a Cloverdale local. I brought my cat here for shots and to be spayed after my sister passed away and I inherited the cat from her. Turned out she was pregnant so the surgery was far more extensive and would have been way more costly than a normal spay. The vet heard about my situation and mitigated the costs significantly for me. I was very impressed with everything this clinic has done. :)

I can't say enough about the the compassion and care my dog Mowgli received from this vet. I came here from New Westminster because they recommended by a friend. He was caring but pragmatic and if it wasn't for Dr. Ohm and his caring staff we would not have had the goodbye we needed. They also took at least a few thousand of his final bill for his surgeries and medicine because of me being on a pension. I would guess he did everything at cost. And again, anyone who says they are prejudice against bully breeds, they showed Mowgli, a bull mastiff, all the love in the world. Thank you Dr. Ohm to you and all your staff.

I was unable to get into my usual vet before heading out on vacation and this was the only vet offering a drop in opportunity. I was able to get in promptly to see the vet along with get the necessary meds for my dogs ear infection. I was quite disappointed with the staff working the desk. They were far from professional and have left me wondering how they have such a good rating. The office itself is not exactly inviting and looks as though its just run down. I contacted the office requesting my pets health record, then was told it would be emailed by end of day. A week later I reached out again requesting the necessary documentation to submit an insurance claim. I was told that I could not get them as that's not what they do. I explained that this has never been a problem and didn't understand why no one said this couldn't be done. The head clerk (who's Far from professional) said that they have over 500,000 clients and can't do everything. Didn't know half of Surrey visited this vet.... Long story short, I would highly recommend going anywhere but here! My dog is my world and I want to know that the services I pay for are quality.

Our 8 month old cat Filo went missing for 2 days. We thought the worst and our grandchildren were so upset. My husband woke me on the thirds day daying Filo was home and something is very wrong with his leg. Sure enough he is dragging it. Must be broken real bad i thought. He was happy and eating, not crying. I went to our vet and waited for them to open The receptionist called the dr right away. He came and he said it was a very bad break. However after his xray he showed me. It was brken in 3 spots! The dr said they could put plates in it or amputate. Being so young and still growing the plates may not be guaranteed to work. We opted for amputating. After his surgery the vet said it would of been the only way to save his leg. There were bones shattered in the muscles. They vet went as far as giving me his personal phone number and said even if its 1, 2 am call me if you need. The entire staff have been so awesome and compassionate. As for Filo hes doing awesome the day after. Walking around on his 3 legs like a champ, eating and drinking water, but most of all purring and so happy! I can't say enough good things about this dr and his staff. We are forever grateful. From Filo's family. ♥️

I would like to state to the negative comment below about the dr screeming at the client. First of all don’t put it all on the doctor because you were not in the room and could not hear what was being said or done. The client you are referring too brought an animal in with a huge wound. After surgery the dog began to irratacaly bite it’s self and the dr intervened to save the dog from self harm. During This time the dog attacked the doctor causing him to have injury to his hands and need stitches. This owner was screaming at the doctor because she was upset the dog had bit and she acted irrational even tho doctor didn’t take action towards her or the dog. He simply was explaining what occurred. No owner should grab or touch the doctor at any time out of anger! So please don’t slander the doctor or clinic without correct information. You are more then welcome to go elsewhere for treatment.

There is so much wrong with this clinic, I don't even know where to start. The level of disorganization and unprofessionalism is astounding. When trying to make an appointment, they often refuse and just tell you to drop in. When you drop in they are of course full, and the only way to get in is wait multiple hours or demand they schedule you an appointment for another day. My dog had a corrective surgery in February that was unsuccessful, so they offered to redo it. However, everytime I tried to schedule the second surgery with them they said they would call me back and NOT ONCE, did they follow through. After SEVEN MONTHS, I was finally able to get back in. They waited until my dog was put under to call and tell me they couldn't redo the surgery. They then proceeded to cut his nails on 3/4 paws. Ive never seen a dog's nails cut so poorly, they were tattered and broken, and I have way more success cutting his nails when he's concious than they managed to do with him passed out. They frequently have a lack of communication when explaining what they plan to do with/ give your animal, and the unprofessionalism when trying to get your animal in for a visit is astounding. I would highly recommend seeking another vet.

i do NOT recommend this vet to ANYONE. they do not care for your animals nor do they have the proper updated technology to properly care for them. for starters, they are so disorganized and unclean. they have called me multiple times about stuff i have ordered, that isn’t even for my dog. after blood was taken from my dog for a test, my dog was bleeding everywhere and they didn’t even put a bandage on her and left the blood on the floor. the receptionist changes every week, i have never even met a vet assistant nor vet tech there, which is concerning. they gave my dog thyroid medication, with not even a proper name of the medication on the bottle nor the proper dosage & as well they kept crossing out on the medication when to take it. i took my dog in a panic to them a few days ago, when she was clearly very ill only for them to be rushing me out because it’s at the end of the day and they wanted to go home. the vet was YANKING her tail to get her to come closer to him, i can’t imagine what goes on behind closed doors with our pets. it makes me sick! also, they did a blood panel but did not put “URGENT” on it even though my dog was clearly so ill she was turning yellow in her eyes. they said it was a “bug” that she caught, and sent her home with pills to help nausea. dr om didn’t even hook her up with an iv to help with her dehydration. within 12 hours she became critically ill, she almost died. they never even called to ask how she was the next morning. they called me at 3 pm that her blood panel wasn’t normal, it also took them so long for them to even send the blood panel to the current vet that was helping me. if they had the proper technology, like snowden animal hospital does, my dog wouldn’t be so ill. snowden animal hospital did a blood panel & got the results INSTANT, they were so quick & eager to help my dog. i have never felt this way with cloverdale animal hospital EVER. the vet at snowden hospital found out what was wrong with my dog within an hour, and saved her life. your lack of care almost killed my dog, i will NEVER step foot here again. maybe change your damn hours if you’re wanting to go home earlier & always rushing. & maybe if you weren’t so money hungry you would advise your customers when you’re unable to care for their animals at the time, to go somewhere else. somewhere else that won’t rush us & actually has the time to take care of our animals.

Dr Om and his staff were great with an emergency proceedure with my dog swallowing an object. He gave me time to question and consider the alternatives, even when he knew what needed to be done. If they had sent us to the emergency hospital instead, it would have cost WAY more (it was very close to the end of the day and he and the staff had to stay late to complete the proceedure). We're thankful for our dog's health.

I am so thankful for this vet and the wonderful treatment they gave to my dog and to us! Brought my young dog here immediately after a very negative experience at a local vet regarding something she had injested that was making her ill. The vet and supporting staff at Cloverdale Animal Hospital were reassuring, very kind, and had our dogs best interest in mind. Within a few hours we had our happy healthy dog back and the cell phone number of the vet if we had any questions or concerns. I left there feeling very grateful for places like this and peace of mind that my dog was given the best care. THANK-YOU! :)

2/2 for the receptionist! She was nice the entire time to me as I was embarrassingly freaking out. The vet is a very intense individual, that is loud and kind of scary. Therefore he seemed very aggressive with my cat and condescending with me. I'm glad the receptionist took over for him. She made it a lot better. The clinic does need to take more time with cleanliness, as other reviews have stated. Especially during the pandemic I would hope that they're doing their due diligence when it comes to cleaning, but from what I saw, I seriously doubt that. There was dollops of hair still in the sink, the floor was dirty, there were other hairs all over. Overall, I won't return. But I'm thankful for how quickly they saw me, the receptionist and her calm demeanor and the fact that they didn't charge me. I would suggest maybe finding another clinic if you have the chance.

Throughout the years when faced with difficult decisions about my various pets I have always known I could trust Dr Om’s advise. He truly cares about his animal patients and will only do procedures that are in the animal’s best interest. Last spring after what he said was a sleepless night he phoned me on an early Sunday morning morning saying he wanted to re-examine my very ill dog and arrange for emergency surgery on Sunday evening, saving my dear Thor’s life. For excellent over the top care the bill was unbelievably low. Tonight I sit with the same dog who just yesterday was next to death after ingesting a diaper thankful for having this wonderful vet watching over my pets. If I could leave negative 10 I would. Instead of answering their phones, or replying to MY email, or calling ME back, they just contacted the backyard breeder I got my kitten from. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. And what vet, when presented with 20 kittens, all infected with ringworm, just goes ahead and spay/ neuters them all, without treating the ringworm which was/ is bad enough that hair had to be cut to attempted to treat it with cream? A vet that is out to make a quick buck that’s why. Won’t ever recommend or suggest, and definitely wouldn’t waste my hard earned money on a place like this.

I am writing this in response to a negative review that was posted by Darcy Miller about this clinic. Unfortunately, it won’t allow me to reply directly. Just to clarify, this person bought a kitten from me that was indeed being treated for a fungal infection, which she was fully aware of. She chose to take the kitten and continue the treatment herself, therefore we requested the vet spay and microchip her before leaving for her new home. Our vet was not treating her for the fungal infection nor did he have anything to do with this. The entire review is inaccurate and completely inappropriate as she is not even a client of Dr. Om’s. Which is why they would not give any personal information out regarding my file. I have been taking my animals to Dr. Om for several years now and have always been treated with the utmost kindness and caring here. Dr. Om saved my cats life and I am forever greatful for that. Him and his team have always been kind, compassionate and fair with my animals and myself. Money is the last thing he has ever been concerned with. I would highly recommend this clinic and will continue to put my trust and faith in Dr. Om and the staff at Cloverdale Animal Hospital.

We've had great experiences with this clinic. Their prices are very reasonable for both regular visits (like shots, etc) and specialty visits. We recently had to make an emergency trip there for our cat and they were able to look at him and do the necessary surgery the same day, without charging an arm and a leg.

After reading many negative reviews I had to share my experience. I have nothing but GOOD things to say about the doctors and staff. The staff are KNOWLEDGABLE and POLITE. I was worried as my Malinois doesn’t like to be touched by strangers but Doctor OM was able to scoop him up and get everything done. Doctor OM also saved me a bunch of money by offering better medication choices as well as focusing on reducing prescriptions to there lowest effective dosages. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions it I would ignore the dramatic complainers, this is a great Veterinary Hospital.

Over the past few years we have been taking all of our dogs to DR.Om’s office. I’am so glad we found such a loving and compassionate doctor to take care of our dogs when needed. He is always very clear and I can always trust him. Receptionist Amber is also very kind and warm hearted. One of our dogs passed away 2 years ago and Being a difficult time Dr Om and Amber were so loving and supporting through the whole process. They kept us updated on what was happening & showed genuine care for our family. Everyone at this office truly loves animals and you can see it as soon as you walk into those doors. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who is looking for a new doctor once you go in you will totally understand. Thank you DR. Om and staff for always being there.
