Dr. Chan, Noreen, & the rest of the staff at BC Animal Hospital are the best team! We used to take our dogs to Newton Animal Hospital and since Dr Chan opened BC Animal Hospital we have been clients since day 1. Dr Chan is a very honest doctor, he his best care, advice, and knowledge when it comes to your pets. He is very honest and definately NOT a money grabbing veterinarian. I still consult with Dr Chan via e-mail and telephone even after both my dogs had to be referred to specialist. One of my dogs was recieving treatment for T Cell Lymphoma at Boundary Bay and another dog is currently recieving treatment from the Neurology team at Canada West. Dr Chan still takes time to review emails, pictures, bloodwork, and go over Raezers medications with me. I have nothing bad to say about Dr Chan and his team because in all the years my family and I have been very pleased with the services provided and we will continue to refer friends and family if their pets need care, there is no better veterinarian around.

We took our newly adopted VOKRA kitty to get checked out by Dr. Chan. I found his approach to be very practical, honest and ethical. He comes across more like an actual medical professional who sincerely cares about animals, rather some other Veterinarians who clearly are only interested in soaking you for as much money as possible. The advice he gives is realistic, smart and thoughtful. My only qualm is that he seems so passionate about his work that he talks quite a lot and doesn't always let you get a word in edgewise, lol.... But all in all, he seems to be very competent, caring and honest, so will continue bringing our kitty to him for veterinary care.

With years of experience at another clinic, Brendan started his own veterinarian practice with his wife Noreen to share with customers their love for animals, and it truly does show once you walk in! Operating in a modern facility that uses the best equipment available, your mind will always be at ease knowing that the most knowledgeable veterinarian in Surrey, BC is caring for your little fur babies like it he/she is one of his own! The vet Dr. Blondel was extremely nice. We had to drop off the pup and then talk to the vet over the phone. Thanks to COVID. Wish I could go in with my new pup in person for the check-up so as to see what all they check for. The pup walked out of there with three shots, which we assumed were recommended in line with best practices. The staff was very nice too. I have no reason to NOT go back there. See you soon.

We are from Vancouver and take the one hour drive to bring our furry babies here to see Dr. Brandon Chan, this is how much we want him as our vet and I can see we are not the only one. My pets are like family and it's important for me to find a vet that really cares about their well-being. We have had some bad experiences with previous vets and I'm so glad we found Dr. Chan. He truly cares about your pets, and always takes the time to inform and explain to you what's going on. Unnecessary procedures are never pushed and the clinic is always open and very transparent about what they are doing to your pet. The back room is usually open so you know what is going on, unlike some other vets that always close the door and makes you wonder what they are doing back there, or if that vaccine they are charging is actually being applied. Prices are reasonable, staff is friendly and the clinic is clean. I will definitely be recommending my friends to see them.

We decided to switch from our vet in Vancouver (due to a bad experience) and take the one-hour drive from Vancouver to see Dr. Chan at BC Animal Hospital. We had an excellent first visit for the wellness exam. And then Casie recently had her spay surgery done last week, who is recovering very well. Dr Chan and Noreen has both been incredibly patient in answering all questions and concerns that crossed my mind. Despite it being a little far, I have already recommended this clinic to a couple friends who also have Yorkies because I feel that this clinic is very honest on treatments, compassionate about animals, and just truly care!

We recommend Dr. Chan to everyone who is looking for a new vet. His perseverance in finding the cause of our amstaffs health issues allowed us to get him cancer treatment immediately. A less tenacious doctor would have treated the obvious problems, not getting to the root cause. We really appreciate this. Dr. Chan, Noreen, Christal, Megan and Nina have all been very compassionate and thoughtful during this difficult time. Our pets are our family and we love that they are treated as such at BC Animal Hospital (even the difficult ones).

He also is realistic with expected outcomes and won't try and automatically go for high cost diagnostics unless he feels that it is really necessary. Overall good experience. The vet doc is very caring and thorough. I never feel financially taken advantage of. They even give extra discounts here and there. I bring 2 cats and a puppy there and have never not been satisfied with he service they provide. Easy to get in, easy to park, and in a convenient area. It's not fancy but it's clean, efficient, caring and ecconomical.

Went to see Dr. Chan after I was given a list of approved vets from the agency I adopted my kittens through (they are now 2 years old). He is GREAT! I cannot speak for the other vet as I have never met her but my sister says she's good to. I had horrid experience at a previous vet clinic and was desperate to find someone good. Dr. Chan is knowledgeable and is able to take the time to explain everything, and all options, to you. He is not there to have a full lengthy 1:1 conversations but he is there to give you straight facts to help you make a decision. He never pushed for a more expensive option... in fact when we adopted our dog she had worms that COULD be caused by fleas. Dr. Chan gave us the option to treat the worms alone, or spend more money and treat the dog and both cats for fleas that there was no evidence for in the first place. He also recommended to stop wasting our money on flea prevention for the cats since they are indoor only and if we focused on the dog there should be no reason for fleas to enter the house anyway! I was very grateful for the honest opinions. He also has his own pets so he is able to speak about things on a person level and in a "this is what I would do with mine" manner. He spayed my cat and dog, and neutered my cat. He also surgically repaired both cats umbilical hernias when they were kittens. His costs are reasonable. Costs for other places may be lower, such as my old awful vet, but I would only ever trust my animals in the care of BC Animal Hospital. I have recommended this clinic to many other people who have had great experiences as well!

Just thought I needed to thank Dr Chan and Noreen for all they do! I have never ever gone to a more caring and compassionate vet and staff! They have gone out of their way for me and my furry family ... And to that I can never repay you guys!! Brandon truly cares about the animals he helps and you don't leave there without full explanation of the issues of what is needed to make our 4 legged family member healthy again! THE ABSOLUTE BEST VET. Dr. Chan and Dr. Henderson are beyond what it means to be a veterinarian. I know my dogs are in the best possible care in their hands. We drive out from North Vancouver to BC Animal Hospital and it's always worth it. They take their time to really explain things to you, including medications, procedures, etc. They really treat your animals like their own. Layla, Rocco and Nacho are very lucky to have such compassionate doctors looking after them. I cannot thank them enough! tldr: THEY CARE!
